Enjoyed Christmas lunch, delicious dishes, wonderful matching wines and excellent, super friendly service!

Good and friendly service. They're willing to consider child-friendly options; there's no children's menu, but they do make a lovely, appropriate dish. My youngest daughter, 8, said she had a wonderful time here! The price/quality ratio is also reasonable. I would definitely return (make a reservation).

Last night I ate at Diels RestoBar with the Anytime Fitness Ede team, and it was absolutely fantastic. A five-course dinner, no rush, just hours of dining, the way it should be. 🍽️ Great atmosphere, friendly service, and dishes prepared with care. Everything arrived at the table in a relaxed atmosphere, just the right pace for a nice chat with your team. Not too formal, not too cluttered, just a place where you can sit and relax without checking your watch. In short: good food, a great vibe, and an evening that flew by. We'll definitely be back. 👍

Discovered this gem of a restaurant in Wageningen. Beautiful interior, atmospheric, and cozy. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the food was delicious. We opted for the five-course surprise menu. The courses were served from an open kitchen, with plenty of space between them. The food was delicious and unique. A la carte is also available. We will definitely be back.

It's really great; it looks great, the service is incredibly friendly, and the food is delicious, but when it's full (at least for us), it's simply too noisy. If that doesn't bother you, then it's definitely recommended.

My favorite restaurant in Wageningen. I’ve been here a handful of times over the last few years and always had a great meal and fast service. I feel like you get a great dining experience for a reasonable price. Good wine recommendations and my “go to” for when company comes into town. Will be back again.

We had a wonderful dinner at DIELS. We came with a group (18 people) of colleagues and were warmly welcomed and served a delicious menu. It was also great that the entire upstairs was available to our group, making it easier to chat with each other. Thanks DIELS, and see you next time.

This is the worst restaurant I have been in Europe which has no respect for people with allergies and special dietary requirements. It takes 3 hours for them to prepare a dish and they don’t show any respect. Avoid it.

The food is first class. The menu is restricted but the offerings are great. There is a selection of beers but wine seems to be their specialty. Service is good, relaxed nobody is going to rush you

Gezellig restaurant. Lekker buiten kunnen zitten. De bediening was top. En als diabeet zijnde was er van alles mogelijk. Echt top. Het eten was heerlijk. De 3 gangenmenu viel zeer in de smaak bij de anderen.

A warm summer evening outside at DIELS, a really nice setting, a beautiful atmospheric restaurant. The wine selection was great, well matched to the dishes. I sought advice and it was enjoyable. We had a nice evening for two, and that is worth gold with two young children at home. However, everything went just a little slower than was nice: long waits between courses, empty glasses that were left standing for a while, the table that was full of empty plates for a little too long. Small things, but they add up. The plaice fillet was fine, although I secretly regretted not going for my partner's tenderloin (which was delicious). Found two bones in the fish, can happen, but it was noticeable. All in all: nice evening, nice place, friendly staff, but it could all have been a bit spicier. We will definitely come back (but then I will choose the tenderloin 😅).

The food was absolutely delicious and the ambiance was very cozy and stylish. However, the place was quite busy and there didn’t seem to be enough staff to handle the crowd.

The food was excellent (steak tartare and beef cheek) and the atmosphere was pleasant. Toilets tidy and service looked neat. One of the few catering establishments that are open on Mondays in Wageningen. Sufficient parking facilities.

We like coming here, but we still had a disappointing evening last weekend. The service was very slow. We had indicated in advance what time we had to leave, but despite promises, we believe nothing happened. So what was supposed to be a nice dinner became a stressful experience. Ultimately having to leave without a 3rd course. Bill was adjusted slightly, but very little. For now we will try some other restaurant

Inrichting ziet er super knus en gezellig uit. Boven en beneden verdieping met een “open” keuken. Personeel was erg vriendelijk en professioneel! Goeie kennis over wijn!

Wij gaan al 8 jaar naar Diels, vaste klanten, wij willen niks anders meer, we zijn een beetje verslaafd, zo goed en gezellig is het! 🤭😍 Eten is van perfecte kwaliteit, personeel is aardig en professioneel. Wijnen dik in orde. Altijd fijn verassingmenu. Ze denken zelfs mee als je even geen alcohol drinkt, hele lekkere non alcohol bubbelwijn gedronken. Het is onze vaste stek. We kunnen niks in de regio vinden wat dit restaurant overtreft! Onze dikke complimenten!!

Received by grumpy manager-madam. Drink prices through the roof, 3.50 for a bottle of soda. When booking a table, well in advance, Diels determines the table place. Not the guest. Quantity insufficient. Quality reasonable. Look further!

We eat here regularly. Always received a friendly welcome, dog is allowed, which is no problem if you let us know in advance. The five-course surprise menu is highly recommended.

We have been here when visiting my daughter who is studying in Wageningen. The place is nice although it was extremely busy (and a bit noisy). The staff is cordial and relatively fast. We had 3 starters (steak tartare, bisque of langoustine, sashimi mackerel) and 4 main (pheasant, fish and scallops and beetroot polenta), one dessert. We didn’t drink any wine/alcohol and we paid 200€ in total for 4 people.

We had an incredibly delicious meal here last week. Have a quick, good meal with a friend. Called in advance to see if that was possible. We were welcome from 5:00 PM. Upon entering we were warmly greeted by Tessa. Coats neatly handled and a nice table assigned. Because we were in a bit of a hurry, Tessa responded well to this. Good wine list and we chose a Rioja Muga reserva 2020. Beautiful deep wine. After this a delicious three-course dinner and each one was a beautiful story. Because it was still early, we also had a look in the kitchen. Spotless and excellent chef. Tessa is a perfect hostess, she pays attention to the guest at the right time. Definitely going to eat here again. Thank you very much Team Diels.

Cozy place in the center of Wageningen. The food is delicious and served extremely professionally by friendly service. Portions are not large and perhaps a slightly comfortable chair (round table in the corner) would contribute even more to the atmosphere! Recommended!

The service was really great, a nice young girl, with good wine advice. It was an international group to which she told everything in both English and Dutch, which I really appreciated :) The food tasted really delicious and gluten allergies could be taken into account. This restaurant is definitely recommended!

In dit restaurant hangt een gezellige knusse sfeer. Het eten is mooi opgediend en de smaken zijn zeer uitgesproken. De porties zouden iets groter mogen.

Nice restaurant with excellent staff. Surprise menu was available both vegetarian (for my table companion) and with meat/fish. Everything tasted good! Duck dish a bit heavy due to the powerful preparations, but beautifully prepared! One negative; If you ask for extra bread, it will be added twice to the bill. It is more tactical to leave this out, which will probably result in a higher tip from the guest.

Beautiful restaurant with lovely staff. Some of the staff could do a little more to connect the dots, we had to look around us several times for attention. The food was delicious, but had to send back a starter because it was not served hot. But the cooking of the main courses (red mullet and tournedos) was excellent, tasty dishes and beautiful combinations. All in all, this restaurant is highly recommended and with a little more attention it could easily score 5 stars.

Heerlijk driegangenmenu met collega's. Knap hoe alles tegelijk geserveerd werd, de gerechten zijn uit de kunst. Hier kom ik zeker nog een keer privé terug. Ik woon niet in de buurt maar het is een omweg waard! De sfeer spreekt me ook aan; een restaurant vermomd als bruin café, zo vat ik het maar even samen, waar de professionaliteit vanaf straalt, zo ook bijvoorbeeld de lekkere handdoekjes en zeepjes op het toilet. Bewondering voor de bediening die iedere keer de trap op- en af moet naar de keuken.

Delicious food, pleasantly surprised by the quality, taste and service. The 3-course menu was excellent, tuna canneloni, corn chicken with sweetbreads and a delicious dessert. Top! The veggie side for my wife was also excellent.

We were early because we were still going to the theater. But we didn't get the feeling that we were there at an awkward time. The place filled up slowly, but the table service was consistent all evening. Really delicious food, especially the tournedos is highly recommended. I do think it is a shame that the dishes are no longer explained at the table. Small effort and it is nice for the guest to know what you are eating. You haven't seen the menu for a while. The cheeses were explained very neatly as to what was there.

Back at Diels after three years. Clear steps forward have been made, and the starters in particular are challenging for an experienced eater. Excellently executed and always with a surprising flavor twist. The wines chosen were of excellent quality and well chosen. I had half a main course with gnocchi which was fine, but still lacked the excitement of the starters. Here too a delicious wine which made the dish more exciting. Finally, excellent coffee with home-made friandises. I say highly recommended! I'd love to come again.

Friendly service and great atmosphere. They take your wishes into account. The starter and dessert were delicious. They had topped the main course with the balsamic vinegar.

We had an amazing dinner with friends and family at Diels! The food was great and the service was amazing. However afterwards the taxi we had reserved in advance canceled on us last minute and it was close to midnight so many taxi companies were fully booked and unavailable. We tried to book some ourselves and asked our hotel reception but they were no help. However the waiting staffs of Diels were so very helpful and patient and helped us find a taxi in this difficult situation even after they had closed. Without them we would have been stuck and wouldn't have been able to make it back to our hotel. Thank you Diel waitresses!

I visited you for dinner with family and friends. We were able to enjoy a peaceful and memorable dinner with creative cuisine and friendly customer service. After the meal, the taxi I had booked didn't arrive, so I was stuck outside the restaurant late at night, and the waitresses who had served me earlier helped me. Since we didn't speak Dutch, they called the hotel and also called the taxi company. Thanks to that, I was able to return to the hotel safely! Even after finishing work, he worked hard for us for 30 minutes. I'm really thankful to you!

Top restaurant with an excellent menu and excellent service. You should make a reservation as the restaurant is always busy. The wine list and the menu leave nothing to be desired. It's best to choose a chef's menu, which is offered with three courses or more.

Wat was het weer geweldig bij Diels! Natuurlijk was het eten zalig, er was met zorg een aan te passen menu voor ons bedacht, we waren met zestien man. De timing van het uitserveren was perfect en zoals altijd was het eten zalig. Eigenlijk verbaas ik me daar niet meer over, want het is altijd heerlijk! Maar onze gastvrouw verdient een groot applaus! We zaten aan twee tafels bij elkaar en later kreeg ik van mijn vrienden te horen dat ze zich enorm verwend voelden met de persoonlijke aandacht (zestien man!) het service niveau lag enorm hoog. Geen glas bleef lang leeg, ze heeft samen met haar collega enorm hard gewerkt, zonder dat dat aan aardigheid en aandacht inboette. Dus nogmaals, we hebben een heerlijke avond gehad. Dank aan Elsko, Ditmar en de crew!

We had a nice dinner with friends on Saturday evening, but unexpectedly our toddler came along. From the moment you arrive, great attention is paid to the little one, even a specially prepared meal with dessert. Wonderful host and the food was excellent. The choice on the menu is refined.

As a chef with 40 years of experience, you don't easily find something just right. But the dishes from Diels' summer menu have a surprising and delicious taste and are served by staff with passion and knowledge for their profession. You don't come across the latter that often anymore either. Together with the delicious wine that we selected from the extensive wine list, the evening became a party. We enjoyed it and will definitely come back here.

Unfortunately, due to the promotion last Saturday, I had to learn that they still serve foie gras here. That's really not possible anymore. :-( Until foie gras is off the menu, I would especially recommend not eating here.

Been here several times over the years. The food here is delicious and the atmosphere is fantastic. My favorite: the chef's surprise menu, perfectly measured and any preferences / allergies, etc. are always taken into account. In addition, the dishes have always been carefully thought through and the presentation is beautiful.

What a top tent in Wageningen. Delicious food with excellent service. The total concept is correct and therefore the price-quality is correct. Of course the price is higher but you will be pampered. I love this!
