They haven't updated the google information, they are currently closed (holiday). We only saw it with the note on the door, but that is of little use in this digital age. A disappointment.

Service vonden wij slecht. We kwamen binnen ,zaten de eigenaars in een hoek . Na plm 8 min werd er gevraagd om iets te drinken...we hadden de kaart al bekeken. Drinken werd neergezet en niet gevraagd of we verder nog iets wilde bestellen./eten.,en de eigenaresse ging weer zitten Er werd hardop met andere klanten over privé dingen gesproken die je zo kon meeluisteren. Na z,on 10 min kwam de eigenaar naar ons toe en ik vroeg om iets te mogen bestellen. Eten was lekker ,toen onze borden werden weggehaald werd er niet gevraagd of we nog iets wilde bestellen of nog iets te drinken. Tijdens ons eten werd er maar over privé situaties gesproken met andere klanten,echt hardop. We zijn na het eten ook meteen gegaan. Niet gezellig ...meer alsof je in een huiskamer zit. De service in het verleden vonden wij beter. Jammer van deze ervaring. Tot nooit meer ziens...1 tip...bespreek jullie privéleven thuis...in eigen kring ,daar is een restaurant/bistro niet voor.

It said they were open today but they weren't. Nothing on the website or on Facebook that they remained closed today. Very disappointing. Who knows, maybe when they are open at the stated opening hours and I can eat there, a better review will come. I understand that cleaning may need to be done after May 4/5, but this is not indicated anywhere on the website or Facebook. As I said: I will definitely come back, but this was a disappointment nonetheless

Blond is geen excuus om niet klantvriendelijk te zijn. We zijn hier niet vaker geweest, maar gaan daar zeker niet meer naar toe. Er zijn ruim voldoende andere gelegenheden in de buurt. Jammer.

This venue has an old-fashioned, cozy interior and is not artificially hip. Feels authentic. The same goes for the food. What makes it special is the service. Always genuinely friendly and thoughtful. Today we were in a bit of a hurry, so we didn't have much time. We asked if it was feasible in terms of food. "no" would also have been an answer and what doesn't work, doesn't work. But our order was taken and that worked out fine. And indeed! Delicious food and I was in the cinema with my son on time. We always leave here happy.

Seriously, this is the place to be for a nice lunch, not too expensive, delicious sandwiches and good pea soup. Nothing from a can or package, but everything made by the chef himself.

Mijn dochter had een meeloop dag op de universiteit dus moest ik noodgedwongen een dag in wageningen doorbrengen,eerste gedachte was koffie met iets lekkers erbij en zodoende terechtgekomen bij grand cafe suisse,de koffie met gebak was heerlijk dus dat was al geslaagd. Daarna tussen de middag daar ook een hapje gegeten,broodje warm vlees en als toetje een warme chocomelk met slagroom,,ook meer dan geslaagd,echt een heerlijk broodje. Kortom grand cafe suisse is wat mij betreft een aanrader,ga er ook zeker weer komen,ook nog even een dikke pluim voor de ontzettend aardige mevrouw die bedient ,echt top !!

Picked up here for the 1st time today. What nice people! We had the sole fitlet, it was really delicious! And certainly all the side dishes! You feel that the food is cooked with love! Immediately ordered a takeaway for next week! We would also like to come and eat on site soon. As soon as possible again...

Omdat ik aan de vroege kant was (met de bus gekomen) ben ik hier even naar binnen gelopen voor een kop koffie. Eénmaal binnen, terwijl ik de bar bekeek en ik niet vies ben van een alcoholisch drankje dacht ik: "laat ik een Irish coffee bestellen, eens kijken wat ze hier van maken, zowel van de drank als van de prijs". Dat is dus zeker niet tegengevallen. Ik meen dat de prijs € 6,- ofzo was, dus héél weinig geld voor zo'n goede Irish coffee: Echte Irish whisky en échte slagroom, geen spuitbussenzooi. Mijn complimenten, als dit goed was moet de rest ook goed zijn...

A nice place in Wageningen where everyone can come, young and old, student, working or retired. The price-quality ratio is great and the staff is friendly and helpful! One of my favorite lunch spots in Wageningen.

Best in Wageningen for apple pie. Family business. Informal. Well-lived. Cuisine classic style meat, fish and vegetarian. Reproductions of Corneille, among others, decorate the restaurant.

Delicious food and super service. The location in a shopping street and you see everything. The audience varies from young and old and the elderly are also entitled to a day out. The comment below is therefore very inappropriate for the elderly. From now on, look for a teenager's place and have respect for others. We enjoyed it and no, we are not elderly ;)

The food is fine, not very special. The interior is a bit old-fashioned with unpleasant lighting. The café is mainly filled with elderly people (not necessarily a negative thing). It is a quiet place without loud music and such. The staff is also very friendly.
