Celebrated my mother's birthday for the 3rd time; she turned 91! In the Tipi tent. Everything was perfectly organized again and everything was delicious! The service was also great! Definitely recommended and also fun for the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren! Marijke Rijken-Ruiter

Nice location for children with fun playgrounds. Food is snack bar level. The frozen salmon from Aldi is fresher. We had a bad stomach upset after the meal.

I was there with a large group. Very pleasant, especially lots of space. Fun activities for children, though there weren't any for us. But it was cozy and fun to watch the children playing on the bouncy castle. There was plenty of food and drink. Highly recommended. Just give it a try yourself.

This is a place we go to regularly with our children. But today we had an unpleasant experience. We were allowed to sit with a small group, and after about an hour, we were asked if we could choose another table (there weren't any available except for one small table) because a larger group was arriving. And the gentleman came over to us twice saying that we really had to stand up, even though we weren't told this before we sat down that we had a time slot for the table. And we were the only ones who were sent away. Not a nice experience. I understand that it is busy and that you want to accommodate larger groups, but we also pay full price for our food and drinks. Too bad.

I was here for a condolence service in a separate room. The restaurant is also suitable for children.

This seems like a lovely place to go as a family with children. However, just going here for a casual meal feels a bit too ordinary. More like a campsite restaurant. That said, the service is good, the staff politely asks if everything is to your liking, and the dishes are served quickly. And you can order salad on the side free of charge.

The owner of Restaurant Bleij came across as very unpleasant to me.

If you have small children, it's a fine place. For people without children, I would go somewhere else. Why only 1 star for the food: hardly any vegetarian options, nothing vegan on the menu, and generally fried or not very healthy dishes (burgers, satay, fried eggs, fries, etc.). That is another reason why I would go somewhere else. Friendly service though!

Had a delicious meal. Friendly staff. They come by regularly to see if they can do anything else for you. Children can enjoy playing in the playground.

Tasty food and lots of fun for the kids

We had lunch for a 40th wedding anniversary celebration. The lunch was excellently catered, with various types of bread, four types of salads, cheese, cold cuts, and croquettes. Combined with a very spacious playground where all the children could tire themselves out, it was a great success.

It's a pleasant place to be if you have children. If you're going for a cozy, romantic dinner for two, I'd choose a different restaurant. The service is good, and the food is delicious. The only thing that could be improved is the restroom hygiene. Whether that's actually the restaurant's fault or the customers', I don't know.

Easter brunch. What a farce, too crowded, too many people. Fun for the children, but that's about it. If you sit on the wrong side of the restaurant and don't immediately get in line for food, you're out of luck. For the last time for us.

Always a pleasure to go here. I've been twice now with my children, once in the winter. It's a child-friendly restaurant with an indoor play area and an outdoor playground. But I was there recently when the weather was beautiful! Such a lovely atmosphere. Kids play outside, great view, and plenty of space. I highly recommend!

We went on a Wednesday morning, and the children were having a wonderful time playing. The parents had a good overview of the children and were finally able to chat with each other.

Was looking forward to having dinner with my kids. The restaurant was cold and loud, 3 events happening at the same time. People endlessly coming and going by you, doors opening and closing, loud music from the event, very very chaotic. Waiters were nice but just not around, needed to chase them to order and pay. It was very busy considering the number of staff, so there was practically no service, and requests were forgotten. The breakfast was delicious, and in this beautiful location, it was an oasis of tranquility.

We were pleasantly surprised by the vegetarian dishes we received at a buffet party. We enjoyed mushrooms with nuts and blue cheese, the beetroot carpaccio, and more. Classic dishes, perfectly prepared, and genuinely friendly service. Only the acoustics in the large space aren't quite ideal.

A really nice and delicious restaurant in Heemskerk. Perfect for children, who can play and jump around freely. The staff is always very friendly. I love coming here with my children (ages 0, 4, and 11). The only downside is that you can't reserve a spot on the terrace, but otherwise, it's a lovely place!

The play area is messy, and some of the toys are broken or damaged. A major drawback is the two screens with games; they really grab the children's attention, even though I try to limit screen time. If I wanted them in front of a screen, I would have put them in front of the TV at home. Furthermore, there's an open door next to the play area to another room, so you have to keep a close eye on the children to make sure they don't go there. I think a secure, enclosed play area is essential, and unfortunately, that's not the case here. The food, however, was good. I don't know if I'll be back anytime soon, but I do think the screen-free, enclosed play area is a must.

I was very surprised by the service at a restaurant that's so focused on children. It was very fast, and they were always there if you needed anything. The food was fine, nothing special, but certainly not bad. Everything looked beautiful, and I really enjoyed it.

We had a family party here in a teepee tent. It was incredibly well organized. There was plenty for kids to do. There was a small playground outside, and they even blew up two bouncy castles. Inside, it's small but cozy, and there's also a fun play area for the kids. I can't say much about the food because we only had small snacks, but they were good.

This is truly an ideal spot for families with young children. There are plenty of activities for the little ones, such as a trampoline and a playground, so parents can enjoy themselves in peace.

Since this restaurant is geared toward children, it was very crowded, loud, and hectic inside (in the rain). It's much better outside. Many of the toys are broken or greasy. The service staff were very friendly. The food was delicious. A few healthier options for children would have been great.

Had dinner there with a friend after swimming at the adjacent swimming facility. This place (and the playground!) is great when you want to eat out with your kids. However, the portion sizes are for kids while the price suggests adult-sized portions. Yes, you can order extra sides (fries and salad) free of charge, but (for example) the 2 skewers of chicken satay were simply a rip-off. The food itself is not the best, maybe a 6 out of 10, but the staff was absolutely great: friendly, attentive and efficient. Even though it was quite busy. Kudos there!!!

Very nice place to go with young children. There is a play corner inside and a playground and a large grass field outside. The food is just good, not exceptional but tasty enough. Also for children the menu is more extensive than you usually see. The service is excellent! Sufficient staff. Most are young but certainly capable. Clearly well trained. You are always helped quickly and friendly.

We regularly come to Bleij with the little one. The food is quite good, but especially the play options for our daughter are great, both indoors and outdoors. We were there today and had a good experience, the little one had a great time, the staff was as always friendly and the food is not special but tastes great, but man, this place has become expensive! We even went back to check if the bill was correct. Our daughter's ice cream turned out to be wrong. She had a rocket but the receipt said a treasure chest. According to the staff, this did not matter as these ice creams would be just as expensive. So €4.50 for an ice cream, it can't get any crazier. Given the ridiculously high prices, this is unfortunately the last time we have been to Bleij for a while. That's why only 2*, sorry Bleij

We drank cappuccino and ate delicious warm apple pie. Sunday morning and Bleij is full of children with parents. Cozy atmosphere and young employees cheerfully serving tasty snacks. Bleij is only not nice on the outside near the parking lot.

Here it is cozy summer and winter with nice staff. Affordable and top location with children. We've been coming here for years. Due to its success, make sure to make a reservation, especially at the weekend.

The play cafe is great fun, but it is often ruined by children older than 3 years old. There are always children around 5/6 years old, which is why accidents happen to the smaller children. The older children also often eat in the play area. Smarties can be dangerous for little ones. Can you be a little stricter about this since the play corner is for up to 3 years? Perhaps contact parents? Would it be clearer that it is for the little ones? This way it stays fun!

Food is good, service adequate, but average age could be slightly higher. In my opinion the atmosphere is reasonable but a bit messy and the toilets could be cleaned more often with all those children.

Nice playground, staff could be a bit more friendly. No oat milk or other plant-based milk for coffee... it's 2024... most "hip" places are alert to allergies, etc. This is a shame!

This is a nice family restaurant. With a nice playground and friendly staff. The food is good, fresh and of good quality. The prices for a la carte are slightly on the expensive side for the amount you get. But other than that: Bleij is always a good choice.

Update: outside it has become much more spacious with tents, tables and picnic tables. Cozy atmosphere and nice environment. Were here with 5 adults and 3 children and this time the service was great and the food was delicious! Always pleasant here. In short, a nice place that we try to visit regularly.

Portions were small. Children's menu is available for children up to 15 years old, but the portion of spaghetti was more suitable for a 4 year old. My 9 year old finished it within 1 minute. Having said this the waitress responded with. Oh so you're still hungry now? Nice exchange library, but if you then get the owner after you, accusing you of theft and banging on the car door, this is a disappointing evening. We will get food elsewhere and will not return here.

Even though it was very busy (because the weather was beautiful) on the terrace of restaurant Bleij, we were given a lovely spot outside by the staff. There were ten of us, so everything was ordered and served. Everything tasted great, especially the super large and varied snack board and the delicious drinks were very popular! Highly recommended! We will definitely come back!
