After a bad dining experience at Van der Valk Almelo, I ended up here. Delicious homemade fries and tasty snacks, friendly owner and staff, and quick service. Excellent!

On Christmas Eve I felt like having some fries. Many cafeterias as well as Luctor's canteen did not respond to the request, but Puur Zuid delivered. Frying fries is a serious matter, even on the aforementioned Christmas Eve. The frikandel and the two croquettes were also perfectly fried. Before I cycled away, my wife said she only wanted one croquette, but I ordered a large fries just to be sure. A good choice, because she kept eating fries. In short, highly recommended.

We were here on a busy shopping Sunday. I really understand that it is a bit busier and more chaotic, but this beat everything. All young girls standing on end doing the same thing, 1 person who couldn't even handle the counter and even let the phone ring. We stood in line for at least 20 minutes (we were the 2nd!!!) and not once did the lady who was there contact us to say that we had to wait or what was going on. The boss was apparently on holiday, or at least this was also said. In the meantime, a man who had certainly been waiting 20 minutes for his takeaway order received the wrong order twice and was still unable to apologize. Not against us either, for the waiting or whatever. All 4 of us ordered and paid at the same time (2x2 fries), but the bags arrived at intervals of a few minutes, so we couldn't really eat together. There were a lot of black pieces in the fries, so unfortunately we had to leave some of them behind. No, I've had better here... 5 stars for the food (previous times) but really 1 star for this day.....

Very nice restaurant with very pleasant employees. Me and my friends arrived from Germany just 3 minutes before closing time and they were kind enough to stay open for us for a while! My recommendation if you are in Almelo for a day!

We are here in Almelo for a few days and after the cinema we have here tonight ate. Home made fries and you can taste them so delicious and my snack was also great. The owner is very friendly and came to have a chat with us. you really feel at home and welcome. The place is neat and clean and the quality of the food is simply superb. This is highly recommended if you are an Almelo resident and want some tasty fries. This is the place to be!

Had to come along once because the fries here were said to be super delicious. That's also correct. They also go for the delicious frikadel special. I opted for my favorite berehap sateh, but it turned out to be standard cafeteria quality. You can't have everything.

The tastiest fries eaten there, are freshly cut and fried. You can also taste that on the potato. Cozy and attractively decorated. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely get my fries there. Even in Belgium they don't have such tasty fries (fries), it was there recently, but the Flemish fries can't match the fries from Puur Zuid from Almelo.

With Puur Harlingen the very best fresh fries. Tested a day in between. Now let's eat it again.... Sigh... Take at least the medium portion with twice the delicious peanut sauce and possibly the mayo and onions... It really doesn't get any tastier...

The food here is very tasty. Unfortunately, it sometimes happens that we have to wait a very long time because orders are made first and then new orders are taken. That is of course not convenient. Fortunately, when we taste the delicious fries afterwards, that is forgotten again. Edit 14-05-2020: The waiting time has now been significantly reduced because orders are handled more effectively. Adjusted to a maximum score of 5 stars!
