We entered with some hesitation, but everything was delicious, freshly prepared, and the waiter was exceptionally polite.

Extremely bad, in terms of service and food, I really would not go here, waste of your money!

Never again! The staff were as rude as can be, arguing every time they made a mistake. Lipstick and sauce still on the glasses and cutlery were too dirty to describe. And the food was definitely not up to par, the carpaccio browning and everything wet as if it had just come out of the freezer.

Thuis was very bad. I came to eat lunch and I have never eaten anything this disgusting. I fear that I am getting sick

Unfortunately, the carbonara with cream and the spaghetti with olive oil weren't spicy at all, and there was no garlic flavor to be found (it tasted like vegetable broth or Maggi instead). The waiter was very friendly, and the food was ready quickly. The wine was also delicious. The prices were reasonable, and the ambiance was typically Italian.

Pasta was great, ravioli was phenomenal, really good pizza, and good fish and chips. We did takeaway 4 times here this trip. Good stuff

The food was good, the burger patty was amazing, the fries were freshly made, and the service was extremely friendly. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed with the arugula, but that could be a matter of personal taste. So, ask beforehand what's included with your meal. Otherwise, highly recommended. P.S. The waiter is a real doer!

Was looking for a place where I could have a steak as I was craving one. We found this place while wondering. I am fairly particular about my steaks I was pleasantly surprised. As I ordered a tenderloin didn’t seem quite like the tenderloin that I get back at home, the cut wasn’t the best but the flavour was quite good.

We had a fantastic evening at Bella Regina! The lasagna and pasta carbonara were delicious, and the pizza No. 55 (Pizza dello Chef) was highly recommended: flavorful and fresh. What made our experience truly special was our waiter, Marco. He worked both upstairs and downstairs with enormous energy and dedication, always smiling and very helpful. The way he handled everything so smoothly, as if tireless, was admirable. Thanks to Marco and the warm, welcoming atmosphere, we felt completely welcome and had a wonderful time. Bella Regina is definitely a place we'll gladly return to!

The food was disappointing. The spaghetti and pizzas looked like they came from a school cafeteria, but the lasagna was decent. The service was terrible. The table was dirty, the waiters were little more than helpful, and they didn't even serve us. Completely disappointed by the current reviews.

Unfortunately, the pizza was only average—the taste was okay, but absolutely nothing special. For the price, I expected much more. The crust was neither particularly crispy nor fluffy, the tomato sauce was rather bland, and the toppings were very sparse. Overall, it was more of a standard pizza, the kind you can find on any corner—just way too expensive. It's a shame, the value for money isn't there at all.

This was our first dinner in Amsterdam and it was perfect. Very friendly and fast service. Food was good and came out quickly. It was great for a casual dinner with our family our server Marco took extra good care of us. Would highly recommend!

As soon as you open the door, you leave the noise of Vijzelstraat behind and step into an intimate, warm atmosphere. The interior is simple yet stylish, with soft lighting and a homey atmosphere that immediately evokes a family restaurant in Italy. From the very first moment, the service was friendly and genuinely attentive. You sense that no standard phrases are being rushed here—they truly pay attention to each guest. We were calmly explained the dishes, and when choosing the wine, we received a personal recommendation that perfectly matched our pasta. The food itself was absolutely delicious. The pasta had just the right bite, the sauce was rich and clearly freshly made. The pizza (with a thin, crispy crust) came steaming out of the oven and had that perfect balance of spice and creaminess. And for dessert… the tiramisu. Light, creamy, with just the right amount of coffee and cocoa to transport you to a Roman alleyway. What I perhaps appreciated most is that Bella Regina doesn't try to be "hip" or "over the top." No over-the-top styling or complicated fusion dishes – just genuinely good Italian food, served by people who know what they're doing and do it with love. What to expect: Cuisine: Traditional Italian dishes – pizzas, pasta, antipasti, tiramisu – without much fuss, but well-prepared. Atmosphere: Intimate, warmly lit, and a bit like being in a family restaurant in Italy. Service: Generally very friendly and personal, often run by people who clearly enjoy their work. Price level: Not the cheapest in town, but certainly affordable for the location (central Amsterdam). Conclusion: Bella Regina is one of those places you'd want to keep secret, so it stays small and charming. But good food and hospitality deserve to be shared. If you're in Amsterdam and fancy an authentic Italian evening, this is the place.

The boss's attitude seems good, but it's actually terrible. He was a little impatient when I wanted to pay separately with change, and he would omit the change. He would also miss some items when ordering, and he clearly mentioned it but didn't add it in, making people wait for 10 minutes. Don't come here

We were seated right away and our server was wonderful. The pizza and lasagna were perfect. We would definitely return if we had the opportunity to.

We wanted to try an Italian cuisine and because of maps and the reviews we give it a go. The restaurant was empty so the service was really quick, the decoration of the bistro was traditional, focusing on italian culture, the ambient music was related to that as well, but there was a big issue for the costumers in my opinion and was the fact that it was really hot inside (36° outside) and the couple of fans was insufficient. We ordered a "ravioli spinaci ricotta" that consist in ravioli witch spinach ricotta ans mushroom cream sauce and one "calzone" that have tomato sauce, mozzarella, salami, ham, pepper, mushrooms and onion, and the only thing that I have to say is TASTY, delicious, we only regret that the plate was not bigger haha 😅 I recommend this place but they should fix the room temperature ☝🏻

I live in the Netherlands for 5 years now and have never encountered such cozy, warm, welcoming and hospitable atmosphere ❤️ Everyone is super friendly, nice and caring, which is so rare to find in a big, crowded city like Amsterdam that is full of just short time passing tourists. I can definitely say that Marco (one of the owners) has preserved the infamous Italian atmosphere ☺️ Last but not least, food is beyond amazing ☺️ Strongly recommend Enjoy

As soon as I entered the restaurant I felt unwelcome by the waiter. He doesn’t have skills to deal with customers. After 2 mins I left. I don’t recommend it.

La comida era excelente, sabrosa, fresca y servida en porciones generosas. El ambiente tenía un ambiente familiar encantador, haciendo que toda la experiencia fuera muy agradable. Muy recomendable!

The restaurant is very centrally located in the center of Amsterdam. The staff was initially very friendly and attentive. The food (especially the pizzas) was truly delicious. However, we were charged extras that were completely unjustified. When we asked for payment, the staff were completely uncooperative and even a bit rude. Thus, this was our last visit and definitely not recommended.

Really nice pasta. We have tried tomato pasta with shrimp and also creamy pasta with salmon. Both were really tasty and I would recommend them. And of course I can't forget their tiramisu 🙂

With a group of 48 girls we had a fantastic evening upstairs in the restaurant at Bella Regina! The staff was super enthusiastic and incredibly flexible from the very first moment, so that all our wishes were arranged effortlessly. We thoroughly enjoyed delicious pizzas, tasty pasta and excellent wine, all for a great price!

As we went in the waiter seemed a little annoyed that we were coming in quite late 9pm and reluctantly gave us a table for 2 we asked for a cocktail he said no and so had a vodka and lemonade 13 euros Whilst the food was very nice the waiter was quite rude i thought.... one lad came in and asked for a table for 6 the waiter showed him a table and the lad asked for it to be wiped over the waiter argued and said it is clean i am not doing it the lad went out and spoke to his mates and never came back As this place is not the cheapest i am sure they missed out on over 200 euros of sales just for not giving the table a quick wipe

The wine, service and pizza were excellent. We thought you ate at the best restaurant in Amsterdam, where we stayed for a short time. We can say with peace of mind that price, service and quality are all together.

Lovely food, great atmosphere, brilliant customer service. Decent size iced tea - pint sized. Being gluten free finding places to eat can be difficult but Bella Regina has GF pasta available and cooked very well. I had the 4 cheese pasta and ate all of it as it was delicious. Very generous with portion sizes also. Definitely recommend!

Went here for dinner. We had pizza, pasta and fries. Food was very good and a reasonable price. The place itself was lovely and cosy with a good atmosphere. The man who took our order (I'm guessing the owner) was very nice and friendly. I would recommend this restaurant and will come back again when I am in Amsterdam. Thank you for a lovely meal : )
