During the Heiloor wine route we got a salad of lamb ham with truffle cream. We could choose between a white petit boit chardonnay and a Saint Jacques reserve Pinot Noir. Both wines were delicious. It was very busy during the wine route.

Ordered the lunch tasting twice. Friendly staff, good atmosphere and very tasty food. Don't be stingy with the wine either, highly recommended

Via een kennis kregen we de tip om eens bij Rails te gaan eten. Dit was een schot in de roos. Echt heerlijk gegeten. Leuke verassende gerechten met lekkere wijn. Voor herhaling vatbaar. Bij komend voordeel is dat het treinstation er letterlijk naast zit dus je komt er zo.

Yesterday we ate at 'Rails' for the first time, the Monday surprise menu and we were surprised! What delicious food and great service, and very reasonably priced, will definitely come again!

What fantastic food this was. Let's start with the fact that it is a small restaurant, I think about 10 tables, so if you want to eat here I recommend making a reservation. We came by on Monday, when there is a special "surprise me" menu. We asked in advance if it was possible to do this without meat and peppers. This was no problem. We ultimately opted for the five-course menu, which I can recommend to everyone. The food was served beautifully. Each dish received a short explanation, which was very pleasant. The food was incredibly tasty, vegetables were not overcooked and the combinations were beautiful. We were really fans of the tuna with five spices ice cream, which sounded very exciting at first, but ultimately it was our favorite dish of the evening. The waitress were both very nice and also asked if we were ready for our main course or if we wanted to let the food go for a while. It's also nice that you can look into the kitchen. Please come visit us, we will definitely visit again!

We made a reservation inspired by a restaurant that we called to make a reservation there. That restaurant was closed for dinner because the cook was not present. When I asked for a suggestion, Rails was very convincingly mentioned. We visited Rails for dinner. The reception was very successful. It was Thursday evening but many tables were occupied. We were shown to our table in a very friendly manner. There we decided on a surprise menu. I indicated that I would like some sweetbreads. Unfortunately that has not been done. The four-course menu was wonderfully colorful from courses 1 to 4 and not such small portions. The coffee was fine. So after three hours we drove home very satisfied.

Nice atmosphere, very friendly staff and delicious food. The surprise menu in particular is definitely worth a try. Make sure you make a reservation, because it's completely full on Fridays!

They are very cooperative here and super nice! I only had a cup of tea here, but came sprinting in because I had to charge my phone between trains. The bar staff are super friendly, sociable and accommodating and helped me tremendously. Oh yes, and the tea was delicious :)

We celebrated the 14th anniversary of our marriage. Our evening was in one world: FANTASTIC!!! The food was really nice, very honest portions and beautifully prepared. The chef and all the staff is extremely friendly, greatly doing their work and very attentive (all were well informed about my diet restrictions). And…the dessert was just a killer!! Super simple and just amazing. Thank you so much Rails for this evening!

Super heerlijk gegeten in een goede ambiance. Mooie wijnkaart ook. Voor vegatarisch was het ook perfect volgens onze vegatariche gast aan tafel.

Maandagavond en volle bak dus zeker reserveren! Ik vond het eten redelijk goed maar maakte me ook niet zodanig enthousiast dat ik daar perse nog eens voor terug moet komen. In ieder geval niet voor de volle mep (maandagavond krijg je korting). Te kleine porties. Lekkere chardonnay, attente bediening. Leuk dat je de treinen voorbij ziet rijden.

Zondag gelunched met oma. Verwelkoming was bijzonder mat. Kreeg eigenlijk het idee dat ze niet op klanten zaten te wachten maar we mochten toch binnenkomen en gaan zitten. Bij de dame die ons serveerde kon er werkelijk geen lachje of iets leuks uit. Broodjes waren lekker maar je krijgt weinig voor wat je betaalt. Dit tesamen met de eerder genoemde behandeling is voor ons de reden om nooit meer terug te keren naar Rails.

Tim is voor de 2e keer bij ons thuis geweest voor het verzorgen van een tuindiner voor 16 personen. Het was weer allemaal even goed geregeld en het eten en de wijn was heerlijk. Echt een aanrader als je iets bijzonders te vieren hebt want je wordt volledig ontzorgd en hebt zo alle tijd voor je gasten.

Met 3 personen heerlijk gegeten om onze trouwdag te vieren. alle gerechten even smaakvol en mooi gepresenteerd, vriendelijke bediening en de eigenaar(chef kok) komt ook langs aan tafel. Dit was ons 2e bezoek aan Rails en wij zijn fan. Ga zo door.

Heerlijk gegeten, mooi opgemaakte gerechten, goede gastheer en -vrouw, … en voor een hele mooie prijs! Een echte goede kop koffie voor 2,50! Zouden andere horecagelegenheden eens naar moeten kijken!

Restaurant Rails is een geweldige plek om een avond uit eten te gaan. De bediening is ontzettend vriendelijk en gastvrij. Ze weten alles van wijn en hebben goed advies over welke wijn bij elk gerecht past. Het wijnaanbod is uitgebreid en van hoge kwaliteit. De gerechten zijn verfijnd en elke hap is een smaakexplosie. Chefkok Tim weet precies wat hij doet. Hij gebruikt verse ingrediënten van hoge kwaliteit en presenteert alles op een prachtige manier. Een lust voorde smaakpapillen, maar ook niet in de laatste plaats voor het oog. De borden zijn prachtig opgemaakt, zodat je niet weet waar je beginnen moet. De sfeer in Rails is warm en sfeervol, het is de perfecte plek voor een romantisch diner voor twee of een gezellig etentje met vrienden. Er is zelfs een verwarmd terras waar je van het uitzicht op het station en rustieke Heiloo genieten terwijl je geniet van je maaltijd. Wat mij het meest beviel, was de aandacht voor de gasten. De bediening was constant aanwezig om ervoor te zorgen dat alles naar wens was. Ik voelde me echt verwend en al mijn zintuigen werden geprikkeld. Ik kan Restaurant Rails ten zeerste aanbevelen aan iedereen die op zoek is naar een smaakvolle avond uit.

Ik heb hier laatst gegeten met mijn ouders. We werden eigenlijk meteen goed behandeld door de gastheer die ons allerliefste soorten wijn en dergelijke dranken aanbood om te nuttigen. We konden daarna kiezen tussen een 3- of 4 gangen dinner. Voordat de gangen kwamen kregen we nog amuse, ik heb nog nooit zo’n voortreffelijke avond gehad. Ik raad iedereen aan om hier in gezelschap lekker te komen dineren.

Prima gerechten met goede proportionering en mooi opgemaakt. Met liefde bereid en strevend naar perfectie. Goede smaken menu samenstelling en prima wijnen! Het personeel is helemaal TOP!!! Je mag zo een staf koesteren want zij maken de avond. Ook Tim is een goede gastheer met oog voor detail en kwaliteit met een goede vleug humor. Wij hebben een hele leuke avond mogen beleven waarvoor dank!

Probablement l'un des meilleurs restaurants de toute la Hollande. Un mélange de plats classiques revisités avec une touche d'originalité. Du vrai fait maison, goûteux et frais. Service très pro et agréable. Cuisine semi ouverte montrant l'équipe à l'œuvre, rodée et sereine. J'admire le Chef Tim pour sa réussite.

Het enige restaurant in heiloo waar je bijzondere gerechten eet: Bij railz wordt heerlijk gekookt en als je een van de menu’s kiest is de prijs ook heel goed. We hadden in het maandmenu een mooie krabsalade en een heel goede runderlende ( ook een ruime portie). Lekkere kazen ( kleine toeslag) als dessert. Het was wedr super.
