This is truly a 5 star restaurant experience! The service was super friendly and professional, the food was very surprising and extremely tasting. The interior was nice. It's a small restaurant that delivers a top experience. So happy to have a place like this in Zoetermeer.

Atmosphere less than in the old restaurant. Very warm inside. Too bad you can't choose from dishes anymore. The portions are much smaller and there is no wow feeling. Wine is good. A really good restaurant with an enthusiastic chef. He took on the challenge of guiding us through the 5 courses in 1 hour because we arrived late and had a deadline. Every course was a feast for the eyes. The flavors were surprisingly good. We enjoyed it. And I have already made a reservation for an evening when we really have the time!

To be honest, it was a bit disappointing. Personally, we thought the portions were on the small side, one of us went home hungry. In addition, many dishes were not super warm. Flavors weren't bad but not really exciting. Nothing stood out. Operation was okay. In short, unfortunately we cannot completely agree with the reviews below. Unfortunately not a second time for us.

Ate in the new restaurant for the first time. We ate a total of 9 different dishes over 5 courses during the tour through the menu. Delicious. Very friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. Feb 2025 ate again. It was still delicious, keep it up.

General impression My wife had eaten at Bo en Ro before and was very enthusiastic, so I was curious about this experience. The restaurant offers a concept where you choose a predetermined menu, which created the expectation that the quality of the dishes would be central. We were kindly received by an employee, but it was not immediately clear whether it was a waiter or a cook - the difference was not really visible. Various ingredients had been waiting under the infrared lamps since the beginning of the evening, including mashed potatoes, fried mushrooms and pasta shells in oil. This gave me a first impression that the dishes were not completely freshly prepared. Starters: The first dish was a confusing combination of lemon zests with mini burrata, herb oil and pomegranate. The smoked salmon was decorated with paper-thin greens and other drips of flavors that were too subtle to properly identify. The steak tartare felt machine-blended and the stringy structures were unpleasant in the mouth. The addition of curry made the whole thing too complex and disguised the taste of the meat. Intermediate course: We also got an entree of saffron rice, which although had a lovely floral scent, but no obvious saffron flavor. The chicken, cooked in a thick, sticky sauce with pomegranate again, was very dry and clearly came from a warming container – both the chicken and the rice had been prepared for some time. This made the experience less tasty as the dishes were not fresh. Soup: The pumpkin soup was disappointing – too watery and too heavily spiced with curry, which didn't balance the flavors. Main courses: The Dorade dish was tasty, but the accompanying bisque de homard was so minimal that it could hardly be tasted. Once again it had herbal oil and pomegranate on it, which made the flavors confusing. The main course with the brisket was delicious and perfectly cooked, with a tasty gravy. Unfortunately, the portion was so small that it was difficult to properly taste the three different types of puree, especially since they had been waiting under the heat lamp for some time. The brisket consisted of three small pieces of about 20 grams each, which gave the feeling that I was mainly eating appetizers, rather than a full-fledged dinner. Service: The service was friendly, but there was some confusion about the roles of the staff. The waiter poured the soups, while the cook served the wines. This caused some confusion, especially since the wines were often poured after the food had been served, when it was only noticed that the wine was still missing. The cutlery was similarly forgotten, making the experience less fluid. Atmosphere: The kitchen had a relaxed atmosphere, but the lack of clarity in the division of roles within the team affected the overall experience. The location is beautiful and the restaurant certainly has charm. Price-quality ratio: The price-quality ratio was disappointing for me. The portions were small and the flavors often confusing due to the use of too many frills. Considering the freshness and balance of the dishes, the price was not justified, especially for the quantity served. Dessert: Dessert was just as confusing as the previous dishes. It consisted of a mix of flavors that did not complement each other well: a fresh, sour jam over a delicate panna cotta, which immediately destroyed the taste of the panna cotta. In addition, there was a very strong chocolate mousse, accompanied by a scoop of ice cream and a piece of New York-style cheesecake. However, the cheesecake was too cold to eat and taste, which made it less than pleasant. As a suggestion, I would recommend using a cheesecake recipe that has a creamier mouthfeel, for example without flour, for a better experience.

The price for the food you take is very affordable and worth it. The quantity and the quality of the dishes are really great. But unfortunately I don't see that as a fine dining in terms of great and really tasty food I would certainly bring a company (person) to have a dinner at this place, it still is a very good place around Zoetermeer, perhaps the best.

One of the best restaurants in Zoetermeer. Great food and excellent service. I do think that the fixed menu is too big and I wish there was a choice with less food. Sofas also felt too low for the dining table. Other than these small details, an excellent choice.

Because we wanted to avoid the traffic jam, we spontaneously asked if there was still a spot. This was arranged with some sliding. We were surprised by all the small special courses. New venue, but same quality. We were seated just in front of the chef. Friendly staff and also a friendly chef. The food is good. I really liked the pumpkin soup and the steak tartar. I would recommend using chicken thighs for one of the mains, because the chicken breast was a little dry. The lamb was delicious, just too bad we had only 2 small slices each. I guess that is probably the reason why I couldn't give it a 5* rating, because the portions were somewhat small. I also had to use the same utensils for every dish, which didn't bother me at first, but it could have been replaced after 3 courses. Nice wine pairings for every dish though. Also great that they did something special for my birthday. Nice restaurant in Zoetermeer for a special occasion.

Quite a tasty meal, but I don't know whether it is worth the price. Maybe for someone who doesn't eat much. There is a nice atmosphere and the service explains neatly what is being served. No mention is made of the possibility of taking a matching wine arrangement, which is a shame. Chosen for the journey through the map. To start, a pumpkin soup in a cocktail glass. Then various snacks. Even though different dishes are served with different flavors, you do not get clean cutlery per course, very strange. Even if I place the cutlery closed on the plate, the waiter puts it aside and I don't get clean cutlery. Weird. The dishes are not large and must be shared with your table companions. Unfortunately, no cutlery was included, so the chicken was in dark sauce with a spoon, but I cut it into pieces myself. Most of the dishes are prepared in a big green egg, which is why the sausages and lamb tenderloin unfortunately have the same greasy smoky taste. Another disadvantage of a BBQ in an open kitchen is that the whole place is blue with smoke, causing all my clothes to smell of smoke. Even though there are quite a few small snacks, it was not enough for us and we still ate at home after paying 42.50 pp for the food alone. I just missed a clear high dish with an amount of rice or something like that. Shame

At Bo en Ro you can really enjoy delicious food, with an owner who puts his heart and soul into the dishes. They offer an exquisite mix of culinary delights and Persian flavors, surrounded by a pleasant atmosphere and excellent service. The matching wine pairing is definitely worth recommending.

Very special restaurant in the heart of Zoetermeer. New location in a beautiful old building. Delicious food, all small world dishes with delicious wine.

Wij werden heel vriendelijk ontvangen, het eten was super met al die verschillende smaken, de variatie tussen vlees, vis en groenten. Alles gecombineerd met een lekkere wijn. Wij hebben echt genoten. Voor herhaling vatbaar.

Ook zoals in het AD gemeld hebben we dezelfde ervaring opgedaan bij Bo&Ro. De bediening liet veel steken vallen en was niet gastvrij. De opgegeven “allergie” voor een gerecht is totaal niet gerespecteerd. Bij binnenkomst stond de Green Egg vol aan!! (Kleding ruikt er nog naar.) Het eten was wel oké, maar een echte verrassing was dit zeker niet, vreemde combinaties van oa vlees met garnalen. Geen aanrader om terug te keren, sorry. Doordat we met 6 personen waren hebben we zelf de sfeer gemaakt daarom 3 sterren.

We hebben een reis om de wereld genomen met een wijn arrangement en dat was geen verkeerde keus. Zeer smaakvol kan ik iedereen aanraden. vriendelijk en deskundig personeel.

Na een tijdje niet meer te zijn geweest, wisten we aan het einde van de avond waarom het altijd allemaal klopte bij dit restaurant. De service, de kwaliteit van het eten, de aandacht maar vooral hier op de nieuwe plek de rust....alles straalt rust uit...ondanks dat alle tafeltjes bezet waren, voelde wij geen haast, geen stress vanuit de open keuken, waar de eigenaar het beste uit zichzelf haalt, en dat zie je terug op je bord. Dat uiteindelijk diezelfde eigenaar ook aan het einde van het service de tijd neemt voor een persoonlijk moment aan tafel maakt het wat ons betreft af!! En als laatste dat nog steeds na jaren de twee toppers in de bediening er nog steeds zijn zegt wat ons betreft ook genoeg!! Kortom, wij komen zeker (weer) terug !!!!

Een van de beste restaurants van Z'meer maar ik vind de prijs-kwaliteit wel veranderd. Heerlijke gerechten met veel smaak en aandacht gemaakt, maar porties zijn in de afgelopen tijd kleiner en kleiner geworden. Ik heb thuis nog wat gegeten...

We hebben een fantastische reis door het menu (5 gangen) voorgeschoteld gekregen, op aanvraag volledig vegan. Het was een smakelijke en hele fijne ervaring. Zowel alle gerechten met veel aandacht bereid en personeel ontzettend bekwaam en vriendelijk. Wij komen zeker terug.

Wij waren vanavond met 4 dames hier eten... Verschillende gerechten en een combinatie van goede wijnen... It was a journey of flavors!! De service is top, de inrichting van het restaurant modern en warm, het eten, de wijnen van zeer goede kwaliteit.

Lievelings restaurant als er echt wat te vieren valt. Iets duurder maar wat mij betreft bijna tegen 1 Michelin ster aan.

Teleurgesteld na een middelmatig etentje. In het verleden meerdere malen heerlijk gegeten in een warme gastvrije omgeving. Helaas deze keer was het eten optisch mooi maar qua smaak teleurstellend. Veel te zout. De bediening... niet bepaald gastvrij. Lang wachten op het hoofdgerecht zonder even uitleg waarom. Zo druk was het niet!

Bij Bo&Ro inmiddels meer dan 10 keer gegeten en telkens klopt alles, bediening, eten, prijs en locatie. Een dikke aanrader.

Eten was erg goed, helaas was de kachel kapot en werd t ijskoud, het was fijn geweest als we een telefoontje hadden gekregen om ons iets warmer te kleden. Maar npgmaals t eten was heerlijk

Leuk concept. Geen kaart maar er wordt vooraf gevraagd wat de allergieën zijn en of er dingen zijn die je niet lust. Daar wordt rekening mee gehouden. Uiterst vriendelijke bediening en je kunt er makkelijk voor de deur parkeren.

Ik had heel graag willen zeggen dat het fantastisch was zoals de eerste keer 3 jaar geleden maar... Ik hou van mooi kleine hapjes en wil ik hier voor betalen maar dit waren hele kleine hapjes en het allemaal net niet. Echt jammer.

Bo & Ro is een heel lekker en goed restaurant. Bevind zich op een mooie en rustige locatie net buiten het centrum. In het restaurant hangt een rustige en moderne zweer. Makkelijk toegang-baar en heel schoon. Leuk personeel; heel vriendelijk. Het eten is goed en op zeer hoge kwaliteit. De variatie en verschillende soorten smaken verbaast je met elke hap, echt een aanrader.

Geweldig gegeten! Van buiten geen mooi restaurant aan een nog lelijker plein, maar dat maken ze eenmaal binnen dubbel en dwars goed: fijne bediening en heerlijk eten. Wij hadden de ‘rondreis’. Prijs-kwaliteit goed in balans. Echt complimenten!
