Had a delicious 6 course meal on Christmas Eve. We are deaf and asked in advance if they could clarify in advance what we were being served and they did so with flying colors! Highly recommended!

Could you please have your container shed thoroughly cleaned once in a while, the local dump is nothing compared to it, what a nasty rotten smell around this restaurant with not so friendly greetings from the neighborhood

On a Saturday evening we had a 6-course surprise menu here with an Easter wine arrangement. Upon entering the restaurant we were kindly received. The decor is stylish and we were lucky enough to sit not far from the kitchen and see the kitchen staff at work. The various appetizers and dishes were prepared with care and tasty. The wine and food combination was also more than fine. Eating by Pascal is without a doubt a fine-dining experience. In terms of level, they may be just below a restaurant with a Michelin star, but they are close to it. The advantage of this is that the price is significantly lower than at a star restaurant. So what is the difference? It's mainly in the small details. Leaving the empty plates for a little too long, forgetting to pour a wine before the dish is served, pouring a bubble beforehand without saying what it is exactly, that kind of thing. These are very small things that, in my opinion, should not spoil the fun at all. The staff is very friendly and attentive, so those little details don't really bother you. Add to that the fact that the food is really tasty and you will undoubtedly have a successful evening at By Pascal.

Ate here again tonight. The 6 course anniversary menu was great. The black dish with the wine in black glasses for blind tasting was also special. The service is very pleasant and competent. In short, we had a great evening.

Very tasty food and good service. Clearly the better segment within Oosterhout. Chose the 6 course 10th anniversary menu. Delicious welcome drink on the house before the start (11 euros/piece). The 2 courses with tuna and scallop were especially delicious. The focus is on matching wines, there is not much choice in special beers. This shouldn't spoil the fun, but IPAs etc. cannot be chosen. Some blonde beers and heavier brown ones. But that is not really appropriate in summer and warmer weather. Can be a choice, but in 2023 there is as much possible in this... at least as much as in wine and cheese

Last night we had a really delicious meal with 6 people. Received small snacks for their 10th anniversary, all of which provided a nice taste experience (surprise). Not only was the taste great, the layout was also clearly done with care and love. Everything was served with new plates and cutlery every time. Very friendly, caring service and explanation with every bite. Nice wine list to top it off, although I couldn't drink myself because of driving. Compliments

Our regular restaurant for 7 years, we come here 8 times a year and we are never disappointed and always personally received by Pascal and his wife Kirsten. Pascal's cooking can be called experimental, and he always surprises with spectacular combinations. everything is always on point. The service led by Kirsten is very professional and young, which gives the restaurant a more playful tone. For me they don't have to change anything. We love coming there and the next one is already in the agenda

Ate here during restaurant week. Our three-course menu was upgraded to 4 and we were allowed to indicate our preference for fish with the extra dish. Enjoyed all the flavors that came along in the various appetizers, the starter, intermediate course and main course. The dessert was also very tasty. We had a delicious meal here. Service was very cheerful and spontaneous at one and a little more serious at the other. Parking is available in the corner and was free on Thursday evenings after 6 p.m.

13-01-2023: Enjoyed a delicious menu By Pascal again tonight!! We are used to a lot in terms of food, but Pascal remains our favorite. Every dish is a true flavor bomb that we can't get enough of. The wines paired perfectly with the food! The extra dish that we were allowed to test was also delicious. Thank you for the wonderful evening team Pascal! 2020: Despite being prepared by the good reviews and stories, I was still very surprised! Really delicious food. The top service made the evening complete. We will definitely come back more often.

I hesitated for a long time whether to leave a review. But after I keep having a bad aftertaste when thinking about 'By Pascal', I'm going to do it anyway: My wife is pregnant and had already called in advance. It turned out to be no problem at all. We also passed this on again prior to dinner. We have no specific wishes in this regard, except that we adhere to the most common protocols of the nutrition center (which all general practitioners and hospitals in the Netherlands, etc. refer to). On the day itself, no fewer than three mistakes were made in the 6 courses. We've had it twice (somewhat with a heavy feeling) was returned. The third time we left it at that. - Mistake 1: Serving prawns (sent back) - Mistake 2: Predatory fish (Sea bass) served (sent back) - Mistake 3: Steak Tartare (didn't send it back, because we were done with it and felt quite bothered in the meantime). I honestly find this last one in particular very sloppy! Every catering employee knows that raw red meat is strictly discouraged. What is the matter here? I don't know, but a lack of knowledge or empathy seems to me to be the most important. In the end, nothing was deducted from the bill for the mistakes that were made. A whopping 180 euros without wine pairing. For this amount you can expect to be pampered and not be sent home with a heavy feeling.

We ate here during Restaurant Week XXL. We both opted for the 3-course menu at €34.50 pp. The dishes and appetizers were delicious, except for one, which we thought was too salty. We also passed that on, as well as the compliments for the dishes that we loved. The wine they serve matches the dishes perfectly. The restaurant has a hip, trendy atmosphere. The staff is correct and provides good explanations about the dishes served. I will definitely recommend this restaurant! There is parking within walking distance. The restaurant is located in the nightlife street of Oosterhout, but inside you won't notice any hustle and bustle from outside.

Delicious food, enjoyed seven courses, various appetizers and delicious wine. I took the "bob" wine package because seven full glasses of wine is a bit too much for me. My girlfriend was pregnant and they had adjusted some dishes accordingly. All in all we had a wonderful evening.

We had dinner there with six friends just before the lockdown during the restaurant week/month. It was very tasty. 3 course menu and a number of appetizers presented. We have never eaten so well, even though we have already visited several star restaurants. Nice owner who explained the dishes in detail. Worth repeating. We give Pascal a 10!! Return to our favorite in Oosterhout where we can now have lunch every Sunday. The restyling is at an advanced stage, the intention was to make it a bit calmer and that has largely been successful, especially in the restaurant area near the kitchen. The brightly colored back wall with a surrealistic scene, on the other hand, is one that screams for attention. Due to corona, tables are all neatly covered with damask, which is fine. We were escorted to a dark corner along the back wall. It's funny that you can see “everything” here through the mirrors. As an aperitif, Ti Mo Vermentino from San Marzano was very enjoyable. Next to it, airy corn crisps in a corn dip, served on a long, slender red tile. Nice and crunchy with a hint of popcorn. The amuse came on a large square porcelain dish in the shape of a prawn cracker with three appetizers with olive. To start, a crispy tortilla with black olive cream finished with olive crumble. After which focaccia with olive compote and a dollop of tomato jelly. And to finish, an olive cake with parmesan crisps. Good flavors and texture. The first accompaniment was neatly explained by the assistant sommelière, a Hungarian Zenit 2019 from Tornai, floral aroma, fairly complex on the palate with pleasant minerality. Next to it a beautiful sleek classic presentation. A cylinder surrounded by a ring made from pieces of candied Argentinian deep-sea shrimp. On the ring, segments of sweet and sour radish, dollops of paprika cream, pieces of watermelon and soy beans. Caper powder on the cylinder, finished at the table with a lime dressing. A generous portion with very pure and refined flavors, the shrimp was clearly less salty than the Portuguese carabineros. The wine matched seamlessly. (8) From California, a Panamera Chardonnay 2019, rich and round with a hint of caramel. Next to it a vegetarian dish in a black bowl. Potato mousseline with fermented garlic containing potato gnocchi, pieces of smoked almond, pieces of porcini mushrooms and dollops of chestnut cream, covered with potato foam, ground truffle and potato crisps. Full creamy flavors with earthy notes that combined well with the full, round wine. (7.75) To accompany the piece, a Beaujolais Fleurie 2019 from Grégoire Hoppenot poured from a carafe, elegant and juicy with notes of red fruit. From the kitchen a breast file of Anjou pigeon roasted on the carcass, with date compote, shiitake duxelles and risotto cooked in beetroot juice with coffee, on which a piece of fried foie gras. Finished at the table with our own gravy made with beetroot juice and coffee. Good cooking and excellent flavours, duxelles nicely flavored, risotto with a bite and a pleasant sweet touch of the fig. The wine functioned as a flavor enhancer with its refined acidity. For me the highlight of the afternoon. (8.5) As a dessert wine, an almost dry Traminac (Gewürztraminer) from Bolfan, clearly less sultry than that from Alsace with beautiful acidity and pleasant spiciness. Next to it a special dessert with sleek presentation. A white chocolate wokkel filled with cucumber mousse seasoned with wasabi and amarena cherry sauce, next to it a spicy cucumber sauce with wasabi, on the other side an amarena cherry sauce and a white chocolate marshmallow on top. A surprising combination of flavors that works out well, very original. The wine picked up the cucumber with wasabi very well, a nice ending. (8.25) Despite the fact that it was almost completely sold out, service was very good to excellent with sufficient personal attention. In summary, we can say that the chef's style has changed slightly, more classic preparations with slightly larger portions and subtler flavors, as well as a good wine selection in a nice ambiance. Thank you.

This is highly recommended, from service to kitchen everyone guarantees a great evening! We opted for a 5-course surprise menu but were showered with delicious appetizers and snacks before dinner started. All beautifully balanced dishes, I had difficulty eating the friandises with the coffee because it was too bad to pass up. We drank the wood-aged chardonnay house wine with dinner and it was very good. We will definitely come back!

Very nice restaurant with very creative cuisine and surprising and refined flavors. Normal sitting, not particularly cozy or anything, fine without comment. The portions are normal in size. We also asked for that. Better tasty than a lot and that was exactly right. Guys, this was delicious. Really worth a recommendation. If we had to mention one downside, it would be the loudness of the lounge music. It was really too loud for us for lunch. Too bad, it may be trendy, but it detracts from the dining experience. hopefully a Michelin star soon 🌟. And fortunately no surprise afterwards. What is mentioned on the menu is correct. No additives for water or the like. You choose all-inclusive and it is all-inclusive. Recommended with a capital A.

The interior is a bit gloomy and the background music came a bit to the foreground, but all in all a delicious meal with very nice flavors. 5 amuses of pumpkin, very beautiful and tasty, starter with scallops, especially the very finely chopped and marinated version was delicious, I thought the fish dish was a bit bland in taste. On July 20, 2018 we experienced the four-course surprise menu with wine arrangement. Because of the warm weather I asked if they could also do this with special beers and that was no problem. Personally, I thought the wines matched the dishes better than the beers, but the beers also complimented the dishes. In addition to the delicious dishes, we also received various "bites" and appetizers between courses. There was a fun and interesting story behind everything and we received detailed answers to all our questions. All in all, a five star rating for me. Top

Go eat here if you want to experience something different. Beautiful dishes and wines and attention to customers. Too bad it is a bit too small, which causes some noise pollution when it is full, but when the weather is nice you can sit on the terrace. You do get free Brabant water. Just do it.

We had a delicious meal on May 5. We took the 4-course By Pascal (surprise) menu. Intense flavors and delicious wines. One dish came with a "smoke sauce", where the smoke actually rose from a jar (cool). However, I found the smoky flavor in the sauce a bit too overpowering. The interior is beautiful and sleek, the location (on a busy road and busy nightlife street) is slightly less so. One point for improvement was the following: we were quite early and therefore the first guests. We started immediately with a tasty appetizer. Then came the first courses and the other amuse-bouches in quick succession. So things went quite smoothly. Nothing wrong with that in itself, but when the other guests slowly trickled in, the momentum suddenly stopped. We then had to wait about half an hour between two courses. Our tip: it would have been better to go a little slower in the beginning when it was still quiet, so that it was all at the same pace. All in all we had a nice evening and we will definitely come back.
