Super nice restaurant! We ate here for my boyfriend's birthday and were immediately welcomed very hospitably with a personal card. Afterwards, we enjoyed a delicious 6-course dinner with paired wines. Everything was top-notch, but the service really stood out. We will definitely be back soon!

The staff was friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant was quiet and cozy. However, there was one minor flaw. On the menu, which is likely inspired by Japanese cuisine, the names of the fish species were listed in incorrect Japanese. Because we thought the restaurant would be embarrassed if these errors were not corrected, we pointed this out to the waiter, but according to him, it was ‘correct’. Therefore, I would like to mention this, in case it is useful for people visiting in the future: the main course ‘Unagi’ on the menu is, as can be seen in the third photo, a red fish species that resembles sea bass.

What a fantastic evening we had here. Each and every dish looked like a little work of art on the plate. The dessert, in particular, with the subtle edible flowers and pistachios, was a true taste sensation. Everything was perfect down to the last detail. My husband and I went here to celebrate our two-year anniversary. The dishes were delicious, exciting, and beautifully presented. They have really tasty non-alcoholic drinks that pair well with the dishes. It's a peaceful setting where you can easily have a conversation. The service is very friendly.

We (two seniors) had a wonderful experience. From 7:00 PM to almost 10:00 PM. Friendly, good, and relaxed service, who clearly sensed how to respond. Cozy, tasteful space. We chose a 6-course dinner. Surprisingly beautiful creations in terms of taste and presentation. Every plate and bowl looked delicious. We had such a great time. And thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food was delicious. We snacked, sometimes even licking something with our fingers. Such a shame to leave it on our plate. The gravy (two kinds) was so delicious you almost wanted to take it home. But I didn't ;) One comment: The coat rack. Too small. The hangers fall off easily and are tricky. How to fix it? I'll leave that up to you. So creative with the food, the coat rack should work too. Good luck with the rest. We'll definitely be back. 👍

I ate here with my wife. She is sensitive to stimuli and the staff were very accommodating. The service is very friendly and they can explain all the dishes and wines well. I was served non-alcoholic wines which are very tasty. We enjoyed ourselves and will definitely go back. Wonderful flavors and a nice atmosphere.

We chose this restaurant for a short trip. It lacked a bit of coziness, so we were given a table upstairs. Warmer wall colors and a few more pictures would have made it feel a bit more homey. The service was attentive and friendly, but overall, the noise level was quite loud, and the room echoed a lot. The food—we had a four-course meal—was delicious and beautifully presented. Everything was well-seasoned and fresh.

The food was delicious. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I didn't like the acoustics. And the lighting wasn't ideal for me. The light comes from spotlights on the ceiling. I was unlucky enough to sit under one of those spotlights. I prefer light that reflects off the ceiling or wall.

Last Saturday we had a wonderful meal at the Voorburcht! Beautiful balanced dishes, not really very pronounced flavors but well matched! In addition, beautiful wines that were expertly explained, if I have to mention a downside it is the acoustics, we were upstairs and it is quite noisy there. But the cozy, atmospheric ambiance and the friendly staff make up for a lot! all in all; Chapeau!

At Voorburcht, the quality of the food comes first, but the service and atmosphere are no less. The flavors of the dishes are subtle and precisely balanced. Some dishes made us wonder "how do they do that?". If you want something special, this is an excellent place to eat out.

Schitterend op alle vlak...lekker, verfijnd, mooie presentatie van gerechten, origineel gebracht. Bediening is vriendelijk en niet hooghartig, eerder gemoedelijk wat je onmiddellijk doet thuisvoelen. Gerechten zijn origineel met unieke smaken. De prijs om van te dromen (ivm Belgische prijzen) Totale aanrader dus, go,go,go... Wij zijn topfan!

Unbelievably delicious for an unbelievable price. We had the 3-course menu for €44. Delicious complex flavours with honest ingredients. Great service and cosy atmosphere; don't go there if you're in a hurry, you have to take your time (and they do take it between courses).

What a nice atmosphere, super friendly service, fantastic dishes and beautiful presentations. 🥂 We were lucky that there were many open wines (there had just been a wine tasting from a supplier). So enjoy the different wines with good advice. 😉 We will definitely come here more often. Hier dineren geeft je een gevoel van een prima entourage en super kwaliteit op je bord. Bediening is goed en uitstekend op de hoogte van de producten en wijnen. Een belangrijk gevoel wat vaak ontbreekt in restaurants, is hier volledig aanwezig de prijs in relatie tot de kwaliteit.

The prices are reasonable for the quality and service you get. €43 for a three-course meal including appetizers, €7 per wine glass (or non-alcoholic cocktail in my case), €4 for a bottle of table water, €3 for a cup of coffee. Niet zo geweldig als reviews laten blijken: voorgerecht was rauwe vis met snippers van rauwe ajuin die de smaak te veel beïnvloeden, tussengerecht, hert was niet echt warm en te rose ( werd ook niet gevraagd hoe wij het wilden) en hoofdgerecht, tarbot werd gereserveerd met dikke gebakken frieten die echt niet erbij pasten

You can order wine by the glass, but nowhere is it stated which one, so that after a misunderstanding with the sommelier, we had to pay for an entire bottle while we had already taken another bottle. The food was also not special: starter with raw fish was covered with raw onion that did not match, intermediate course namely venison was lukewarm and the main course, turbot was served with thick fried fries that did not match at all. If the cork is pulled off when uncorking a bottle of wine, you know that the Michelin star is not tomorrow.

Op een zeldzaam mooie en warme avond gaan dineren in Hattem. Reserveren betekent “weken van te voren” want dit pareltje heeft een bijzondere aantrekkingskracht. Het menu bevat verrassende smaakcombinaties zonder dat het krampachtig wordt. Bediening is kundig en vriendelijk. Lokatie is alleen al een bezoek waard. Wij hebben een heerlijke avond gehad en de prijs/kwaliteit verhouden is zeer prettig.

If you really want to eat good food, this is the place to be. Please note: make a reservation! It started well upon arrival: we were kindly received and were allowed to choose whether we wanted to sit upstairs or downstairs. We also received good help at the table. We opted for a five-course menu and started with two appetizers. Then a sandwich with deliciously seasoned butter was served. The herb butter was served on a boulder, which we thought was very original, something we had never seen before. For the starter, main course and dessert you could choose which dish you wanted, the intermediate courses were the same for every guest. The starter was really excellent, my favorite of the evening! All dishes were beautifully presented, there was nothing to complain about. If desired, a suitable drink was served. Dietary requirements were really taken into account and every dish was adapted if necessary. It was a really nice evening in this attractive restaurant, absolutely worth it, we really enjoyed it!

Zalig gegeten. 5 gangen verassingsmenu. Verassende combinaties. Hier gaan we vast vaker eten. En opvallend was de zeer gastvrije en geoliede organisatie. Complimenten voor de gastvrouwen. Ennn de rekening viel erg mee.

Mijn favoriet in Hattem! Heerlijk eten en een geweldige beleving. Het maakt niet uit wat je voor je neus krijgt, alles is super lekker. De bijpassende wijnen en bieren zijn een échte aanrader.

Geweldig eten, prachtige locatie, super bediening. De kaart heeft voor iedereen wel iets. Maar waar ik steeds weer van geniet zijn de hapjes tussendoor. Een ijshoorntje van houtskool met een ijsje van magnolia. Ik zou dit van mijn levensdagen niet bestellen op de kaart, maar was extreem verrast van de smaken. De steak tartaar is een aanbeveling (met een ijsje van piccalilly!!) En de boterzachte runderbavet.... het is niet netjes om je bord af te likken, maar wel erg verleidelijk!

De door de enthousiaste sommelier aanbevolen wijnen bij elke gang maakten het geheel perfect. De bediening was uitermate vriendelijk, maar niet stijf. Prachtig gedekte tafel, zorgvuldig uitgezocht servies. We hadden een fantastische avond.
