A deep bow to Jip and his team! With their new concept, they've raised the bar and exceeded our expectations. We had the 5-course menu with matching wines and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food, the excellent wine selection, and Jasper's passionate explanations. Nothing is too much trouble; you truly feel like a welcome guest. As far as I'm concerned: on to a Bib Gourmand!

We had a wonderful evening. A delicious four-course dinner with matching wines, all accompanied by atmospheric live music. The entire team was in top form. A warm welcome, excellent service with clear explanations of the dishes. The sommelier also made it a real party. The band was also very friendly and interacted with the guests. In short: a very successful evening. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful meal, a fantastic menu with herbs from their own garden! The 5-course menu is highly recommended!

This afternoon we enjoyed a three-course surprise lunch with matching wines. Both the dishes, including the amuse-bouches, were truly surprising, and the wines were exquisite and perfectly matched. The chef and sommelier were very friendly and knowledgeable, and very hospitable. Keep up the good work, and a Bib Gourmand (the quality far exceeded the price!) and a mention in the Gault Millau are inevitable. We'll be back soon to be surprised again. Thanks also for letting us recharge our bike batteries!

Last week we had a great meal and were very well received at the back room. Friendly staff and a real night out where you are well taken care of. That together with a great atmosphere an absolute must for a night out. We took the extensive menu of 6 courses incl wine arrangement and it was all delicious.

My partner still had to pay after she was unable to show up due to cancellation (illness) (group of 20 people). Annoying for a restaurant owner, but to still charge those costs with such a large group..

Sat in the ‘back’ garden with a very relaxed atmosphere. The service was incredibly friendly and the food looked beautifully presented and tasted very good. Had a nice lunch. We had to wait 40 minutes for it, but it was worth it and because of the atmosphere that was not bad at all. Really a nice place and recommended.

Last Saturday, June 7, 2025, lunched in the Achtertuin in a beautiful ambiance. Nice relaxed atmosphere and service but above all delicious vegetarian food. I was very happy and will definitely come back.

Had dinner with friends tonight. 4-course menu with bob wine arrangement. Dishes were tasty. At first glance sometimes a bit small, but we left the table very satisfied. It was really enough. Service was friendly and very helpful. In short, just a good restaurant and we had a nice evening.

Met grote verwachtingen een verrassing 4 gangen menu. De zalmtataar was niet echt bijzondere de asperges met risottorijst jammer deze was niet gaar. En de diamantjes zonder steekmessen doet taai aan dessert was wel weer top. Alles bijelkaar was de verwachting te hoog en was, en werd niet geheel waargemaakt.

Fantastic meal! We came a little later in the evening for a bite to eat. When we indicated that we were actually looking for a smaller meal than the extensive food on the menu, the chef, Eugene, made a custom dish especially for us. Incredibly attentive and delicious food. The service is excellent and the food delicious. Would recommend to everyone!

What a beautiful thing! Really surprising. Very atmospheric and extremely friendly staff. However, the dishes were hit and miss. Some dishes were delicious and tasty, but some were also bland, dull and dry. Some of our party's dishes were so small that it was actually unacceptable. 2 dishes (we were early and the menu is already small) were sold out. The toilet area could also definitely be cleaner. Quite a hangover if you want to spoil a group of loved ones in a nice restaurant, but everyone leaves relatively unsatisfied. Price/quality is not in proportion for us, €600.00 for 7 adults/2 children, 3 courses with some drinks.

Hier gaan eten n.a.v. de referenties maar viel erg tegen. Je krijgt in eerste instantie bij de menukaart geen hoofdgerechten te zien omdat ze de voorkeur hebben dat je het 3/4 of 5 gangen menu kiest wat ze aanbieden. Uiteindelijk de avond kaart gekregen vooraf carpaccio besteld. Nog nooit warme carpaccio met warme spinazie geserveerd gekregen! Hoofdgerecht entrecote was lekker. Bediening wel vriendelijk maar voor ons nooit meer!

Delicious food. You see a menu on the internet. We could only choose from a 3, 4 or 5 course dinner on site. So there was no choice. And what was a shame was that they only offered fish in the second and third courses. Better to offer both. By the way, it was all super tasty.

Nice restaurant in the center of Oosterhout, they have a very nice patio garden where you can sit, friendly staff and good service. There was only a very bad smell and when we asked, this probably came from the neighbors' waste containers. We were allowed to sit on the other side of the terrace and it didn't bother us.

I have been here before for a dinner in the winter where the restaurant already looked like a green plant mecca. The website makes this restaurant even more attractive! Had dinner for the second time yesterday with my fiancé. The backyard is more than you expect from a backyard: A gem for the eye, the service is attentive, cheerful, extremely hospitable and the food is fresh, good and tasty beyond expectations. We had a 4 course plus wine arrangement, live music and even got to sing together. For us personally, this made the evening a great success and we would love to come again for dinner. We zaten in de tuin, wat bijdroeg aan de feestvreugde. De meiden van de bediening waren snel, vriendelijk en kundig. We gaan er snel nog een keer heen!

Then the menu: a smaller menu often guarantees quality and that was it. From appetizers to dessert and all courses in between. Beautifully presented, very tasty and good timing between the dishes. Together with the wine arrangement, our evening was really complete. Good interaction with the wait staff. Danique and Maura are at your table with a smile and good explanations. Ge-wel-dig! Wij waren met zn zevenen vanaf ons vakantieadres in In De Achtertuin afgelopen vrijdag, 7 juni. We vonden het alle zeven helemaal geweldig. De service van de bediening en de smaak van het eten en de opgemaakte borden waren uitmuntend. Zelden van elk gerecht zo genoten. De sfeer zowel binnen als buiten is heel erg goed. De bediening werkte goed samen en waren heel flexibel met onze wensen. Toen we vroegen een extraatje te maken voor jarige moeder, werd er meteen actie ondernomen. Een grote aanrader!

Mooie entourage! Latte vanille en caramel waren heerlijk! Bij naar buiten gaan hoorden we pas dat jullie ook gebak hebben. Dat hadden we graag op de kaart teruggezien. Heerlijke bank om lekker cozy op te zitten!

While looking for a restaurant we knew, we ended up here for dinner for two. At first we thought we had the wrong address because you first have to walk through a hairdressing salon. Behind it you enter a beautiful green shop. We enjoyed the fresh and original dishes. The facility lives up to its name. The 3-4 or 5 course menu without choice seemed a bit limited to us. The dessert was not to my taste. Then I got another dessert which was completely fine.

We had made a reservation for 10 people, 3 small children/7 adults 'at 6 o'clock'. Around 10 past 7 we got the fries for the children, who eventually ran out of patience.... We got our food at HALF 8, and we were done at 5 past 8... This was because of the lousy ' amount of food on your plate. A head of cauliflower with sauce that you have to look for for 27.50?! & Cold served entrecote for 27.50?! And no; the young waitresses cannot do much about this, but they are simply inexperienced 'you notice that when asking questions/wishes from the customer'. Unfortunately, you see this phenomenon in many catering establishments. Great for an appetizer or a snack board with your wine or beer. But nothing more.

It's surprising that this restaurant is not fully booked, because it is certainly one of the best restaurants in Oosterhout. The entrance seems difficult to find on Google Maps, but it just goes straight through the building to this address. See picture.

The restaurant looks modern, cozy and very green. There are many plants, so you almost feel like you are really in the garden. There was enough service and we were helped well. Unfortunately, we did not find the price-quality ratio of the main courses to be good. I chose the duck breast fillet and I think I was served at most an ounce of meat (25.50 euros). The orange gravy was also a wine sauce. According to the chef, it also contained orange, but unfortunately I didn't taste it. The meat was beautifully pink and delicious. The fries ordered for €4.95 were unfortunately only a small bowl of fries. The creme brulee and white chocolate mousse were delicious.

Service and food were good, but we had to wait a very long time, an hour for the lunch dish and then another hour for the dessert. Very long for a lunch outing.

This was the last evening of our multi-day cycling tour through the Netherlands. We searched Google for a place to have dinner and luckily we found it with you. What a delicious meal we had! My husband chose the cod tenderloin and I chose the risotto and we were both very happy with our choice, so delicious! We also liked the fresh white Portuguese wine and the rosé. We were also very satisfied with the service, which was correct and very friendly. We sat outside on the cozy terrace, but if the weather were bad I wouldn't mind sitting inside, nicely decorated and good chairs I saw. I only regret one thing and that is that we live about 100 kilometers away. If this were in our neighborhood, I would like to come there regularly for lunch, dinner or drinks. Top business!

Had dinner on Sunday evening. Break bread with homemade spread. Red mullet and plaice fillet as main course. Spinach soup and grilled pork belly and coffee afterwards. Service is pleasant and the food was good. Good price/quality ratio. Nice location with a theme of plants or plants. garden. The restaurant gives the impression that you are sitting in a conservatory. Pleasant. No fuss, just nice. We will definitely come back.

Cozy restaurant with good food, good wine and live music by Miel on tour, a solo singer songwriter with a quiet performance, so that you can also discuss with your table companions. The Basiliek parking garage is nearby, so you can easily reach it by car. Great tent, highly recommended.

Today I celebrated my birthday with a festive lunch buffet with the whole family. That buffet not only looked beautiful and original, but was also delicious! It is a very nice place, nicely decorated. The food is also tasty, but the service is very slow. Besides that, I was not offered a new soft drink when I accidentally knocked it over (waitress was standing by). They also forgot to bring my coffee, I had to ask for it myself.
