Had a wonderful meal here for the second time in a few months. The service was good, the atmosphere excellent, and the food delicious. The salads were excellent (fresh and crisp), the croquettes with bread, fries, and the "Paleisburger" were delicious.

The service was really fast and they were really friendly. However, the food is not the best. I had the burger and fries and the burger was as dry as it gets and the fries were of a bad quality. The frozen mango smoothie was really nice

You don't have to go there for the food... it's clear the royal chef no longer works here, haha. The fries were so overcooked I could have scratched my name on the table with them. And the burger was tougher than a shoe sole. Skip it!

Nice terrace. Fast service. The tomato soup was excellent. You have to wait at the entrance until you're seated. However, the staff doesn't monitor the entrance very well. Most people just walk right by, while you wait patiently, and then... That could really be improved.

Nice little cafe. We had a coffee and a veggie burger. Overall, a good place. The coffee is average. Don't expect great coffee.

Great place! We enjoyed lunch here: an omelette (uitsmijter) and a chicken salad sandwich. Both were delicious. Friendly service and a beautifully decorated space.

decided at the last minute to have a high tea with a friend. Thought this looks nice. Although it was a surprise that we also had to pay an entrance fee to get to our high tea. You will then spend a total of €106 including a parking ticket. To actually just have a high tea. I actually don't think it's possible. The high tea wasn't even that special, you didn't even get fresh tea. They were just tea bags. and then only a few snacks are actually not enough to fill your stomach. For so much money to get there, it could be a bit more extensive. furthermore the service was good and friendly.

Even though it was busy, the service was prompt and our food arrived promptly. Friendly service tasty food. Reasonable prices.

Lovely on the terrace. With a cup of coffee and cake. Convenient ordering possible via QR code. But the pastries ordered do not match the order list. That's why I finally ordered an apple pie. It wasn't great though. Sloppy, stale, dry, not fresh. Shame. Under average.

Had a high-tea here. Lovely experience! The staff was kind, the atmosphere was great and the food was amazing. Huge amount of bonus points for how they treat food allergies in this place. They made absolutely sure that those with allergies can have a relaxed eating experience without having to worry about a single thing, which is really rare these days. Thank you for the amazing time!

We had a late lunch at the balzaal. The service is professional friendly; the offer is mostly simple Burger style, but in a low quality. Does not taste fresh. So we quit going to have High Tea there, because we didn't trust the standard of this restaurant.

We had dinner here during our visit to Paleis Het Loo. Food was reasonable, but you have to order the fries separately with a hamburger. Service was very friendly.

Delicious dishes. They have very tasty Flemish fries (crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside), delicious well-seasoned fried chicken and a delicious vanilla banana muffin. Our food was served very quickly. The atmosphere in the restaurant is also cozy, luxurious and clean. We always enjoy our visits here.

Had lunch with friends. 2 people ordered the shrimp croquettes. They tasted good. I ordered the chicken salad. I have never eaten chicken salad this bad before. At first I thought they had forgotten the chicken, but it turned out to be pureed in a yellow sauce and smeared into the sandwiches with a small piece here and there recognizable as chicken. Asked the waiter if he wanted to pass it on to the chef. Ate half a sandwich. Leave the rest. Beautiful environment. I've enjoyed it.

On 7/8/23 I only had a drink. Despite the sunny weather after days of rain, the terrace was not open. What a civil servant mentality.

Had lunch after visiting the Palace and gardens. Reception excellent: did their best to have a table for four on the outside terrace. The food was very good: the salad, wraps and croquettes. The service was of a high standard, the environment was very attractive. In short, we had a very good lunch for a reasonable price

Holtkamp shrimp croquettes...fried parsley...service like in a nice restaurant, attitude doesn't say "no" and comes up with a solution, chapeau! The fries are really good, Belgians, learn something from this😉

Well, a restaurant is now a must at a top museum. This is emphatically mandatory.

Had lunch here with partner last Saturday. Both ordered a farmer's brie sandwich. After serving I discovered it had onions on it. My own mistake, normally I mention it, this time completely forgotten. It was no problem at all, just got a new sandwich without any hassle. Shoutout to the waitstaff! Unfortunately, the shiitake mushrooms that were on my sandwich apparently were not fully heated as I now suffer from shiitake dermatitis. In other words, enormous itching and a rash all over my body. :(

In restaurant De Balzaal the food is good, almost excellent. But here too, due to inadequate staff, most of whom have no catering experience, you notice that you are quickly overlooked as a guest. They have a wonderful terrace in a beautiful ambiance. Definitely worth it when visiting the palace to eat there or have high tea.

Nice environment with friendly staff and tasty food. There's nothing wrong with taking a break here after visiting the palace. But as with the entire catering industry these days...the price remains an issue...I know price increases are due to inflation, rising costs, etc., but still. Other than that, great place

Delicious food and drinks for a reasonable price. Special dishes, something for everyone. Big choice. Fast service despite the crowds. Pulled pork was slightly spicy with excellent coriander flavor. Recommended.

The manager on the floor did not have the overview. No cutlery and the table smelled like old dishcloth. If you ask for cutlery, it must be done through him, the waitress is not allowed to get it for you. So if you have to wait for him (with hot food), the food is cold. No excuse, but bear the name. Fortunately, live music was very good! Not a pleasant experience unfortunately. (Thanks to the gentleman in charge at that time)

Little atmosphere. Lots of passing controls, which are correct by the way. The lunch dishes are reasonably priced and simple with thin sourdough bread slices. If you order fish, you will receive a salad/spray with the relevant fish flavor or what passes for it.

Nice restaurant, friendly service. They just can't make a bouncer there. There should be fried eggs on a bouncer and not a double-fried egg.

There are now many fewer visitors due to the Corona situation. But luckily the restaurant is open. With plenty of space between the terrace tables. No consumption: eleven taken. But it's nice that you can eat and drink something there.

Remains a great opportunity to have a coffee or for meetings.

Nice room to have lunch if this works. The service is slow and not service-oriented. It took a very long time before we could place an order for lunch. It took even longer to deliver. After 45 minutes we canceled the entire order and went for lunch elsewhere. We weren't the only ones. Many people left the place without being able to order anything.

Took a seat here for a break and a small bite. It is clear that only staff who are in training work here. For example, people who arrive later are helped sooner. They drive through the middle of the restaurant with a cart to joke about. When we were finally allowed to order, delivery was quick again. The food was tasty too. The bill was high, but that's to be expected at such a location.

The High Tea really depends on the location. The sweet and savory snacks offered on the beautifully set table are OK but clearly not home-made. A missed opportunity for such a royal location.

Glad you're sitting. Simple card. Everything takes a very long time. From the service to the food. But it's about the result, right? Well that was a disappointment for both of us. Tasteless bite for a lot of money. We should have just stuck to a cup of coffee. Orders around us are also not going well. Quite a lot of mistakes are made. To my surprise, when I paid, I saw that it was taken care of by Albon. Well Albron... I've really come to expect better from you!
