Restaurant Aan de Kade in Wijk 09 Huizermaat Noord

On Saturday, July 8, 2023, a friend and I wanted to have a drink at this restaurant. When we arrived, there were two couples by the water, and another table or two occupied in the restaurant itself. We noticed that, even though it wasn't busy, we weren't being served. We sat there for a while, when a young woman came by and asked the other couples who had already been served if they wanted another drink. (She did this several times.) She passed us by again. When she came back, I asked if we were still being served. She said she'd call her colleague. She walked in, and they pointed at us, but they refused to serve us. Then someone from the restaurant came out, who probably worked there, glared at us, and walked on. Then two other groups arrived and were served immediately. We were the only people of color there at the time. Everyone who came after us was served, except us. Then it became clear we wouldn't be served. The couple sitting behind us looked in disbelief that we hadn't been served. We decided to leave anyway. They looked at us as we walked away. You don't know what that feels like until you experience it yourself. You feel angry, sad, and like you shouldn't be there. A beautiful and spacious restaurant serving good food. The service is friendly and attentive.

Saturday, September 27th - the food was fine, the staff was friendly. However, the final bill was completely wrong. We were charged more than we were promised. It was stated that all dishes would come with fries, but we still had to pay. Worthless.

A neat restaurant in a nice location. When we arrived, it was very quiet, and we were helped immediately by a friendly waitress. The atmosphere was mediocre; the plants on the table were wilted, and we entered through a standing table covered in salt and pepper. My pork tenderloin satay dish was mediocre; the meat was dry and tough. The other guests had a chicken burger, which was very tasty, and a cheese-ginger pancake, which was also delicious. Overpriced for what you get.

Quality and service are declining, long waits, many items sold out, AND you have to go inside to pay! What nonsense is that!

We've been coming here since it opened and even before. Unfortunately, things have generally declined in recent years. Quantity, menu selection, and service. The staff remains friendly and helpful. The owner has become less friendly, though. She's curt and impersonal with the staff. She should be more of a hostess and less of a boss. Still, we keep coming back. For a glass of wine and a snack.

Great service and delicious food for a great price!!

We come regularly; we're practically part of the furniture. We don't recognize ourselves in the negative reviews. Always a delicious lunch or drink. Fried eggs on bread, which are so simple, even taste like a treat here.

This is a very good restaurant in Huizen, I keep coming back weekly, the service works perfectly, always busy with the wishes of a customer, the menu flexible you can also order off the chart and for example take other ice cream flavors, the goat cheese salad is super tasty and everything is very hygienic and well maintained, one point could be the cleaning of the toilets, besides that this is a very warm and well-run restaurant with heart for the business.

Aan de Kade is a great place to eat, with a clear menu and really tasty dishes. The desserts are highly recommended! Children have also been considered: there is plenty of choice on the menu, nice pancakes with presents and a play area. The location on the beach makes it complete. Ideal for a relaxed lunch or dinner with the whole family.

Not a good experience. Nice location at the Gooimeer in Huizen. The restaurant is open until 2130 and the kitchen is open until 2030 and when we arrive at 1930 they look at us with difficulty when we ask if we can still eat something with 2 people. Then they ask what we want to drink and when they ask if they have wheat beer with lemon the waitress mentions half the beer menu and says that everything is wheat beer, without mentioning a single white beer. So we just ordered 2 beers. In the end we get pils with lemon. We sent that back with the comment that we would rather have beer without lemon. Then we get Weizener from Hertog Jan with lemon. As for the drinks we just gave up because the staff clearly has no idea what they are doing. Then we both ordered satay of the hare (according to the menu at least...). This is served without cutlery, but with the question if we need anything else. The satay is far from fresh and bone dry. Also not a great score for the food. And to top it all off, the staff then comes to ask if the plates can be removed while we are still eating. This is at 2030 and the restaurant is still open for at least another hour. When asked if she is in a hurry, the answer is: "No, I'm not." No pardon or apology is possible. Conclusion: Bad service that has no idea what they are talking about and is not paying attention. That is okay, but just say that you will ask if you do not know. Perhaps it would be useful to inform the staff about what is on the menu and what it is. The quality of the food is poor. The Satay "from the hare" comes from the freezer and/or is not from the hare. For an amount of €24.50 you can expect fresh Satay of good quality. All in all a bill of €69.70 for 4 beers, 2 plates of Satay and lousy service. We will not go here again.

We ate pancakes here. Not bad, but not great either. Very sweet and caring service and a lot of choice.

The staff did not want to help me because I am brown. They passed me every time I wanted to order something and they helped the other customers. We were the only brown people in the restaurant. After a while I packed my things and left. Racist people, what a shame

Celebrated my mother's birthday yesterday at Aan de kade. It was super fun and the food was delicious. The children had a great time in the play area and the staff was very friendly. they did everything they could to give us a fantastic evening. Wishes that were not on the menu even came true. Like an affogato for the birthday boy/girl

Spareribs waren goed, echter veel zaken niet. We bestellen twee chardonnay krijgen twee verschillende wijnen, duidelijk verschillende kleuren. Dessert op de kaart Coupe aan de kade drie bollen met tia Maria, helaas worden er maar twee bollen geserveerd en geen Tia Maria, bij klagen wordt er los een minuscuul bolletje Malaga gebracht en een druppel Tia Maria, maar niet van harte, wee hadden twee van die desserts. Hartelijk personeel dat nog persoonlijke aandacht heeft voor de klanten. Wij komen hier vaker. De wijnen zijn hier heerlijk, je merkt dat men hier een goede smaak heeft voor wijnen. Met wat hapjes erbij is het feest compleet. Zo'n goede service vind je tegenwoordig nergens meer. Op zoek naar een leuke gezellige zaak met goed drinken en een diverse kaart voor elk wat wils? Beautiful location overlooking the water, Menu not extremely extensive but the most important thing they have and delicious and good. Service very good and enthusiastic Went for dinner with a group and had a nice evening.

Fast service. Overpriced. Asked for tapwater on the side and was charged a complete bottle of chaudefontaine. Chicken burger was decent, fish was good, even though they forgot the fries. pancakes good too. The cheesecake was the worst I have tried in my life. Not worth the money, unless you can enjoy the small beach in front. Not much for vegetarians. Very friendly staff.

Bad staff! Very racist! Doesn't serve black people, makes us sit for hours and they walk past us every time as if we weren't there. As soon as other people come, they are helped immediately and we with a tan are skipped over several times.

Nice place for a delicious lunch. Friendly service and a nice terrace with a beautiful view of the Gooimeer. We also regularly enjoy a nice drink and a snack. Sangria is delicious!

Satay pork tenderloin, even the peanut sauce tasteless. I also let my girlfriend taste it and said to me, you're right, it has no taste I tried what I was missing, I think no herbs and no salt, bland. So this restaurant has been written off for us

Was a guest, but nice location. Food and High Tea very extensive, very savory. Delicious various snacks. But the birthday boy was sitting near the window...so taking pictures was difficult, and no room to stand on the other side. But the birthday boy enjoyed it immensely! Definitely going back with a friend for a High Tea, a big hobby of mine!

Ordered a bottle of beer twice. Never got it! It was on the bill. A minus!

We celebrated our wedding in the restaurant on the quay Highly recommended, the party is organized from top to bottom. The food was perfect, great service, and the location on the beach is great. A 10 in all points

When the weather was bad we had lunch there, it was nice to sit on the edge of the terrace inside. No menu outside, but the waiter gave us one immediately when we asked. He also spoke German quite well. Food was tasty with a limited selection, drink bottles were tiny, coffee was good, prices as usual, card payment only at the counter, small, clean toilets. Parking situation was tense, which was only possible due to the lack of traffic due to the weather. Recommended.

Friendly welcome and service. But pancakes ('warm cherries with whipped cream' and 'chocolate spread') were paper thin and served almost cold and plain. We were given small bowls with some (small) cherries and a little whipped cream and a minimal tub of chocolate spread. Was very disappointing. 'Karig Aan de Kade'. Just in time we discovered 2 ice cream sundaes on the receipt that we had not ordered. Otherwise we would have been completely screwed up. We had reserved a quiet spot on the terrace, but the music was way too loud, very disturbing.

A restaurant right by the sea. The food is very tasty, the prices are absolutely right for the location of the restaurant. The service is very friendly and could even speak German.

Here the staff still knows what it means to be hospitable. Friendly staff and a clearly concise menu with simple dishes and reasonable prices. Beautiful terrace outside and extended to the beach when the weather is nice. We like coming here.

What a wonderfully nice tent. The food was excellent.

What a terrible tent. They really can't do anything here. Fries do not come at the same time as your main course, if we had not said anything we would not have received anything. Unfortunately, we had already finished the main course when it arrived. No excuses or anything and the drinks are also forgotten. This is the 2nd time we have had this experience. Will never come here again, what a travesty. Spend your money better than here.

Very sweet hostess who makes you feel very welcome. An additional advantage is the nice location, nice children's corner that is somewhat secluded. And the food was very tasty, plenty of choice.

I would like to write something positive here. But after eating here twice (summer 2023, autumn 2023), I have now become ill twice due to mild food poisoning. Cross-contamination and labeling products by expiration date are not very difficult concepts; I wasn't even trained as a chef and I remember that. Unfortunately, the kitchen here apparently doesn't know that and that's a shame. Perhaps perfect service could change this, but the entire restaurant is served by one person. Nice place to have a drink. Don't order anything to eat because apparently there was no budget to hire a good chef. Nice and cheap too, for sure. But what you get, for example satay, is very small and, as mentioned, also spoiled or contaminated in my experience.

The restaurant was not fully occupied, the food and service were excellent. Both the salmon and the spareribs.

I didn't think the sandwiches were special. Goat cheese sandwich with walnuts. You had to look for it. 4 small pieces. We often have lunch in restaurants, but this was the least. We wouldn't have lunch there again. Very sorry.

I can't say anything about the food and drinks because if you are not white, you can sit there for hours and not be helped. They just refused to serve without any reason. An employee was asked if something could be ordered and he said “I'll get someone else”. She then pointed to us and her colleagues also shook their heads no. So nothing had happened before this. We just sat on a terrace where it was not busy. Not recommended.

Knusse plek aan de kade, uitzicht op het Gooimeer. Vriendelijke bediening, we hadden een jarige en die werd toegezongen middels een lang zal ze leven uit de speakers en vuurwerk

Leuke kaart, betaalbare prijzen. Woj hebben hartige pannnkoek besteld, prima pannenkoek, en lekker ijs toe. Leuke bediening, alles prima geregeld.

Een leuke en gezellige restaurant, goede bediening en eten was goed.

Jammer dat we volledig vergeten werden. Onze bestelling niet doorgegeven aan de keuken? Bij navraag word het afgedaan als "misverstand in de keuken" 👎

Heerlijke late lunch gegeten! Leuke plek, leuk uitzicht, zonnetje erbij, leuke bediening door gezellige meiden die ook in waren voor een praatje. Kortom: prima.

Vanwege goed ervaring eerder hier weer gegeten. De bediening is uiterst vriendelijk, daar is niets mis mee. Ik kreeg wel de indruk dat ook hier het kostentechnisch moeilijker is geworden en er toch wat op kwaliteit ingeboet is. Het hoofdgerecht was smakelijk, maar een bananasplit hoort vers bereid te worden en niet uit de vriezer gehaald te worden. Op de ijscoupe met caramel zaten welgeteld 5 stukjes caramel. Ik kreeg ook niet het vermoeden dat er iets met mijn melding gedaan werd/wordt. Jammer, want het is wel een leuke stek.

Geen brood bij de soep meer? Maar wel broodjes met smeersel kunnen bestellen. En dan gewoon sneetjes brood krijgen. Jammer! Voor de rest, was het top!

Ich saß draußen in der Sonne mit schönem Blick, hatte super Spare Ribs und die Toiletten waren auch sauber. Der Service hat nur etwas lange gebraucht deshalb leichte Abzüge in der B-Note. Alles in allem Top gerne wieder👍

Als zwart persoon ben je daar niet welkom. Op zaterdag 8 juli 2023 wilde een vriendin iets drinken. Wij waren de enigste donkere personen die op dat moment daar waren. Iedereen die na ons kwam werd geserveerd, op ons na. Toen was het duidelijk dat wij niet geserveerd zouden worden, het koppel die achter ons zat keek vol ongeloof aan dat wij niet geserveerd werden. Toen hebben wij besloten om toch maar te gaan.

Heerlijk gegeten bij geweldige familie restaurant

Heerlijke pannenkoeken en hamburger gegeten. Vriendelijke bediening en de sfeer is oké.

Leuk restaurant aan de mooie kade in huizen .het eten was lekker . De eigenaarrese was erg vriendelijk Allen haar jonge personeels leden konden miss nog stukje horeca leren

Heerlijk buiten kunnen lunchen met ons gezelschap. Leuk plekje. Het eten was goed. Was voor ons mooi centraal gelegen. Parkeren is wel een uitdaging.

Het eten was heerlijk. Wel weinig groente en daardoor in verhouding wel prijzig. Nagerecht was echt genieten!

Snelle en gezellige bediening. Champignons op toast is een aanrader...mooi uitzicht en een groot terras aan een strand...

Geen beoordeling over het eten. Heel eenvoudig omdat we er (nog) niet gegeten hebben.

Naar aanleiding van de verjaardag van de Kids wilde wij gaan uiteten. Wij hebben toen gekozen voor het restaurant aan de Kade. De ingang is ruim waar je ook gelijk je jas kunt ophangen. Bij binnenkomst kregen wij de tafel toegewezen die voor ons was gereserveerd. Na wat te drinken hebben gekregen van een uiterst vriendelijk bediende gaven wij door wat wij wilde eten. Ik had als gekozen voor het gerookte visbordje (zalm, Hollandse garnalen en tonijnsalade). Als hoofdgerecht was mijn keuze gevallen op de Pasta met truffelroomsaus. De gerechten waren goed van smaak. Wat wij erg prettig vonden is dat je kan zien hoe er in de keuken gewerkt wordt. De bediening was top en vlot (ondanks er iemand ingewerkt werd) en de gerechten ook.

Snel en goed geholpen met lekker eten

Net heerlijke warme chocolademelk met slagroom gedronken tijdens mijn wandeling. Top zaak.

Ongelofelijk op het buiten terras net over de weg mag je alleen wat drinken maar niet eten! Mensen wilde daar graag zitten worden weg gestuurd. Mensen willen in de schaduw gaan zitten dus verplaatsen i.v.m. een kind die niet in de zon kan zitten wordt er gezegd: nee verplaatsen kan niet want dan blijven we de hele tijd verplaatsen.. ongelofelijk zo ga je niet met gasten om! Tevens moeten de gasten zelf hun lunch kaart halen anders wordt je vergeten! Nooit meer hier!! Eten stelt ook niks voor!

Om 12.00 uur langs gelopen of we konden reserveren. Dit was niet nodig want er was zeker plek. Toen we om 13.00 uur kwamen en een plekje in de schaduw wilde was er geen plek. Slechte reactie ook van het bedienend personeel hierop. Aan de straat kan je ook alleen wat drinken dus slechte service! Uiteindelijk bij de buren gaan eten waar wel plek was 8n de schaduw en de service wel netjes was!

Een zeer goed. 10+ Heerlijk spareribs lekker mals. Personeel was erg klant vriendelijke. En een mooie open keuken. Echt een aanrader
