You won't win any war at this rate... is this being done one by one? And then comes the real shock: slightly yellow, limp freezer fries. Truly the worst way I've had them this year. I expected at least crispy, fresh fries. + kudos for the service, that's for sure.

We went there a few days ago and were disappointed. Both the reviews here and the pictures on the website had led us to want to eat there. But reality was quite different. The food was okay, but nothing special, and we've definitely had much better burgers and loaded fries at similar restaurants. Even worse, though, was that the restaurant bore absolutely no resemblance to the pictures on the website. It was very cold and uncomfortable, and there's definitely room for improvement in terms of tidiness and cleanliness. It's a shame; we were really looking forward to it.

Disrespectful. After placing the order they said everybody should order something to eat. And finally they denied our drinks as well. Absolute bullshit. They could have said even before siting in the table.

A small place that serves amazing loaded fries. The pulled pork version is delicious, and the nuggets are tasty. The prices are reasonable, and the two women there the day I visited were very friendly. Highly recommended.

Good and affordable. If you're looking for a place in Valkenburg and don't want to spend too much on lunch (a bratwurst at the Christmas market costs €7), this is the perfect spot. For three people, including drinks, it was €30. Everyone was full and happy. Highly recommended!

This restaurant is located in the center of Valkenburg, with a small but lovely terrace. We ordered Aperol and Aperol limonchello, which tasted like a sweet lemon candy, not an alcoholic drink. We ordered calamari and nachos with dips as a starter, which were a good choice, tasty and beautifully presented. The main course consisted of two burgers: one with chicken and the other with Black Angus beef. The chicken burger was served on attractive boards and had a generous portion of meat, but the beef was overcooked and overly ground, which didn't look good and could have affected the doneness (I ordered medium rare). The flavor was correct and presented beautifully. For dessert, we ordered cheesecake and waffles, and that's a nod to the delicious ending to the feast.

Excellent fries. Served in a basket with a paper insert that says "Foodporn"! Wow, those delicious fries with a homemade bami slice...it's true. Friendly service. Great place for fries and snacks!

The food wasn't very exciting; it was a huge disappointment. I wouldn't necessarily dine there again. The service, on the other hand; hats off to them! They were all on their own and remained friendly and service-oriented. Absolutely fantastic!

We went to eat here for the first time today. The owner was very unfriendly and rude and asked us to move the stroller. We didn't think the food was good for us, never again!

In a word, from arrival to departure: Fantastic! The Zoervleisj is delicious, the homemade satay sauce is finger-licking good. The fries were very well-fried. The chicken souvlaki sandwich with tzatziki was delicious! An open kitchen, and the ladies running this eatery are very hospitable. I would recommend a visit to Pommes to everyone :)

We ended up here via the Social deal. There are very positive reviews on Social so we thought we would try that too. What a disgrace! The starter was fine, fried chicken wings with delicious BBQ sauce. As a main course I had the bacon cheeseburger. The bun had been in the microwave for too long, the outer edge of the bread was super hard, on Social deal it says brioche buns that was not it either and overall I really did not think it was a tasty burger. My girlfriend had the loaded fries with rendang. Unfortunately this was also disappointing, it was dry chunks of meat and only very minimal. After this meal at Pommes we had to eat somewhere else in Valkenburg to satisfy our hunger…. I can't find anywhere. How I can respond to your response. So I'm doing it this way. My girlfriend told you that she didn't like it. If you think it is a solution to say that tastes differ, I think this is the wrong solution. I myself would always make sure to let my satisfied customer go. Too bad that didn't work out, so for us the first and also the last time. Oh yeah, and I don't want to call it complaining. I would see it as feedback that you can do something with if necessary. That choice is yours.

I wanted to use a toilet, they asked if we will eat there. We said no, but we are willing to pay some drinks in order to allow me to go to the toilet. They have sent us away. Hospitality at it’s poorest. A big NO GO

We found a super nice deal on Social Deal for a 2-course menu. Delicious homemade chicken soup as a starter and the burger will probably be fantastic too because I am convinced. The staff is incredibly friendly and you quickly feel very welcome. Highly recommended! Greetings, Zorro

Super quality and good price for tasty burgers

We were eating burgers, but we absolutely did not like it. The smash burger was not as it should be. The meat was not freshly prepared and tasted like it came from the freezer. The bread was also not real brioche. The owner came outside afterwards, but she did not understand our criticism and complained about our comments. Reply to the owner's comment: Unfortunately, all four burgers were disappointing in taste for us. The "Smash" burger stood head and shoulders above the rest in a negative sense. With the exception of the chicken burger, we found the quality of both the meat and the bread to be substandard. The service was friendly and hospitable, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, the owner's response to our feedback was unexpectedly unfriendly and not very solution-oriented. We therefore felt that we were not taken seriously and were genuinely surprised and disappointed about the way our comments were received.

Very friendly service, delicious fries, good value for money

That was by far the worst burger I have ever eaten. When asked if I liked it, I honestly said no. Then the housekeeper started to argue and said that I was asking too much for so little money. How bold is that? I absolutely cannot recommend this. I was here during the Corona period, everything was great. Today just a flop

We bought a set meal through Social Deal, and unfortunately, apart from the starters, nothing tasted good. There were four of us, and all four burgers were not tasty. When we complained, we were treated as being too critical and rudely insulted by the manager herself. And without even asking for a discount, the smash burger was rudely refused. The smash burger (mine) was neither smashed nor a broich bun. It's simply cheeky to sell it as a smash burger.

There's always something wrong...apparently the food isn't cooked after 8pm, even though the stated opening hours are until 9pm. If you want to eat around dinner time, you have to wait more than half an hour, even during the week. I can't imagine what it's like on the weekend. Disappointing. UPD: To clarify — I was physically on location around 8:00 PM, I did not order via Thuisbezorgd. I was told I couldn't order any more food, only fries, and that even for that it would take 30+ minutes. That was a bit confusing, since the place is open until 9 p.m.

Half an hour late for our reservation, no problem was made and we experienced excellent service. Delicious food and a nice concept of haute friteuse. The egg burger is highly recommended and so is loaded parmesan (whopper of a burger).

Very disappointed, everything that came out of the fryer tasted like fish. Bought via social deal you could choose a burger for a maximum of €13.95, it was one euro more expensive on the menu but we had to pay 3 euros extra. It didn't smell fresh.

From the reviews a have read I expected for more. The quality of the Frietjes wasn’t great but the most disappointing thing was a really silly one!! They have only small bottles of water and we were with 3 kids so after ordering one bottle and another bottle and other drinks I asked for tap water and they were so stubborn not to give it and has been even rude. So I bought another small bottle and then immediately left the place. It’s really ashamed!

I had the garlic fries with parmesan cheese and truffle mayonnaise and they were really good. It was quiet because of the rain, so we chatted about Disney World with the owner, who is also a wonderful person. Top restaurant!

I had a very nice meal at Pommes years ago. But now I hadn't been there for a long time and had bragged to my wife about how good it was there. But I don't know what happened there in the meantime. It was really terrible. Cracked tables and the food was really not good. The fries were piping hot But raw and undercooked. The souvlaki was mediocre and not enough. And with my wife it was sour meat.....without meat. Really a shame, but never again.

Recently had dinner here with a delegation during a bachelor party. The owners really do their best to make their guests happy. No question is too difficult. The fries, snacks and burgers are of good quality and therefore taste more than excellent! The range of (special) beers completes the experience! In my opinion, highly recommended.

I used to absolutely love this place, and when it reopened after the new owners took over, I was very very excited. However, I was disappointed. I feel like the quality of the food has gone down. The fries are no longer the tasty ones I had come to love, the chicken turned dry and the sauces that I used to crave, are no longer the same. The food overal feels greasier as well. The prices have stayed the same as well, so for me personally food/price ratio has gone down.

With my family we walked past this catering establishment in Valkenburg. The sign outside recommends coffee to go. So I ordered cappuccino to go for my wife. After paying for the order, I asked if the toilet could be found at the back of the building, with the intention of using it. The lady with glasses (I think the owner) did not allow a visit to the toilet. I was told that this is only for customers sitting here. Already made it known on site that this is customer unfriendly. 'Yes, I was told we have to draw a line somewhere, otherwise everyone can use it' Anyone who does not honor the little ones... This business still has a way to go when it comes to customer friendliness and that starts with every customer who places an order. Tip: Distinguishing between your customers is disastrous in the long term, good luck with the business.

We wanted to grab some fries and stood in the queue that was already there. Other guests quickly appeared behind us. After a short time we were very rudely (!!) told to leave again because it was too crowded. Strange, because other guests before and after us were allowed to queue. This is not how you treat your customers. We then got something to eat somewhere else.

We stood in line outside to eat a hand-held french fry. Unfortunately we were sent away very unkindly because it was too crowded. However, everyone else after us (who stood opposite us for quite a while) was allowed to order. That's not how you treat customers!!!

Delicious chicken souflakie with farmer's fries, very tasty and freshly made fries. In addition, the handmade bami disc is also highly recommended. We were seated ringside for the Christmas parade and the Gluhwein Amaretto is a delicious drink that we will definitely come back for. The service is also top notch. Homemade potatoes and juicy pulled pork. The inside of the croquettes is also very juicy and chunky. However, the exterior of the croquettes as well as the chicken strips are not homemade. Very reasonable price! 👌🏼

The fries are nice and fresh but besides that the food was disappointing. I gave it the lower rating because the quality went down a lot, but the prices did not. The chicken tenders are not home made anymore and I could taste it was mora crispy chicken, €4.50 for 4 pieces is way too overpriced for these. And the pulled pork was lacking the red onions and other ingredients it used to have and promised to have on the menu. Compared to what it used to be I feel like this became another standard frituur that seems to lack passion.

Echt n lekkere tussenstop in hartje valkenburg voor n culinair frietje...met diverse extra s ook zelfs met een wijntje of biertje of zelfs n gintonic....buiten overdekt en beschut heerlijk toeven met dekentjes en warmtelampen....wel beetje krappie maar heel gezellig...mogelijkheid om binnen te eten volop ...een hele bovenverdieping ter beschikking ....let.op.die is wel alleen met een trap bereikbaar....heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam.personeel...snelle bediening ...aanrader voor n lekker zelf gemaakt frietje en even bij te komen tijdens het wandelen
