A great spot for brunch; the food was absolutely delicious. However, the service is a bit disorganized, especially when it's busy. You order at the counter, pick up your drink, and then your meal arrives later from a waiter… in short, it's a bit chaotic. The tables are also quite close together; you're really sitting near other diners. But despite that, I loved the atmosphere and the food. I think it's still a great place for a nice brunch in Amsterdam!

Not impressed with the service here. My cappuccino was a late. When I said something they had a real attitude and were unfriendly. They made me a new one and it was exactly the same. It would be good if they can train their staff to make better coffee and be a bit more friendly. Cake was good.

30 euros for 2 spicy pumpkin chai and 2 cinnamon cakes, service, customer service, greetings in option. Education might not be for free. To avoid , a total ripe off, cakes taste like yesterday, chai taste like latte with a bit of syrup.Staff is to vomit. Thank you for the disgusting experience

I came yesterday around 5 pm for a hot chocolate with whipped cream and a lemon cake. I would have been better off going elsewhere. While the place may look inviting, the staff is incredibly unpleasant. The whipped cream in my hot chocolate was completely spoiled, and I paid the price for it last night. It's outrageous. The cake was good but very dry. Avoid this place! Don't be fooled by the window display.

Doesn’t matter if the food is good or no, the service is awful. Waitress was agressive, you need to wait 1 hour for a toast with avocado, and until you receive the food your drinks are already cold.

I would give less than one star if possible. The staff were extremely rude, and the whole place was a total mess. I waited an hour and a half for a basic sandwich — and even that tasted bland.

I stumbled upon this lovely spot not far from the city center via TikTok. My first experience here. I don't know who owns it, but the service doesn't even deserve a single star. You're never greeted, they just stand around chatting, and one even managed to stand by the window talking on their phone. I effortlessly managed to catch all three ladies on their phones?! The staff coming and going is also such a strange sight. The food and drinks were delicious, and I would happily return, but I hope the service has improved since then, and I would hire new staff. Otherwise, the concept and the food are great!😄

Lovely place for brunch or breakfast. Portions are quite big and you get full easily! It’s always super busy and a bit loud and there is almost always a line to be seated. Nice people work here but obviously it’s under-stuffed as girls who accepts orders also need to make drinks at the same time. Imo it’s still a nice place to visit even tho it’s a bit overpriced :)

They're all so cute, the pastries are delicious, and the person is sweet, but they really can't make drinks. The pumpkin spice latte is the worst I've ever had. And the most expensive Evet in Amsterdam, €8, is really not OK! Also, because it wasn't tasty!

A very cute and delicious café. The avocado bread, bowls, and drinks were so delicious that we had to have breakfast there again the next day. The food is beautifully presented, and the atmosphere is very cozy.

Prices are high and the tart I had was not fresh. There are plenty of better places in Amsterdam to enjoy coffee and something tasty to eat. I wouldn’t really recommend this one.

I had the best tiramisu cookie ever at this place! The service was excellent, the sourdough bread dried out a bit, but they replaced it right away. Overall, it was a truly delightful experience. 👍🏽

The strawberry cold foam matcha is very tasty and offers good value for money, but the cinnamon roll is awful. It was dry and tasted like bread. When I pointed it out to the staff member, she said she could only add a little more cream. The cream they put on tasted like yogurt with honey. It's an expensive and overrated place everywhere.

The staff was mediocre. Not unfriendly, but certainly not attentive or welcoming. The coffee was on the expensive side, and the cappuccino, unfortunately, didn't taste quite right. A shame, especially since the place looks attractive and inviting from the outside.

I came all the way from Antwerp for this brunch spot, but the service was absolutely terrible. The staff were extremely rude. The table next to us was even sent away to give priority to white people. The avocado toast with egg was overpriced and tasteless. Not worth €15. They also supposedly ran out of ice cubes for the iced drinks, but the people behind us could order iced drinks WITH ice cubes. Cutlery was thrown on the table, and we didn't even get napkins. (Bare minimum.) The sunnyside up refresher was pure water and tasteless.

Don’t be fooled by the cute exterior, this place is a disaster. We waited forever for our food while people who arrived much later than us were served first. When we politely asked about it, the so-called manager raised her voice at us before stomping off to the kitchen. The place wasn’t even busy, and with so many kitchen staff, there’s no excuse for such chaos. When our food finally showed up, my dish was missing half the ingredients, which dribbled out later on a separate plate. We ordered pancakes with chocolate sauce on the side, they dumped it right on top. The food was bland, basic, and laughably overpriced for what it was. As a “sorry,” the manager tossed us one piece of matcha bread to split between three people. Thanks, but no thanks. If you enjoy being shouted at, waiting ages for mediocre food, and paying premium prices for the privilege, then by all means, go here. Everyone else: save your money and your patience.

I just visited this place with my family and I have to say…it was awful. First of all, the smell. The entire place reeked. The tables were dirty, the menus were sticky and disgusting, and even the bottles of water smelled so bad we couldn’t drink from them without asking for straws. The food wasn’t much better. There were only two pancake options, both made with almond milk. When we asked if they could make one with regular milk because one of the kids has a nut allergy, they just said “no, sorry.” With so many people having allergies nowadays, you’d expect more flexibility or at least more options. The worst part? Still the smell and overall unclean atmosphere. For a place in such a central location, this is just unacceptable. Not worth more than two stars. Check the reviews before you go. We wish we had.

Lovely atmosphere and we totally understand why it’s so busy! Great vibes and food all round. We tried the French toast and loved every bite. Fast and polite service with loads of sweet and savoury options for food! The matcha was nice but very milky - however it was overall a lovely visit and I’d definitely return for brunch.

Yesterday my family and I were at Pluk for breakfast and were a little disappointed. The actual space is very charming and cute but the service and food was underwhelming. My mother ordered the avocado toast and there was a very tiny bit of avocado on, would not satisfy any avocado lover, but the bread was pretty good. The eggs were also quite cold so we had to reorder those. I personally ordered the smoothie bowl which tasted very delicious but was sadly quite melted when I got it. One thing I absolutely loved though, was the oat milk latte I got, the best vegan latte ever! Overall an OK experience, the food just needs a few improvements here and there.

I ordered avocado bread and a pistachio iced latte. You have to order at the counter first, then find a seat, and the drink is called, which you then have to get yourself. This is easy to miss, as it's generally loud there with music and lots of customers. In total, I had to wait almost an hour for my avocado bread. Both the drink and the food were delicious but very overpriced. Typical Instagram spot, unfortunately, the value for money isn't there at all.

The food is dry. The sauce on the brioche sandwich is only on the outside, there is none on the inside. The Norwegian eggs are obviously overcooked. Overall, it's edible, but I would say that the price is too high for this kind of food, and if you have to wait in line, it's definitely not worth it. P.S. The bathroom has seen better days. There are interiors designed to look old, but here it's compounded by the fact that it really hasn't been renovated in a very long time. The flush button is broken, and there are cleaning products right next to it...

Unfortunately, I personally can't recommend the store... it's very cramped and noisy... the entire store's design strikes me as if it's primarily geared toward generating positive publicity on social media. I waited well over 30 minutes for a simple piece of bread with avocado, and when I asked, I was put off... especially considering the high prices, I find this very poor service. I wouldn't go back.

Four of us ate here. Everyone else was served first, and our friends who ordered after us got their drinks before us. Our drinks came 10-15 minutes later, and only after we asked for them. The food is brought to your table. Two of us got their food after about 30 minutes, and the other order was simply forgotten. So we sat here for over an hour while everyone else who had ordered after us got their food and waited. I'm happy to wait if the food is worth it and tastes good. But this wasn't the case either. So we don't recommend this place!

The restaurant has a very cute and cozy decor. There were several dishes to choose from, and the food was quite tasty and filling. The burrata toast was delicious. However, the bread was really hard. It was quite expensive, and the service could have been a bit friendlier. So, you can have a cozy meal there, but it is a bit more expensive.

The presentation of the dishes was original and elegant, and the food tasted good overall. I had the Norwegian eggs, which were tasty, but my friend’s PLUK breakfast was a miss — the sourdough bread was super stale, hard like a rock. Unfortunately, the table wasn’t very comfortable, the cutlery was dirty when we sat down, and the toilets had a noticeable smell. It’s definitely overpriced for what you get, but still a charming spot if you want something pretty and Instagram-worthy.

Walked in and looked for a table. Most tables were dirty from previous customers and the girls behind the counter were too busy chatting rather than cleaning up. Toilets were disgusting. Food was ok but quite stale. Saw the cashier decorating pancakes without gloves after touching peoples money. Every employee is eating behind the counter as well and speaking to people with a full mouth?! Apparently no supervisor present either.

Unfortunately, my experience at this café was very disappointing. The food was well below average—completely lacking in flavour and seasoning. More concerning were the hygiene and cleanliness standards. The restroom was in poor condition: dimly lit, with the flush hanging off the wall, cleaning products and toilet paper scattered across the floor, and cobwebs covering the ceiling and walls. Honestly, the state of the toilet alone should tell you everything you need to know about how this place is run — if they can’t be bothered to maintain basic hygiene in a customer-facing space, imagine what the kitchen looks like. Meanwhile, the staff seemed more interested in laughing and chatting than actually running the café. Dirty tables were left uncleared, the cook was eating while preparing food, and I watched a staff member use a glass to scoop ice from the ice machine — a huge safety hazard. Others behind the counter were casually eating while preparing drinks, which is both unhygienic and unprofessional. It was clear no one was supervising or taking responsibility. This place looks great from the outside but feels like it’s being run with zero standards or care. The only positive thing I can say is that it’s in a convenient location — but there are plenty of cafés nearby that actually take pride in what they do. I won’t be coming back, and based on the other bad reviews, I can see I’m not alone.

Visited with family and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience at Pluk Amsterdam. We ordered two matchas (1 blue) and a coffee, but all three drinks tasted almost identical – mainly like milk and water, without any real coffee or matcha flavour. A shame, especially for the price you pay. We also ordered three avocado toasts. These looked nice at first glance, but the bread was so hard that my father cut his mouth open on the sharp edges and even started to bleed. That is really unacceptable. For a dish that is quite simple in terms of ingredients, it was also quite overpriced. The service also left a lot to be desired. It says that you will be guided to your table, but in practice it was chaotic. People walked past you and sat down themselves, while there was no one to take the lead or help us. The location looks cozy, but unfortunately that is where it ends. Not a repeat for us.

It was extremely loud, so I couldn't hear the employee well. Immediately I noticed an unfriendly attitude. Due to the crowds, it took a while for our food to arrive, so I asked if it would take long. Then again I received a sigh and a disinterested attitude from one of the employees. I did not enjoy my lunch here and certainly would not recommend this restaurant.

Such a cute and cozy place close to the center of Amsterdam, they have quite a few chairs to sit both inside and outside, the staff were nice and friendly and our food was ready quite quickly and tasted really good! We tried the chicken and avocado on sourdough and the French toast, both very very delicious. The chicken dish was very nice and tender, the French toast was super yummy with a white icing on top and lots of fruits. The matcha latte with strawberry foam is a must try. Tasted very very good.

I ordered a strawberry matcha, it tasted awful. Like skimmed milk from some sick cow. When I asked why they just said sorry and didn’t want to remake it or make a refund. Also when we just came we were waiting next to ‘Wait here to be seated sign’, the waitresses were just passing by completely ignoring us, until we ourselves asked if we could sit there. We ordered food on site and it was prepared to go and everything was packaged unspectacularly. we ordered Strawberry Matcha, but the taste was like a milkshake. There was hardly any taste of matcha. The counter didn't look clean either, so no effort was made. The coffee was more like foamed milk with a dash of coffee.

The service is to die for! Ordered a pistachio latte without pistachio foam on it. Brought back, you are then told “it was over” so rudely. Then they indicate that it is finished. That's something different... then received French toast where it was neatly stated that only banana was available and the rest was not. Fine! French toast arrives without marscarpone. Given back again. Then you are told "it has been said that there will be no marscarpone, because it has run out." After an altercation with the waiter, I received a note on which I could write to my bank account so that my money could be refunded for the French toast. I had already accepted the coffee without pistachio foam. 2 days later no money in my account and when you want to call them they don't answer. In short: save yourself the visit, everything is sold out during lunch time (special) and if you indicate that something is not available, they look at you as if you have secretly eaten or drank it. Ridiculous.

Looks like a place that serves good coffee, does not. A nice atmosphere attracted us, however the coffee was honestly quite terrible. While being on the expensive end compared to similar places in Amsterdam. No roundness to the espresso and the flatwhite had steamed milk that was completely stiff foam on top and no microfoam in the cup. *rating is for coffee only, we did not have food

A little bit disapointed by the hype given on social media. Despite the place is huge, it's crowded with people who grab a coffee, look the goodies in the shops. Staff is nice but exceeded with all of these tourists. Concerning the brunch, it's just OK, very visual but there is a lack of flavours, there are more places in Amsterdam to take a good brunch. However, the place worths at least one visit to buy some decoration in the shop.

6.95 for a cinnamon roll is insulting. Plenty other nice cafes in the area that won’t rip you off.
