Lovely restaurant with fireplaces, friendly staff, and something for everyone. The new menu is fantastic, especially the goulash! And super child-friendly.

Very child-friendly atmosphere, reminiscent of a ski lodge. Toilets aren't clean, and floors are covered in dust. And salt on the fries/chips for the kids.

For a Friday afternoon around 2:00 PM, with beautiful weather, it was surprisingly quiet. There was practically no one there. And why not? We had a delicious lunch for a great price. The flavors were excellent, and the ingredients on the plate were fresh.

We arrived relatively last minute to ask if we could accommodate our group. That turned out to be no problem at all. We received a warm welcome and were immediately consulted. After some discussion, a great program was ready, and everything went smoothly on the day itself. The staff was attentive and friendly, and they even arranged decorations for the two-year-olds! We were incredibly well looked after, thank you so much!

Definitely go here! It's a fantastic restaurant, especially for kids. It's easy to combine with a day at Apenheul or Julianatoren. The menu is varied, including a large children's menu and combinations. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, sometimes helping the children decide to go play, or if anything happens, they're always there. It's great that you feel more at ease. There's plenty for kids to do, including a trampoline, large blocks, real animals, a bouncy castle, and more. The food was also delicious, and we didn't have to wait long. At the end, we wanted to switch from an indoor table to one outside by the bouncy castle, which was easily arranged. In short, a great restaurant, fast service, friendly staff, and plenty to do for the little ones. And at the end, the kids can even choose a gift.

Went here for dinner with seven people, two of whom were children. It's perfectly set up for kids, with a kids' area, trampoline, bouncy castle, and a children's menu. There are also children's cups in case you forget something, and after dinner, you can pick out a gift for the kids. There's a changing table for the baby, and even diapers and a nice scent. The service was excellent, and the price wasn't too bad for seven people, €200. So definitely recommended.

We eat here at least once a year. The spareribs are highly recommended and practically fall off the bone. The pizzas were also delicious, and we finished off with a children's ice cream and a cheesecake. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially great with children! The children had a great time in the play area or outside on the trampoline. This time there was even an inflatable, but unfortunately, it got soaked inside due to the recent rain showers. All in all, we had a wonderful evening. See you next time!

Had a wonderful meal at Malkenschoten three days ago. I wanted to make another reservation for tomorrow, but the prices have gone up 20-30%. Disgraceful. We paid €29 per person for a tapas platter, now €35. Why? New menu? New prices! Such a shame.

What a great addition to Apeldoorn. We come here often. Nothing to complain about, and the children can play inside and outside.

A lot went wrong in the service. With children very nice because of the play corner and the trampoline/bouncy castle outside. Food was good, not special. You get a bit of brown pub vibes there. It is all a bit outdated.

Great if you have small children who can use the bouncy castle. Portions are not too big. A few shrimps for almost €24,-. Very small string of spareribs for over €25,- is really too expensive. Small bowl of fries for 10 people. You have to ask for more every time: fries and simple salad. Little is served. It was well prepared and tasty though.

Restaurant that is not special, but does have a children's corner. Dishes are not exceptional, but just basic at reasonable prices. The serving is fast, but the staff is still a bit young and inexperienced. On the other hand, they are very willing and helpful. Free parking, children can use trampoline, bouncy castle (not always) and the play corner inside.

Together with my wife and our 2.5 year old daughter we had a great meal. Our daughter had a great time: inside there was a nice play area and outside there was a bouncy castle. The food was good and was served quickly. Super friendly and correct staff - you don't find that everywhere! Do you want to eat well and enjoy with small children? Then this is the perfect place!

We had not been for a while, but on Easter Sunday we went for dinner again. We had a delicious meal as always and we were able to sit at our favorite table again with very friendly service and staff.

We enjoyed a delicious meal here again at Christmas. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail. The staff was friendly, cooperative and exuded a nice, relaxed atmosphere. What we really appreciated is that personal wishes were handled smoothly - nothing was too much to ask and nothing was made difficult. In short: a pleasant experience, as we have come to expect. Definitely recommended!

Deze plek is gezellig en goed met een grote groep 26 man/vrouw te doen. We werden snel bediend en het eten werd tegelijk bij ieder gebracht. Vriendelijk personeel. Voor herhaling vatbaar.

Great place for dining and meeting with friends. Gwen, the manager is polite, professional and respectful. The environment is clean and children friendly. There is even a playground outside for children and inside, there is a space for toddlers. Great to visit especially during weekends.

Went to dinner with a large group for the 65 year old! It was great, the food tasted delicious and the little ones had a great time playing! The service was great, everything was great! Thanks for the great evening.

De schnitzel was aangebrand , droog. Alle vleessoorten aan de spies waren taai , niet gaar. Niet lekker. De eigenaresse gaf zelf toe dat de schnitzel niet goed gebakken was. Als troost kregen we 1 consumptie gratis. Nee beslist geen aanrader.

Regelmatig hier geweest en telkens weer voldaan en met een tevreden gevoel naar huis. Ruime keuze uit diverse gerechten, desserts en dranken. Supervriendelijk personeel. Voor gezinnen met kinderen is speelparadijs Binky er pal achter. Ruime parkeerplaats, makkelijk te bereiken.

Today we ate at restaurant Malkenschoten for the first time in a while, highly recommended!!

We ate here as a family (parents and 2 children aged 6 and 9) during the summer holidays. We and the children had a delicious meal here. Children had a great time playing outside between meals. You eat here for a reasonable price Highly recommended.

Pizzas terribly bad. There was barely any tomato sauce and toppings on the vegetable pizza. In addition, the pizza was baked far too short. All this for 14 euros is just ridiculously bad. The satay was decent, as was the veggie burger. Some fries were way too strongly seasoned. The service was very friendly, but this is not enough to come back again.

Unfortunately totally the tourist restaurant, attracts with a bouncy castle, service was very inattentive, waited quite a long time for the food, which was then not even cooked through. The salad was completely lacking any sauce, and at a mega overpriced price! Not recommended. Unfortunately I forgot my child’s pullover. After many mails they are not able to send it to me although I would pay for it- just don’t answer!

The four of us had a delicious meal here. The dishes were delicious, very large portions. The service was very nice, very enthusiastic. We really felt like guests. We will definitely go here more often.

Very nice, child-friendly and attractive restaurant. Extremely friendly, hospitable and patient staff, who, after making a comment about a dish, also compensated us with the bill afterwards, very polite and customer-friendly. That's how we like to see it, the catering industry in the Randstad (where we live) can really learn something from it. If we are on route in the Apeldoorn area again, we will certainly keep you in mind! Daughter already asked when we will go to your restaurant again ☺️

So, the food was great and the service was also great. The only small problem is that we (there were 7 of us and we each only ordered a schnitzel) waited a whopping 1.5 hours for the food and it wasn't even full. A very nice terrace with play options for the children.

Think about sound if you want to celebrate something with your family: During high tea for my birthday mother on the terrace, it turned out that a party had moved to the terrace with a music system. All speeches and music. It was not possible to turn it down. Staff very helpful. High tea given its own shape: with soup and mini sweets: disappointing. No scones, beautiful cakes, but tasty wraps. Don't agree with a group here!

We went to the restaurant twice in a week. The food was excellent (especially the spear ribs). The service was excellent and somwas the atmosphere and the place is really kids friendly! If I'd be here another week I guess we would have been back for a third time.

Delicious food, despite staff shortages, friendly staff. That the legs were really running out from under the body. The only downside, afterwards we found out that not all the food had been delivered. No problem because the food was plentiful, but I think the staff could have done more in terms of customer service. Furthermore, this is highly recommended.

Spontaneous visit here on Friday afternoon, Immediately a hospitable welcome, and we were taken to a cozy table near one of the cozy fires, fast service and a menu with more than enough dishes, so we quickly started a delicious lunch.. We had the Lunchtime and the Malkenschoten sandwich.. well we can recommend this to everyone.. plates well filled for a reasonable price.. if we are in the area again, we will definitely join us again..👍

Went for lunch on Saturday, which was our first visit. Had a nice table next to an open fireplace. Service was fast and friendly and had an amazing lunch. Positive surprise, we will definitely come back here

Super nice family restaurant! Nice cozy atmosphere inside with children's toys. In summer you can sit outside very nicely, with a small trampoline and slide for the children. Nice tasty food and not expensive!

We were in Hotel Apeldoorn with our children aged 6, 4 and 1 and looked for a child-friendly restaurant and found this one. That was a good choice! Good food, not top quality but just good and value for money. All plates were empty, that says enough. Accessible, very friendly staff who think along. Recommended. And the play area for the kids was also very nice. A large games room. A bit grubby, but that's pretty much it.

Great location only acoustics of a paint can Food was 'OK'. Spareribs super tender but seriously fatty meat (you have to love it). And vegetables like you used to get at grandma's. Pizzas are ok for the Netherlands kitchen. Excellent service. Attentive, neat and fast. Floor in the toilet comparable to a German highway toilet. All in all a 2.5/5

Sometimes it's just that something didn't go well. According to my wife, the food there was good last time, so let's try it again. Not worth repeating, food is not served simultaneously 5-10 between. Even without cutlery and if they pick up an empty glass, they are not asked if you want something new. The table was also very sticky which felt very dirty. Unfortunately, it is no longer recommended and I will therefore warn people in my area not to go here!

Today we had a farewell for two colleagues and the start of a team outing. Very friendly service, large pieces of cake/pastry and also delicious in taste. Opened especially for the occasion!
