Went for lunch and opted for the brown bread with beef sausage, pepper sauce and onion. The taste was good, but with the two slices of primeval bread with three small slices of beef sausage and the other slice with 2 small slices and unfortunately without onion, which is promised on the menu, and everything hidden under a slice of tomato and cucumber, the whole thing was quite poor. price € 12.95 The service was very friendly.

Whenever we go to Emmen, we go here for coffee and something tasty. Tasteful and cozy.

Just had a cup of coffee, Outside on the terrace, With heated cushions and heaters.

Cozy atmosphere. Healthy sandwich topped with balsamic vinegar. Very unfortunate.

We came for the 3 course lunch, see attached photo, but this is only possible in the evening. If I remember correctly, 4 tables were occupied at that moment, so I think every customer is welcome and a lot of time is spent in the kitchen to meet our wishes, especially with many room staff who are busy with each other.

We were looking for a gluten free option to have lunch at. We ended up here by accident and were pleasantly surprised. Kind staff and especially the (not gluten free) pulled chicken sandwich was very good and a lot more than you would expect. Also the terrace looks over the whole square, which is nice and full of oak trees.

Nice cozy places to sit, not so crowded, but allergies are not taken into account. Small effort, a carton of oat milk in the refrigerator. Wide choice of tea. Service boring, impersonal. We did not eat there and could not have breakfast there

Wat een waardeloze tent! Zeer slechte bediening en kwaliteit was ook belabberd Aangegeven dat “verse” jus d’ orange niet vers was en voor €4,50 echt belachelijk weinig qua hoeveelheid. Hierop alleen als reactie gehoord dat de jus d’ orange dan al te lang gestaan had. Geen compensatie o.i.d. Alleen een mega chagrijnige medewerkster

We kwamen er voor de lunch en het eten was redelijk. Mijn drinken werd in een plastic bekertje geserveerd. Daarnaast moest er betaald worden voor het toiletbezoek. Wij hebben er eerder al eens gedineerd en toen beviel het goed. We raden het nu af doordat de service inmiddels te wensen overlaat.

Have a beer during the golden arrow. 5.50... In a small cup too, pay more for less content. The toilet costs 50 cents, even as a guest. If you don't have any money with you, you can first withdraw from the bar.

Great restaurant, we thought the snacks were okay but not very special. In our opinion, slices of ham are not special and come from a package, just like the younger cheese. Furthermore, nice to sit and wide choice of beer.

Well, what else can you add to the above five stars. Attractively decorated establishment in an old farm from the time when Emmen was still a village. The menu is brief but offers enough variety to suit everyone's taste. The staff is quick and friendly and the prices very reasonable. Drop by, highly recommended.

Lunch was ok, but the service was downright terrible. Plates are not cleared, no one comes to take an order, even after asking at the bar. The highlight was reporting that there was a long hair in the food, which was dismissed by the waiter with "oh, too bad" without any action. The man had little interest in his work...

Sat on the terrace at De Kamer on a Sunday afternoon. Lovely terrace with shade from trees and you can sit out of the wind. Very friendly and attentive service. The patio worker asked if we were cold and if we wanted to sit in a different place where she could turn on a heater for us. Tasty beers and snacks that were adjusted by the chef because we didn't like something. In short: a great time here!

Delicious 3 course menu for less than 30 euros. Price quality Okay.

Smooth and attentive service, delicious food that is served within 10 to 15 minutes, beautiful place with a generous view of a pleasant square, always something to see. Highly recommended: the cappuccino or latte macchiato with the fresh cake, really delicious.

Vanuit Alkmaar naar Emmen afgereisd. Hier hebben we vanavond genoten van de fijne ambiance van 'de Kamer'. Een onwijs mooie horeca gelegenheid waar we heerlijk gegeten en gedronken hebben en waar het personeel super vriendelijk en attent was! Helaas is dit tegenwoordig meer uitzondering dan de regel! Heerlijke plek om even te genieten van een uitstekend drie gangen diner en top bediening. Gerookte makreel en Coburgerham als voorgerecht. Varkens procureur als hoofdgerecht en een super verrassend dessert met smaak explosies. Wij komen hier graag.

Mediocre lunch, we had plate of the day: small chicken schnitzel with some fries, way too expensive. Next time we'll eat somewhere else.

Everyone here is of good will, but our starters were really too cold. Main course (veal) undercooked and the carrots raw. I have no idea what went wrong, but I don't recommend it

We actually wanted a high tea that was listed among the menus with the message "please allow 15 minutes of preparation time". Unfortunately, the waiter told us that this had to be ordered a day in advance. Because of our conversation about this, the waiter would take this into account in the next discussion about new menus and adjust the text about this, I hope this will happen. For us it was not entirely a disappointment because the tea and cakes were a good replacement.

We thought we would have a delicious lunch, but alas. In a very quiet restaurant (that should have made me think…) I was served smoked mackerel that had more bone than meat. After 2 bites I gave up. Received no refund or even a word of sympathy. The only thing I was told is that a fish has bones. As if that was news to me. It just seems to me that in a restaurant one can fillet a fish so that a minimum number of bones can be found. If I indicate that the food is not to his liking, I think it would be decent to speak to the customer in a friendly manner. But even that was not possible. So people be warned

We gaan hier regelmatig naar toe voor een kop koffie of een lunch. We zijn hier altijd tevreden over en komen hier graag. Gisteren waren we hier met Koningsdag. Ik begrijp dat het druk is op deze dagen, maar de man in de keuken was alles behalve vriendelijk (kon zich niet in tweeën splitsen). Ik heb hier echt alle begrip voor maar reageer netjes. Daarnaast hebben we hier geluncht voor 60 euro (3 personen) en moesten we alsnog 50 cent betalen voor het toilet. Ik begrijp dat je voor niet gasten geld vraagt, maar voor mensen die hier eten vind ik dit niet netjes en gastvrij

Delicious iced coffee with pastry in the spring sun. Service was not very fast (it was busy) but luckily the QR code on the table worked.

It was perhaps a small precursor that you are the only one in the restaurant. Good thing they had short ribs on the menu so the menu was irresistible. Start with the Zeeland bacon, a bit lukewarm but still good to eat. Less than expected but nicely done. Then the short rib, which I was really looking forward to. Unfortunately the first attempt failed, it was very cold, it would take 5 minutes to send it back, that was correct, unfortunately and disappointing that you get the same piece reheated, causing the outside of which a piece has just fallen off to dry out. Take responsibility when you make a mistake and do it again! Taste is otherwise good, I think serving with rib gives a better experience and does something with the taste. Too bad, even if it is so very quiet that it is not possible to get it right the first time, but it was a good effort to make it right, let's just say, it was a nice tent, it took a while to arrive before someone came or you was approached even though no one else was there. People also pay very little attention and check very little whether there is a need for something, even if it is checking whether someone wants to ask something. Would be nice if it were busy. Would definitely give them another chance because it is not insurmountable, otherwise a nice place.

We had lunch on Easter Monday, nothing to complain about, but to our surprise they were out of eggs. A bit strange for Easter Monday, to say the least

Waiting for more than an hour for the first course. Apologies from the kitchen, but a group of artists came and they had to eat quickly and they all ordered soup. That was less nice. The food was okay (but certainly not too much).

The cappuccino is cold. If you say something about it, you get the answer that it has just come out of the machine. 3.40 for 1 cup of cold coffee, never again.

Delicious food, cozy places and super nice service

The tomato and broccoli soup has a very bland taste, unfortunately some salt and pepper was needed to season these soups. Unfortunately, there is no piece of bread or anything like that included, but you can order this with it. The cappuccino tasted good and is nicely served with a chocolate, whipped cream, cookie and a sip of water.

Service was grumpy in the beginning. The other ladies are great.

Nice place but a lot went wrong with the service. We asked if the drinks platter could be “pregnant-proof”. And a 0.0 beer. We got the Affligem with alcohol instead of 0.0 and there were also two types of meat on the drinks platter that are not good when you are pregnant.

Highly recommended for a High Tea package. Pure indulgence! 1 of the best experiences in Emmen. The staff does its utmost to ensure that the customer lacks nothing, compliments!

Had a lovely lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. It was very busy so that says enough. Food was very tasty and the staff very friendly and helpful. In short, highly recommended

An interesting 3-course menu was offered, but when it came to ordering, the chicken roulade was out of stock. While there was no chicken 🐓 in the restaurant 🙃 The other options were not to my taste, but nothing was offered as a replacement, the drink was paid for and we had a nice meal somewhere else

Friendly staff and attractive restaurant. Breadboard was tasty with fresh soft bread with a nice crispy crust (exactly what we like) and more than enough bread. For mains we had the dish of the day (butterfish with fries). Tasty, but for a snack of the day the price is a bit on the high side (€16.95), nevertheless in proportion. Good espresso martini, with 4 instead of 3 coffee beans ;-) Recommended!

Mooie gerechten in een huiselijke sfeer met goed personeel.

Erg lekker. Beetje meer vlees de volgende keer bij het stampot buffet. De biertjes smaakten erg goed.

Gebak was niet lekker, een open trap was niet afgesloten voor kinderen en ouderen.

Ik was hier voor het eerst met mijn zoon was gezellig en rustig,daar hou ik van en schoon natuurlijk!!!!!

Zeer gevarieerde kaart met heerlijke gerechten. De sfeer van de oude boerderij is heel gemoedelijk en gezellig met vriendelijk personeel. De tiramisu was heerlijk. Zeker aan te raden in Emmen.

Bezoek in oktober Op een zondagochtend heb ik met vriendinnen genoten van de ‘Kamers brunch’. De brunch bestaat uit een soep waarbij je de keuze bent uit bloemkool of pompoen (aanrader). Kroket, bladerdeeg, kazen, vleeswaren, roerei, salade en brood zijn ook onderdeel van de brunch. Alles lekker maar echt veel te veel voor ons vieren. Eigenlijk zonde. Het personeel was vriendelijk en het is een fijne plek om te lunchen.

Heel gezellige tent en heel goed eten en snel geserveerd

Sfeervolle locatie. Prima koffie en de lunch met mini's was lekker.

De afgelopen jaren regelmatig gegeten, de laatste 2 bezoeken waar echter echt niet wat we van de kamer gewend zijn. De heaters werden uitgezet terwijl de aanwezige klanten aangaven het juist wel plezierig te vinden en het broodje foccacia is klein en niet zoals het hoort (wit plat fabrieksbroodje met wat gaatjes en italiaanse kruiden maar zeker geen foccacia) en met bijna 12 euro flink aan de prijs. We hebben het bij de bediening aangegeven echter gebeurde er daarna helemaal niets. Een paar karige broodjes en wat koffie en we waren rond de 35 euro verder. Uiteindelijk op de markt nog maar wat te eten gehaald. De komende vrijdag(en) slaan we de kamer maar een tijdje over en hopen op een goede terugkeer.

Zeer goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Echte cappuccino. Heerlijke preisoep en een zeer prijzenswaardige hamburger.

Was gezellig druk. Even wat gedronken op het terras.

Lekker eten en een gezellige sfeer

Op het terras gezeten voor koffie met lekkers. De bediening was snel en zeer vriendelijk. De stoelen hadden een hoge rugleuning, wat voor lange mensen, zeer comfortabel is. De cappuccino was voor Nederlandse begrippen perfect. Stevig schuim waar de lepel niet doorheen zakte. Appelgebak met slagroom, waar het gebakje prima was, maar de slagroom geweldig! Van mij een dikke 9 als cijfer.

Fijne zaak. Wilde nog een drankje drinken terwijl zij blijkbaar gingen opruimen en sluiten maar ondanks dat verwelkomen zij je nog graag om nog iets te komen drinken! (Ohja zij hebben ook heerlijke sparibs)

Geweldig vriendelijke bediening en een mooie gevarieerde kaart. Fijn terras. Het bestellen via de App is ook hier geïntroduceerd.

Leuk restaurant met een mooi terras. Vriendelijk personeel. We hadden beide het 3 gangen diner. Het eten was matig. Het voorafje een salade met tonijn. De tonijn was wel vettig maar zat geen smaak aan. We moesten aan de bediening vragen of het wel tonijn was. Ze meende van wel. Wij denken van niet. Wat het ook was, aan de smaak kon je het niet herkennen. Het smaakte letterlijk naar niets en was erg vettig. De oude kaas en de dressing maakte de smaak. De saté leek gekookt zoals bij de Chinees alleen ook vrij smakeloos. Het stokbrood smaakte als het goedkoopste langhoudbare afbakbrood die in de supermarkt ligt. Al met al toch 90€ kwijt voor twee personen en heel erg lekker was het niet. We zijn voor het dessert naar de ijssalon gegaan, omdat we ondertussen het idee kregen dat dit ook tegen zou vallen. Voor ons zeker niet voor herhaling vatbaar althans niet voor een diner. Wellicht voor een kop koffie.

Een erg fijne plek voor een heerlijke cappuccino of een lunch.

Echt heerlijk gegeten en heel voedzaam

Is opzich een leuke restaurant. Het eten is goed. De bediening laat te wensen over . Wij hadden een high tea maar voor een 2e ronde thee moesten we zelf vragen en daarna weer vragen want het werd niet gebracht. Heel jammer want wij waren nieuw en we hadden wel meer uitleg verwacht . Ook voor een extra thee zeefje moest je ook vragen ,Wij vonden dat dat er bij hoort bij de uitleg .

Wij hebben hier heerlijk gegeten. Het eten, de aankleding, de sfeer die het uitstraalt en de service waren echt 5 sterren waard. Zoals op de foto's is te zien, hebben wij onder het genot van een wijntje een vis- en een rosbiefsalade gehad. Daarna roodbaars en een runder stoofpotje, met als toetje ijs. Echt een aanrader en niet duur.
