Tourist trap. The menu outside shows cheaper prices, but if you sit inside, all pizzas are at least €3 more expensive. The pizza looked and tasted like a frozen pizza.

The server was very funny and made witty remarks. We all enjoyed it! The food was absolutely delicious! All the ingredients were fresh and nothing came from a can!

We had a wonderful experience at this little restaurant with my family. Delicious food, a wide selection, and very friendly, hardworking people! Highly recommended! My daughters eat there regularly and I'm a convert too 🥰

What appalling service we received from this restaurant. We had a reservation via Social Deal that was properly set for 9:00 PM. However, upon arrival, we were told that this was not possible at all and that they no longer accept Social Deals after 8:00 PM. That was strange. We really did have a reservation. When they checked the system, it turned out to be there indeed. But instead of helping us kindly, we were told in a very unfriendly manner that we had to finish our three courses within half an hour, because they were closing. After that, we were ignored for a long time and no drink order was even taken. Eventually, we got our money back via Social Deal. During this time, they also lied to Social Deal on the phone, claiming that we were already eating the starter. This, even though we could prove with a photo that we hadn't had anything yet. We hadn't even been able to order yet (see also the attached photo). So, they simply lied to Social Deal. No one came to our table to investigate or try to resolve the situation. We were simply stared at, and instead of apologizing for the situation (after all, they had offered the 9 PM time slot, which we as customers can't do anything about), absolutely nothing happened and we were just stared at. In my opinion, that is not how you treat your customers. We did not feel welcome, and it was absolutely not what we had envisioned as a pleasant dinner. And the claim that they were closing was also untrue, as orders were simply taken from non-Social Deal customers. Fortunately, the service from Social Deal was good, and they refunded our vouchers. But as far as we are concerned, this restaurant is absolutely not recommended.

Bella Regina was simply the best of the best in Amsterdam. From the very first moment, everything was perfect: incredible food, authentic flavors, and quality evident in every detail. Every dish we tried was spectacular, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. The care and dedication put into the cooking was evident. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the service was impeccable, attentive, and friendly at all times. Without a doubt, one of the best places we've ever eaten. We would go back in a heartbeat!

We came here for my mum's birthday - we had an excellent time from start to finish. The owner (I presume?) was very entertaining and made us giggle - he was charming and was very attentive. The food was extremely tasty and at a good price. He also gave us a complimentary dessert for my mum’s birthday which was very kind and thoughtful. We would come back!

My daughter and I stopped by for dinner on the way back to the hotel after a canal boat tour. I told my daughter to order seafood pasta and pizza, but while I was out for the bathroom, they offered garlic bread as a starter. I thought it was a freebie and asked for it. I was shocked and a little offended when they served plain, toasted pizza dough, without any doping. Two women could have ordered one pizza and one pasta, which would have been more than enough, but it felt like they were trying to trick customers with such a sleazy tactic. Furthermore, our food took almost an hour to arrive, and while others who arrived later were still eating, our order still wasn't there. I almost wondered if they were discriminating against us because we were Asian. The seafood pasta only had a few mussels and crab sticks, and not a single shrimp. It was the worst pasta I've ever had. If the food had been at least tasty, I would have been less upset. But even though I hadn't had dinner and was hungry, I left more than half of my pasta and pizza. It's my first day in Amsterdam and my image of the Netherlands has completely deteriorated.

It was an absolutely amazing experience dining here! We had originally passed by while heading to the Heineken Brewery and decided to come back after (because we saw the seafood pasta and were craving it) The store owner is such a friendly gentleman! He would make suggestions to make sure that we got exactly what we wanted and the food was simply amazing for such a cold evening! Do not let it’s empty atmosphere fool you, it is the most welcoming and homely place I’ve eaten in a long while and would definitely drop by again when I visit Amsterdam 👌👌

Never again! The staff were as rude as can be, arguing every time they made a mistake. Lipstick and sauce still on the glasses and cutlery were too dirty to describe. And the food was definitely not up to par, the carpaccio browning and everything wet as if it had just come out of the freezer.

Unfortunately, the carbonara with cream and the spaghetti with olive oil weren't spicy at all, and there was no garlic flavor to be found (it tasted like vegetable broth or Maggi instead). The waiter was very friendly, and the food was ready quickly. The wine was also delicious. The prices were reasonable, and the ambiance was typically Italian.

Pasta was great, ravioli was phenomenal, really good pizza, and good fish and chips. We did takeaway 4 times here this trip. Good stuff

Was looking for a place where I could have a steak as I was craving one. We found this place while wondering. I am fairly particular about my steaks I was pleasantly surprised. As I ordered a tenderloin didn’t seem quite like the tenderloin that I get back at home, the cut wasn’t the best but the flavour was quite good.

The food was disappointing. The spaghetti and pizzas looked like they came from a school cafeteria, but the lasagna was decent. The service was terrible. The table was dirty, the waiters were little more than helpful, and they didn't even serve us. Completely disappointed by the current reviews.

We had a fantastic evening at Bella Regina! The lasagna and pasta carbonara were delicious, and the pizza No. 55 (Pizza dello Chef) was highly recommended: flavorful and fresh. What made our experience truly special was our waiter, Marco. He worked both upstairs and downstairs with enormous energy and dedication, always smiling and very helpful. The way he handled everything so smoothly, as if tireless, was admirable. Thanks to Marco and the warm, welcoming atmosphere, we felt completely welcome and had a wonderful time. Bella Regina is definitely a place we'll gladly return to!

Unfortunately, the pizza was only average—the taste was okay, but absolutely nothing special. For the price, I expected much more. The crust was neither particularly crispy nor fluffy, the tomato sauce was rather bland, and the toppings were very sparse. Overall, it was more of a standard pizza, the kind you can find on any corner—just way too expensive. It's a shame, the value for money isn't there at all.

From the very first moment, the service was friendly and genuinely attentive. You sense that no standard phrases are being rushed here—they truly pay attention to each guest. We were calmly explained the dishes, and when choosing the wine, we received a personal recommendation that perfectly matched our pasta. The food itself was absolutely delicious. The pasta had just the right bite, the sauce was rich and clearly freshly made. The pizza (with a thin, crispy crust) came steaming out of the oven and had that perfect balance of spice and creaminess. And for dessert… the tiramisu. Light, creamy, with just the right amount of coffee and cocoa to transport you to a Roman alleyway. What I perhaps appreciated most is that Bella Regina doesn't try to be "hip" or "over the top." No over-the-top styling or complicated fusion dishes – just genuinely good Italian food, served by people who know what they're doing and do it with love. The boss's attitude seems good, but it's actually terrible. He was a little impatient when I wanted to pay separately with change, and he would omit the change. He would also miss some items when ordering, and he clearly mentioned it but didn't add it in, making people wait for 10 minutes. Don't come here

We wanted to try an Italian cuisine and because of maps and the reviews we give it a go. The restaurant was empty so the service was really quick, the decoration of the bistro was traditional, focusing on italian culture, the ambient music was related to that as well, but there was a big issue for the costumers in my opinion and was the fact that it was really hot inside (36° outside) and the couple of fans was insufficient. We ordered a "ravioli spinaci ricotta" that consist in ravioli witch spinach ricotta ans mushroom cream sauce and one "calzone" that have tomato sauce, mozzarella, salami, ham, pepper, mushrooms and onion, and the only thing that I have to say is TASTY, delicious, we only regret that the plate was not bigger haha 😅 I recommend this place but they should fix the room temperature ☝🏻

I live in the Netherlands for 5 years now and have never encountered such cozy, warm, welcoming and hospitable atmosphere ❤️ Everyone is super friendly, nice and caring, which is so rare to find in a big, crowded city like Amsterdam that is full of just short time passing tourists. I can definitely say that Marco (one of the owners) has preserved the infamous Italian atmosphere ☺️ Last but not least, food is beyond amazing ☺️ Strongly recommend Enjoy

The restaurant is very centrally located in the center of Amsterdam. The staff was initially very friendly and attentive. The food (especially the pizzas) was truly delicious. However, we were charged extras that were completely unjustified. When we asked for payment, the staff were completely uncooperative and even a bit rude. Thus, this was our last visit and definitely not recommended.
