Had dinner here with friends on Thursday evening, it was great, thanks to team De Pleats

We have acquired brain damage and have difficulty with high levels of stimulation. We had a delicious meal here on the terrace yesterday, and there were few noise disturbances. Definitely a place to return to. Found it through AI, and the service was also very friendly and helpful because I wanted a slightly different dish than the standard menu. Tip: the tomato soup and fries are truly delicious here. 😀

We had a delicious meal at De Pleats tonight. The hosts were warmly welcomed. Good quality for a good price. Highly recommended.

We arrived in Burgum by boat and stumbled upon the De Pleats restaurant while strolling. We immediately loved the ambiance and were given a table for five without a reservation. Even our dog was no problem for the restaurant team. We enjoyed the best food here on our boat trip. The mustard soup is amazing, the stuffed schnitzel is superb, and the ravioli in cream is a real treat. This restaurant is highly recommended.

Lovely terrace out of the wind in the sun or under the trees out of the sun. Friendly, smooth service. Nice coffee, fresh mint tea with good pastries.

The food was super tasty And good service

Highly recommend for proper vegetarian and vegan options as that isn’t always accessible in Friesland. I had the pokebowl with tempeh and cauliflower rice for dinner. The bowl was freshly made and was full of flavor. For lunch, dinner or for a small bite there are plenty of options to choose from.

We celebrated our anniversary there. Very well taken care of.

Acoustics are poor, a lot of noise from sliding chair legs, conversation is almost impossible, and a lot of noise from mentally handicapped people at the same time, do something about those chair legs and we will consider coming for lunch again.

Far too few staff on an evening when there is a music event. Couldn't get a drink during the break.

Delicious food, excellent soup and also beautifully presented, and all in a positive atmosphere.

Buffet for 10 people provided by the Pleats. Food was delicious and diverse, good price and everything well arranged.

The staff is very nice. The food is also tasty and they have both gluten-free and vegetarian options. For gluten-free they have a special fryer. So great :) You can speak both Frisian and Dutch here (of course).

Cozy atmosphere. Lunch was good, a nice large bowl of soup was included. (somtimes its just the size of a thimble) We hope our waitress just had an off-day, her behaviour required some adjustment.

With 8 people we ate at De Pleats in Burgum and it was SUPER. Upon arrival, the atmospherically lit Pleats immediately caught our eye and it was nice and warm inside. We were led to a round table where we were quickly asked if we wanted something to drink. After ordering this and deciding not to have a starter, the order for the food was also quickly taken. After a short wait, the schnitzels, stew and the cranberry rolls were already served. The fried potatoes, fries, stewed pears, raw vegetables, endive and cabbage were also quickly on the table. The opinions were unanimous; it tasted delicious. Ordering extra vegetables, potatoes and fries was free! Because it was so good and cozy, everyone ordered a dessert. Small, but still large, fruit sorbets, the regular fruit sorbet, a dame blanche, an eton mess and preserving jars with syrup waffle ice cream were ordered. And to be honest, these were also delicious. This very successful evening was concluded with another cup of coffee. The opinions about the coffee were also unanimous, a very strong cup, that could have been a bit less... The delicious chocolates (s) however more than made up for it. Until next time!

Delicious food, you get lots of side dishes :)

Delicious food, great service too. Nice that there are 5 or 6 different side dishes with a main course. This way you can take what you like and order extra side dishes free of charge. Last time we had rhubarb which we ordered 3 times and now red cabbage and salad were our favourites! There was also fries with mayo, potatoes, stewed pear and a curry dish. Nice atmosphere too, although some of the chairs were very worn. A shame about the otherwise beautifully decorated rooms!

We sat down at a table, we had to leave, they said it was reserved, great! Would it also be useful to place a reserved sign? We were able to sit at a table by the window, but it still had to be cleared! Ordered drinks after about 10 minutes, they arrived with the wine without the non-alcoholic beer, said something about it, then they also took their time to deliver the beer, ordered a goat cheese salad, asked if it was pasteurized goat cheese I think so, the lady said, now I would like to be sure, the face was immediately not friendly anymore, goat's cheese was pasteurized, good then I will go for that, the menu said that there would be goat's cheese on the salad, 3 slices the rest was supplemented with a few cubes of feta, oh well I won't be back, third attempt that is not good, that's good!

Very tasty food, the only downside was that the ribs were on the dry side. Service was friendly and smiley. Recommended!

Delicious meal with the family. Our daughter eats gluten-free and the Pleats have arranged this very well. A separate gluten-free menu and most dishes are available gluten-free. Everything served separately. Definitely recommended.

We had dinner here and had a cup of tea in the morning. The food is delicious, the staff welcoming. A lot of jokes can be made and everything is discussed.

Delicious food, you get value for your money

If you come with your dog, you have to stay in the anteroom. It's not too bad, but it's very tight. My wife's vegetarian food (breaded top gin) was a total failure because it was soggy and not good. My food was okay so far. The service was friendly. We were a little disappointed this time.

Heerlijk gegeten. Ruime porties. Vriendelijk personeel. Biefstuk en mosselen gegeten. Heerlijk bereid en hierbij werd friet gebakken aardappel twee warme groente saladeen gestoofde peertjes geserveerd. Prima en dat voor een betaalbare prijs

Afterwards we sat separately with 16 people. Top! Lunch came quickly and was more than good, nothing wrong!

We come by spontaneously, but there is plenty of room. A highchair will be provided immediately. There is plenty of choice between 18 and 35 euros. The prawns were tasty and the grilled salmon was also good. The best part of that choice were the side dishes, see photo, which were plentiful. Upon departure, the daughter was allowed to choose a present.

I am always very critical when I visit a restaurant, but this is an example as it should be. Nothing to complain about at all. Just a 10👌👌

Voor het eerst een midweek vakantie houden in Friesland, dus ook tijd om lekker uit eten te gaan. Gekozen voor De Pleats in Burgum, mede n.a.v. de recensies op Tripadvisor. Van de keuze om hier te gaan dineren totaal geen spijt gehad. Het is een keurig restaurant met zeer vriendelijke bediening. Gekozen voor het stoofpotje. Dit smaakte heerlijk, bij dit gerecht werden 6 bijgerechten geserveerd, o.a. heerlijk verse worteltjes met wat kokos, gebakken aardappeltjes, patat, sperzieboontjes, salade en stoof peertjes. Alles vers en de bijgerechten konden opnieuw worden besteld, zonder meerkosten uiteraard. Als nagerecht een heerlijke Tiramisu besteld. Al met al een heerlijk eet ervaring en zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

On December 22 we were allowed to enjoy the Charles Dickens evening. We were a family of 17 people. divided over two round tables. We asked if we could push the tables together, but that was very difficult. The food was of course surprising, taste was good. Except for the steak, which was dry and tough. The side dishes were very limited for so many people, three really small bowls for 8 people. We asked if we could order drinks for dinner and the response was rather curt with 'Madam, we are now going to serve the main course first'. The drinks/wines finally arrived after we had finished the food. The staff were dragging their feet (perhaps too few staff) and seemed anything but relaxed. After dessert came the last story from the storytellers. Afterwards, the storytellers indicated that we could sit quietly and order a cup of coffee or tea, but all the staff had flown out so that was a bit difficult. The head of the family then settled the bill and we returned home (not completely satisfied). Costs per person €50 excl. drinks. Price-quality not in proportion. The costumes were beautiful and so were the stories. The booklet is also super nice and the taste of the dishes was excellent! But booking something like that again, no.

Ordered ham/cheese sandwich with white bread but got brown bread. Soup is lukewarm and bread does not contain herb butter. I don't feel like asking about this because I also had to look for a missing spoon with the soup. Service is slow: we had to wait a long time for what we ordered. Don't go here again anytime soon.

Nothing to write home about. The seating is nice, but the food is substandard. The mustard soup has an ok taste, but is much too salty due to the large amount of bacon. Then I had the spare ribs. This was a large portion with dry meat. The salad was ok, but had little taste. Fortunately, the fries were tasty and sufficient. Service is friendly and attentive. But wouldn't eat here again.

Nadat ik er eerder ben geweest met mijn gezin. Het een verschrikkelijke ervaring vond. De vaste klant ging voor alles. Wij werden niet netjes geholpen. Was het vandaag een hele fijne ervaring. Lunch was fantastisch net als het personeel.

Lunch bij de Plaats in Burgum. Een groot buitenterras. Ik ben niet binnen geweest, dat kan ik niet beoordelen. Via QR code kan men kleine bestellingen doen, zag ik op de tafelnummeringskaart. Een lunch gaat via de serveerster. In dit geval een medewerkster met het motto: geen woord teveel. De kroketten met brood, geen rustiek gebakken brood, maar 2 sneetjes bruin smaakten goed. De tosti was niet smakelijk. Koud met plakken kaas, die amper gesmolten waren. Bleek gebakken. Vraag me echt af hoe je zo'n simpel gerecht kan verprutsen. Helaas. Mocht ik er nog eens terug komen zal ik dit niet nog eens bestellen.. maar of ik nog eens terugkom is de vraag. Pinnen kan binnen...

Wir waren jetzt das dritte Mal dort. Wir sind begeistert. Das Essen ist sehr gut! Service ist hervorragend. Sehr Serviceorientiertes Restaurant, und Preis Leistung top! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. bitte weiter so ...

Heerlijk gegeten, mooie gerechten en een super vriendelijke bediening

Prima kaart. De lunch Pleatserij vinden wij een topper!

Heerlijk eten. Fijne sfeer en fijne mensen. Door drukte hadden ze onze tafel nodig (wij waren uit gegeten) kregen toen beide nog een kop koffie. Super service! Echt een aanrader😇

Ik had een latte besteld waarvan de melk niet meer goed was, werd meteen goed opgelost met een nieuwe, het zijn tenslotte de hondsdagen en kan het snel gaan. En de kindjes die we bij ons hadden mochten grabbelen uit de grabbelmand, zo leuk.

Het eten was lekker, er was een meisje die kaartjes in de bakjes op de tafel deed, maar ze begroette ons niet of vroeg wat we wilde eten. We hebben maar besteld via de qr code die op de tafel stond. Er staat dat je via iDeal kan betalen, maar bij ons kon dat niet helaas. De sfeer is wel leuk! Ze hadden ook erg veel keuze op de kaart

Het eten was erg lekker en ook prima in orde. De Wâldpyk was een beetje weinig, maar dit werd wel gecompenseerd door de bijgerechten. De service was echter zeer matig. Wij waren nog aan het eten, maar toen werden onze borden al meegenomen. Hier waren wij erg verbaasd over en dit hadden we niet verwacht. Vervolgens werd de patat omgegooid. Helaas een erg teleurstellend einde. Ook hadden we een fles zoete witte wijn besteld. Deze fles was wel erg duur als je het vergelijkt met de winkelprijs.
