Me and my partner ate here on the 23rd of October and were accidentally charged for 3 meals we did not order. The restaurant assured us we would be receiving a refund but have not answered our calls and stopped responding to our emails. Food was good but this is really disappointing and I would really appreciate if the restaurant responded to our emails and provided us with the refund we are entitled to. Update: Refund has eventually been processed (2 months later). Appreciate that this was eventually sorted out though.

Unpleasant waitresses who eat pieces of cake and drink coffee during service, crowded and poorly arranged place. Cakes good but not amazing. Very dirty bar, the cream served on pancakes was out before we arrived and still out when we left. Very expensive for what it is, disappointing and overpriced drinks

They have successfully messed up my order twice and have changed the filling for my pancakes with the help of a napkins right in front of me :) but the avocado toast of my friend was awesome, so have a good luck!))

Really faded glory, please spend your money elsewhere! Half frozen carrot cake, disinterested staff and a lot of dirt. There are so many nicer places to eat in Amsterdam!! I don't often leave a bad review, but this is just a warning. This place is so overhyped on Instagram, it's definitely not what it used to be. The owner should spend her time instead of on Instagram cleaning the place properly, upgrading the food and training the staff! Last Monday morning I was here at half past nine in the morning. It started as soon as I entered, without a greeting, the young girl behind the counter didn't look up or around, I was the only customer downstairs, there was a couple upstairs. I stood by the cakes for a moment to look at them and didn't really know if I could find a place upstairs, so I walked towards the stairs where the cook was working and realized that I was looking. He explained to me that I had to order downstairs first, which is fine of course. When the employee was finally done she took my order, still no eye contact; there was no laughing matter. I had paid and wanted to walk upstairs and when she saw that she quickly said that I had to take my order with me, okay. Not a problem in itself, but it is a very narrow staircase with a low ceiling and a bend that you have to crawl through, not nice to wobble with that tray. Fortunately, it is your own fault if things go wrong and the staff has no business dealing with it. Then I took a seat at the back, you think nice view with those Amsterdam roofs; but the roof terrace behind it was full of rubbish and full rubbish bags, looked terrible. I had the carrot cake, which was unfortunately very dry and even worse, it was just half defrosted so it was ice cold and had no taste. There is also no filling at all, except some grated carrot, in the cake. The saucer was not clean properly, you could see all those greasy fingerprints on it. You also have to put everything away yourself, in two gray bins near the stairs before you leave. There was a worn, rancid dishcloth hanging from the bin that had flies coming out of it, really gross. You don't want your guests to see that. I really hope they don't wipe the tables with that too. When you look up at the ceiling you are also shocked by all those cobwebs. I would really advise anyone not to eat here, not to trust.

This place was our only regret on our 8 day tour of three European cities. We went in the morning for breakfast, and there was one table who were already eating. We ordered coffee and the 15€ each “Pluk breakfast”. The place has 3 floors and on the lowest floor where there were also tables, a mop and some garbage was sitting in the open, we were seated upstairs which was fine. You order and pay first and then get your meal when it’s ready. We paid and were given our coffees, but after more than 20 minutes there was still no food in sight even though we were the only table waiting for food. After 20 minutes a man we presumed was the chef walked in and we finally heard the sound of someone beating eggs, and our plates were brought in a few minutes after that. The breakfast dish had a small bowl of the worst, sloppiest, lumpy and unsalted scrambled eggs I have ever seen. I put more effort in cooking the eggs I make for my dogs. We only ate it because at least it wasn’t raw. A small slice of bread with avocado puree spreaded on it, which was fine. A croissant that wasn’t horrible but it was a bit greasy and definitely wasn’t made with butter. A small jar of jam which was fine. And a packet of Becel margarine. So we paid 40 euros for waiting for half an hour for horrible eggs and margarine. I have no idea how this place even made a name for itself at some point. Stay away.

Very cozy and nice place to have lunch. They also keep the tables clean. It's a shame that we had to balance our drinks up to the table ourselves, not so much fun with coffee. They did deliver our food and the staff was very friendly.

The staff seem unable to effectively manage this business. They answer basic questions with the bare minimum effort and lack politeness. It's also very expensive with average food.

Came here for lunch this week. Ordered the eggs. They came out cold, so cold I was unable to eat the food. I notified the staff who asked the chef if they could warm up the same meal. I told them no as I don’t want to get food poising from eating cold eggs that have been reheated. Asked for a refund to which they said isn’t possible. I’ve given my bank details and have not yet recieved a refund for the 15 euro I paid for a meal I wasn’t able to eat due to it being stone cold. Have also emailed and DM’ed the instagram with no response to either. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Staff were also quite rude and insensitive.

We got cold (and I mean COLD) eggs Benedict delivered to the table, when we brought it back they took it to reheat…. Seeing as we don’t want food poisoning from reheated egg, we asked for a refund which apparently is not possible on their eftpos machine, we left bank details and hopefully they’ll repay us the €15 spent on cold eggs Benedict. Coffee was ok, tuna melt was ok. Staff were not welcoming. I would not recommend.

Nice place to have something to eat or drink! By the way, the staff was not friendly and we were not assigned a table (we just sat at a table ourselves, even though there was a sign that said the staff would help us?) I thought this was a shame... All in all, a great experience. cozy place, and the carrot cake is really delicious!!

The food is average. It is self service - it was busy the day we were there and the system does not work well. I had to stand in line for 20 minutes to order a dessert after our lunch. Staff were friendly. It is not a restaurant that I would go to again.

I went with my husband we ordered it and they brought just his plate, mine they completely forgot about it and they said that my food will be ready soon… 30 minutes went by, he finished his food and asked about my dish again and guess what they just forgot about it, their customer service horrendous and they just offered to return the money back. It is been 3 weeks and we never received any money back, the worst experience I ever had

Pluk quickly became our go-to spot for coffee and breakfast during our stay in Amsterdam. Their coffee was fantastic—my favorite was the caramel macchiato. And the cinnamon roll was absolutely delicious; I ended up having one almost every morning! We also tried the avocado toast topped with a perfectly poached egg and a sprinkle of chili flakes for a bit of kick. Inside, Pluk is cozy and charming. Upstairs seating overlooks the baristas crafting coffee below, adding a unique touch to the atmosphere. We only wish we could come here every day!

Atmosphere was very nice. That's why we went in. But everything seems prepped, which isn't a bad thing, but it was now tough and cold. For example, the buttercream on my pancake is warm and tastes like the bare minimum. Save yourself a lot of money, because the price does not represent the value. Oh yes, and you have to do everything yourself. You have to order at the bar and pick it up yourself.

The restaurant is very beautiful and very suitable for all tastes. Their French toast is delicious, as is the avocado smash.

Bread too thick and not toasted. Sending was very cold. Not presented garnished or decorated for the eye. Not the most relaxed breakfast. Very hectic due to the rush of tourists. You have to order yourself at the checkout and then your name will be called out loud. Very tight spaces.

Nice place where you can have a drink and something tasty. Very busy and noisy and you sit close to each other. But if you don't have any trouble with that, it's perfectly doable. Prices are quite high, but that is everywhere in the center of Amsterdam.

Super unfriendly staff, coffee was good and the location is great, but it felt like I should be happy to get my own drinks and that they didn't spit in it.

Had a nice coffee and ate cake. Friendly service. It does need to be cleaned. Plates were not washed properly and everything looked dirty and not properly cleaned.

A nice breakfast place, but the eggs were great, but the cakes were very stale and dry. It felt like poor value for money.

Bad service. Confused stuff . Long waiting time. I asked if Matcha cake was containing chocolate , the stuff reassured that there was not , and of course it was containing. Ordered oat milk cappuccino and it came with normal milk. In general very stressful experience and quite expensive. + Dirty cups !

I tried avocado toast with eggs and the dish was delicious and beautiful in appearance. The coffee is also delicious. The location is right in the center and there is also very nice tableware for sale inside the restaurant. The employees there are friendly

I had high hopes, but the iced pumpkin brown sugar spiced latte tasted like water with milk with pieces of sugar on the bottom and that for 7 euros... a bit of a shame. The food was fine, nice employees. Nice interior, but you had to come and get your own drinks and your name was shouted across the room. Not really recommended.

Very overrated. Service was bad, personnel unexperienced and not friendly. The apple pie was the worst we ever had. Soggy, tasteless and too expensive for an unbelievable €9! Save your money and pass this one by.

Staff not welcoming. We went there on 23 September 2024 morning time and we were surprised with the way the we were received. Not welcoming at all .the food look good, however we decided to leave as we really care about the way staff welcome us. When you are on holiday you care about these details so much.

A dream cozy coffee shop!! 💖 I came to this place because you can smell the fresh bakery aroma from outside. The place is cozy, the food is delicious and fresh, and the music is nice and super relax —perfect for enjoying a nice breakfast or even lunch any day. I would come back again and again. Plus, the girl serving is very kind and friendly.

Nice place, quite cosy, smiley staff 2 strong recommendations : don’t overload every dish under a liter of sauce (we tried the poke bowl, the burrata toast: both soaked in mayo or balsamic cream) while the ingredients seem fresh and tasty you just can’t take more of it! The grilled chicken sandwich was good (on the spicy side) and the avocado toast great! The dishes look very good and the edible flower is a nice touch!! 2nd recommendation : don’t spray the detergent on tables: we’re eating 20cm from it and eat as much detergent as food… it’s killing it all 4 dishes 2 small bottles of water 70eur… costly as all of Amsterdam Good luck Pluk team!

We had egg benedict and pancake which were absolutely delicious 😋 You have to order at the counter and take your seat and wait to be served. The coffee was also fine. You may have to wait a little bit in line on busy hours.

Much less choice than in the past, when there were countless cakes on the counter. Now only a limited choice. It is not pleasant to sit there, the music is very loud and it takes a long time before the place is cleared. Food also not very special

VERY rude staff. Especially the Dutch brunette girl that was working today (she seemed like the manager in how she spoke to the other staff members). Also everything is super dirty! Things aren't wiped down, I was given a dirty saucer and spoon. Just all round gross and uninterested staff. The cinnamon rolls weren't bad but both that and the coffee where exorbitant in price, even for Amsterdam!

Lovely little cafe, food is fresh and though they are busy, the service is always with a smile. I'll recommend the spicy salmon poke bowl. The salmon just melts in your mouth, served with a special sauce and soy. Will recommend if you are in the hood.

It's a shame, it looks nice from the outside, but other than that it's nothing. The cutlery was dirty, the banister was sticky, there were stains on the pillows and the food was nothing to write home about. The collection area for the used cutlery was also downright dirty.

We were staying near the restaurant so it seemed like a good idea to have breakfast there, the reality is far from what you see on social networks. The food is not that good, the place was dirty and although the prices are high they are not high enough to hire good staff. We got the surprise when we returned to our hotel at night when we saw the party that was being held inside the premises, attached video P.S: it wasn't my kind of party

Walked in to open doors at 9:03 (restaurant opens at 9) said that they weren’t open yet, we walked 2 feet and saw ppl entering and sitting down. So we walked back to sit down. We had to wait 10 minutes to order. The food was relatively bland and the portion sizes were very small compared to the price. Not worth an avacado sandwich for 14 euros. Maybe we just had a bad experience but wouldn’t recommend.

Really nice brunch restaurant, with fantastic options. Our food was delivered very very quickly and it was all delicious. My only addition could be that there could have been more friendly hospitality (not that they were unpleasant just there wasn’t the most welcoming service). Despite this I will definitely be coming here again!

I've been living in Amsterdam for 10 years and just had a quick meal here out of necessity. It's exactly as touristy and substandard as you expect. 'Pancakes' straight from the freezer into the pan, dry and chemically. All food is prepared by 1 person and served within 5 minutes. The French toast that I saw her making for someone else also came ready-made from a package. No table service, but order everything at the bar and take it yourself, which makes it way too busy and staff lose track and forget everything. Staff is too inexperienced at all. The station behind the bar where the pancakes are made was unsanitary and a big mess. Drinking from a plastic bottle instead of a glass. Spending 40 euros for 2 very mediocre pancakes and 2 drinks is insane, even by Amsterdam standards. Unless you're 15 and just want to go here for an Instagram photo, you might want to skip this. I'm really not a sour person, but I would like to prevent people from being disappointed here on their fun day out.

PLUK Bakery in Amsterdam offers a delightful atmosphere, characterized by its light and upbeat ambiance that adds a touch of cheer to your day. The flat white was well-crafted, and the protein granola stood out for its quality and taste. However, a significant drawback was the 25-minute wait for the granola (couldve been longer if i didnt approach the staff to inform them of my wait and that others who came in after me were getting their food before me), which meant that I couldn't enjoy it alongside my coffee. This delay detracted from an otherwise pleasant experience. If the service speed improves, PLUK has the potential to be a top choice for breakfast or a mid-day snack.

Looks cozy. Crockery and cutlery were dirty. The toilet was also not fresh. Cushions on the sofas were covered in stains. You must collect your order and clear it away yourself. Food wasn't bad but overpriced! Afterwards I became ill with stomach and abdominal complaints. It cannot be said with certainty whether it had anything to do with poor hygiene. The three of us had lunch there and we all got sick.

Breakfast is below average..and service is terrible since you meed to wait way to long... cakes are nice but doesnt worth going there only for that...

We came on recommendation, I don't recommend you get the toast with the avocado and beetroot. In fact for us French we are not used to vinegared vegetables. Vegetables are preserved in jars with vinegar, which gives an acrid taste. Even the smoked salmon had a really strong taste, I couldn't eat it. the rest was good, be careful the stairs to eat at the top are not at all suitable for people who have difficulty climbing.

Expensive food, terrible staff.

This is a 5 star restaurant! Atmosphere is great. Unbelievable food. Trendy place for comparable price. A must visit if you like stunning presentation, good vi e and great food.

Went for a drink and got the peach lemonade, very nice and refreshing!
