A super cozy interior, authentic, and something to see everywhere! A homey atmosphere. Great service and delicious food! We spent over four hours at the table.

What a fantastic restaurant! I've often driven past it but never been inside. The service is incredibly sweet, friendly, and excellent, and the interior is a feast for the eyes. The food was also delicious, with lots of fish, so I definitely need to eat there more often.

It was our second time at De Dikke Bries. When the weather is nice, it's always lovely to stroll through the harbor to the restaurant. The food was delicious again, but the service needs some improvement. One of us has a shrimp allergy and clearly indicated this when ordering. When the main course was served, they first brought the wrong dish (it happens!) and then the correct one, but with shrimp on the side. This is dangerous and absolutely unacceptable. However, it was quickly resolved. Furthermore, a little more attention could have been paid to additional drinks and other requests during the meal. We had a pleasant evening, with a delicious meal in a pleasant atmosphere.

These days, good value for money isn't something you can take for granted. But here, everything is just right. Thanks for the great time.

Delicious food. Tip: we walked to the restaurant with our dogs. There are 2 no-dog signs on the door. We would have preferred to see this more clearly on the parking lot. People with dogs also arrived after us. We also had to walk back to put the dog in the car. This is difficult for tourists, I think. The car is not next to the restaurant.

Afgelopen weekend na vele jaren weer eens gereserveerd bij DDB. Het eten was om te smullen, de bediening liet helaas te wensen over en hadden het niet onder controle waardoor we niet een hele relaxte ervaring hadden. Jammer!

Wat een mooie plek, aan de jachthaven en IJsselmeer. En wat een fijn restaurant. Er hangt een prettige sfeer ( wordt altijd bepaald door eigenaar/manager, zo ook hier). Ook vriendelijke, attente meisjes in de bediening. Als lunch namen we broodje biefstukpuntjes met champignonsaus: héél lang geleden dat ik ergens een broodje heb gegeten dat met zulke goede ingrediënten en zoveel liefde voor het vak was gemaakt. Echt heerlijk! Een logistiek probleem dat we hadden, werd door de baas ook nog met veel geduld opgelost. Wat ons betreft: zéker een aanrader!

Nicely furnished vintage-style accommodation near the marina with a very good varied menu to pick a fork.

We were in the marina, and wanted to have a beer and maybe some snacks at 5. All the tables were booked for dinner for the evening. But all of them were unoccupied at the moment. Most Dutch people usually have dinner after 19:00 in the weekend. The staff was absolutely against us having a drink while the tables were still free. Very unfriendly. Would not recommend if you want to feel welcome.

This restaurant gets a big 10 from me! I come from Den Helder myself and what the restaurants here do is nothing like the delicious food you have! You really can't eat out anywhere here, which is actually quite bad for such a big city. The atmosphere is good with the thick breeze, the choice is huge on the menu. Normally I have it in a restaurant, so I'll take that because I don't like the rest. With the thick breeze I want to order everything and I can hardly make a choice. Keep it up!!!!! You guys are the best

Dogs are not allowed inside. Since I'm not a second-class person because of my dog, Fat Bries has to do without me as a customer.

What a wonderful restaurant. I've been coming there since I was a baby and still enjoy it almost every week. Delicious wierings, no nonsense, just super good and people enjoy it. If you haven't been there yet, you definitely have to go here!

The restaurant is a museum in itself, there is plenty to see. The menu / glossy is very original and has a very extensive choice, something for everyone. The service was very attentive, fast and friendly. The food was very well received by our group, the excellent chocolate on the Dame Blanche really solidifies on your ice cream/plate, something you don't often see anymore, highly recommended. What a nice restaurant, you won't be able to see all the things that have been hung and placed. The restaurant magazine is fantastic, it literally gives a glimpse into the kitchen and conveys that this is a no-nonsense company with ditto staff. The latter were exhausted because it was quite busy, it's great that they were able to keep up, compliments. Nice service, delicious food and it's great that no dogs are allowed inside, more restaurants should have a policy.

Super nice restaurant in the marina (if you are in the area). Nice and neat service. The food was well received, and there is plenty to see on the walls and ceilings. When the weather is nice it will be wonderful to sit there for a snack or drink. Recommended.

Wat een leuke plek om te dineren. Reserveer hier om teleurstelling te voorkomen: het is vaak vol. Het restaurant is erg leuk ingericht met van alles en nog wat. Je kunt het zo gek niet bedenken en je raakt niet uitgekeken. De menukaart is zeer uitgebreid en ook erg leuk om te lezen. Er zijn meerdere vegetarische keuzes. Het eten was erg lekker en het personeel erg vriendelijk. De porties zijn groot.

Restaurant ligt in een vrij afgelegen haven, maar reserveren is een must; dat zegt wel genoeg. Je kijkt je ogen uit, overal hangt of staat iets. Het eten is goed, geen culinair hoogstandje maar gewoon lekker en goede porties! Ook leuk; afgelopen zaterdag was er live muziek.

Je kunt er erg lekker eten en dat merk je ook: het is enorm druk: de hele zaak zit vol op een zaterdagavond. De bediening kon het overigens goed aan, prima in orde. De aankleding is apart: er hangt van alles aan de wand en aan het plafond en begin oktober zaten wij aan een tafel met een kersttafelkleed met Sinterklaas in een hangmat en zijn knecht die mee stond te kijken. Porties eten hadden wat mij betreft iets kleiner gemogen: nu werd er best wel wat weggegooid en dat is zonde.

Een dikke 10! Echt heerlijk gegeten, Superleuke sfeer en fijne bediening. Ik zou het echt iedereen aanraden. Wij zaten overigens aan de aanschuiftafel, omdat wij telaat waren met reserveren voor twee. Maar wij kwamen bij twee hele gezellige mensen te zitten, dus dit is ook een goede optie!

16 borrelhapjes ala lidl voor 17 euro en de drankjes lauw. We hebben hier wel eens beter gezeten . Jammer, want het ia een prachtige plek.

Heerlijk gezellige plek met werkelijk heerlijk eten en lief personeel.

Een van de meest sfeervolle restaurants waar je maar kan eten. Je waant je eigen ergens tussen, in een museum en een kringloopwinkel, je heb oogen te kort. Het eten is er in een woord fantastisch en de kaart zo leuk, je raakt er niet op uitgekeken. Al met al zeker een aanrader.

Service is friendly. Ambiance is, well, different. Lots of knickknacks. The menu is extensive. Perhaps too. Better focus on doing less things right instead of offering a lot. Fish dishes are pretty good, the meat dishes are less so. Pork was (too) dry. Baked potatoes are very tasty tough. Views over the IJsselmeer are great. All in all alright. For us not worth a detour though.

Mooie locatie leuk ingericht en vriendelijk personeel, helaas krijg je amper waar voor je geld. Ik heb 26 euro betaald voor 4 mini stukjes vis aan een sateprikker. Zeer teleurstellend ging onvoldaan weg.

Uniek restaurant op een unieke plek, je komt hier binnen ogen tekort. Wij waren hier voor een heerlijke lunch, ze zijn op zondag sinds 1 Juli weer open voor de lunch!

Erg leuk restaurant aan de haven. Het gebied doet een beetje Amerikaans aan door de huisjes. Uitgebreide menukaart, leuke benamingen en overal in het restaurant wetenswaardigheidjes en vissers-waarheden. De bewegende poppen zijn een leuke extra attractie.

Gisteravond heerlijk Zeewolf (vis) gegeten, op verzoek. Eten was prima, bediening ook en ambiance nog steeds geweldig. Was top, dankjewel.

Met groep gegeten. Eten werd goed uitgeserveerd. Drankjes matig, paar keer gezegd dat we nog wat wilde drinken, maar daar was een andere serveerster voor. Uiteindelijk op de hele avond 2 drankjes gehad. Eten is goed, maar niet bijzonder, niet in verhouding met de stevige prijzen. De "lollige" namen van de gerechten, kan ik niet waarderen, maar mijn tafelgenoot wel

Heerlijk gegeten, klantvriendelijk personeel en uitstekende kwaliteit van zowel vis als vlees gerechten. Een echte aanrader en ware belevenis in Hollands Kroon.

Unschlagbar tolles Ambiente, urig und wirklich mit Witz - das setzt sich überall, in jedem Detail fort. Auch die Küche ist top, alles durchweg sehr gut und teilweise sogar recht innovativ.. Leider passt der Service nicht immer dazu, manchmal untadelig, man kann aber eben auch „Pech“ haben und muss dann alles mehrfach bestellen - und dreimal ist echt zu viel!! Schade auch, dass Hunde nur im Außenbereich toleriert werden.

Goed restaurant in de haven, plaatsen aan het raam hebben mooi uitzicht. Ben het niet geheel eens met andere recensies tav prijs/kwaliteit. Die is naar mijn mening goed. Ik heb dagvis (schol) gegeten en die was prima bereid met lekkere garnituur. Inrichting is niet mijn smaak, veel te vol, bepaalde soort humor.

Op aanraden geweest. leuke ambiance en prettige bediening. Echter passen de prijzen totaal niet bij het menu. Het eten is zeker niet slecht , maar van bistro kwaliteit. Een spies met zeeduivel, zalm en garnalen voor € 26,50 (garnalen moet je wel zoeken) en 3 sliptongetjes voor € 24,75 is behoorlijk aan de prijs. Misschien ligt dit aan corona qua verhoging ?, maar de prijs / kwaliteit verhouding klopt niet. Verder wel gezellig om te zitten, maar de kaart is zeker niet bijzonder.
