Yankee Doodle Emmen in Wijk 40 Emmen-Centrum

On February 12, 2025, the Assen District Court declared Yankee Doodle Emmen B.V., registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 82158207, bankrupt, appointing Mr. R. de Vries as trustee. The insolvency number is F.18/25/69. The legal form is a private limited company and its main activity was 56101, Restaurants.

We tried calling them several times a few weeks ago, but they simply wouldn't answer the phone. We also sent an email, which they didn't respond to. They do have a Facebook page, but they're not doing anything with it. We even called again just now, but they still aren't answering, and I'm told the voicemail is full. This is absolutely terrible, and we will never go there again. We advise anyone who asks us not to go there. If they keep this up, they'll go bankrupt.

I've made multiple reservations, and each time, they cancel them just before I leave! I can't reach them by phone.

Booked for 5pm, but at 5pm the door was still locked. Weird! The food was really disappointing. Raw meat. Meat with a really weird taste. Churros were not cooked through, sent back and we got undercooked churros again. As the highlight of the evening my son got a stomach ache and had to throw up and go to the toilet. And was sick all night. Said when paying, the only thing I heard was that she had never heard that before. Well sorry. Really disappointing!!! And weird that you also have to pay for parking. The restaurant can also accommodate that, right?

I'm not normally a complainer but...... Food was really bad. Many of the dishes taste better in the supermarket. Atmosphere was not what you would expect. Service was beyond reproach. The toilets stank and in the playroom for children it also smelled like the men's toilet. It's not worth the money. You can better pay 5 to 10 euros more for a better all you can eat.

Too expensive for not tasty food ;(

What a contrast to the former Yankee Doodle in Assen. There, the buffet selection was overwhelming. In Emmen, it's a more refined tapas-style offering. The delivery to the table after ordering on a tablet also takes quite a while and is somewhat chaotic. It's a real negative that you're under time pressure, and the tablet only shows how much time you have left. With a group, two hours is far too short. It's also disappointing that the all-inclusive menu (almost 45 euros) doesn't include dessert or ice cream! Unfortunately, I don't recommend Yankee Doodle.

Good food for a reasonable price

The food kept arriving in batches, so one person would get their appetizers before the other. Because it was so uneven, sometimes my husband would have four dishes and I'd have nothing. Or vice versa. With a large group, this isn't as bad, but with two people, it wasn't very enjoyable. Several dishes were cold. Two croquettes were even still frozen in the middle. The melon was rock hard. The two of us sat at a large round table. The dishes were constantly placed on the edge of the table, which meant we had to get up and reach to get them ourselves. (Even my husband, who is almost 2 meters tall.) The food was okay, but nothing special. We wouldn't go back.

Online is open until 10 p.m. We wanted to eat at 7 p.m.... 2 hours all in is the recipe... then I arrive at 9 p.m.... that wasn't possible... wanted to close earlier... well... Sent an email afterwards...but 0 response

The all you can eat concept is misleading. You can eat for two hours, there must be 10 minutes between orders and you can only order a maximum amount at a time. Only side dishes such as fries are unlimited. The main courses are limited. The portions are very small, so the concept is completely based on making a profit. On the one hand, of course, logical. It shouldn't be called all you can eat! The food is very expensive! Drinks excluded. The former concept of Yankee Doodle was a walking buffet. That was truly unlimited! And the costs for parking are also added!

Cozy and delicious food. Good atmosphere, great price and good service. Portions were quite large. (For tapas)

Been very ill and ordering via tablet is not convenient

My wife had both been here as children and thought it was quite an experience. We thought we would come back with our son. Unfortunately, there is little left of it. It is now a kind of tapas that you can order on a tablet. The food is quite mediocre. Meat overcooked and tough. Fries way too greasy. Everything ready-made. The price is also not cheap. With 2 adults and a 3 year old €102, it was certainly not worth it.

Not at all attractive from the outside, but when you enter you enter a whole different world. Very attractively decorated restaurant with different 'rooms'. The food was good enough, the service was fine.

Paid parking at the location is very special, but you can probably park somewhere for free. The restaurant has very friendly staff, make sure you reserve in advance (hope the website has been adjusted by now) You can order dishes on a tablet and they will be neatly served at your table. It was all tasty and well prepared. We found the blue light less successful

Nice to have been once but won't be going again anytime soon. You are sitting among the screaming children in an atmospheric room with blue/green neon lights. The food itself was fine, but the portions are so large that you are full after about 4 dishes. Then it is relatively expensive

Good food and a cozy atmosphere

Really cool idea. American/Mexican tapas. This is the second time I've been here and I'm in a “feeding coma” for the second time. Because they are tapas, you try a lot more and dare to try the unknown. I recommend ordering the drinks flat rate for the additional charge. Not for every day, but definitely worth a visit.

Very fast service and a nice varied menu compared to other all you can eat restaurants. It is cozy and warmly decorated. One star less because the ice cream is not included in the price. I would love to come back here again.

Well! Too bad, but there is no atmosphere in this restaurant. Windows are closed and it feels like a canteen. Price/quality ratio is not ok! Eating okay but not great. Not really my thing. You have to love it, I guess.

All-inclusive dinner chosen. The service is excellent, order via tablet and everything is delivered quickly, payment can also be arranged easily via tablet. Nice small dishes and plenty to choose from.

The food was mediocre, too hard, dry or not the right taste.

We won't go again because of the food, I do eat frozen meals at home... A shame because the concept and fast service are good. The atmosphere and seating are also just nice. But frozen burgers with cheap Cheddar slices, spinach from igloo and, in my opinion, everything ready-made... I can do that much better myself and fresh at home. And then the price is disappointing for the food you get... drinks are also way too expensive if you don't include it, but the children also have to pay the full price for unlimited drinks so we would never have gotten that out of it and then they are simply too expensive per piece. Also pay for dessert separately, even the rocket for the children. A package for the children that includes apple juice and rocket would be better and then the adults can do the same.

Very tasty better than expected 1 minus point hot dog was cold

We ordered the food per round of 10 minutes on the tablet. What a nice concept! I would recommend that you view the map online. That makes a difference when you sit there at the table. At first I thought the 10 minute intervals would take quite a while, but that really wasn't the case. You will definitely get tired of this!

Restaurant according to the all-you-can-eat concept. Some dishes cold, otherwise good quality and tasty dishes. Paid parking. EV charging stations available.

The chicken fillet, pork tenderloin and spare ribs all tasted the same, which was a bit of a shame, but nicely served. Service was good.

Something that was ordered was regularly not delivered. Food was tasty! Service could have been a little better. We had reserved well in advance due to Early Bird. Unfortunately, this only turned out to apply between 12:00 and 13:00. A bit misleading.

Booked for Christmas 45 pp. Now suddenly 50 euros due to a kind of early booking discount Which was not initially on the site when reservations were made.

Unlimited food for a not too high price. A kind of tapas, but many of the same types of dishes, only with a slightly different piece of meat or sauce. All in all, a lot of the same, which wasn't special, but wasn't too bad to say something negative about it. If you don't go with too high expectations, it is a great place to have something to eat with a group, but I wouldn't go there again in a hurry.

Waren mit sechs Kollegen im Rahmen eines gebuchten Arrangements mit einer anderen Aktivität dort. Hatten, ehrlich gesagt, keine allzu großen Erwartungen, wurden aber sehr positiv überrascht. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, sehr große Speisenauswahl, passende Portionsgrößen, Gerichte haben uns sehr gut geschmeckt (ist selbstverständlich Geschmackssache) schneller Service und ein angemessenes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Vielleicht nicht das richtige Lokal für ein "Gala-Dinner" (hat ja auch ein anderes Konzept), aber meines Erachtens hervorragend für einen angenehmen Abend mit Kollegen, Familie oder Freunden geeignet.

Uitserveren kan veel beter, soms kwamen delen van een bestelling nadat er al volgende bestelling waren uitgeleverd. Eten was redelijk maar niet bijzonder. Sfeer was heel onpersoonlijk doordat je bijvoorbeeld een drinken bestelling niet eens bij een medewerker kan doen alles moet via de tablet.

Sfeer en locatie is prima maar het eten valt tegen. De gerechten waar enige vorm van aandacht aan besteed dient te worden waren vooral taai en saai. Smaakmakers misten en wij twijfelde over de houdbaarheid van de garnalen.

We hebben de all you can eat inclusief drank gekozen. De eerste bestellingen lagen al heel snel op tafel. M.u.v. 1 gerecht waren de gerechten superheerlijk. Aankleding vd tent prachtig en personeel top. Hier komen wij nog 'n keer!

drinken zit er nu wel bij in ondanks dat we samen bestelden had de een het eerste gerecht al op en de ander moest nog krijgen dit werd wel beter tijdens de avond vriendelijke bediening goede uit leg wij waren met zijn tweeën maar ik vindt het wel een aanbeveling om er ook een menukaarten bij te doen je moet anders steeds wachten op je voorganger met uitzoeken als je met meerdere personen bent is de laatste persoon lang aan het wachten voor dat die kan uitzoeken en de desserts zijn prijzig vooral de ben en Jerry's ijsjes zeer klein

Vanavond ga ik uit eten bij Yankee doodle zal mij benieuwen hoe het wordt als ik al die reviews lees.

Restaurant met veel lekkere gerechten. Wel ....grote porties...wat jammer is als je van alles wilt proeven, hamburgers en Hotdogs zijn top. Bediening houdt alles netjes bij en is beleeft. Wel is het gedeelte waar wij zaten aan de donkere kant terwijl het andere gedeelte wel gezellig was

Het was lekker eten bediening zeer snel wat lastig te verstaan door de ( voor ons) te harde muziek. Verder top

Afgelopen weekend hier gegeten. Wij vonden het eten erg goed en het personeel was ondanks de drukte vriendelijk en beleefd. De 2 uurtjes die je hebt vliegen wel voorbij. Dat zou misschien een half uurtje langer mogen. Toen wij aan het dessert toe waren, waren de 2 uren al om. Je mag ook maar om de zoveel tijd een nieuwe bestelling plaatsen, dus volledig "all you can eat" is het niet. Maar zeker wel voor herhaling vatbaar.

Wel een net restaurant. Eten was op zich prima. Maar, niet bijzonder. Persoonlijk vonden wij sommige porties te groot. Wel heel vriendelijk personeel. Dit was voor ons eenmalig omdat we iets teveel het "vreetschuur" idee kregen.

Super mooi restaurant. Dankzij het tablet systeem kan je lekker aan tafel blijven zitten en toch allerlei verschillende gerechten kiezen. De kinderen vonden dit geweldig dat je zelf van alles kan kiezen en bestellen. Eten was zeer goed. Een aanrader voor ieder die lekker uit eten wil!!!

Leuk aangeklede zaak! Het eten was oke, maar niet geweldig. Wel genoeg keuze! Service mag wel wat sneller. Verkeerde bestelling en af en toe lang wachten.

Prima gegeten, mooie kleine porties ook voor.mensen met een maagverkleining ideaal, enigste min puntje, er is een knop met speciale biertjes, die mag wat mij betreft wel wat uitgebreider.

Een supper goed aan gekleed met posters en weetjes echt een aanrader het eten is een dikke 10 en bediening ook supper en snel volgende keer gaan we weer Ga zo door 👍👍👍

Heerlijk om met de kinderen te gaan eten . ..moderne tijd....eten bestellen via tablet en genoeg keuze...jammer dat er geen mogelijkheid is voor all incl met drinken
