Restaurant DaMario in Wijk 21 Berkel

These days you should be happy with a piece of fish and a bowl of fries, but not here! It’s been a long time since I’ve eaten this well! A generously filled plate with warm vegetables and a delicious sauce over the fish. Fried potatoes with the same sauce. The grand dessert is highly recommended!

Great Italian restaurant. Had a tasty meal. Great service. But 2.50 for some extra cheese? Give me a break 😂

We had a very nice family dinner, food was good with nice relaxing atmosphere

Had a lovely meal on the terrace with 8 adults and 4 children; the service was also smooth 👍🏻

Delicious pizzas! And the other dishes are delicious too, by the way. Tasty Lambrusco 🍷 and a beer on tap to go with it....

Always delicious food, whether you eat there or get takeout, it is always perfect.

Great food and good staff, and they are always ready to help.

We found it cozy, the service was okay, and the food was tasty.

Unfortunately, the food was really not good. Especially not for the price you pay. Frozen spinach, sauce from a packet with the calamari, pasta that wasn't al dente... They did their best with the service, but unfortunately, that wasn't a top-notch experience either. Inexperienced staff constantly clearing everything off the table immediately in a restaurant that wasn't full. Unfortunately, no next time for us.

We had a super delicious pasta penne con carne with truffle sauce. Delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. A great restaurant for a night out.

Ate pasta carbonara. Very bad. Plate full of cream while there is no cream in real carbonaro. No second time for us.

Cozy restaurant, the food was delicious, very good service, nice atmosphere. Will definitely come back

Service could be a little better/more professional

DaMario, just a nice Italian restaurant. Food is just good and the service friendly. Simple menu with Italian classics. Pizzas are also of a good quality.

We have been living in Berkel and Rodenrijs for 12 years. And on Liberation Day we had dinner here for the first time with a large group and 2 days later again with our small family. What a nice business with very good and freshly prepared food, the owners are very nice people who will see us more often. See you soon Caio tuti

Ordered 2 children's pizzas with extra cheese and pepper for the peppers, it cost 2 euros extra (okay reasonable) for the cheese 5 euros, well I don't think that's normal, the pizzas were lukewarm and there was no taste, I think the peppers were pointed peppers without taste, no, not anymore there

Cozy place with the well-known Italian classics on the menu. The Bolognese, in this case with spaghetti (?), was tasty but without a surprising signature from the Chef. The pizza was nice but wouldn't be an award winner in Napoli. A bit on the squishy wet side, hanging points. Well topped, a bit bland olio picante. Very nice place.

A cozy and atmospheric restaurant, with friendly employees and delicious food

Unfortunately not tasty. The caprese tomatoes were not ripe. They were hard and tasteless. This also applies to the Bruschetta, drenched in olive oil. Risotto was fine, but the combination with the osso bucco is not recommended. Two slices on your plate doesn't look good. All in all not a good experience. Especially with the price you pay, you expect more quality!

I can only say that it is a very nice and tasty restaurant. Great service, you notice that they all do it together. Nice menu with enough choices. Nice prices. Many restaurants can learn something from this.

Delicious dishes and top quality! I have now picked up from Da Mario twice and am very satisfied. The first time I took 3 pizzas, and the second time 3 pastas (lasagna, trio di pasta and a pasta with salmon and cream sauce). Both times the food was really great! The pizzas were deliciously crispy and well topped, and the pastas had that authentic Italian taste. Everything was delivered warm and of perfect quality. In addition, the service is friendly and professional. You notice that they work with love for food here. I will definitely come back here more often. Highly recommended for anyone who loves Italian food! Thanks Mario.

Best pizza's in town. Fantastico!

Nice restaurant! Neat appearance and not too much fuss. We had a quiet table, which was ideal for our (business) group. Service is a bit stiff, but not bad. We had a delicious meal and a nice wine with it. Worth repeating!

Delicious food in a cozy environment. Good service.

We had dinner tonight and there is clearly a different chef in the kitchen than we are used to. Soup and fish are far below par. Spaghetti is undercooked. Reported it to a dull waiter and did nothing about it!!! Paid for 175 euros with 3 people, not worth it at all! We won't be coming back here again,📍📍📍

Although it was very quiet (Dutch XI played at the European Championship) it was a nice atmosphere.

I had dinner here with two friends. We all had a pizza. If you want to leave extra topping or something out of your dish, that is no problem.

Had a delicious meal with our staff. Everything was very well taken care of and on time for such a large group!

We had a bad experience in another Italian restaurant and found this one, totally the opposite!!! The service is amazing! All of the works very dedicated and welcoming, the owner also very kind and they made the environment very warming! The food is also amazing, we order pizza, the zucchini parmegianna and the onion soup. Everything tastes great and they also were really kind with my kids! Totally recommend

Cozy informal atmosphere with excellent food served by cheerful and friendly staff!!

Unfortunately, 1 gentleman who doesn't understand you, otherwise great

Delicious food, friendly service.

Went here for dinner with about eight people to celebrate a birthday. The place itself looks very bare and boring, the design is unkindly said, a bit sad. The staff had changing moods. The owners were a bit rude and not very friendly. While the service was nice. I had a pizza; this one wasn't great. Actually you can't call this Italian. Others may think this is a good Italian, but I really know (much) better Italians in Berkel and Rodenrijs. I don't like coming back.

Went for the first time on Tuesday evening, after reading other reviews and making my own experience. We had a delicious meal with very friendly, hospitable restaurateurs, we will definitely come back to taste other dishes.

On a weekday evening. Atmosphere was great!! Very sweet service. Food was delicious! Highly recommended, I will definitely come back here!!

Ordered pizzas with 25 people last night. It couldn't be delivered because there were too many pizzas. Quite logical, but then you expect something in the form of a discount, because this is not the best in terms of service. This was not possible, which is a shame because we order 300 euros worth of pizza. We have picked up the pizzas and will return to location. We discover that several pizzas are cold and many colleagues have received the wrong pizza. In short, it is not a nice restaurant and they cannot handle large orders. Next time I won't order from here again. I think every pizza place in the village is better than this one.

The food was fine, but we were very surprised by the bill we received afterwards. It turned out that the prices were about 4/5 euros higher than the prices on the menu online. It is wise to adjust the prices on the website! We also asked for a number of slices of (dry) bread with our starter and they were unceremoniously charged 6.5 for this.

The food was fine and well presented. The onion soup was delicious. Good meat and more than enough. Friendly service. The only downside was the place next door. We felt a cold wind every time someone entered. Some people are apparently born in the church and don't close the door. Further worth repeating.

The food and atmosphere are good

Fantastic pizza and pasta, with fresh products

Super, delicious food and very nice owner

Went to DaMario for dinner with a group of 10 people. Very friendly welcome upon entry. It was a quiet evening, but the atmosphere was pleasant. Service was knowledgeable and friendly. We are a little less enthusiastic about the food. Appetizer meatballs in tomato sauce; they weren't really balls, more like kneaded pieces of minced meat, the taste was fine, a bit of spice. Main course pasta aglio olio. Taste was ok, not very exciting, but a lot of oil, little parmigiano. Other main courses: pizza salami and pizza La mama, pizzas a bit salty and very oily. So far the evening has gone well in terms of meals. But then the desserts. Chocolate souflee, which was delicious. Cheese cake.....it was downright bad, dry, no taste, looked old and came out of the freezer. All in all a good meal, a bit overpriced. And the next day we as a family all had mild food poisoning. Not nice. Would we give them another chance? I don't think so... unfortunately. They really try to make something of it, but the quality and hygiene need to improve. Hospitality, service nothing to complain about. The case certainly has potential. We hope they will improve themselves.

Delicious food! One of the best Italian restaurants we have been to. Ordered fish and pasta :-)

Fantastisch lekker gegeten. Fijne staf, leuke omgeving

Smakelijk gegeten en zeer vriendelijke ontvangst en bediening. Sfeer was ontspannen en gezellig.

Prima gegeten, heel gastvrij ontvangen.

Eten is goed. Geen onmogelijke kaart met onmogelijk veel keuzes. Prima aanrader!

Heerlijk gegeten, niet druk kregen alle tijd. Vriendelijk personeel

Miła i szybka obsługa. Tanie jedzenie w ekskluzywnym lokalu. Gorąco polecam.

Echt heerlijke pizza's! Snelle bezorging. Feestje was geslaagd.

Prima gegeten en vriendelijke bediening

It was great!!! Good food friendly staff, we had a lovely evening!!!

Geweldig restaurant. HEERLIJK ETEN
