Top restaurant that continues to amaze us. The star still shines brightly in Cheval Blanc, rightly so that they have had it for years.

What a great evening again. Delicious food, delicious wines, great cheeses and top staff. Everything top! With nice piano music, and requests. We will definitely come back (for 23 years 😉).

Excellent food and ditto wines. Beautiful and very tasteful dishes and Ton and team serve everyone with flair, humor and knowledge of the business. Really recommended!

Op 18 April zijn mijn vrouw en ik getrouwd. Wij hadden een lunch geboekt met onze directe familie en een paar vrienden. Tafel was perfect in orde, aankleding en ambiance was goed. Bediening perfect en het menu en bijpassende wijnen waren heerlijk.

Ate here in Heemstede for the first time, because we are very Haarlem oriented. That was a mistake. We should have been here earlier. More than excellent food. Fantastic wines with explanation. Cheese board with a cognac-like port that you rarely taste. Very warm welcome and everything very correctly, but not overly arranged. That mr. Nelissen has done very well.

A great selection! It’s a cozy place to dine and the food is delicious. The staff are very attentive.

Nice meal. The oysters are highly recommended. Dishes look beautiful and the matching wine for each dish has been well selected.

Had a great meal with a group of 12. 6 or 7 courses with matching wines that were served and explained with very good service. Ton is an excellent host. He and his team took good care of us and pampered us the entire evening. Definitely recommended if you like quality, hospitality and ambiance!

Na alle bekende feestdagen hadden wij nog een persoonlijk jubileum te vieren. Oktober 2022 hadden wij in dit restaurant onze eerste culinaire date. Een mooie rede hier na ruim 2 jaar weer terug te keren. Wij kozen voor een start met een feestelijk glas champagne. Vervolgens het 4 gangen menu geselecteerd. Er wordt een prachtige amuse met pastinaak en gevogelte mousse geserveerd. Heerlijk! De 4 gangen van het menu bestaan uit Kingfish, tong, hertenrug, die wij voorzagen van het supplement “gebakken eendenlever” en een overheerlijk dessert en kaasplankje. Alle gerechten kunstwerkjes in zowel presentatie als smaakbeleving. Een fantastische avond, waarvoor de brigade een dikke tien verdient.

Great restaurant, but I doubt whether the * is lived up to.

The food was delicious, but not so great that I could give it 5 stars. For a restaurant with a Michelin star, I found the ambiance disappointing. The restaurant was also almost completely empty for a Thursday evening. The waiter is wearing a suit and I had the feeling all evening that he was the security man. The toilet really needs to be renovated and could not be called fresh, except that there were neat towels, it does not fit in a restaurant with these prices. I will go to De Jonge Dikkert or Ratatouille next time. That's just one level higher.

Geweldig gegeten bij Cheval Blanc. Ontzettend lekkere gangen met bijpassende wijnen. Kundige bediening die veel kennis had van de verschillende smaken. Echt een fijne avond gehad. We komen zeker terug!

The food is great, the service was a bit lacking. Allergy discussed and the amuse contains the ingredients and the replacement amuse contains the ingredient that you do not like and why you had changed a course from the menu. The decoration of the building does not match the level of the kitchen. Young ministry is very good a pleasure to see those kind of people. A good cleaning and a critical look would mean a step forward

Wow! My second visit! What service, personality, care and knowledge. Everything perfect, and fun. Not stuffy like some Michelin stared , go there, have a fantastic meal and service, and not be afraid to smile!

Great experience, we had the all-in menu. Everything had been thought of and we really enjoyed the diverse flavors. The chef really knows what good combinations are. The owner is also very involved in his business and has had very good service. We enjoyed it! Thank you!

Ate on the terrace because the weather was still nice. However, this regularly caused problems with smokers who were also outside. Food tasted fine. Nice wine (size "bob" is a great idea, but sometimes very frugal). We missed a bit the connection between host and guest (us). The website turned out to have an older price list, so we were briefly surprised when we received the bill. So the food was fine, the rest 'mwoha'...

Hier samen met anderen gereserveerd en pas bij aankomst realiseren wij ons dat wij hier eerder zijn geweest. Pas achteraf lees ik ik terug dat we hier 4 jaar geleden een wat mindere ervaring hadden. Dat werd vanavond rechtgezet. Weliswaar niet echt een chique terras (en je zit schouder aan schouder bij het terras van de buren) en het uitzicht is de drogisterij aan de overkant, maar met de heaters aan kunnen wij hier nog lekker de hele avond buiten zitten. Onze gastheer is zeer flexibel, ons menu kan helemaal aangepast worden aan onze wensen en hij denkt ook nog mee. Bijvoorbeeld over wijn en per gang kiezen we welke (en of die half of heel glas is), het is allemaal mogelijk. En niet onbelangrijk, de gerechten smaken heerlijk, geen laffe smaakjes, behoorlijk uitgesproken, maar dat valt juist in de smaak. En de rekening viel ons (voor dit niveau restaurant) behoorlijk mee (met wat we de laatste tijd gewend zijn). We hebben een heerlijke avond gehad.

Bij dit toprestaurant gegeten met een groep van 10 personen. Heerlijke gerechten die als ware kunstwerken waren opgemaakt, lekkere wijnen, goede intervallen tussen de gangen en een ontspannen bediening en gastheer die de sfeer binnen onze groep goed aanvoelden. Een top avond in een toprestaurant.

We had a nice lunch and luckily we were able to do so on the terrace with the nice weather. The dishes were all paintings with delicious accompanying wine. Everything was well explained at the table.

Food was good. Everything fit well together, and portion wise it was never too little. Service was friendly, although a bit chaotic at times. Really nice to be able to have 1/3, 1/2 or a full glass of wine with every course.

Here you are in a place for a night out. Everything is done to please the guests. The welcome, the entourage and above all the great dishes. It is a culinary experience. If you are a lover of special dishes, very delicately presented and so many flavors, don't hesitate and experience it too...

Still one of the top 3 favorite restaurants on my list. Everything is perfectly taken care of and the food is delicious. Be sure to bring a well-filled wallet, it doesn't have a Michelin star for nothing

We had 5 courses dinner here pairing with wines for our anniversary. All the courses were tasty and well garnished. The paired wines were brilliant, making the dishes even more tasty and outstanding.

People make food with a passion for their profession! Very much enjoyed the (explanation) of the wines and dishes. Very special.

A very friendly patron/host with a great team. Unusual, extremely sophisticated and tasteful menu compilation. The ambience is cozy and warm. The price-performance ratio is excellent and the quality is worth every cent. It was our first time there and we will be happy to come back soon with great pleasure.

The Christmas menu 2023 gets ten stars from us: the individual courses are characterized by their refinement, international influences in combination with precise taste. The restaurant is very cozy and invites you to linger with the extremely friendly and caring chef and team.

Had dinner at Cheval Blanc on Christmas Eve. I had eaten there before and as always the food was delicious. However, the service and atmosphere left much to be desired. One dish took a very long time to be served. Other tables already had desserts and coffee. Then we asked for the dish. The response was as if they were still working on the court. It was a cold dish that could have been ready. Because we were so late, the restaurant was already being cleaned up and staff were walking through the place in casual clothes and the bar was becoming busier and more pleasant with staff. We had the feeling that we were no longer welcome and that we were just about to be looked away. Very sorry. I did not expect this in a star store. .

If there is something to celebrate, we do it with a great dinner and for us that is at Cheval Blanc.

At Cheval Blanc everything was perfectly arranged, down to the last detail. First the ambiance, a beautiful restaurant that gives a warm feeling. The wait staff was not only friendly, organized and professional, but also very knowledgeable. The menu is based on what is available at that time and will therefore never be boring. Cheval Blanc cooks at Champions League level. Every course was a genuine pleasure without having to search for what you were actually eating. All this, in combination with the hospitality and the beautiful wines, make Cheval Blanc an absolute must. Thank you very much and see you next time!

Had dinner with the family last night. Asked in advance for a quiet table, so that my father-in-law was comfortable. Everything was very well organised. The host always stood next to him during explanations so that he understood everything clearly. Enjoyed a delicious four-course dinner and delicious house wine. Brother-in-law had non-alcoholic beer and wine and thought it tasted great. Everything just felt right. We'll visit again soon. Pure enjoyment!

Fantastic restaurant with a homely atmosphere! The food was truly enjoyable, especially the seafood dishes, and the service was impeccable

Would be difficult to better this 1⭐️ Michelin restaurant in a quiet location near Haarlem in NL. The food was perfect, approachable (unlike some more fancy restaurants that aim to impress too much), really interesting flavours with lovely presentation. The staff spoke good English, and very willing to adapt the tasting menu to suit our tastes. The pairing wines were spot-on, everyone worked well and we could choose glass size each time to suit. Price as expected for the quality. We’d go out of our way to visit again if in the area.

The food is excellent, beautiful dishes, balanced in flavors in combination with good wine. The atmosphere is hospitable and casual, and the service is at the same time excellent. Highly recommended!

After a nice walk on the Zandvoort beach we stept into this cosy restaurant , welcome was friendly and they gave us a great table, Food was excellent and the wine paring perfect specialy as one can pick a BOB glas for those who drive there car. Can’t say what I liked the most so a very consistency in all the 5 course meals ( you can go up to 7 ) . Staff was friendly and made you feel home. Next time when we are around we will pop in again

We had a wonderful evening at Cheval Blanc in honor of my girlfriend's birthday. The food is fantastic, they take dietary requirements into account and come up with great tailor-made solutions. This way everyone can enjoy the dishes. The wines are fun and surprising. The stories and substantiation are as you would expect from a star. As icing on the cake, we even received a nice gift for the birthday. Great, we will definitely come back!

Heerlijke avond gehad bij Tom (naam eigenaar). Warm ontvangst , mooi samengesteld menu inclusief bijpassende wijnen en natuurlijk een geweldige uitleg van de gerechten en wijnen. Een absolute aanrader voor mensen die diverse smaak sensaties zoeken en willen proeven. ,

Uitstekende gerechten met een perfecte presentatie. Het menu, verzorgd door chef Huub van der Velden en zijn brigade, is iedere maand afwisselend, met gerechten waar seizoensgebonden elementen tot hun recht komen. De bediening is uiterst correct, gastvrij, doch laagdrempelig. Eigenaar en gastheer Ton Nelissen maakt er zaak van om ieder persoonlijk te woord te staan en zich op hun gemak te laten voelen. Zowel bij aanvang als tijdens de uitleg van de gerechten en/of bijpassende wijnen. Ondanks dat het restaurant nagenoeg altijd vol zit, hangt er een rustige, gemoedelijke sfeer. Nooit stress of paniek om zaken die verkeerd lopen, of gehaaste medewerkers. Dat zal vast wel eens gebeuren, maar daar merken wij nooit iets van. Wij komen hier al jaren met plezier terug en verwachten dit de komende jaren voort te zetten.

2023: Stabiele kwaliteit zoals je ook mag verwachten in een met een Michelin ster bekroond restaurant. Toch was ik ook een beetje teleurgesteld. Ik word graag verrast door bijzondere smaken of geuren en dat ontbrak. Dat doet echter niet af aan de kwaliteit die hier geserveerd wordt. 2018: Het met 1 Michelin ster bekroonde restaurant is zeker de moeite waard.

Wat hebben we genoten 2 weken geleden bij Rest. Cheval Blanc in Heemstede. Een mooie kaart, geweldig bediening en uiteindelijk voor een 5-gangen menu met wijnarrangement gekozen dat fantastisch was. Er werd goed voor ons gezorgd, het duurde qua tijd tussen de gangen niet te lang en de amuse was ook betoverend lekker. Komen zeker terug als we weer wat te vieren hebben!

We always love it. Relaxed atmosphere, fab food and great service. We always enjoy the wine pairing, which is possible with half glasses. Any changes to the menu or wine due to preferences are not a problem, which is great. The food is always surprising and very beautifully presented.

Zojuist het lunch menu gedaan, 6 gangen met wijnassortiment, heerlijk gegeten en mooie bijpassende wijnen. De gastheer was erg vriendelijk met een duidelijke uitleg van de gerechten, echt een aanrader!

Elke keer weer fantastisch. Wij komen al enkele jaren met enige regelmaat bij Ton en Huub. En elke keer klopt het hele plaatje qua eten, bediening en ervaring. Het is een bezoek meer dan waard. Wij kijken alweer uit naar de lente waardoor we weer op het terras kunnen zitten.

Heerlijk genoten van een kerstdiner met het team, met een moeilijke allergie persoon in ons midden werd er een heerlijk maaltijd geserveerd met een bijpassende wijn

Wij bezochten dit restaurant op een doordeweekse dag begin oktober. Wij waren de eerste gasten. Toch leek het alsof wij moesten wachten tot er meer gasten binnen waren en men kon beginnen met het programma. Zodoende hadden wij pas na 45 minuten het 1e gerecht op tafel. Ook bij de resterende gangen leek het alsof de keuken werkt o.b.v. een vast patroon. Dus als wij de 2e gang kregen was ook meteen de rest van de tafels aan de beurt. Ervaar ik niet bij andere restaurants van dit kaliber. Het eten was overigens echt heerlijk, maar de ambiance en de bediening kan beter en derhalve geen 5*. Voelde voor mij alsof je in een huiskamer dineert met weinig privacy. Iedereen kan je gesprek volgen. Tenslotte kwam de ober enigszins hautain op mij over.

Wij hebben samen een hele fijne avond gehad. De inrichting was gezellig en het personeel was geruisloos, maar tegelijkertijd heel attent en vriendelijk. En het eten was een feest. Hartelijk dank en complimenten aan alle personeel.

Even voor een snelle lunch maar wat een lekkernij ! Zalige tongfilet en verrukkelijke tortellini. Mooie smaken en lekkere wijn erbij. Gecombineerd met een uiterst aardige en behulpzame gastheer maakt een onverwachte lunch tot een feestje

Top avond gehad. Het eten was heerlijk alle gerechten weer super goed. Vriendelijke medewerkers.
