Yesterday we dined at Rails and what a wonderful experience it was. From the moment we walked in, it felt right: lovely people, friendly staff, and a real focus on the guests. Everything was relaxed and hospitable, making you feel welcome immediately. Moreover, the food was delicious. Every dish was prepared with care and tasted wonderful, which made the dinner extra special. Michelin-worthy dishes! Wow! The atmosphere was warm, cozy, and pleasant, exactly the kind of place where you like to linger a little longer. In short: a great evening with delicious food, lovely people, and excellent service. Definitely a place to recommend and to return to myself.

Even though we live very close by, we had never been before, but what friendly service, delicious sandwiches, and finally a place in the center of Heiloo again where you can have lunch on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday! There were 6 of us and we had the round table. The food was delicious and well-presented, and even a sandwich is presented in a culinary way! It was so tasty that almost all of us ordered another one.

We were looking for a Pizzeria but fortunately it was closed. Then we decided to visit "Rails" and didn't expect much. But surprisingly this was the best food experience in a long, long time. The combination of flavors and ingredients was extraordinary, every bite a delight. I have never eaten so well. One thing was a shame, though: that I only ordered 3 courses!

We had another delicious meal at Rails. A surprise menu this time, and it was a delightful surprise. The best lamb we've had in years. The rest was also very tasty and beautifully presented. The service was friendly, attentive, and with a touch of humor, which we love. So we have eaten there often, and we will certainly do so again.

We had a truly delicious meal. There were 7 of us and we had the 4-course surprise menu. What wonderful flavors, every course was a hit! The lobster soup with asparagus was the best I have ever tasted.

We had a delicious meal, and the service was pleasant. The plates were beautifully presented. The main course from the surprise menu was a substantial piece of beef. It could have been a bit smaller, with a few more vegetables on the side.

This time there were 9 of us. No problem for this welcoming restaurant. On Monday, we enjoyed the surprise menu. One of us turned out to be allergic to an ingredient, and a few others preferred not to eat shellfish. As it happened, these were actually part of the surprises. The menu was adjusted especially for us without any hassle, with a smile from the chef. It was another enjoyable evening with excellent food, delicious wine, and a pleasant atmosphere. All but two of the guests came from far and wide (even Chicago), but being so close to the station, that is easily manageable. Highly recommended!

We had another excellent surprise menu with a Bob package. Everything was presented very nicely, and this time we had fish as the main course. You can really enjoy a nice, leisurely, extended meal there; we love going there. Rails is highly recommended, especially on Surprise Me Monday. The price-quality ratio is truly the best in the entire region.

We ate at RAILS last week, so happy to have a truly top-notch restaurant so close by. Chef Tim and his team are amazing; they are true professionals and they radiate that they enjoy their work. I had the mushroom risotto – "to die for"! – All the flavors were in perfect balance, highly recommended. As usual, good wines were served.

For my mother's 91st birthday, we had a delicious surprise meal at Rails. It was truly fantastic how Tim and his colleagues made this such a special evening.

We dined here on a Monday. Not knowing it was Surprise Me Monday (we didn't pay attention ourselves). Nevertheless, our wishes were taken into account. In the end, we had a delicious meal. Highly recommended!

Today, December 19, 2025, Rest.Rails hosted our EVA golf club's year-end closing ceremony. Twenty of us thoroughly enjoyed a culinary three-course lunch! The presentation and taste were top-notch! The informal atmosphere and friendly service made it a definite "recommendation"!

It was once again a culinary feast. Everything was very tasty. We opted for the surprise menu. Highly recommended!

We attended the special wine and food evening at the White Church! Once again, we had a fantastic meal, a lovely atmosphere, and delicious wines! We'll be back next year! And of course, we'll also be back at the restaurant!

I enjoyed the wine and dining event. The food was delicious. However, I was very disappointed with the wines. It's a shame all the white wines were the same style. I really missed a fresher white wine. And I really didn't like the wine pairing with dessert. I'm a big fan of heavier, sweet wines, and this one tasted like lemonade. I'd definitely attend the next event for the food, but the wine choice might make me skip it.

During the Heiloor wine route we got a salad of lamb ham with truffle cream. We could choose between a white petit boit chardonnay and a Saint Jacques reserve Pinot Noir. Both wines were delicious. It was very busy during the wine route.
