A well-known establishment in Zoetermeer. You are always welcome here for a tasty lunch buffet or dinner. However, the service is questionable. Our daughter would have preferred a soft serve ice cream to an ice cream sundae. So we went to the adjacent snack bar for the soft serve. This was made without complaint. However, after the bill was settled, we were informed that it could not be consumed at the table on the terrace. Strange, because it is the same owner and the snack bar guy could walk straight over to the wait staff to get his money. The wait staff also came over immediately to complain, after which our daughter had to eat her soft serve ice cream on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. A separate cheese soufflé or croquette could not be ordered separately either. It was possible, however, in combination with an extra plate of fries. Now, we are not very difficult customers, nor are we stingy when it comes to a tip or a more luxurious meal. But staff who prefer to act like Germans rather than offer any service results in this review and this family staying away for a return visit. Too bad, we were looking for a good venue for our wedding reception. But if a soft ice cream or an extra croquette causes such problems, we don't see how a place like this can fulfill a wedding party with specific wishes. The food is generally good, but service is clearly not their strong point. Neither is helping to find solutions. Too bad, they won't see us back here!

A very nice location for a party or dinner. Very good and friendly service in a very pleasant ambiance. The quality is simply very good, and there is ample parking. Clear and 5/5.

We celebrated a birthday with 35 people in the separate private room with its own outdoor terrace. The service and the food were top-notch. We were also incredibly lucky that the weather was beautiful, allowing us to sit outside on the terrace all evening. Everyone had a wonderful time. Thanks!

Great spicy chicken sandwich, very steeply priced too.

I found the menu rather limited, but could make a choice that seemed interesting. The service was very slow but when we saw others receiving their food when they ordered after us, we inquired. They forgot the main meal of our order. We wanted to leave but they insisted we stay seeing that, after more than an hour from ordering, the food was now in the pan. We got some defensiveness from what seemed to be a manager, saying they’re just people, a terse apology, and then he made no effort to appease our annoyance. I would have liked an offer of drinks or dessert on the house or a discount on the bill. We ordered 3 bottles of carbonated water because of the wait and it was a hot day - €6.50 for 500ml. The gall! I’ve been there a few times before because of the nice location. It was always mediocre but today was the last time. I don’t recommend this place,

A great place right by the water

It is best to make a reservation for lunch here. You can eat outside, inside, or in the conservatory. Fast service.

My sons were scammed at the snack bar. They had to pay double. Unfortunately, they only told us when we got home. It's only a few euros. But I find it very worrying that they are scamming small children.

We sat here with the whole family (12 people) to celebrate our mom & dad / grandpa & grandma's 65th wedding anniversary. Very good and fast service; even though almost everyone had ordered a different dish, everything was served practically at the same time! My compliments! There was also a nice surprise for the bridal couple (+ everyone celebrating their birthdays in the restaurant). Moreover, it is a cozy place to sit.

Had lunch with 6 elderly people; the food was good. We asked for a pitcher of water, as it was very hot. We received one small bottle of spring water containing half a liter. We ordered another bottle, in addition to our drinks. Later we saw that we paid 13 euros for 1 liter of water. They don't have a larger bottle. Quite expensive, and a pitcher of tap water next time?

We wanted to end what had been a super fun day with a group of friends. This was fine until the dad of our 3-year-old granddaughter bought an ice cream for her, with which she proudly sat down on the chair. That’s when the trouble started; she was politely asked if she would eat the ice cream outside the gate because it didn't come from the tent but from their snack section!!! We spent well over 300 euros throughout the day, but for a 3-euro ice cream, they put a 3-year-old child in front of the gate. I can think of hundreds of ways they could have handled this differently. It certainly wasn't the staff's fault; they were following instructions. The owner didn't even have the guts to engage in a conversation but sent his mother outside. A shame, and this restaurant is definitely not recommended.

It is a nice spot, though. A view over the water and the beach. It wasn't crowded; there were plenty of free spots. However, the prices are high. We drank an alcohol-free beer that was 200 percent more expensive than in the shop. We also had a cocktail for 13 euros, for which we asked for a glass of tap water; after all, it was over 30 degrees, so you need to stay well hydrated. However, the answer was that we wouldn't get one because tap water wasn't being served. Completely ridiculous! So hot and such prices, and then not even offering a glass of water?! If you're that stingy as an operator, you can just figure it out yourself. Definitely the last time!

Nice location. The food is good, but nothing special. They get 3 stars because I don't think the price-quality ratio is entirely balanced. Dishes are generally more expensive than elsewhere. An ice cream with some strawberries for dessert for 14 euros makes the bill even higher, as do the drinks. What I find worst is that you are asked if you want mayonnaise with your fries. You then get a small tube of Zaanse mayonnaise. It costs €1.50. That feels clumsy. Otherwise, the service is fine. P.P. You quickly end up at 65 euros per person for a starter, 2 drinks, and a main course.

Lovely spot; I come here regularly for a stopover when the youngest is at scouting across the street, during an evening walk, or just while out for a bike ride. Sometimes for lunch, if we can find the time. Always cheerful service, delicious food. The American Cookie is highly recommended; for dessert and lunch, I prefer ordering the carpaccio roll, but actually, everything is tasty.

Strange sandwich: roast beef with Parmesan and arugula was fine, but fried mushrooms and fried onions were draped over it... That's not a combination. Don't overdo it... Otherwise, friendly service.

I was at Restaurant Aanzicht today and, to be honest, I am quite disappointed! My 6-year-old daughter urgently needed to use the toilet. After use, a charge of €1 was suddenly requested, without this being clearly indicated anywhere. I don't have a problem with charging for toilet use in itself, but I find €1 for a child to be on the high side, especially without clear communication beforehand. What makes it truly unacceptable is the condition of the toilet: it was dirty and there was no toilet paper available. In that case, paying €1 really doesn't feel justified. If you charge for toilet use, at the very least ensure clean, well-maintained facilities and be clear with your guests. This was simply not right!

It is busy and parking is difficult when the petting zoo 't Geertje is also open in the spring. It is a bit noisy inside, but the staff is very friendly.

Friendly staff, the fried snacks arrived before the drinks. For the Sex on the Beach at €13.50 you should be able to expect something, I would think, but this was a huge disappointment. Otherwise, a good atmosphere.

We were with a group in the city center, but unfortunately, the sun disappears quickly there... many people know the AA-zicht but rarely visit. Nevertheless, we decided to go, and that was the best choice! Beautifully situated restaurant with a lovely terrace and sun until the very last minute! We were served by two gentlemen and one young lady. Super service and a pleasant atmosphere. The food? Tastier than all the restaurants in the city center. You can really eat well here for a nice price. I would go back just for the staff. I hope this restaurant makes a comeback among the people of Zoetermeer. I will be coming here more often from now on!

Today I had a very bad experience at AA-Zicht. An elderly disabled man was spoken to rudely by a waiter. The man had severe mobility issues and used a balance bike. However, the waiter felt this was not allowed. "Rules are rules, sir, no bicycles on the terrace." When the elderly man protested, he was unceremoniously sent out of the establishment without service. The waiter could not bring himself to understand the disabled man and welcome him hospitably.

Today the weather was wonderful for the AAzicht terrace. We enjoyed a salmon sandwich and a salmon salad. Shortly beforehand, we had taken an aerial photo of this lovely pavilion. We'll be back!

This place is amazing, they've always been so kind; months ago I had a problem with my bike, I needed air in my tire 🛞 and they helped me… 😬 Summer or winter, the place is fantastic, it never loses its charm. I've had lunch here and it's always delicious, and the best part is the breathtaking view 🤗

We ordered a drink and weren't asked if we wanted anything to eat. We then waited for over an hour before finally getting up and leaving. Within that hour, no one had come to our table, and the staff were mostly just hanging around the bar. It was also difficult to make contact with the staff.

October 2, 2025: What a great location this restaurant is! Excellent service. A stunning view and delicious food at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, due to poor weather, the tables on the outside terrace were inaccessible. We initially sat outside. Around 5 p.m., it started to get noticeably colder, so we ate inside. A delicious tenderloin skewer with pepper sauce. Absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.

I can't comment on the food, as we were sitting in the lovely sunshine by the window. We didn't order any food, just two cappuccinos and one coffee. There were three of us. I was delighted because they came in a giraffe cup and saucer. I'm a giraffe fan and was wearing a giraffe t-shirt. We bought two. My companion gave them to me for my birthday. The restaurant gave me clean ones. Thank you so much. So sweet. We'll definitely be back.

I was invited to a friends' wedding anniversary party on August 16, 2025. A separate room. Coffee/delicious pastries, drinks, soup, buffet, dessert buffet, and coffee. Everything was perfectly taken care of. The buffets were truly delicious and catered to everyone's taste. Very friendly, impeccable service. Excellent!

Next to the beach at AA Plas, there are two terraces: one open along the water and one behind a glass wall, and excellent indoor seating. Very friendly and fast service at this family-run business. See you next time!

Beautiful view. I ordered an espresso... It was a half-sip of watery, lukewarm black coffee. Yuck. Maybe I was just unlucky, but this was my experience.

Ze sluiten om 21.30 uur. Om 21.00 uur werd aangekondigd dat we de laatste bestelling op konden geven. Wij wilden hier geen gebruik van maken en rustig ons drankje opdrinken. We moesten wel meteen afrekenen omdat ze de kassa wilden sluiten. Dit kwam op ons uitermate ongastvrije over en we konden daardoor niet meer van ons drankje genieten.

Could use an upgrade. Old-fashioned chairs. Outside toilet, often locked. Inaccessible for outside guests. Only if you order something at the table. They have a beautiful view, so that makes up for a lot.

The terrace by the lake is very nice. The food was fine, but very expensive. For example €8 for a sandwich with 2 spreads and €10 for ice cream. And one star less because the toilet was very dirty. It smelled very much of urine and everywhere splashes from men who used the toilet instead of a urinal.

Great food, lovely in the sun. Only downside is the smoking crowd on the terrace that is filled with families with children.

Fantastic family restaurant on the Noord Aa! What a great place to go for a meal with the family! Located right on the beach of Noord Aa in Zoetermeer, this restaurant is highly recommended — especially for families with children. The view over the water is beautiful and immediately creates a relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed delicious cold drinks on the terrace in the sun. The carpaccio and karaage as a starter were perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. Afterwards we enjoyed a delicious Surf & Turf, steak, salmon and other dishes — everything was excellently prepared and tasted great! The service was friendly, attentive and very helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. In short: a nice, child-friendly place with delicious food, good service and a fantastic view. We will definitely be back!

Food a 10! But when a cup of tea spilled over me (my fault) but that shouldn't matter. I got a cold tea towel from the waitress and no further question if everything was okay or something. No she said would you like something to drink. To which I said; yes my tea was still full so a new one would be nice. We ate and drank there for more than 100 euros, the tea I got because mine spilled over is also on the bill. I think that's a shame for a little water. I almost burned my legs and that is not looked at but the bill is. Too bad! The male service was very friendly.

I saw in some reviews that they were very negative so I was very curious. When I was there, I noticed that it was literally next to the beach so the surroundings were lovely. The view was beautiful and the sun was shining so we could sit on the terrace. We ordered the stir-fried vegetables and satay dish. I thought the price was quite high but once I started eating I thought it was worth it. The satay was deliciously tender and the peanut sauce was also tasty. You also got a portion of fries with cute little mayonnaise. The stir-fried vegetables with chicken thigh also turned out to be very nice. The service was very nice and also had a chat. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy and looked nice. Only the toilet could smell a bit fresher, but definitely recommended!

It is worth going for the view.
