We had a fantastic evening at 't Zusje in Arnhem. The staff were incredibly friendly, the food was delicious and well-prepared. The location is very cozy and the atmosphere is very welcoming. We recommend it to everyone.

We've been to several 't Zusje locations several times. We think it's a fun and pleasant concept, especially for our daughter. Our experiences vary greatly from location to location. Yesterday, my husband and I were on our way home when we passed through Arnhem. To our delight, we discovered there was a 't Zusje in Arnhem. My husband called, even though I told him it was already way too late and too full. A cheerful woman on the phone told us there was still a (high) table available. The beginning of a very pleasant and enjoyable evening. What a great atmosphere in Arnhem! The staff is smiling, cheerful, and observant. Our drinks were refilled, they were helpful with the food, and when I accidentally dropped my cutlery on the floor, it took less than ten seconds before I received a new set. Also, and I think this is really great, I heard someone receive a huge compliment from the woman who trained her on her first day. Such a nice and important thing! From what we saw, the atmosphere among the staff was excellent, and that really had an impact on the restaurant's guests. Or at least on us. So, compliments to 't Zusje Arnhem! You (also) made our evening. Great atmosphere and delicious food. We'll definitely be coming back from Utrecht to Arnhem several more times.

I celebrated my anniversary with my boyfriend tonight! We'd been together for two years and celebrated it together at his sister's. The food was delicious, and the staff was friendly and professional :)

Tasty, but way, way too salty. They really need to do something about that. Aside from how unhealthy it is, I really struggled with it.

The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the price-quality ratio was excellent. We did have to wait a bit at first before being served, but that was due to the crowds that evening.

On a Monday evening, it wasn't very busy, but it was cozy. The tapas dishes were delicious, and the bottles of wine we chose were excellent value for money. The wine list was excellent, by the way! We were mainly served by Jasmijn, with whom we had a very pleasant interaction. We definitely recommend eating at Zusje Arnhem.

On November 9th, we went to 't zus in Arnhem with friends. Unfortunately, our first receipt hadn't been entered, but we only discovered this after we'd asked for it ourselves. We were compensated for this by being allowed to order two rounds at once, but that didn't go smoothly either. The whole evening was a mess with missing dishes. We kept complaining, but often had to ask again before we finally received them. It did look like they'd made it quickly, really quickly. For the fact that we had 6 to 8 (I don't know the exact number) rounds in 4 (!!!) hours, I thought the price was way too high. Then the app asks you to share your experience, which isn't possible... So I filed a complaint through the website, after which I received a call. The employee indicated that we were compensated with extra rounds. Sorry, I don't think there's a maximum number of rounds anywhere. She also indicated that we really didn't spend much longer than their standard service, as a round lasts about 20 minutes. If I calculate that with 6 to 8 rounds, I arrive at around 2 to 2.5 hours. That's almost half the time we spent there. Taking into account that we received two rounds simultaneously due to incorrectly entering our first order, that's incorrect. The concept is nice, but the price is far too high.

What a mess, everything is heated up from a bag and nothing is freshly prepared

We had such a lovely evening with you. It was wonderful to eat at your own pace. It was simply delicious, with only two dishes at a time. Everything was delicious and well-prepared. The staff were friendly and welcoming, from the waiters to the heroes who came to collect the empty containers and bowls. A truly wonderful experience!

We ate here on October 19, 2025, but everything went wrong. We asked for drinks, and the other person who came later for food, the first course arrived at 5:30 PM, and only at 6:30 PM did we ask for the first course. There was a different drink, which seemed like alcohol in the bottle of the safari, so we returned it. The service was nice and spontaneous, but everything was said about that. They pointed out that everything was going slowly. Then they could have done a bit faster, even bringing food that wasn't intended for us, but for another table. Then they handed in the slips, they lost the order, and misread the order on the slips. We received the wrong order, which we hadn't asked for. At the end, they said something about the safari because there was a new bottle that was the right color. The first one was clear, the closed bottle brownish. I said that, but almost no reaction, not even when the bottles smelled. Then she would have smelled it. We had to pay the full amount, which I understand, but they could have done something about these problems with the price. Furthermore, they didn't offer an apology for anything. Something happened or went wrong. I can't say anything good about how they treated us. For that price, I could eat somewhere else where we would be treated well. For this price, I think we were treated well and they do their best for their customers. I found this place, 't zus Arnhem, very bad, and that's putting it mildly. If you want a pleasant meal, you shouldn't go there. Everything goes wrong, or they make you wait extra long. It's a shame it has to be this way, but they'll never see us there again.

When we arrived, our table was unfortunately already taken, even though we had made a reservation with highchairs. A family without small children was sitting at our table. We waited almost 15 minutes for someone to help us out. Then, we waited an hour at our table for our first round of food. Normally, this takes about 20 minutes for us. This was already a disappointment with small children. Another hour later, we didn't receive our second round of food, and we were given different dishes than we had requested. There was a significant shortage of staff, and because we had told the waitresses, they didn't dare come near our table again, the manager pointed out. I can't imagine that, because compared to the service, we were still polite. We had to wait for the third and final round, as we had already been sitting for almost 3.5 hours. The salmon dish was floating in a puddle on the plate, and the salmon had hard, white chunks in it. The carpaccio was floating in the sauce; we like sauce, but it overpowered the entire dish. All in all, unfortunately, a very unpleasant experience, and we went home hungry. At the checkout, the manager wasn't surprised, as she'd heard this earlier that evening. She didn't really offer any encouragement; she only wanted to take the soft drinks off the table, but the beer remained. After all our good experiences at the sister restaurant, this was the moment we considered canceling our Christmas reservation. A group of 15 people. We've lost all faith in them.

We regularly go to the sister restaurant in Arnhem and Nijmegen. This time it was terrible. There was far too little staff. We were inside for an hour before we got anything. Then we got our food, but we still didn't have any bread. The waitress apologized. A really bad experience this time. I think I'll cancel the reservation for Christmas. Sorry, the wait ruined our meal. The carpaccio was inedible because there was too much sauce on it. There were hard pieces in the salmon. Yuck.

Atmosphere was uninspiring, food was mediocre, had better food from microwave meals in supermarket. Most dishes are blant, too much dressing/filler on plates. A lot of dishes come with non-specified extras (a nightmare for a picky eater). Prices are pretty steep for the experience, service was slow, except for offering extra paid drinks. The desserts were good! (Still comes with non-specified extras, but are within expectations)

We were extremely disappointed. After 30 minutes, we received our first drink. Then we had to wait a long time for the first round of food. The chicken was dried out, and some dishes had less than a gourmet piece of meat added. The staff seemed preoccupied with being busy and paid little attention to the guests. The restaurant itself, however, looks very atmospheric.

We ate there on September 20th. We received a polite and friendly welcome. The first course took a long time, and we had to ask for our drinks ourselves. My girlfriend and I were completely shocked until we got our dessert. Two mice were running around the place. When we reported it, we were told they wouldn't touch the food, and yes, it's an old building. Service had been excellent, but we were told everything was fine. We won't be seeing them again.

I was very pleased with the food, and the atmosphere was also excellent. One of the servers was arrogant and rude. Unacceptable. There was also a strong smell of cigarettes when she came by. I hope this will be addressed!

We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. It's a wonderful restaurant where you immediately feel at home. The food was truly delicious; we had 7 rounds of food per person, and it was superb. Always good and great environment

Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy it. The staff seemed indifferent. Plates weren't cleared away. They brought the next round, but there was no room on the table, so we sat with the dirty plates in our hands to make room for the new ones. Some people almost threw their plates down. Another round came with burnt meat and an empty sauce container. Most of the food was already cold. It was truly one of the worst experiences at 't zus. You simply didn't feel welcome. And that for such an expensive evening. A shame.

Het tapasconcept is echt geweldig. Je kunt onbeperkt kleine gerechtjes bestellen, wat het perfect maakt om van alles te proeven zonder meteen vol te zitten. De kaart is verrassend uitgebreid met voor ieder wat wils. Van vlees en vis tot vegetarische en zelfs vegan opties. Onze favorieten waren de carpaccio en de kipsaté. Alles was mooi opgemaakt en smaakte vers bereid. Wat ook opviel, was de fijne sfeer in het restaurant. De verlichting is warm en gezellig, en ondanks dat het restaurant goed gevuld was, was het niet te lawaaierig. We konden elkaar goed verstaan en voelden ons echt even een avondje weg. Tot slot: de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is prima. Voor wat je krijgt – een avondvullend diner met goede service – is het het geld meer dan waard.

We genoten met z’n viertjes van een gezellige avond bij ’t Zusje Arnhem. De sfeer was warm en uitnodigend, het personeel vriendelijk en attent. De kleine gerechtjes vielen bij de kinderen in de smaak. Kortom: een aanrader voor gezinnen.

Dinsdag bij jullie wezen dineren. Gastvrouw legde duidelijk uit wat de bedoeling was en de drankjes stonden steeds verrassend snel op tafel. Wij kregen - zonder hierom te vragen - ijs bij onze fles water en wijn. Gedurende de avond was de service goed. Alle medewerkers waren erg vriendelijk. We zaten heel rustig te genieten! Aanraders: beef tataki, zalmfilet en de mosterdsoep.

What a lovely evening! We sat on the terrace and it felt like a mini-vacation. The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff super friendly, and we were truly pampered. The small plates concept is ideal; you can try everything without the stress of making a choice. Everything was incredibly delicious... Our favorite of the evening? The mini burger and the goat cheese with honey sauce. The mocktails were also excellent. You can tell they focus on both the experience and quality.

The food you got was fine, but I actually found it all a bit lukewarm.

A few years ago, I regularly went to the sister restaurant, and today I went for dinner with my wife and son. It was quite busy. We were a bit early, having made a reservation for 7 p.m. What struck me was the lack of animation in the restaurant. The atmosphere was completely absent. Drink orders were taken immediately, but questions about the "Burgundian" food were only asked after fifteen minutes. We opted for the "Burgundian" (Enjoy the Burgundian Way) menu at €42 per person. You can choose two dishes per round. It takes a long time to receive your order. The staff constantly asks if you'd like another drink and apparently doesn't communicate, because after the drinks were on the table, someone came to the table three times to ask what we'd like to drink. Then there were the dishes; they weren't much to write home about. Almost all dishes were served with bread or toast, and the food was unimaginative. I had the coq au vin; it looked like lasagna. It didn't taste of red wine and bore no resemblance to how the dish was supposed to be prepared. And so it was with other dishes, fancy on the menu, but completely unrecognizable on the plate. An Irish coffee served in a tea glass. With a few simple steps, the quality could be improved. First of all, the service; with a lot of training and clear guidance, the customer experience could be restored to a proper level. The price-quality ratio is currently disproportionate. The menu needs to be changed or the price needs to be adjusted. Now, for me, it's a waste of money. I didn't say anything about the disgrace; I was with my young child and didn't want to argue.

Dishes are taking longer at some tables. Someone who arrived later than us received their food earlier.

Negative. For unlimited tapas, at €42.00 per person, you'd expect more. The time between rounds was an average of 40 minutes. They do come by often for drinks. I get it, it's a good business model. They try to sell drinks, but stretch the time between rounds so much that it's almost impossible to eat a decent meal within 2.5 hours. This isn't what we're used to from 't Zusje. The service used to be better.

Last night, the four of us dined at Zusje Arnhem, and it was unfortunately a very disappointing experience. When we took our drink orders, we were told we'd also get a bread basket. This didn't arrive until 50 minutes later. This was the theme of the evening: it took so incredibly long to get our courses. We had one course in 75 minutes, and after that, it took at least 30 minutes each time. The notes that were placed on the table were regularly ignored and not taken, but we were repeatedly asked if we wanted something to drink. In the end, we only managed four rounds of food and a dessert because there simply wasn't enough time. We paid €4.80 per course, which is really expensive for the size of the dishes. We also mentioned this to the server that we thought it was taking a long time. Nothing was done about it, and the only response was, "Oh yeah..." When we went to pay, we mentioned it again, and the only response was, "That's a long time, isn't it?" All this despite the restaurant being far from full and plenty of staff. Judging by the reactions, they didn't seem particularly bothered. Another unpleasant surprise: we ordered a bottle of wine and asked if we could have some tap water with it, as it was quite warm in the restaurant. They confirmed it was tap water, but the bill showed it was €4.80 for a 0.7L bottle. I find this utterly ridiculous. Besides the fact that tap water costs next to nothing, it's not like we didn't order anything else to drink. We even had drinks after the bottle of wine. In short: not a pleasant evening and, in our opinion, not recommended. Addition to the Zusje's comment: before posting this review on Google, I had already sent a message directly to Zusje via their "hug and complain wall." However, I received no response.

The food itself was good, but we had to wait a very long time for the next round, and every round something was wrong or forgotten. They do frequently ask if you'd like another drink. If you want a good meal, I definitely don't recommend this. The wait per round was at least 40 to 50 minutes. We managed to do four rounds in three hours, and every round something was wrong. We ordered a steak, but we didn't get it either. We asked for it three times, but after asking three times, the kitchen was closed. We found the portions on the small side. Otherwise, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was good.

We had to wait a long time before they came to take our order, even for drinks. The first time took up to 40 minutes. There were also long waits between dishes, both for collecting the receipts: 20 to 25 minutes. Not to mention the clearing. They let everything come together, the new dishes with the messy service, leaving your table completely cluttered. Every now and then they take something away, always in pieces. Definitely not pleasant. The staff was friendly and the food was decent, but certainly not great. Much of it was dried out and reheated. I definitely didn't think it was worth the money for a group of five, as we've always been satisfied with other 't Zusje locations. We certainly won't be returning here in Arnhem.

Edit) I had originally given this place 2 stars, but since they dislike negative reviews, and try to hide them, I'm turning it into a 1 star review. I'm comparing this place to my experiences going to 't Zusje in Doetinchem during the summer in 2022. The waiting time was horrible. Starter fish was cold like it was fresh caught out of the sea, carpaccio was completely smothered in mayo and again - The waiting time was horrible. Most dishes came out at a maximum of lukewarm and the only thing that keeps this review from being a single star is the waitresses. The room is simply waaay to dark in the evening and could really use just a tiny bit more light - I don't mind the atmosphere to be romantic/intimate, but I'd also like to be able to see. Super friendly, when they were around, and constantly smiling. We went there on the 30th, and despite thinking it would be an extra busy day, when we went to the one in Doetinchem in Juli is was PACKED (and they also have seats outside, while being of a somewhat similar size). I like going to 't Zusje, but I definitely won't be going to the one in Arnhem again.

We had a great evening, the staff were very friendly, and despite being busy, we still had to wait a long time for our dishes. The dishes themselves vary enormously; most of them are simply mediocre and seem reheated or have been sitting under a hot plate for ages. Of course, with an extensive menu and a full restaurant, you have no choice but to make everything fresh on the spot, but a compromise should be possible. It really felt like most of the dishes had been ready to be served the day before. This isn't how we remembered the sister restaurant from a few years ago.

Wij hebben gegeten om een verjaardag te vieren bij het zusje, maar het was erg slecht geregeld ondanks dat het personeel wel vriendelijk was. Het duurde enorm lang voordat er eten op tafel kwam. Per ronde hebben we elke keer een ongeveer een uur moeten wachten. Er zou nog een vuurwerkje op tafel komen werd vooraf bij de reservering door het personeel zelf vermeld toen we aangaven dat het voor een verjaardag was. Dit gebeurde echter niet. We hebben er twee keer naar moeten vragen. Bij het afrekenen word er voor het kind (die jarig was) nog is een te hoog tarief gerekend. Erg jammer dit alles en als dan je de onvrede uit spreekt bij de slot vraag: “was alles naar wens?” Bedanken ze je voor de feedback alsof het het weinig indruk maakt en het waarschijnlijk niet de eerste keer is dat ze dit horen. Gezien de andere reviews is het waarschijnlijk het geval….

The service was terrible. We were shown to our table (which took 5 minutes without any response from the staff), but otherwise, everything was fine. But by the time we were seated, it took a good fifteen minutes, and then we'd had enough and left. We reported this to the staff, who gave us a blank stare, saying, "Oh, really..." That was the last straw. It's a real shame, because the sister restaurants in Ede and Apeldoorn were fantastic. But this one in Arnhem was just too awful. A real shame.

Yesterday, we went to dinner with a group of women. Drinks were long and we had to wait at least an hour for the first round of food. The noodles didn't look good. It felt like a lot of them were microwaved. Putting the same toppings on different dishes made everything taste the same. The staff didn't respond to any comments about the food taking too long or not being good. After every round (we only had four in three hours), we were constantly asked if we wanted another drink. I think that's where the advantage lies. No music in the background. A lackluster atmosphere. A real shame as a way to end a lovely day.

The first four rounds had breaks of over 45 minutes in between. We were asked every 20 minutes if we wanted another drink. The staff (with a few exceptions) were grumpy, unfriendly, and rude. Because the first rounds went so slowly, we were still eating dessert late. The staff clearly didn't appreciate this. No more sisters for a while.

The staff and ambiance are fantastic at this restaurant. They're incredibly friendly and helpful, and the seating is comfortable. I can also confirm that the food is truly limited. That's why we each ordered the Adventure menu twice, as the unlimited option was too much for us. The "crispy avocado salad" dish wasn't crispy at all. Unfortunately, it was soft and chewy. Another tuna dish had a lot of guacamole on it, but it didn't taste good. I later learned it was bottled. It's a real shame about this dish. Perhaps the guacamole should be omitted for a different, freshly made sauce. And I found the wrap pollo dish a bit dry. I'll personally send this message to your website.

Great concept with all kinds of small snacks. It's nice that you don't feel rushed. You can basically stay the whole evening. Because you order small dishes, you can also taste something that you would otherwise never eat. If you don't like it, that's not a problem. Even if you have an allergy or celiac disease, you can eat well here. There are adapted menus and the food is marked with special flags. The service was sometimes a bit confusing. But it always turned out well.

We have visited quite a few Zusjes. There was a crisis in Arnhem this weekend. The hostess was hardly visible and we had to wait a long time for our food. The food was what we are used to from 't Zusje, good.

1 round done, 5 lukewarm snacks, 2 beers. We got our food after 1 hour and 15 minutes. It was also clear that the quality had significantly deteriorated, the butter chicken had a bun that was incredibly tough and hard. Normally this is a certainty but I won't be coming back.

It's a nice formula, two small dishes per round. Enough choice. Most dishes are fine. The gyoza unfortunately had a rather bland taste and was fried (which is not supposed to be) and the crème brulée had been left out for too long, causing the crispy sugar layer to become soft again. Too bad. If you are a purist when it comes to Italian food, you can better skip the Italian dishes. The vitello tonnato consisted of 50% tomato (while that is not on the menu), the pasta had hardly any taste and the bruschetta was not bruschetta but a piece of flatbread with tomato and mozzarella on it. Otherwise, we had a great meal. Grandma's pulled meat and the tenderloin tips are recommended. The jackfruit rendang is surprising.
