A truly fantastic place! I've been there several times, and the food is always amazing. Once, they messed up the number of guests (3 instead of 4), so we couldn't order (using a tablet) and we were in a hurry. This was resolved fairly quickly, and then they kept bringing us extras throughout the evening so we could leave on time and have enough to eat. The kitchen staff even prioritized our food because, due to their mistake, we couldn't order until later. That's how we solved a problem! Really great! I'll definitely be back soon!

I asked the restaurant beforehand if they had an allergen list, due to an allergy. They didn't have one. They found it, in their own words, "too much hassle to figure everything out," so they refused to check dishes if we asked. I think you can expect more from a restaurant in 2025. A particularly unpleasant way of communicating from the staff. So, we decided to eat somewhere else.

The dishes were incredibly small. While we were there, we left one dish uneaten and two smaller dishes unfinished. The owner immediately came to warn us that we would have to pay extra. We eat tapas often and have never experienced this before. We understand that if too much is wasted, you have to pay extra, but this was very little. You can sometimes dislike something. With every round of food we ordered, we were missing dishes. The staff wasn't very friendly. This is the last time we ate here.

I had a wonderful meal at Ramblas with a group of friends. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed. The dishes were all delicious and well-seasoned. We were able to order easily and didn't have to check the time. The service was also super friendly. Highly recommended for a fun night out!

The food was great! So compliments to the chef(s), almost everything we ate was delicious and enjoyable. The service was a bit disappointing. You come in and have been waiting ages to be seated. Then you've been sitting for 25 minutes and no one has come to your table. I think, okay, maybe you should do everything on a QR code, so try that, but it shows that the table hasn't been registered yet. But we really want a drink. So you wave once, and the gentleman says, "Yes, there are other guests ahead of you who arrived earlier..." Excuse me, if you show us to our table, you should register it immediately and explain the concept so your guests don't have to wait. Then you order dessert and tell them which flavor you'd like, and they come with something completely different. You say something about it, "Yes, they didn't have that flavor, and yes, the fruit wasn't there either, they forgot to make it, so it's not there." Okay, fine, but just say that and don't just put something in front of me. Then another drink was ordered at the same time as dessert, but the desserts were gone and still hadn't arrived. We had to chase it up ourselves... Perhaps they could employ more staff and train them upon arrival (someone to greet them), show them to their table, explain the process, and register them immediately so people don't have to wait long for their drinks. We're used to quite a bit, but that's a real tip that makes a huge difference and makes everything run much faster and more smoothly. The ambiance was quite dimly lit. The food itself is the star; the rest could use some improvement.

We stumbled upon this place while strolling around in the city looking for something to eat and this place caught our eye as it's one of the few places that got free tables without reservation. They have a decent choice of tapas and the food was basic, nothing special. It's a place you go to eat a lot with acceptable quality for a small price. Don't expect tender meat dishes or fancy flavors. Since it's on the main street , it can be bit loud and the interior is but dark. But overall, it wasn't bad in our experience, the service was okie but our tummies are full and not much to complain as the whole experience is what we expected to be.

The restaurant has unfortunately really gone downhill. Small mini portions. And most of it is ready-made from the freezer.

The two of us dined at Ramblas on Sunday evening and were very pleased. We received a friendly welcome, were given explanations, and checked in periodically to see if everything was okay. The food arrived quickly, and the meat was truly excellent, both in terms of quality and the chef's preparation. Ribeye and tenderloin were nicely medium. The chicken thigh was tender and not dried out. We had a truly wonderful evening and would definitely come back.

We had reserved a table for 7:15 p.m. for two people. We got there a little early and got a table straight away. Not all of the tables were occupied. The concept behind it was easy to understand. You order your food and drinks using a QR code that you scan and then go to a specific page. The drinks that we ordered first came straight away. Then we ordered food. You could order two tapas and one side dish per person per round and then you had to wait 15 minutes. We ordered our food at 7:29 p.m. One side dish, bread with herb butter, olives and tapenade also came straight away. And then we waited. At around 7:50 p.m. the service told us that ordering was currently suspended because the kitchen couldn't keep up with the orders, but that we could order drinks from the staff. At 8:04 p.m. we asked for our food and then a small portion of our food arrived. Every other table around us kept getting something to eat. But we still couldn't order and the kitchen would close at 10 p.m. We got fed up. We weren't given any precise information about when we could order again and we wouldn't get full from just one round, or rather, we weren't prepared to pay full price for one round. We complained and paid for what we had eaten and drunk and left around 8:30 p.m.

We ate here in the updated restaurant on September 1, 2025. New owner, and I must say, it's definitely improved. Tasty tapas, served quickly despite the crowd. It looked well-maintained. Ordering via the app takes some getting used to, but it's doable. I don't know if they have an escape route if you can't or don't want to order via the app.

Compared to the previous Ramblas, there's still room for improvement, though the staff does try really hard. Ordering via QR codec is quite cumbersome, especially if you're with several people. The previous tab system looked clearer and more colorful. The menu isn't very extensive, and they use the fryer frequently. At the old Ramblas, there were dishes that really set them apart, which is something I really miss now.

Ramblas has been open again for a few weeks now after a change of owners. It was always my favorite restaurant, but the previous owners made a mess of it. With a lot of passion and love for their craft, cooking, these guys took over and are well on their way to making it a favorite again!!! So give them some time. Modern and atmospheric interior! Comfortable chairs. The menu isn't very extensive yet, but everything you find on it is freshly prepared, and you can really taste it. The food is honest and delicious. You pay a little extra for the sauces because they're also made entirely in-house. It's a completely different experience than just from a bottle or jar, so we're more than happy to pay €0.50. You absolutely have to order the kefta; few can make it the way they do! There's a quiet, cozy atmosphere. I highly recommend stopping by for a delicious bite to eat!

I don’t usually write reviews, but in this case it feels necessary. When we entered the restaurant, the manager was already being disrespectful towards the staff, which gave a very poor first impression. We still decided to sit down and chose a table. Looking at the menu, we quickly realized this wasn’t authentic Spanish tapas. The fried dishes were oversized, while the meat portions were extremely small. Unfortunately, the food was far from tasty: the roasted potatoes were inedible, the fries tasted like onion rings and calamari, the chicken was dry with an unpleasant aftertaste, the meat was tough and dry, and the mac and cheese was awful. A quick trip to the restroom made things even worse — I saw vomit in the sink. Not very hygienic, but sadly understandable given the food quality. When we told the manager that we were leaving a dish untouched because of the taste, it turned into an argument with the manager. We decided not to continue the discussion and simply left. Other staff members were nice In the end, we left with empty stomachs and had to find another restaurant

We came in based off of google maps. We didn’t have a reservation because it didn’t look like a place in which you needed one. We come in and ask to be seated, the manager tried to shoo us away but then we asked if there was a table available. The manager then said that he will check since he is full for the night. We sit down, and since we are tourists, we don’t know Dutch (the manager was informed of this). We are seated and wait for over 15 minutes before being asked if we have been served. We explain that no one has even said hi to us. The waitress then says she will see if she can take over the table, and she comes to us in under 1 minute. We ask if she speaks English and she explains that she does, we then ask how the all you can eat works, since we have never been here and everything is in Dutch (expected since we are in the Netherlands). The waitress very kindly and efficiently explains how everything works and how it is done through their website. While she is explaining this to us, the manager comes and interrupts her three times getting angry at her for helping us for less than 2 minutes. The manager starts to speak to her very loudly in Dutch (but it is obvious he is mad) and drags on a simple explanation that would’ve taken 2 minutes into over 6 minutes. She then says that she can’t explain anymore and that we can’t ask for anymore help or we will be removed from the building. Which caught us by surprise since all we asked was how to order. We then get a phone call (ringer is silent) from our family back in Canada. We answer and talk (very quietly to not disturb those around us) and the manager in under a minute comes by and tells us to put the phone away (are we in third grade??). We then order the food because we already paid and it says “Authentic Spanish” and I was born in Spain. We order everything on the all you can eat menu over time since it was all together about 2 actual plates of food worth (one order of onion rings came with 4 individual onion rings for 2 people). Only to find that one thing on the menu is from Spain, and the rest is just deep fried cheese, chicken nuggets, onion rings, “calamari”, tomato soup, and seven different ways to prepare the same steak but labeled as different dishes. The waitresses are all super kind, smile, and are friendly and will quickly try to explain something if you ask. But the manager is clearly making every waitress nervous, since they constantly look over their shoulder. And he then makes the guests feel uncomfortable as all the guests get silent the moment he walks near them. If it wasn’t for the manager, the place would be 5 stars for service and 4 for atmosphere. Also, the place being booked for the night was a complete lie. As we stayed until 1 hour to closing and 3/4 of the restaurant was empty the entire time. The food was not good for the price. It is the same quality as McDonald’s for the majority of it. Most dishes also have half a bottle of pepper on them and then served like that. Finally, the physical menu they give us, is so out of date that only 3 items on the physical menu were on the website menu.

We ate a lot of delicious small tapas. It tasted great. You can order two tapas every fifteen minutes. You can taste the Spanish flavor. The sea bass is delicious. Drinks are also ordered through the app. The small snacks are brought quickly.

We went here expecting to enjoy Spanish tapas, but unfortunately, our visit was a huge disappointment. The name "Ramblas" evokes expectations of Spanish atmosphere and cuisine, but there was little evidence of that. The dishes were more reminiscent of a North African menu than Spanish tapas, and the overall atmosphere and service were more in keeping with that. The restaurant is very dark, making it difficult to see what's on your plate. Many dishes were fried and served in large quantities, while the meat dishes were sparse. The tableware looked worn and in need of replacement. It was striking that the owner came to our table during dinner to strike up a conversation. Not a problem in itself, but it felt more like a distraction when he noticed we were ordering a bit more than average. Very strange and uncomfortable. Given the high Google ratings, we expected more. We wonder how these reviews were formed, because our experience didn't match them at all. We won't be returning. There are plenty of better options in Arnhem if you really want to enjoy tapas.

The meatballs were incredibly bland; even the tomato sauce didn't make it any better. The fried chicken also tasted like water... you could tell a lot of it came from the freezer. So you order a salad with prawns and you get two lettuce leaves and six prawns. Oh well, I was okay with the prawns. The last time I wanted it again, I got two lettuce leaves and three prawns again. A bit strange, isn't it? That's how it went with several dishes all evening. I had to send the chorizo ​​sausages back because they tasted incredibly sour; I was unsure about their shelf life. I also found it odd that the pictures on the tablet differ from the actual dish you get. Here's an example: mushrooms in pesto were pictured as sliced ​​mushrooms with a little pesto, in a typical brown round tapas dish. We ate for €24.95 (via a social deal). That's simply a good price for what you get. Great location with a view of the Kornmarkt. 3 tapas every 15 minutes = plenty. You're completely full after 2 hours. And they don't keep a close eye on the time. Overall, a great place.

The food was terrible, with nachos with cold cheddar cheese, and almost all the meat and fish dishes were too cold. We reported this to the owner, who approached us in a very unpleasant manner and wanted to charge us for the dishes we didn't eat because they were simply not tasty and cold. The food itself was better than the last time we went there about a year and a half ago, and the owner turned out to be new. We were in a bit of a hurry because we were going to the cinema, and we mentioned this. Ordering via the QR code was fine, but the dishes arrived very inconsistently. For example, with a fourth order (after 15 minutes you can order two more dishes per person), dishes from orders 1 and 2 arrived, which had been placed 45-60 minutes earlier. Just as we were about to leave, a lot of dishes suddenly arrived, including a few we hadn't ordered. We pointed this out, but we were allowed to keep them. So far, it was fine... until we pointed out that we were about to leave and hadn't completely finished all the dishes, such as a few fries and a leftover sandwich. Immediately upon picking up our order, we were suddenly told in a very unfriendly tone that these would be charged extra as waste. We then asked for the manager, but he was also curt and didn't want to hear what we had to say. In short, the food was okay, but the rude service and strict enforcement of policy are a price to pay. And there are plenty of other places that offer friendlier service for the same food/money. For us, it wasn't a particularly positive experience, and expect extra charges if you don't finish a dish.

The food was great, not a huge selection, but everything tasted great. We didn't finish one dish because we didn't particularly like it, and from that moment on, we were constantly being glared at. Hence the one-star service. It's a good place, but I definitely wouldn't go back if it had to be this way.

Nieuwe Ramblas July 2025 uses the tapas concept where you can order 3 dishes every 15 minutes with a QR code. Desserts and sauces are not included. It's a strange choice to pay 50 cents for a little garlic sauce... The dishes are generally too salty and arrive within seconds. Two types of tapas are often served on one plate (see photos). Worst of all, the dishes aren't hot when they arrive. Therefore, I find the food quality very poor. The spare ribs, however, are very tender and delicious, which is a stark contrast to the rest. The music in the restaurant sometimes stops suddenly and comes back on after 5 minutes. Many dishes on the menu aren't listed on your placemat in the app. The staff does work hard, and I can't say enough positive things about that. There are clean restrooms and comfortable seating in the restaurant. A very steep staircase to enter! Many visitors need to recover after reaching the top. It's impassable for people with walking difficulties. I tried this restaurant once, but unfortunately I won't be back.

Nothing to comment on the food its of average quality . We had a decent time up until the end . We left 3 quarters of the fries ( not that many fries ) as we were full . When checking out we were billed 1.50 extra for the fries. I can understand these kind of rules for ppl who order an entire round and eat nothing . Not when not eating a side fully .... Normally i would have left a tip for the bill we had i would have tipped 5 euro,s now they have theyre 1.50 for their fries and i will not be returning . ( Ps for the International ppl ) In the Netherlands tip isnt normal only if service is good . And not everyone tips . Though charging 1.50 extra for maybe 0.30 ct of fries wont get u recurring costumers . Most all you can eat places have rules against waste but ive never in my life had it been enforced on me as we never order when full . Sometimes a side isnt eaten and never in any other all you can eat place have i been xharged for leaving one thing .

Upon entering, you're immediately struck by the modern and atmospheric restaurant. Everything looks neat, clean, and well-maintained. The air conditioning works well, even on hot days. The view over the Korenmarkt is fantastic. The service is excellent, orders are brought quickly, and empty plates never sit on the table for long. The food is good, with plenty of choice, quick preparation, and delicious. A wonderful, relaxed evening out, with no time pressure. And the background music is wonderful Spanish salsa.

After arriving, several people said someone would come by to explain the order. Ultimately, you could just scan the QR code and order via your phone—super simple, right?! Well, not so much. The system is incredibly clunky. You're allowed one side dish and two tapas per person, but if you accidentally select two side dishes and one tapas, it won't send it. You get an error message, but the overview doesn't show which one is tapas and which is side dish, so you have to delete everything and start all over again. It was a real puzzle to order each round with a large group. I also preferred having three side dishes and no tapas every now and then, because the tastiest dishes were there. I don't understand the distinction, because isn't it much cheaper for them if someone orders three fries instead of one and two meat dishes? Finally, it took almost an hour per service (the restaurant was two-thirds, if not three-quarters, empty), and the dishes were often not delivered at the same time, so one person would have had everything and could eat it all, while another had nothing at all, receiving it fifteen to half an hour later. Three services in three hours—I definitely wouldn't go back.

Afterward, we ate our dessert with the mac and cheese.

No cocktails due to staff shortage (that is of course possible) But wanting to order a rosé, but not wanting to, because you have to buy a whole bottle right away.... Too bad that this went from being so good to disappointing... After an hour we left. 11-04-'25 Delicious food! Small menu with delicious dishes. The restaurant is beautiful and innovative. Super cozy sitting, eating and drinking. Nothing was too much for the staff. We will definitely come back here.

We have been there for the 2nd time now and I can recommend it to everyone. I have visited many tapas restaurants but this one is definitely in my top 3 The place looks nice, it is clean and there is a good atmosphere. Personally I think the ladies (and the blond boy) in the service are really friendly and they bring the food super fast and in between they neatly collect the empty plates/glasses. Delicious food at Ramblas! What a great evening! We really enjoyed a wonderful tapas experience at Ramblas. The dishes were all fresh, tasty and at the right temperature. The prawns in garlic oil and the spare ribs were particularly popular, perfectly prepared and full of flavour. The service was friendly, attentive and made us feel welcome right away. The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and cosy with a lively Spanish feel without being too busy. The pace of service was also just right. Not too fast, not too slow, we could really enjoy ourselves. In short: an absolute must for anyone who loves tapas. We will definitely be back!

Excellent food and very friendly staff.

Very bad experience, we arrived there without a reservation, once we arrived at the cash register we had to wait a while before we could be helped, the lady calmly served other tables while we were waiting. While there were other employees walking around without doing anything. We waited for 10 minutes until we spoke to an employee ourselves that we would like to have a bite to eat and that we had not made a reservation. The lady we spoke to went to the other lady who was serving the tables. Short conversation between them, they look at us from head to toe. The lady comes back with the message that there are no tables available. I look around me more than half of the tables were not occupied, so I say something about this. She indicates that everything is fully reserved. Fine a bit strange but fine. Something is not sitting well with me and I think I'll just look online to see how many tables are still available. To my surprise I was able to reserve a table at the same time as we were there! And the rest of the evening there were still enough tables available! So we were sent away without mercy with the message that everything was fully booked. My conclusion very bad very bad

The food was really good. The QR code and ordering system where you have to order with your own mobile phone definitely left something to be desired. If they just put a tablet per table and would do the ordering with that, that would be a really good improvement and then it would just be good.

Delicious food, super friendly service. Beautiful view of the square, the rest of the restaurant is neat, but not that atmospheric. All in all delicious.

Food was delicious, staff was very friendly, restaurant was nicely decorated and the bill was not expensive.
