We ate at Brechtje in Emmen on Saturday evening. They're located in a charming old building on the edge of Emmen's city center. The exterior certainly has a charming atmosphere. Once inside, you quickly get the feeling of a large dining room. But that's not the concept. Once at our table, it took quite a while before we could order a drink, and in the meantime, we spent a good amount of time looking around because we were practically glued to the table. We also noticed that there were a lot of dust webs everywhere. Unfortunately, the cutlery wasn't clean either. A good cleaning service is essential in this restaurant. Once our drinks were ordered, they were brought quickly. However, it was too much for the staff to walk around the table, and they asked us to take care of it. This is probably their policy, as everyone on the staff followed the same approach, including serving the food. The food—the starter, main course, and dessert—was excellent. (Price-quality) It's been a few years since we've been here, and it'll probably be a few more years now.

We had a lovely meal here tonight, with plenty of choices on the menu, but the service was mediocre. We had to wait a really long time for our food and drinks (the second glass of wine didn't arrive until dessert, as we ordered it at the beginning of the main course). We're not sure we'll be back.

The food was great, not everything was equally delicious, but I guess that's a matter of personal taste. Service sometimes took a bit longer. The atmosphere was nice. My wife's comment was that the restrooms were really filthy.

What a lovely location and excellent food at a great price. A delicious three-course dinner for €19.95 (additional items are an additional charge). The food was delicious and the service was excellent and friendly. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, welcoming, and the seating is comfortable. Parking is free on-site and easily accessible by car.

A fantastic experience at Bregje Emmen! I ate at Bregje Emmen for the first time yesterday, and what a pleasant surprise! The food was top-quality and priced very reasonably – truly value for money. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, checking in regularly to make sure everything was to your liking. All in all, we had a fantastic evening. Definitely worth repeating!

A 3-course meal at a reasonable price, but the bottle of wine must be in a holder (no ice). Still water was a mm off and not served. The table was sticky (the owner explained that the table gets sticky under the influence of sunlight 🙃). Apparently, you can't expect too much in terms of price. Bregje, better experiences at another location.

After driving past it several times, we thought, "Now we'll give it a try!" It looks nice. But... what a shame. The staff is all young, inexperienced, which leads to many mistakes and a lack of service. You can't have a conversation at the table: it's so incredibly noisy! The toilets; there was urine everywhere except in the bowl itself. Such a shame, the food was okay.

We've been to this Bregje branch a few times now; in terms of decor, it's one of the nicer and more spacious Bregje restaurants, in our opinion. The food is, as always, excellent and affordable at Bregje. We enjoy going there.

For the price you pay, you get plenty of food, and the quality is excellent. The restaurant's charming staff goes above and beyond to provide excellent service. The food was excellent, and we'll definitely be trying more. The affogato dessert was truly fantastic.

First time at Bregje Emmen. Nice location, great service. Portions seem to be getting smaller and the spareribs could have been a bit warmer. Fries are always very good at Bregje.

Food was delicious, only staff was more busy with each other than with the guests. We are in the catering industry ourselves. Never experienced this. We were done with main course at 20:00, after waiting more than half an hour, at 20:40, we left without dessert.

We zijn er nu voor de zesde keer wezen eten, altijd zeer goed en 5 keer tevreden geweest. De laatste keer zeer lang moeten wachten, te veel gasten t.o.v. de hoeveelheid bediening ( waren meerdere klachten ) Het vlees was pruimtabak, niet mals ( ook niet nadat het nogmaals in de oven was geweest) het was ook niet gebraden, leek wel gekookt, ook de kleur zag er niet uit. Wel de laatste keer geweest, gaan er nooit meer heen.

Have eaten before, but this time was very disappointing. Even though we had made a reservation, there was no room available when we arrived and we were placed at a dirty table. We had to wait a very long time, after more than half an hour the sandwich with butter was finally brought, unfortunately it was still frozen on the inside and so we had to wait even longer for defrosted bread. Finally got the main course at 9.20pm (we had made a reservation for 8pm). Then we waited a very long time for dessert, it was already after closing time before we could start it. Unfortunately, the dessert's waffles tasted old. Way too much caramel syrup in the coffee.

Fine for the price. Dessert took a very long time and then the wrong one. Fortunately, it was resolved quickly.

After asking several times where it was, the main course finally arrived an hour after the starter had been cleared. Since it took them a long time to clear the starter and our children had already finished their food, this was not pleasant. Especially with children it shouldn't take that long. Unfortunately, the main course was also very little and mediocre in quality. The starter and dessert were good, but that was about it. Then we stop at the snack bar to fill our stomachs. We expected more as the stories and reviews were always good. It was on a Thursday evening and the place was about half full, so we wonder how long you have to wait during the weekend with a full place.

Burger pattie was frozen from the supermarket. Tacos were very tasty. The whipped cream had way too much sugar in it.

Delicious food. Generous portions. Friendly service. It's just a pity that it was not possible to serve our cappucino at the same time as the dessert, even though this had been expressly requested.

Saturday March 22. Our daughter made a reservation for our family to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Super fun and we were really looking forward to it. They can already be found regularly at Bregje, so they are an excellent choice... we thought. Nothing turned out to be further from the truth. Made a reservation at 7 p.m. and we already had some stress because the parking lot was completely full and so was everything in the area. Fortunately we were able to park some distance away and we got in at 7:02 PM. We had reserved a table without a sofa, with chairs. Point 1 did not go smoothly because we got a table with a sofa, annoying but that was the case. The drinks and orders were taken immediately and the drinks were served immediately. Kudos, super fast. And from there it was an embarrassment. The starter did not arrive until 7:45 PM, which is 45 minutes after arrival. In the meantime, drinks were replenished, the wrong drinks were given, but oh well, that was also corrected. In the meantime we were getting hungry, it was now 8:45 PM and we had not yet seen a main course. I spoke to the serving girl and yes, she had noticed that too, she went to inquire--> year, it was already ready and would be delivered shortly. We asked for the manager and he suddenly managed to serve us in no time. We ordered 3x schnitzel menu and 2xhamburger menu. 1 Schnitzel was rock hard, but he could replace it in 5 minutes...huh? The fries were lukewarm, the salads were not brought, the schnitzels were also lukewarm.... there was nothing left. It was now 9pm and our appetite was gone, we took a bite here and there but the fun was also gone and we didn't need dessert anymore. Our evening was very ruined. The manager said he would make it up to me and adjusted the amount slightly... In a friendly, clear manner I indicated that I would pay for all the drinks (well, you had to have something to fill your stomach) but that as far as I was concerned it was done. He petulantly agreed and threw the receipt in front of us. We paid and went home. Bregje done it often enough, but never experienced this. Now you might think and this is where the story ends? The order from 3 people was a schnitzel and these 3 had just made it to the home toilet.... nauseous, miserable, vomiting and.... The 2 who had a hamburger also gave this message in the family app the next day. Or perhaps it was the pulled chicken that 4 out of 5 had and number 5 had the fish? No idea. We certainly won't be coming back here. Comment from the manager: well, we are not such an expensive restaurant as in the center -> what do you actually expect? We had 200 guests... Right and that implies that we as 5 paying guests are worth nothing? Very special. And apparently the food was cooked so quickly (read probably undercooked) that we also got sick from it.... I hope that this manager is not the owner because that would be very sad, based on the reviews below me, our experience is not an isolated one... So eating at Bregje is definitely not recommended! It was really sad for our daughter that her present was ruined like that. Free food as has now been responded was not a consequence for which we came. And food poisoning has not been mentioned on our part. We were extremely careful and brought it up at a quiet moment, which was easy because most people had already left. As I said... read back in the reviews; this is something that did not only happen to us.

Good food for a good price, also tasty cocktails. Staff very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is sometimes very busy (also few parking spaces...) and with a thermostat that is set just a little too high, it does not make it comfortable everywhere. You also sometimes had to wait a long time for your food.

Always delicious food. More than enough for us. A starter, main course and dessert for €22.95 p.p. And prepared perfectly. The pork tenderloin is beautifully pink with a delicious mushroom cream sauce. Delicious starters. Go give it a try, it's not without reason that it is "Tasting Room Bregje" TOP!!

Delicious food here. The 4 of us had dinner here on Wednesday evening. The food is large enough and very tasty. It looks nice inside and the staff is friendly. They have children's menus for the little ones and you can get vegetarian dishes. Definitely recommended.

The Christmas dinner tasted reasonable, but it was not a real Christmas dinner but an ordinary menu. The cold soup had no taste. A little water with the wine is only available upon payment. The price-quality ratio of the food is excellent. Of course, for this price you shouldn't expect high-quality dishes, but most of them tasted good. Quite economical portions. However, the cocktails were like orange juice, better to get them somewhere else. Very neat and tastefully decorated.

If you like waiting too long for food where you pay too much in terms of quality, this is the place for you. We were there at 5:15 PM, drinks were delivered quickly and a sandwich in advance, great start to the evening? Right? Starter also served quickly (although you would expect that from carpaccio) but with half a jar of salt thrown over it. Then the main course, I understand that there may be some time between the starter and the main course, but waiting an hour and a half is a bit too much for me. Also indicated to the waitress who cannot handle the crowds. Although we wanted to leave, we were served food which was mediocre and quite little. If you looked around and saw the same dishes appearing with larger portions, you would have your doubts, but oh well. We didn't have dessert, because we were done with it quickly and it was already 7:30 PM. We had asked the waitress who served us for compensation and in the end she would discuss what she could do for us because she also admitted that it was her four. That didn't happen because she stood still for a moment behind the plants opposite the bar and continued to serve others, without any response. Going to the bar and paying, we were greeted by a young blonde lady with a very open mouth, the only thing she could compensate for us was that she could take half a liter of water (4.50!) from our bill and some apology. we got laundry; “yes it is busy” Very nice and understandable you would think, but if people who arrive later than us get the 3 courses earlier and leave then you are left scratching your head. So basically just paid full price without any compensation for the incredibly long wait and bad food. I would skip this “fast food that is not fast food” chain, and not visit it unless of course you like it. Service and food sucks. Too bad because Bregje WAS a good restaurant. At McDonald's you would expect faster and better food and you get value for your money.

If you are looking for good value for money, then you have come to the right place. The food is very good and I thought it was not too bad in terms of costs! Since it was very busy, it all took a little longer, but that's okay. Despite that, we really enjoyed it here.

Het eten is uitstekend maar verwacht geen grote porties. Personeel is beleefd en snel maar mogen wel iets meer letten op lege glazen. Daarnaast vond ik de tafeltjes wat te dicht op elkaar staan (bank + stoel voor 2 personen). Je persoonlijke ruimte is wat klein. Je kan de gesprekken van je buren uitstekend volgen en je kan nog net niet het eten van hun bord prikken ;) Maar al met al een mooie eetgelegenheid die daarnaast zeer geschikt is voor grote groepen.

It was very noisy because it was very full. But the service was perfect. Congratulations. The food came to the table quickly and tasted excellent. But a sour Chardonay as a table wine is not possible. Then a glass is much too expensive. A great location for an inexpensive meal. The wine was less.

In juli 2024 hebben wij hier gegeten. Helaas kreeg mijn man door de bediening een glas rode wijn over zijn colbert, overhemd en broek. Heel vervelend, maar kan gebeuren. Een verzekeringskwestie “dachten wij”. Wij konden geen bon meer overleggen. Alleen de stomerij kosten werden vergoed. Verzekering vergoed niet zonder bon werd ons verteld. INGE van Bregje EMMEN geen bon dus geen vergoeding. Wel een colbert naar de filistijnen. kom op INGE van BREGJE EMMEN als dit jou was overkomen zou je toch ook een vergoeding willen hebben, ja ook zonder een bon te overleggen. Dus klanten PAS OP! Als er iemand wijn morst op je kleding dat er niet uitgaat bij de stomerij. Dan heb je gewoon pech. Een teleurgestelde klant. Btw het eten opzich daar hebben wij geen oordeel over. Maar klantgericht zeer onvriendelijk!!

Service, great. Food was bland and had little taste. Food was nothing special. Children also took a menu, so no fries with frikandel. You had to order vegetables separately, which is a shame. We won't be there anymore.
