The food was delicious; you were taken on a culinary journey with wine and background information from the chef. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful culinary evening at Aroma Fine Dining. Every dish was a true masterpiece, a true explosion of flavors. We especially loved Pascale's signature dish (the dessert). At first, you think you're eating a Caprese salad, but then it suddenly becomes sweet. We chose the tasting menu, a six-course menu with a pairing of wines. The pairing was truly excellent. The flavors of the wine were truly enhanced, or sometimes even completely altered, by the food. The sommelier also explained the wines well. The ambiance is very pleasant, peaceful, with a homely feel, and the chairs are very comfortable, perfect for sitting for four or five hours. We'll definitely be back when the menu changes again.

Six of us dined at Aroma for my birthday and enjoyed a tasting menu. The dishes were beautiful to look at, and the flavors were just as delicious. I would have loved to take a box of the truffle amuse-bouche home with me. The pasta dishes, the zucchini dishes, and the strawberry and basil ice cream dessert were highlights. The wines were very diverse but perfectly complemented the dishes. The service, including Nancy, was very friendly and approachable. The chef even came out to explain some of the dishes and radiated a genuine passion for his work. Definitely recommended if you have something special to celebrate.

A wonderful culinary experience with an eye for detail! Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted and my coat was taken. I was quickly offered a glass of water. The 5-course menu was clearly explained, with personal attention paid to my dietary requirements (including no chocolate). The 5-course menu was generally very good. The dishes were beautifully presented and full of surprising flavors and textures. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the dessert amuse-bouche with honey, chamomile, and salted caramel – truly sublime! The main course was delicious, although I would have preferred a bit more meat. The dessert wasn't exactly my favorite. Because they were considerate of my aversion to chocolate, I was offered a coffee dessert as an alternative. Unfortunately, I'm not a big fan of coffee myself 😅. It was beautifully presented and well-prepared, so this was certainly not the restaurant's fault. The friandises were also creative and well-prepared, but they weren't entirely to my taste. I just don't have much of a sweet tooth. The service was attentive, and my water glass was constantly refilled without me having to ask. All in all, a successful evening. I'll definitely be back!

Brilliant and Special! I haven't been so surprised in a long time! Why this restaurant doesn't have a star yet is completely unclear to me. I have eaten at quite a few star restaurants. In the past few months 2x in France... Aroma in Vaassen was *really* better. The atmosphere, service, but especially the food..... Fantastic! The dish with prawns... Really haven't had such a special dish in a long time.

Not your average Italian restaurant, but fine dining where special ingredients and preparation methods are used.

We had a very successful evening with the five of us. The kitchen was very good. The dish with lamb fillet was just a bit too red for me. Everything else was perfectly prepared as far as I was concerned. The service was very attentive and knew a lot to tell about the dishes and the accompanying wines. We will definitely come here more often!

What a fantastic experience. Everything that is presented looks beautiful and the flavour combinations are sublime. The service is correct and fortunately not too formal. Knowledge of the dishes and matching wine is more than fine. Those five stars are more than deserved.

Aroma is a top restaurant with good service and kitchen. The reception was hospitable and friendly. The quality of the food, both in terms of appearance and taste is excellent. For our lunch there was a choice between a 5/6 course menu or at least 3 courses a la carte. Because I am a small eater that was a downside. A starter and main course for lunch was not possible. We ordered the five-course menu. It was preceded by beautiful amuses. During the meal the chef himself served the cod cooked in oil. Perfectly glazed and very nice in terms of taste. The photos correspond with the menu. It was a beautiful and unexpected experience during a bike ride through the Veluwe forests.

Culinary fireworks at Aroma! What a discovery, a gem in Vaassen! As soon as you enter you will be warmly welcomed by a team that understands hospitality - knowledgeable, committed with humor. Chef Pasquale knows how to pamper his guests: every dish was a pleasant surprise full of flavor explosions, a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. And then those wines… exciting choices that blend perfectly with the dishes. The asparagus dish was an Italian ode to the season – delicious! The interior is perhaps a bit on the sleek side – light and clean. Not quite in line with the warmth and experience of the food, but on the other hand: you can clearly see what is on your plate. In short: Aroma is highly recommended. Chef Pasquale and his team really make it something special. We will definitely go back!

Enjoyed Pasquale Carfora's cooking for the first time last night. This can rightly be called Italian Fine Dining. A beautiful villa with a beautiful interior creates a very warm atmosphere. Very pleasant and friendly brigade. Italian passion from the kitchen to the plate. Everyone contributes to this and gives the guest a wonderful feeling of experience. Very high level in terms of flavours. Everything in balance. But with absolutely authentic Italian soil. The product remains central, as if “nonna” herself were in the kitchen. Not afraid of flavor explosions, but also the acids are completely together. And that transcends the better Italian restaurants and raises it to the level of Fine Dining. In any case, they get the first star from us. Bravo!

Had a great experience again! We had the truffle menu (special theme days) and it was, in a word, amazing. All dishes are beautifully balanced and well thought out. The dessert was a bit too savory for my partner in combination with the sweet, but everything was taken care of down to the last detail. Wonderful treat and worth the detour!

Delicious food. All dishes are well coordinated, flavors are well dosed per dish, pleasant, enthusiastic service. The chef who comes to serve the food at the table, if you want to change from French cuisine, this is definitely recommended and you will not regret it, we will definitely come back.

Had dinner tonight at aroma.. what a beautiful place. Chairs were lovely (that is not the case with every restaurant), there was space between the tables and it looked beautiful inside! The food was delicious! Enjoyed all the surprising dishes. Good explanation of what everything was. Sympathetic staff and chef. I will definitely come back here again. On to the 1st star!

Had lunch and dinner at Aroma several times. Always surprised by delicious dishes, perfect flavor combinations and beautiful wines. Chef Pasquale creates authentic Italian dishes from Italian and local dishes. Maître sommelier is a very good host with a lot of knowledge of wines. Tip: six courses on Sunday afternoon.

We had something to celebrate and Aroma was great for that. What beautiful composed dishes. Fine flavor combinations where Italy kept coming into play. With the ordered cookbook that had just been published under our arm, we left to prepare a dish ourselves very soon 🥘

Restaurant Aroma in Vaassen is actually Italian Fine Dining. Read Hiske Versprille's favorable review in the Volkskrant from June 2022 ("We find several one-bit holidays to Italy in the chic loving Aroma"). This still applies to Chef Pasquale Carfora and his team. This restaurant is worth the trip and deserves a star! Nice combination: book an overnight stay at the beautifully located, atmospheric B&B Mollenvlied, 10 minutes by bike to the restaurant.

Delicious food, good service and the chef and sommelier have put together a delicious combination of dishes and wines! Definitely recommended! Unfortunately I only took a photo of the dessert, but the other courses also looked delicious and beautifully presented!

Although we certainly enjoyed the varied dishes (6 courses), our final assessment is 'average positive'. The way in which the dietary wishes (requirements) were dealt with is not OK. Due to our attentiveness, 'worse' has been prevented. This is simply not allowed. In addition, it seemed that 'famous guests' get all the attention. So a nice experience, but not anymore for a while.

De 4.8 score van dit restaurant zijn reviews van 3 michelin sterren restaurant de Leest, niet van Restaurant Aroma. Het eten en de service waren zwaar beneden peil. Ik zou dit aan niemand aanbevelen. Enige pluspunt was de wijn, verder flauw eten en onaardige bediening.

Heerlijke gerechten en wijnen, geserveerd door bijzonder vriendelijke en vakkundige medewerkers. Wij hebben genoten.

Een heel grote rekening voor eten vlak van smaak. Eigenlijk blijft niets je echt bij. Compliment sommelier. De wijnen passen perfect.

We vonden het tegenvallen, van dit (prijs) niveau restaurants zijn we meer gewend. Het eten was op zich prima, maar niet consistent van hoog niveau, en af en toe gewoon niet smaakvol. Voor de wijnen hetzelfde, niet uitgesproken bijzonder, 1 of 2 uitschieters uitgezonderd. Idem voor de bediening, prima, maar niet dat gevoel dat je als gast even de koning mag voelen ;). Wanneer we 150+ euro per persoon uitgeven zijn we normaal gewend een top avond te hebben, die hebben we hier qua dineren niet gehad helaas. Het wauw gevoel ontbrak voor ons.

Deze recensie gaat over restaurant De Leest dat voorheen op deze plek was gevestigd, en dus niet over Aroma. —- Het vakmanschap bij de bereiding, de presentatie op de borden en de kwaliteit van de producten zijn boven elke twijfel verheven. En sommige van de gerechtjes - de Waldorfsalade-amuse in het bijzonder - zijn tranen-in-de-ogen lekker. Wie had gedacht dat je van komkommer zo iets fantastisch kon maken? De desserts zijn niet minder dan goddelijk. Gezien de drie sterren naast de deur is het prijsniveau ook schappelijk te noemen. Het halve-glazen wijnarrangement voor 7 gangen is slechts 37,50 en dat is uitstekend. En toch...ik had er íets meer van verwacht. De opeenvolging van gerechten kan wellicht wat verrassender. Nu is het na de amuses vis-zuurtje, vis-zuurtje, vis-zuurtje en dán pas iets met wat aardsere tonen. Voor half oktober is dat wellicht nog wat te zomers. En je mist een beetje het spektakel, het out-of-the-box denken met bijzondere ingrediënten of bereidingen. Dat maakt het geheel een beetje braaf. Voor de meeste gasten zal hier eten een bijzondere gelegenheid zijn, dus dan gaat het toch ook om de ervaring. Het personeel opereerde vrijwel foutloos maar ook wat afstandelijk. En dan helaas nog twee fouten op de rekening: ten onrechte volledige wijnarrangementen aangeslagen maar ook de vier menu's vergeten, wat ik zelf moest opmerken. Was ik bijna voor 300 euro klaar geweest, maar het mag eigenlijk niet gebeuren. Van Google mag ik geen halve sterren geven, en 4 is te weinig dus daarom toch 5.

Ongelofelijk lekker gegeten en super bediening. Restaurant is netjes en heeft lekkere stoelen, Sfeer en stijl van de aankleding/inrichting kan iets leuker maar doet niks af aan de ervaring.

Het menu bestond uit creatieve gerechten met veel smaak. Met recht fine dining bij de Italiaan ;-) Wat ook fijn is dat er geen irritante achtergrondmuziek is. Bediening is dik in orde en chef Pasquale vertelt enthousiast over de gerechten die hij zelf aan tafel komt serveren. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!

Fantastisch restaurant. Elk gerecht is een smaaksensatie en pure foodart. Bediening is perfect, geen overdreven obers die constant aan je tafel staan. Wel deskundig op het gebied van wijnkennis. Kortom echte aanrader voor een culinair avondje uit.

Living in the NL, it is possible to find several Italian restaurants but Aroma is something special. It is an experience, I fully felt having real Italian courses made with an extraordinary selection of ingredients, combined with passion highlighting their taste. The environment is elegant, the service is kind and professional. I fully recommend Aroma for all kind of occasion, from a business lunch to a romantic dinner.

Italian fine dining? Jazeker. In het voormalige pand van De Leest in Vaassen kun je nu op niveau Italiaans dineren. Pasquale (de chef) brengt de mooiste verfijnde gerechten op tafel. Allemaal met een herinnering aan zijn jeugd in Italië maar dan wel met een twist. De wijnen zijn zonder uitzondering Italiaans en van een uitstekend niveau. De sommelier weet waar hij het over heeft en de wijnen vullen de gerechten perfect aan. Glaswerk van Zalto maakt het af. Het menu (5 of 6 gangen) is uiteraard naar wens aan te passen (geen vlees bijvoorbeeld).

Mooie zaak, keurige en vriendelijke medewerkers, heel prettig ontvangst. Het is duidelijk dat alles er op gericht is om een ster te bemachtigen van Michelin. Ondanks dat we heerlijk gegeten hebben (en daar heel goed voor hebben betaald) ontbreekt het ster waardige verschil tussen goed en uitstekend, het ‘wow’ gevoel ontbreekt.

Italian Fine Dining. En dat is het. Wat een prachtige culinaire gerechten. Bijna te mooi om op te eten, maar als je er dan aan begint is de smaak een ware sensatie. Wij namen het zesgangenmenu met bijpassende wijnen. Dit in combinatie met de keurige bediening en de fijne locatie. Dit alles genereert een onvergetelijke avond. Een absolute aanrader!

2 weken geleden hier heerlijk gegeten! Mooie gerechten met verrassende smaken..... Italiaans met een Veluwse touch! Wijnarrangement erbij wat goed combineerde. De olijfolie die werd geserveerd bij een gerecht was zacht met bijzondere nasmaak. In 1 woord; voortreffelijk en dat in ons eigen dorp Vaassen!! Een totale eetbelevenis die voor herhaling vatbaar is.

Gezellige sfeer en erg lekker Italiaans eten.

Eerste kerstdag hebben wij hier een fantastisch kerstmenu gehad. Alle gerechten zijn van hoog culinair niveau, bijzondere smaken en prachtige kunstwerkjes. Alles gemaakt met liefde en passie. De ragù van de moeder van de chef was zalig, de familie mag trots zijn. En wij van de Veluwe mogen blij zijn dat we een stukje authentiek Italië vlakbij hebben. De volgende keer regel ik vervoer zodat ik ook kan genieten van de bijzondere wijnen.
