Restaurant De Vrijheid in Wijk 00 Oosterhout-Centrum

good consultation about my allergy

Had a delicious meal. Plenty of choice! Good service. I looked out onto an old-looking wall with a painting of roses. That was atmospheric. But my table companions looked into the restaurant, and that wasn't as atmospheric. Something could be done about that. Otherwise, worth a repeat visit. On a busy evening, it is best to park in the parking garage a little further away.

We enjoyed the atmosphere, the service, and the food again. It was top-notch again!

We had a great meal. It was fantastic, the staff very polite and friendly, really very cozy, and the food was super good.

Had a wonderful evening with nice and friendly service. The food was simply delicious, varied, and diverse. In short: highly recommended!

The food is good, the staff is friendly but quite slow. The toilet is very dirty, unfortunately. The atmosphere inside is also a bit mediocre due to the layout and use of color.

Absolutely top-notch. Food was exquisite. Service amazing. A very positive atmosphere.

The food was truly surprising and, above all, delicious👌 There is a relaxed atmosphere with top-notch service. Worth repeating.

Had a delicious meal, stayed quite late. For your menu: By the way, it's "Bao buns" instead of "Boa buns", unless these delicious buns are also allowed to issue parking fines.

Had a delicious meal inside tonight with excellent service! Dishes beautifully presented and very flavorful. The only minor downside is that communication between the wait staff and the kitchen is often too audible when you are seated inside. You don't need to know when which table needs to be cleared, who has asked for the bill, or when the food for table 104 can be served. But don't let that stop you from coming here for a delicious meal at reasonable prices!!

It was not a pleasant experience. Too little staff, took a long time to order. The table was dirty, lots of flies inside. The food just wasn't good and quite pricey.

Delicious food. Friendly service. Enjoyed sitting on the terrace. We will definitely come back again. Highly recommended.

We were able to enjoy a lovely lunch outside on the terrace. Fast and correct service and friendly staff. Despite a packed terrace and only 3 people serving, everything ran smoothly.

We had a lovely lunch on the terrace with 4 people. The salads and omelet were plentiful and delicious. Skuumkoppe on tap is always good. Nice location right by the park and near De Heuvel. Definitely recommended!

Delicious food and drinks! Friendly and knowledgeable service by the staff!

We enjoyed a High Wine at De Vrijheid with delicious wines and super tasty snacks, which were beautifully presented. Highly recommended!

We had a delicious meal (lunch), we were served very kindly, and the atmosphere is great. Definitely worth repeating.

Excellent service and location.

I have been to De Vrijheid before, but today the service was incredibly good!

Great evening, limited menu but plenty of choice à la carte, super service, super food quality, plentiful and flavorful, sufficiently large portions! Top notch, keep it up!

Very good. Absolutely nothing to criticize. We will definitely go back here.

Last night, the four of us had dinner at De Vrijheid for Father's Day. Three people had the 4-course set menu and one person ordered à la carte. It was delicious! The service was very friendly and hospitable. All in all, a lovely evening and we will definitely be back.

Good food, only the scallops were very small. And 3 for 15 euros is (too) steeply priced.

Had a super delicious meal and very nice, informal service 👌🏻

Had an exquisite dinner. Excellent and hospitable service. In short, top-notch! We would love to come back again.

Very nicely decorated, cheerful lady who helped us, and the food was delicious. Parking right in front of the door.

Definitely worth it for a good lunch!

My first visit to this highly acclaimed location was immediately a successful, tasteful, and extremely positive experience. The menu and drinks selection are excellent. Hospitality and expertise are written with capital letters here. Fair pricing. Highly recommended.

It was, as always, well taken care of.

Super friendly and welcoming Compliments to the staff Excellent quality at a great price level

Delicious food, friendly service

Last Wednesday, on May 13th, I had a delicious meal here with a friend; both the service and the food were simply top-notch!! Definitely recommended!

Simply good, cozy, friendly service, and affordable!

The reception was top-notch, and the staff friendly. The food was also excellent; it was the first time we ate there, and it is definitely worth a repeat visit. We will certainly eat there a few more times.

Tasty food, friendly service and.... a nice selection of non-alcoholic wines and beers.

The festive atmosphere of Mother's Day, the birthday, and the memorial service was disappointing due to mistakes by the staff and the chef. The timelines for various menus were too far apart.

Super reception, friendly and attentive service, and the 4-course dinner with paired wine was EXCELLENT, in terms of quality, taste, and presentation.

Had a delicious meal, good welcome and service.

Absolutely fantastic! Beautiful location, delicious food, super polite and friendly service. Definitely a place we will come back to!

Very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable service. The food has always been good so far. It has truly become one of our favorite restaurants.

We were sent inside because there was no room outside; there is nothing to complain about here, because full is full, of course. After we had been sitting for 10 minutes, we were asked if we had been there long because they weren't taking anyone else, even though people were sitting down at the other empty tables. Eventually, our order was taken, but they ran out of bar snacks, which was strange considering the plates of bitterballen were served right after us. We asked if we could get them; they said they would check but never got back to us. Nice place and location too, but they won't see us back here.

The day before King's Day, the hustle and bustle is elsewhere. Here, it was very quiet. We had a delicious meal to celebrate a 65th birthday. Hopefully, when it is busy, the kitchen takes just as much time to prepare the dishes so that guests can also enjoy themselves thoroughly.

Had a delicious meal, very friendly service. You can choose from 2 menus, they are helpful and flexible.

Received a very friendly welcome in a very nice restaurant. It was a wonderful taste experience. We will definitely come back again.

Had a delicious meal at De Vrijheid Oosterhout. It was a wonderful taste experience.

Beautiful location, friendly staff and a nice affordable menu

Had a lovely time sitting and having lunch on the terrace. Great atmosphere, good service: taking wishes into account.

We had a lot of fun here. We even celebrated.

Had a great meal, nice atmosphere and friendly and knowledgeable service.

Competitively priced, good service, the steak was very good, but the rest wasn't that special.

Had a delicious meal. Tasty food and friendly service.

Good atmosphere and friendly staff. The food (shared dining) was great!

Simply great service, food, and atmosphere

I only knew this place from the occasional drink on the way back to the car after a day of shopping. This time, I had a lovely meal with friends on a Saturday night. The food was delicious, the service itself was fine, but they could have come by more often to ask if anyone wanted another drink; in my opinion, that's a missed opportunity. Furthermore, one of the waiters (manager/owner?) had sprayed on a bit too much of his perfume, which we found really annoying! It was a strong smell that lingered for a long time, not very pleasant.

Pleasant service. Excellent food and a nice atmosphere. You feel at ease, and the food is well-prepared and delicious.

Too bad, I didn't get a warm welcome or a nod upon arrival, even though I had a reservation. We had to wait a long time before we could order anything. I suspect De Vrijheid could use a fresh makeover, in terms of food quality, interior, and service. (One person is a bit short.) The upstairs toilet is very difficult if you can't walk properly. The location is AMAZING!

We had a delicious meal in a cozy atmosphere and friendly service

It was well taken care of and sufficient, not too busy. One small point: we found it strange that fries and/or salad have to be ordered separately. We are of the opinion that these kinds of things should not be a supplement at a dinner. Bread beforehand is extra, that is clear.

Very good food for a reasonable price. Also a quiet, pleasant atmosphere with plenty of space between tables.

The food was delicious. I had a sirloin steak and paid €28.50 for it.

We enjoyed a fantastic Valentine's Day package. It was absolutely fantastic.

We made a reservation for 6:15 PM. Due to a delay, we couldn't arrive until 7:15 PM. We called and were politely greeted. It was no problem at all. Upon arrival, it was very busy and we didn't see any available tables. Our coats were taken and we were escorted to our table. This table was truly reserved for us. We received excellent help with our menu selection from the friendly Lieke and her colleagues. There was no rush, no pushiness, and they provided excellent explanations about the food and wines. The table was kept tidy and pleasant, no glass remained empty, and the staff took note of everything. The food was truly delicious and exactly what we expected for a Valentine's Day menu. The price/quality ratio was excellent. The crowd was relaxed, and there was a pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant. We had a nice chat with the owner, who was delighted to welcome us. All in all, a friendly welcome in a relaxed setting where we were well looked after with delicious food and drinks at a reasonable price. We won't hesitate and will definitely be back! Ruben & Lenoor

Enjoyed a Happy New Year's dinner deal. The quality was fantastic, as was the price. With a side of fries, the portions were ample. The service, as always, was very friendly.

Enjoyed a delicious high wine. We tasted lots of delicious wine! We also enjoyed some delicious snacks.

We thoroughly enjoyed the 4-course menu with matching wines again. The food was delicious, and the wines paired perfectly. It's also nice that you get an explanation of which wine you'll be served with.

We dined here with friends two weeks ago, and we thought it was so good that we went back yesterday. The food is excellent, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant's decor isn't overly flashy; it's calm, which is what I like. All in all, we had another wonderful evening at De Vrijheid restaurant. See you soon!

We had a three-course dinner and enjoyed it immensely. The portions were even quite large! We'll definitely be back.

Delicious lunch, good atmosphere, pleasant service

Delicious food and a very good host.

We had a wonderful meal in a lovely location in the center of Oosterhout. Parking is available right outside, which is ideal. In the summer, they also have a large terrace. We'll definitely be back.

Excellent food, compliments to the chefs and their team, we will definitely come back!

The food is truly excellent. The decor and interior design are also still perfectly fine. The service is friendly, correct, and welcoming, but what I miss is the genuine personal touch. I once discussed this with the chef/owner, but I got the impression he didn't quite get it. And in the summer, sitting outside is absolutely fantastic!

A great restaurant with excellent hospitality and attentive service. We go here for lunch every year with friends and are always well looked after. The food is delicious, and the service is exceptionally friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.

On a Sunday evening, I was pleasantly surprised by the high-quality food and service. Everything was so pure and relaxed, with high quality. Highly recommended!

We had a delicious meal with lovely wines; we went on Christmas Day, a really nice restaurant. Nice layout too, and friendly service, definitely worth a repeat visit 👌🏻 so that's why all the stars 🤩

The restaurant looks neat inside. The staff was a bit chaotic. We wouldn't be dining inside again; perhaps we'll have a drink on the terrace in the summer.

We had a delicious meal and the staff were friendly.

We had a delicious lunch! It was a cold, white world outside, but we were warmly welcomed and given tasty coffee and a lunch that was served kindly and tasted fantastic too! Until next time.

We enjoyed a delicious and refined meal at the January Special Dinner. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful Boxing Day evening. Delicious food, super cozy atmosphere, and excellent service!

We had a very successful evening. With delicious food and friendly staff in a cozy, relaxed setting.

Cozy atmosphere, pleasant staff

Lunch on a Monday. Not much is open then, but they are. We had a pleasant and delicious lunch.

Very creative and elaborate cuisine. I had the seasonal game menu, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The welcoming atmosphere and the friendly service contributed to a wonderful evening. Highly recommended!

Had a delicious salad with Tuna & Scampi, nothing to complain about.

Service was a bit chaotic; we had to wait a long time for some dishes, and sometimes we had to ask again to make sure we weren't forgotten. The food quality was good.

The dinner was delicious. The service was quick and friendly.

Excellent main courses and desserts. We didn't order an appetizer.

We booked a shared dining option, but opted for à la carte because of the game menu. It was great that we could do that. We had a delicious meal. One dish from the game menu wasn't quite to our liking, but the rest of that menu, and the regular menu, was beautiful and delicious. The staff was friendly. Ultimately, it wasn't cheap, but it wasn't ordinary either.

A young, driven team, a friendly welcome. Delicious food, honest cuisine. Highly recommended.

Everything was superbly prepared, looked fantastic, and tasted delicious as well. The service was prompt and polite. If they didn't know something, they'd ask in the kitchen instead of making up a story, which we've often experienced lately. The atmosphere was also good.

The two of us had the three-course game menu with wine pairing. Every course was excellent, and the wines were definitely not your average wines, but rather new to me, both regional and grape varieties. The pairing with the food was excellent. Highly recommended!

Delicious food, great service. The carpaccio I chose as a starter was surprisingly different from the usual, but incredibly delicious. The main courses and side dishes were also good, and the dessert was again surprising and delicious. Definitely recommended. The four stars for the atmosphere instead of five are because it wasn't busy, which, in my opinion, made it a little less cozy.

Excellent place. We were just passing through and were guided by the 4.4 rating. We had no complaints: a friendly welcome and delicious food.

We opted for the shared dining option. It started off a bit chaotic; drinks were ordered even though there wasn't a drinks menu on the table. Then we got one, and we were still missing one. Then we got the regular menu, even though we'd specified shared dining in our reservation. But once we finally got it, it went pretty smoothly. The food was tasty, but the flavors were often repetitive or not quite right. So, we felt it was a bit overpriced for what you get.

Delicious food, great service. One thing to note: use real whipped cream instead of whipped cream from a can. I always find that such a turn-off.

Friendly staff. Beautiful location in Oosterhout. Excellent food.

We opted for "shared dining." It's a great concept where you can order small dishes to share. There's a great variety and selection of dishes. Very tasty, good quality, and beautifully presented. A cozy spot on the terrace. The service was very attentive and focused on us as customers. Excellent service.

Had lunch on the terrace. The large parasols are a real bonus, the food was truly delicious, and the service was excellent. I still find it a shame that you're right next to the street, so there's often a car driving by. Not terribly disruptive, but a little less peaceful than I'd like.

We thoroughly enjoyed delicious dishes from the shared dining menu. The service was friendly.
