Restaurant Drinks and Bites in Centrum

This is our second time here. The first time was in the winter, and this time it's summer, so we could sit comfortably on the terrace. The owner was very friendly, attentive, and professional, and the service was excellent. We weren't served, but she still went out of her way to make a table available. The menu was good, and the lobster special was delicious. Both times we had a great meal, and the wine list was excellent, with a selection from a wall. 😊 Definitely recommended!

Went yesterday. Called in advance because we had to come from Ede. Friendly help on the phone. We know Drinks and Bites is good. Living in the north of the country and ended up here by chance. They had just opened at the time, visited again a few years ago for their anniversary (also a coincidence) So now quite close. We had a wonderful meal on a weekday, actually pure luxury but affordable. The attention paid to the dishes is good, proportion, maybe a little more garnish (dress up the right) this is very good for the money. We went for the 5 courses, table lovers I would say. Beef was super tender, good taste, nice smooth, even thick gravy, tasty (I could have used a little more 😇) The servers were friendly and pleasant. Value for money as a Culinary enthusiast and master chef. Until next time a 10 plus

Lovely, nice place with an informal atmosphere but great dishes. Taste and presentation have been carefully considered. Also nice open wines that compliment the dishes. More than excellent price-quality ratio. Highly recommended!!!

A more chic location than many other locations in Wageningen. But despite that, I sat on the terrace in my jeans and work polo and we were warmly welcomed. Things often work differently elsewhere. We came for drinks and were enthusiastic about the dinner menu by the owner/employee. Had a nice meal and drinks on the terrace. We will come here more often. An example for others.

We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary at Drinks & Bites. It was a very well organized evening. After a heavy rain shower to which you responded very adequately, we were finally able to dine outside all evening. The food was delicious. I have been coming here regularly over the years. Very nice, creative and classy dishes. The prices are quite high: 5.50 for a glass of wine is now very normal and a glass of water is also 5 euros.... the service is very friendly. And it's a nice place.

You will find this nice restaurant in the middle of the square in Wageningen. We came during the week and met a very friendly lady and, who we think is the father of the friendly lady, a special man. Haha. The food was very tasty and the drinks were certainly drinkable! Definitely a place we will return to more often.

Unfortunately, the new owner does not have the same passion. The star restaurant experience is no longer available. It is now just a nice restaurant, nothing to complain about, but without that little bit extra.

We had a nice meal with our family (5 people), all of whom had the 5-course menu: reasonably priced, high quality and we were nice and full (but not too full). Keep an eye on drink orders, as they can add up to the bill. It was a bit noisy: it was full, including a large group.

A fantastic restaurant with good service and expertise. Delicious wines and great prices for what you get. Cheese board is highly recommended. We would love to come back!

Food was good. Although the vegan version was lacking a bit of substance. But the atmosphere of the location is not nice. The room was empty apart from us and one other table but we were place in the middle of the room which made for a strange feeling. Also the waitress did not smile ones...

After reading all the positive reviews, we wanted to try this place. We think the food looked better than it tastes and the time between meals took forever. If you look for some normal decent food, this is not the place to go :-)

Unfortunately this time not such a special menu for October and the dessert was something completely different than we had been told. Looked like a magnum of the petrol pump presented in a more luxurious way. Although the service was friendly, it all took a very long time. Even when we honestly reported that we were disappointed about the bland flavors together and it was not nearly as good as the previous times, we received no response or anything while the dinner was for my husband's 65th birthday and the 50th anniversary of my parents' wedding. What a shame .... and for that money also a shame, a shame....

Delicious dinners with a wide choice from the wine list

July 25, 2015 at D&B, the main course was fine, but the price-quality ratio was poor. Had a cheese board for dessert, which was very expensive for a little cheese and three small sips of port for a decent price. The service wasn't too good either, it was grumpy. The wines are overpriced in terms of quality. We thought a bottle of regular Rioja was not really special for 35 euros. We have decided not to eat here anymore. It's a shame because the atmosphere is nice.
