Had dinner here with a group. The service was friendly. There was a bit of a wait between courses. The food was good quality, but don't expect anything fancy.

For lunch, we had a carpaccio sandwich and a carpaccio salad. The sandwiches were perfect, but the salad was comparable to a starter; I had to search for the lettuce. I would have preferred paying a bit more and having more lettuce. The service was friendly and helpful.

A boil-water advisory is currently in effect in Amersfoort. If you order tea, you expect the water to have boiled for three minutes. If, after ordering your sixth tea, you're told as a group that the water isn't boiling for three minutes, you'd be surprised. At the very least, inform your customers beforehand that, as a restaurant, you're making the unusual decision not to boil water for three minutes.

We had a table to the right of the entrance, near the door. Every time the door opened, it was very cold and drafty. The staff also frequently left the door open. They preferred to chat behind the bar than to serve the guests. Very slow service.

I've eaten here before and had a very poor chicken satay, but this time the steak and hamburger were perfect. Keep in mind that it's a franchise chain, so you won't find any distinctive flavors. But the price/quality ratio is good. The service was poor; the staff wanted to seat us upstairs where literally no one was sitting because they didn't have time to clean the table. We cleared the table ourselves and wiped it down with a cloth. Nice place to sit. Service was provided by young, very friendly staff. The salmon was okay, but the accompanying vegetables were a bit bland.

I celebrated my birthday here and had made a reservation two weeks in advance, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. Seven of us were given a table right across from the entrance. The door was constantly left open because incoming guests, especially children, forgot to close it behind them. We had to keep getting up to close the door ourselves. Our food also got cold quickly due to the wind. If this had been the only available spot with a last-minute reservation, I could have understood. However, I had booked well in advance and, frankly, I felt it was inappropriate that we couldn't be moved. It's a shame, because it made a special occasion less enjoyable than I'd hoped.

The food was very mediocre. I ordered steak and got two pitiful, small slices of leek for ham. The service was terrible. There's a guy working there who's very unfriendly and lies to us. Never go there again, Bregje Amersfoort. Worst place you could ever go to.

Eating there on a Friday. The wait between courses was unbelievably long. The staff don't look at the customer while they're working, so they never know if you want another drink. And if you sit down with your hand up like a kindergartener, it still takes forever. We had carpaccio as an appetizer, and there was water on it...probably from the refrigerator. I had a kind of steak, which was good, but lukewarm, and the sweet potato pieces that came with it were ice cold and looked like bits of sponge...really disgusting! And then the dessert...it was pathetic!!!! According to the menu, it was supposed to be a sorbet with Spitzer and whipped cream. It was a cup of ice cream with hard lumps and no Sprite...The whipped cream didn't come from a syringe, but probably just spooned on top... All in all, eating here was a waste of money, a waste of time, and I definitely won't be back! We went to Bregje in Bussum, and everything there was much better and it was served as stated on the menu.

We had a really delicious meal with excellent service.

I found the food disappointing. My dinner companion's asparagus tasting dish looked rather sad and consisted of two green asparagus spears that had been sitting for ages. The prawn in my fish trio was on soggy toast. My vegan kebab was quite dried out, and the amount was barely enough to fill one of the two pita breads. The fries were fine, but my dinner companion's salmon steak was on the small side, and the small vegetable garnish consisted mainly of bell peppers. The cheese board for dessert was average. All in all, not recommended.

I was a little skeptical after reading more negative reviews this year, but the six of us had a wonderful meal here tonight. Great atmosphere and fast, friendly service. Good value. I'll be back soon.

Cozy, delicious, and good value for money. We were able to make a reservation for the evening on Saturday afternoon. We were seated one floor up, which gave us the cozy atmosphere downstairs, but also the peace and quiet of upstairs because there weren't many people there. We actually appreciated that. One employee was a bit curt and rushed, but otherwise, the staff were friendly and the service was good.

Definitely not worth 4 stars. Not recommended! I've visited Bregje in Amersfoort four times recently, simply asking for a cup of coffee or tea. Each time, I was refused with the excuse that there was "no room" – even though several tables were clearly empty. Even when I said I only needed 10 minutes, no exception was made. What I find most frustrating: when I returned 30 minutes later, those same tables were still empty. The staff's attitude is anything but hospitable or customer-focused. You don't feel welcome here, which is a shame for a place that presents itself as a "stylish restaurant." In reality, it feels like an overrated dining room with a lot of airs and graces and little warmth. No more Bregje for me.

I had the fish trio as an appetizer. The toast was burnt, and it was just three mini fish bites, including one croquette. I'm used to something different. I had the beef tenderloin as a main course. It was dry and tasteless. The white chocolate mousse dessert was delicious. I'll definitely come back, for that price and a different dish.

A great restaurant for the price. We paid around €19 for a three-course meal. Don't expect culinary highlights, but you shouldn't expect them for the price. I had pulled chicken, which was quite tasty. For my main course, the chicken satay was a bit bland. The fries were half-raw, which was disappointing. For dessert, I had strawberries with custard, which was also excellent.

Bad service. Disappointing experience. Food was brought without cutlery, when asked for it we got 2 forks, 2 knives and 1 napkin (weird, huh?). Fish was uncooked. But the most ridiculous was a green curry which is not a curry at all. It was rice with dry chicken pieces. We asked where is the sauce and then were given a small portion of coconut sauce (nothing to do with green curry) to add it to the dish ourselves. Also were told that a lot of people complained about curry. But why then you keep on doing this way? Desserts were below average. Went inside to pay and saw an employee hanging out with the open bottle of a bleach in the bar area, shaking it and who knows if there is a drop of a bleach in one of your drinks? This is ridiculous! Would not recommend this place. No hospitality mentality there.

I am not a hospitality tiger but I am someone who thinks logically. This is clearly a restaurant with potential. But one that lacks leadership. A simple table arrangement with a block with the table number on it is fixed in an afternoon. And the computer systems in restaurants are easy to set up for that. And if they cut back on that, you better stop. In the hour and a half that we were there, we brought something to our table 7 times that was not ours. We literally had to wait 25 minutes for our drink, after our first course was brought. So longer. You are in a restaurant for the whole package. And as they say, mustard after the meal, which was the wine. It was also said that there is only 1 person at the bar. Yes, that must be someone who knows how to get things done and also a good system, otherwise it doesn't work. The flavors were ok, but it was not such a nice experience. Even when we explained this when paying, because we were asked, "if we had enjoyed it"? Was there a kind of radio silence.. then we said and a cup of coffee had made it a bit better… radio silence again.. sorry then you really don't get it. Good luck with everything because we really want the best for restaurants and maybe it was a bad evening. But really we hope that something will be done logistically and maybe a training for the staff.

I won't say anything about the food, we were 15 people and everyone enjoyed themselves. Only if you want to drink something you better order it days in advance. The drink delivery is really worthless. For example, I ordered water for someone 5 times, that still has to be delivered while we have been gone for a few hours. First drinks ordered, took half an hour before some arrived at the table. Food is fine but really bring your own drinks if you want to drink something on time, takes ages.

We have been to this restaurant two nights in a row now – first in Bussum and then in Amersfoort – to see if the first time wasn’t a coincidence. It certainly wasn’t. It is a cozy restaurant with friendly staff and delicious food. The pullen chicken in particular is super tasty. (the fries are also really great, very simple but deliciously crispy) All in all it is just a good deal for this price. We will definitely come back here again.

Surprisingly delicious food on a Wednesday. Burrata salad and sushi trio as a starter. Street food platter and goat cheese salad as a main course. After a strawberry tart. Quiet upstairs, too busy downstairs due to MAX discount campaign. As a result, a long wait and I had the idea that the staff could not keep up with the crowds. They were attentive and informed us how long we had to wait.

We took a short break here and ordered the 6 mixed rolls/appetizers. You could choose from 16 cold and warm snacks. VERY tasty 😋 and the price was reasonable, too. Excellent service, very friendly. We'll stop here again next time we're in Amersfoort. THANK YOU

Mother's Day brunch. But it shouldn't have that name: very little for that price Unlimited drinks, but always a long wait, had to ask for it ourselves. The table was not cleared in between. Even though it wasn't full. After paying, there was no 'see you later'. In short, it was the first and last time. There are better restaurants on Eemplein.

We had to wait a long time for our 1st drink. Waited a long time for the main course. Not expensive here, but the quality is there too. Simple, well done, but a little too little flavor. Satay on the dry side. Sauce on the meat of the other dish was minimal. Is the food served as someone else at the table checks whether it all tastes good? Let's take a bite first, I would say. Bad acoustics. Chair with bars is not comfortable. This restaurant is an option for a quick bite. We won't be coming back here ourselves.

I had dinner at Bregje at Easter, but found the brunch very poor. Received soup that was lukewarm, came with a croquette sandwich, but you can't call this a croquette sandwich, it was a mini croquette on a very small bun, croissant was so small that you could eat it in one bite. You need to do this better, we heard several times from people that they thought so too.

Nice location at the Eemplein (parking underground) and with views over the canal. Prices are good (20 euro for a 3 course meal) but the food isn't anything special (nothing bad about it, it's just not special). Some combinations in the starters trios are a bit odd (like the sate mixed with two deep fried dishes). Overall an OK experience for the price. There were plenty of staff when we visited so the services was good. I think it will be a very nice place in summer to sit on the terrace at the canal.

Mixed feelings about our evening at Bregje. The starter was cold and the vegetables were boiled to snot. The rest was tasty and excellent value for money. Very nice atmosphere and beautiful view of the water. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the service. Very young team with no clear leader. Everyone just did what they wanted and one dish after another was delivered to the wrong table or passed on incorrectly. We had to wait a very long time between courses, almost an hour before we got the dessert menu. We had already requested this twice. It was difficult to get eye contact with the wait staff. Big compliments for asking for ID when ordering alcohol!

The food was okay, we ordered the tenderloin, the portion was quite disappointing for the extra deposit of 4.50 euros. We also had to wait a very long time for our food and they did not have everything in stock, so we had to switch dishes again at the last minute. They also didn't come by for dessert or extra drinks, so we had to take matters into our own hands. Very unfortunate. We do not recommend it and will not return, unfortunately.

Do not eat here if you are a vegetarian or vegan. The vegetarian options could also be ordered vegan, but the trio turned out to be a sad duo (a bowl of pureed cucumber and a piece of pureed beetroot/potato toast) and the main course only omitted the sauce. The 'puff pastry tart' was raw and the filling indefinable. There was actually no dessert for me but I could get ice cream with warm cherries. I opted for just ice cream. That turned out to be a soup bowl full of orange ice cream. And I got a cup of espresso. The wine (pinot grigio) was tasty. And luckily I was in the best company.

Had a delicious meal at Bregje in Amersfoort! As a starter I enjoyed the delicious carpaccio and my friend enjoyed the tacos, both very tasty. Then we both chose Bregjes Burger as a main course, a tasty, accessible burger. For dessert my friend had the chocolate dream and I had the crème brulee with orange ice cream, both delicious! All in all we really enjoyed it, and for a very reasonable price!! We sat there for 2.5 hours and had plenty of time, but someone at a table next to us had to leave early. This was very carefully taken into account by the staff. My friend's nut and peanut allergies were also taken into account very well. He received the allergen list himself and they asked carefully about it every time. Very friendly staff!

Tonight I planned a nice evening with my wife (who has a birthday) and our two children (6 and 4 years old) at Bregje in Amersfoort. Unfortunately the service was a huge disappointment. Everything took a very long time and what was especially disappointing is that dessert – which should have been a fun moment for the children – was forgotten. I had indicated at the bar that we would like something special for the birthday, but unfortunately no attention was paid to this. The wait for the dessert order was long and long, and when I asked for someone to take our order, I was promised that someone would come soon. In the end, that person never came. It was extremely frustrating for the children, who had less and less patience. To my great surprise, I was eventually asked to pay for three courses, while we only had two. Unfortunately, this really ruined our birthday dinner. I hope Bregje takes this feedback seriously, so that other guests don't have to have the same experience.

Upon arrival we were (again) shown a spot where it was incredibly draughty. Indicated that we had been here before and this was not a nice place due to the draft. Even though the restaurant was completely empty (Monday 8:00 PM), we were not allowed to sit elsewhere. Reluctantly, I sat down in that spot again. After returning home we both got sick from the spareribs. I hope this can be corrected somehow...

Got bad food poisoning. Probably from the starter (oriental trio, chicken skewer maybe raw or the shrimp?). Food tasted good by the way. Service very bad. All glasses and bottles remained on the table, we had to ask for the menu ourselves and later whether we could order. Often no one came. With the starter, yes, but as the evening progressed the (very young and inexperienced) wait staff seemed fed up and remained hanging at the bar. We will definitely never come back here again.

Extremely poor service, when we asked if the food would take long, we were told yes, yes, it is very busy, no excuses, nothing and then our avoid the table. In those two hours we were only asked once if we wanted something to drink. Then you would think, gee, from a service point of view there is something in return. No, because we had to leave without dessert, we had to pay more than without it. Never seen any apology or compensation. It would be appropriate to get that later. Went to Bregje for the first time tonight, because the restaurant we actually wanted to go to was closed on a Monday evening. Even though I don't live far from it, I hadn't been there before. It was actually quite good for the price/quality ratio. Including drinks, we spent an average of almost 34 euros per person (with tip). You get a three course menu and we had coffee and two drinks.

Price-quality ratio is great, sometimes you have to wait a little longer to order, but for 23 euros I'm not going to complain. Tasty cocktails for very cheap and the food is very tasty. Good portions that will definitely fill you up.

Service was smooth and friendly. The portions were just right. You can get a three-course menu for less than 30 euros. Definitely recommended!

Very tasty. Good food and excellent price/quality ratio. Only downside: they don't serve jugs of tap water. You pay a few euros for a bottle of Spa blue. Really can't anymore.

You ask for a coffee with a glass of water on a hot day. No, we only serve spa blue. And then wonder why half of the Netherlands no longer goes to the catering industry. I would happily pay 7 guilders for a bowl of pleuris, but if you are so stingy not to have a glass of water then I will leave. Also at a decent tent you get a glass of water next to your coffee as standard.

The meal was very tasty, only the skewer with the meat platter tasted a bit sour and the brownie with the chocolate dream was unfortunately cold. Excellent service, but we were seated in a corner where not many staff passed by. They could do with some work on the toilets, it looks outdated and the men's toilet seat is broken.

Super tasty food in sufficient portion size in relation to what you pay. (€19.95 for 3 course menu). 1 bowl of fries for 2 people is more than enough. It's a pity that there is half an hour between dishes, even though it was quiet in the restaurant. Waiting almost 20 minutes for an ice cream dessert that has already been passed on in advance also feels very unnecessary. Having to spend a long time looking for eye contact with staff to pay is also not very nice. Staff should look around when walking around. The staff was also very friendly and attentive, just difficult to reach. Highly recommended if you are not in a hurry, but if you have less time, 2 hours is not enough.

What we ordered was gone. This is the reason for the 3 stars. Only board and coke and this was good. We have decided to leave but will definitely go back. Very friendly staff and the drink was on the house as an apology for the inconvenience. So definitely not a negative review.
