Restaurant Bisou in Centrum

Excellent food, quiet atmosphere.

We stumbled upon this place for a bite to eat. The steak and tagliatelle were delicious. The lettuce, unfortunately, wasn't fresh. The service was friendly. A bit disappointing was the unpleasant smell of (old) frying fat, the numerous fruit flies, and the stained t-shirt of the (gentle) waiter. The dreary plastic flowers, too, gave the place a somewhat shabby feel.

Ate here today. Let's start with the positive, the food was delicious, the service was super friendly and fast. The only downside was that there were live maggots on our slices of dried out orange/lemon from our cocktails. This is really not acceptable! According to the service it was the first delivery from a new supplier.... arrived today. The explanation that this was in a cupboard where only receipts are and no other food reassured us a bit but therefore a lower rating for the food.

We had a great time at this place. Food was fine but there are some points for improvement. Think of asparagus not completely cooked, meat at the other a bit tough. Just a shame. Service was not great, sometimes had to wait a bit longer, things were forgotten. And don't ask 'did you enjoy it' but 'are you ready'.

We had a huge disappointment last night. The only thing that was nice about the restaurant was the ambience. The service was absolutely overwhelmed. Several people in our group waited ages for their drinks, and some of the wine only came after an hour. The food also took a long time and sometimes the food was delivered to the wrong table, the salad was missing… Sometimes the food was not at all as described on the menu. The taste was just so-so. I have lived and worked in France and the style of food was not French at all. In particular, my “supposedly French chicken” was a complete disappointment, it tasted more like fast food. In addition, the restaurant only seems to have three drink menus in total, we had to order drinks blindly without having a menu, so we didn't know how much the wine actually cost, for example. The brand of ginger beer should be changed; in the end it just tasted like colored water.

I had a business meeting and we went for a coffee. But i will definitely go again because it was a small and cozy place with great service and i would like to try their food too.

Unfortunately we were not that enthusiastic. It started with the rather boring amuse bouche. Then delicious, well-cooked salmon, but far too little, and as a main course, well-cooked duck breast. I sent it back, after which the next one had a fine cuisson. I honestly don't understand why the cook served the first plate. The rest of the food was fine. It's a shame that you have to pay extra for fries and salad. We were not very enthusiastic in terms of atmosphere. Very noisy, acoustics not pleasant and very hot. The service was also excellent. I'm afraid we won't be back anytime soon. Edit: Thanks for the offer and good response. Since it was a dinner for two, no others will take advantage of the discount. I am afraid I cannot indicate when and if we will take advantage of the offer.

Very tasty meal. Nice that they serve an amuse-bouche. Run by a young couple. Very friendly.

We walked past here, I thought it looked nice. We first walked through the shopping street and eventually came back here. We had a very tasty meal! Friendly lady. We got bruschetta as a mini snack beforehand. We chose carpaccio and stuffed portobello as a starter and ravioli (with spinach and truffle cream sauce) and bavette as a main course. They were nice portions, not too small but not too big either. We still had room for dessert. For dessert we had caramelized banana and crème brulee, everything was very tasty. Afterwards Irish Coffee and tea, the tea I was given a choice of 3 types of fresh tea, great! I like it much better than tea bags. My husband said that the men's toilet is cramped, not suitable for a wheelchair, for example.

Heerlijk gegeten. Goede prijs en kwaliteitverhouding. Zelf heb ik de bavette op, echt een aanrader een lekker zacht en vooral mals en smaakvol stuk vlees. Complimenten naar de koks en ook de bediening was vrolijk en erg gastvrij Zeker een aanrader om nog een keer aan te schuiven

Located in a beautiful location! The carpaccio was very tasty. However, the satay was quite tasteless. In addition, it is striking that you do not get fries on anything for the money you pay.

Nice restaurant. But we had the carpaccio salad and it was very poor. Just carpaccio on a plate, just like a starter. And then some more lettuce on top. Too bad! Tasted good.

We were allowed to eat here for an anniversary dinner where the restaurant was rented by the company. A buffet had been set up here with sufficient variety of possible dietary requirements of good quality. The atmosphere was good in a nicely decorated restaurant and the service was friendly and professional.

What a wonderful place to be! Friendly service, delicious food, cozy, everything was perfect. We will definitely come back here many more times! Really enjoyed it immensely!!! Highly recommended!

De bediening was prima, maar het eten is niet meer wat het eerder was. Erg eenvoudig, bij hoofdmaaltijd moet je rijst of friet bij bestellen. Meer een luxe snackbar.

Wat een gezellig, sfeervol restaurant is Bisou in Wageningen. We hebben het geluk gehad om hier te mogen eten. Alles was lekker, goed op smaak en de cuisson van zowel vlees als vis was perfect! We hebben even kunnen spreken met de eigenaresse en het is wonderlijk hoe een droom tot werkelijkheid is geworden voor deze jonge eigenaars. We hebben een heerlijke avond gehad!

I had a very nice date here that I met through “Breeze”. The atmosphere, customer service and location were all great. I would love to come back here again with friends or on a next date.

I would call it a cafe rather than a restaurant. Outside on the terrace, there were plastic flowers on a messy table, or better, 2 tables that were not properly placed against each other. The 3-course menu option was on the site for a special price, but the new owner had not had time to remove this offer in the past 2 months(!). Moreover, the fries were not included but had to be paid extra. This feels like deception. The carpaccio did not contain the promised pine nuts but sunflower seeds... The service was okay.

According to the website you could eat a 3-course menu here for €32.50, but that turned out to be incorrect so that was strange. The carpaccio was a culinary catastrophe. According to the menu it would be served with pine nuts, but it had sunflower seeds on it?? The rest was tasty

The food was tasty, but on the pricey side... You didn't get fries and salad as standard, so you had to pay extra for them. No special service. We sat outside on the terrace because the weather was nice. But boringly decorated

The food was tasty, but the service was mediocre. The service received us with little enthusiasm. We had made a reservation, but unfortunately there was no table with three chairs ready for us. We were able to remove these somewhere and add them ourselves. Our food did not come at the same time but came 5 minutes apart. I also thought the price was on the high side. 25 euros for a sirloin steak (with a few loose vegetables) without fries or salad. This still needs to be ordered again.

We hebben hier heerlijk gegeten, we kregen een plekje op het terras omdat t een mooie avond was. Vriendelijke bediening die goed luisterde naar onze wensen. Vooral de spare Ribs waren voortreffelijk zo mals en heerlijk gekruid.. Voor en nagerecht waren ook erg goed.

Na onze geregistreerde partnerschap hebben we een high tea gehad bij Bisou. Ze gingen eerder voor ons open omdat we in de ochtend naar gemeentehuis gingen en normaliter is een high tea smiddags. Het was een heerlijke high tea aan een mooie opgedekte tafel. Genoeg keuze van zoet en hartig en veel soorten thee. Ook voor mensen die koffie drinken, zoals ik. Echt een aanbeveling om daar heen te gaan.

Heerlijk gegeten samen: gerookte paprikasoep, zalm / entrecote met crème brulée als dessert. Niels, veel succes als nieuwe eigenaar!

Apparently a good restaurant, but something went wrong with the order. Firstly me and my partner got the wrong burger, he had the normal burger without spicy peppers and I was correct that it would be spicy. And the burger that was spicy was the wrong one. Not the big mick spicy but another one that should have bacon on it (didn't see any bacon). Furthermore, the server was nice and made sure we had enough to drink. But we only saw the mistake with the burger later on the receipt.

We had dinner here tonight. The food was really tasty, the service very friendly. Attentive at the right time. Absolutely recommended.

We had a very pleasant evening at Bisou. Delicious food in a great atmosphere. The food was just okay, nothing to complain about. Compliments to the staff! Friendly, enthusiastic and attentive. Actually as it should be, but nowadays quite special. We will definitely come back again.

Nice place to sit. Friendly service. The bruschetta beforehand is delicious and slightly different than usual because of the extra onions. Main course nut bread is highly recommended. The salmon is good with a tasty sauce.

Highly recommended if you visit Wageningen. It has a modern design and looks very nice inside, creating a good atmosphere. They serve delicious wines and the food is super tender. Recommended: Satay of the hare and Entrecote. As soon as we visit Wageningen again, we will come back here!

Didnt know that an Apfelstrüdel could taste this good!! Nice quiet and peaceful experience. Good prices, cozy atmosphere. Hid here from the rain. Was planning to go to the bagels and beans across the street which was jampacked with people as usual. Luckily actually, otherwise I would have never found this gem of a place.

Small gezellig restaurant in one of the corner of the main square in Wageningen. Very friendly staff with a very cozy ambience. The menu is rather small but very diverse (with veggie and vegan options). I ordered the small pork ribs and my wife the burger. The food was well presented, very tasty and the portion size was good for one person. The fries were fresh made and tasty. Definitely recommended!

Nice service and delicious food

Extremely bad experience. A vegetable soup that was just a stock cube with some water. Fries that were half burnt and very greasy and salty. Burger was fine. Had to pay 31 euros for food that was too dirty to eat. Really a no go. Would like to find another tent and walk past this one
