Restaurant de Tolplas in Wijk 02 Hooge-Hexel

Great restaurant with a nice atmosphere and good food with generous portions, and they also have a takeaway service, so it's great if you've been out and about.

I ate an XL carpaccio here for the first time, and after that I had a schnitzel. Unfortunately, I was full by then, which was a shame because there were delicious desserts on the menu. In the afternoon, we also went for a quick drink, and I had a small plate with 3 tasty little things, as shown in the photo. I have noted down exactly what they are in the photos. The service was cheerful, which was very pleasant. We sat outside during the beautiful weather those days in August, but the restaurant looks beautifully atmospheric inside. There is also plenty of space between the tables, so it isn't all crammed together. That was something I noticed right away. It is also nice that there is a snack bar; you can order food in the restaurant to take back to your holiday home. I would love to eat here again. 🙏❤️

Top-notch, dog only allowed on the terrace

You just wait 2 hours for your food. What a lousy restaurant you are. No apologies for the long wait. But you still have to pay a hefty price. What a disgrace. I would 100% advise against dining here.

Had a delicious meal and quite a lot

We had made a reservation for 5:30 for 9 people. We were taken by a man with a grumpy look. The restaurant was quite empty. Behind us were one larger table and a few small tables, and outside, a few tables were occupied. I think about two-thirds of the tables were unoccupied. So it certainly wasn't busy. They only came to take our drink orders after 10 minutes, and the drinks were finally placed on the tables another 10 minutes later. After the dishes were taken, it took well over half an hour for the starters to arrive. Some of us only had a main course. For one child (14), part of the main course (fries with chicken nuggets) was served with the starters, even though it had been clearly stated that it would only be served with the main course. However, only the nuggets were served. Another person had ordered a bread board as a starter, which had been clearly stated as an amuse-bouche. After which it was served at the same time as the drinks and not with the starters. After the starters, we waited almost 45 to 50 minutes for the main course. During that time, the fries were the only thing that was properly hot. For most of the dishes, the vegetables and meat were lukewarm. There were also stains on the tableware that didn't look like they had just been put there, but were just really dirty. Additionally, one waitress had a tear in her blouse down the side, so you could see right into her armpits. Not very clean. We were served a half-liter of beer with 5 fingers of foam instead of 2. The soft drink glasses had greasy smudges on them without having been touched by us. We actually wanted to have dessert too, but after such poor service and sitting there for 2.5 hours for 2 courses that weren't even properly hot, we just left. Not recommended Slow service Lukewarm food Not worth your money.

It just wasn't quite right. Very expensive for what you get. And we had to wait a terribly long time. The staff were running their feet off, that wasn't the problem.

Beautiful location. Delicious food, friendly staff. Top-notch, highly recommended.

Wedding held here. Super food and friendly staff! Completely tailored to our own wishes. Everything was arranged perfectly!!

It was super delicious and cozy

We celebrated our wedding this weekend at restaurant De Tolplas. And everything was perfectly arranged! Beautiful location, friendly and attentive staff, people with a passion for the hospitality industry. The appetizers were very tasty and beautifully presented. Drinks were served efficiently. We didn't have to worry for a single moment about planning the day. We enjoyed it immensely and can recommend everyone to hold their party here!

Delicious food, good beautiful location. The staff is friendly and professional.

Had delicious fries at my sister's birthday

A perfect place to enjoy a delicious dinner or have a drink on the terrace!! Had a wonderful dinner and enjoyed ourselves on Wednesday evening 15/4. Service perfect, atmosphere great, just cozy. See you soon Stephan & Dixs

Really delicious food, beautifully presented, and very good service too. Definitely worth a visit!

We had a delicious meal for my birthday. It was very nice how the wait staff approached the guests. The food was also very tasty!

A wonderful place to enjoy brunch or lunch on a sunny Sunday. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is cozy. The staff is also friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommended!

We ate here with our family on a Sunday lunchtime in December and were absolutely delighted. The atmosphere was very cozy and inviting, decorated appropriately for the season. The service was very friendly and professional. We ordered tomato soup, beef carpaccio, and the house burger. All the dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. I personally have never eaten a tastier burger in my life. Truly excellent. I can't understand the reviews that deduct a star because of the prices. Anyone who receives high-quality, lovingly prepared food can't expect the prices of a fast-food joint that simply heats up frozen food. I wholeheartedly recommend the "de Tolpas" restaurant! 👍👍👍👍👍

We didn't get very far; our dog wasn't welcome. So we left again. A missed opportunity in a nearly empty atmosphere.

Better service doesn't exist! Absolutely recommended, wonderful waiters and staff. We truly felt like royalty, and the food was of the highest quality.

Terrible service. I ordered a beer and watched the lady grab my glass and carry it through the sink's foam straight into the Heineken sink.

Cozy restaurant with delicious dishes in good price / quality ratio. Very friendly service. Regularly visited and always good.

Had a great meal at Restaurant de Tolplas. Service is very friendly, a good atmosphere and attention for the children. The children had a great time in the fun play corner! We will definitely come back!

Fantastically delicious food. Very good and nice service! The Carpaccio XL is delicious but really XL! Recommended! We were a bit in a hurry (sorry) but they really did their best to serve us quickly. It was recommended! We will come back when we have more time!

What a nice and cozy restaurant. Delicious food, cozy. The only tip we have is that if you order a Chocolate crumble, it does not say on the menu that it contains fresh fruit. Because then we could have reported that the person who ordered it did not like it/didn't like it. Furthermore, excellent restaurant.

Nice restaurant. Very tasty meal!

Delicious food. Beautiful, spacious and attractive restaurant (in the summer there is an outdoor terrace where you can sit with a view of the Tolplas). Friendly staff, a varied menu and really tasty dishes.

This restaurant deserves to be at better holidaypark.

Wonderful restaurant! Both lunch and dinner are delicious here!! Cheerful and friendly service with a personal touch. And then you might think...hmmm a restaurant on a holiday park??...make no mistake this is a top restaurant! Recommended!

Delicious food, very friendly staff!

Had a delicious meal with the children and grandchildren on Saturday. We were all very satisfied. Have a wonderful and fun 80th birthday! And the service was top notch. Thank you very much for the very successful evening!

In the past I had gotten a good impression of the kitchen brigade through an excellent buffet for a private group. So when we started looking for a location for my wife's monthly meeting of The Sandwich Club, we decided to review the lunch menu. It looked good (photo) and my choice was quickly made, crazy as I am for poached eggs: Oeuffs Norvége (photo). The bowl of salad was also excellent due to its varied composition. Friendly staff. Small minus: the main part of the restaurant is designed as a "brown café". Atmospheric, but the purple ceiling lighting is detonating.

Delicious food, good service, also a gigantic play area for children. Great experience!

Nice cozy atmosphere and delicious food. The dishes are tasty and fresh, there is plenty of choice.

You can simply place an order and pick it up.

I was there with my family for dinner. It tasted really delicious. Always my pleasure

Nice food nice place nice staff

Arrived a little early and had a leisurely meal. Hospitable employees, correct and beautiful dishes, price quality, perfectly fine

We came here to have lunch, it was not very busy, about 5 tables with a maximum of 2 or 4 per table, and yet we had to wait an hour for a simple sandwich, if it is busy you understand, but it wasn't, plus there were no nice seats so it wasn't pleasant to have to wait that long

Nice location for a party. Good consultation with the manager.

Fantastically tasty and good food in a beautiful restaurant. A 10 for the chef and certainly also for the waiting staff! Family Butter.

Very friendly staff and a very extensive menu!!! We only had a drink and snacks there. Definitely going to have dinner there sometime.

Very nice atmosphere, great service and very good food. We recommend. The quality of the food is really top.

Very good food, drinks and good service!

We ate here twice. First time Chef's menu, delicious everything with asparagus Second time mixed grill and duck leg. Beautiful setting, good service, delicious food. The 2nd time outside with the dog, so with dessert. The first time without a dog, so no cup of coffee, but quickly back to the house.

The food and service are fantastic! The ambience is a mixture of old and modern light, which is quite successful. The restaurant is a bit more expensive, but worth the price!

Had a cup of coffee. Go with the price with the rest

Delicious food, we all had different dishes including vegetarian and they were all very good. We had never heard of the Tolplas, but don't let the fact that it is a restaurant at a holiday park stop you. The food is of a very high standard and very tasty. And the service was friendly despite it being very busy.

We had dinner at the toll lake! Highly recommended! Soooo delicious food! Very nice staff, we were really pampered!!!

Very tasty food and friendly, accommodating staff. Great pizza and delicious pasta, high prices but appropriate for the service and quality of the food.

Delicious food and drinks. Very courteous service. 1 star deducted for the lighting being way too dark. That's not everyone's case.

You should celebrate 50 years of marriage with your children and grandchildren. At least if all goes well. And that's it. Rented a holiday farm at a fireworks-free park in Den Ham because of the dog. Booked the day in advance at the Tolplas. Long story short: fantastic ambiance, something for every taste, excellent food with quick, friendly service. So great experience.

The rest was fully booked but we were kindly received and helped to a table and the food arrived very quickly but it was quite expensive and a drink was also expensive but yes it was just before Christmas 🎄 but yes

A great restaurant with super and hardworking employees. We had a fantastic meal and drank Primitivo. Definitely recommended, we will come back here!!

Nice atmosphere, friendly service and delicious food. Portions are more than sufficient.

.. we had a delicious meal, friendly staff 👍🏽

Delicious food with very friendly and helpful service in a beautiful, atmospheric location. Good price-quality ratio. To be repeated.

Super gegeten! Aardig personeel en mooie locatie!

Service 1 a (!!!) Essen mega lecker.

Super Location. Immer gern wieder.

Uitgebreid menu, erg vriendelijke bediening, heerlijk eten.

Bediening was top!

Gezellig personeel, goed eten (erg veel!) Prijs kwaliteit super
