A truly cozy cafe. Delicious food, and the monthly menu is highly recommended. And what friendly staff!

Great place to eat and drink. Service is friendly but sometimes a bit slow. The food wasn't exceptional, but it was simply delicious—a good match for the price.

Great cafe. Luckily, we had made a reservation (the Monday after Christmas); the place was packed. No problem for the staff or the kitchen. It is noisy, though. A decent selection for vegetarians. Otherwise, no fuss.

A very cozy and pleasant cafe with an extensive menu. Reasonable prices and good quality. Delicious dishes. Service was not very professional. The waitress dropped two glasses of red wine from the tray... on clothes. We received wine for free, but there was no suggestion or offer to reimburse dry cleaning costs... The waitstaff also frequently dropped cutlery. The good atmosphere and delicious food made up for it.

Very cozy and a good restaurant. One of the best in Wageningen.

We ate here with 12 people. The food itself was fine, but we didn't receive the fries we ordered. The grand dessert was served on three plates without any extra spoons or plates. We were forced to eat from the same plate with our own spoons, which is definitely not hygienic! The toilets are also definitely not hygienic. So there's room for improvement, so I wouldn't recommend it.

At the very last minute, I asked Onder de Linden if I could still go with a group of 10 that evening (on a Saturday night!! 🥴). They were very helpful and offered me the opportunity to make a reservation at their cafe, H41. The food at both Onder de Linden and H41 was DELICIOUS; the service was very friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable!! I'm a very picky person, but the pork tenderloin at H41 with (fresh) mushroom sauce was really good! I highly recommend the Falafel-Hummus-Grilled Vegetable Sourdough Sandwich at Onder de Linden! Now I'm sad I don't live nearby😅

Perhaps the best choice for food and beer in this small town. The shops are limited so the choices are limited. This place is always crowded. Nice warm atmosphere and excellent soup!!! Variety of beers. The schnitzel comes with fries and salad.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Duo of Deer and Kangaroo with the delicious H41 sauce!! 😍

Been here many times and every time the food is consistent and very yummy! My favourite order is surf and turf and most recently the one with venison and kangaroo

We had dinner together as part of a meeting. Everything went perfectly, and the pork satay was exceptionally good.

In good weather they should turn on the air conditioning.

Cozy cafe, good food and affordable.

Soest has "Het Lykje", Wageningen has H41. Even if you are alone and just want a nice bite, this can be a great alternative. Very cozy atmosphere, great service and they even have space for people who just want to enjoy a great meal on their own. For me, H41 has become a concept.

Been a regular customer for a number of years now. Cozy, affordable, great service and nice courtyard. Delicious food for a competitive price. You often have to make a reservation in time, even during the week they are popular and therefore often busy.

One of my favourite places in Wageningen. Amazing food and service. The chef prepared a special dish for me (lean beef steak and steamed potatoes, see in the pic attached) due to my severe food allergies and intolerances. He was incredibly accommodating and polite. Highly recommended, also for a drink or two!

Went here for the 2nd time in November, service was very poor. Food was good and came quickly, but we had to wait a very long time for dessert, 30 minutes. Customers who sat next to us and had ordered dessert at least 15 minutes later received it much sooner, but yes, she was a former staff member with children who do not know how to behave, running and screaming. In August when we FIRST came for this, it was much better: one 9, now not even one 2. The owner all said sorry and even noticed that it had not gone well and had taken far too long. Not recommended anymore, many people recommended it then and now advise against it. Owner NOT suitable to run a business. I worked in the catering industry for many years

Good service and menu. Was busy on a Friday evening but we found a table for 4 and it was not too noisy. Good atmosphere. My wife’s cousin went to university in Wageningen and says the place has barely changed in the 45 years since. Only order the large ribs if you are REALLY hungry.

We last ate at H41 almost 30 years ago. Same atmosphere and appearance. Very nice. Food was great, the only thing that has changed with the times.

Very good restaurant, the Schnitzel with mushrooms is delicious and the Creme Broule is also delicious. The waiters are super friendly.

Great tent, but they are behind the times smoking on the terrace. You are already going to eat inside, but the smoke still comes in over your food, which is a shame

In terms of atmosphere it was on the busy side. All the tables were quite close together, but I didn't find it really disturbing. The food was really tasty. I had the Kangaroo steak and it was very tasty. The service was good. It's a shame that they barely looked in our direction when we wanted to order something, but yes.

Pub meals with a cosy court yard

It was very pleasant - we received friendly help and had a delicious meal; the meal salad with warm goat cheese was very large/too large. The gingerbread nuts also tasted good. Worth repeating. (Hope we weren't too loud/bold and are still welcome).

We were sent here by someone who said it was very nice and cozy here. That wasn't a lie! We were taken to a high table and were helped well. I asked for a stool with a backrest and that was immediately done for me, really great! The food is tasty and filling, especially the steak is super tender! The staff is nice, helpful and fast! In short, a nice and cozy place for a snack and/or drink

A few drinks, but suddenly bitterballen was no longer possible and "we're going to clear the tables soon..." Great place for an informal dinner

A very cozy place to have dinner with friends and has plenty of options to choose from! We had different dietary preferences and were very happy with what we got. Service was also top notch! Will definitely visit again another time :)

We ate there again out of nostalgia after many years. That was the last time I'm afraid. The wild boar ragout had little taste. The steak that was ordered rare medium was well done. A pro secco in advance, the bottle was placed closed on the table, opening and pouring was left to us. We got the food before the pro secco was finished. Even though we had indicated that it should not come too quickly, they came to record it before we had the pro secco. Finally, the desert was placed next to me instead of in front of me. No, unfortunately, this was not a good experience.

!NEVER GO HERE WITH A BIG GROUP! On October 21, we had dinner here with 14 people, but we were served stone cold and undercooked main courses. In addition, one of us suffered food poisoning, we reported all this and we were supposed to be called back, but this did not happen. After calling back, we were told that it was not the food, but that the person in question probably has an allergy. It's unbelievable how we don't get any compensation for undercooked and stone cold main courses and food poisoning! The first experiences at H41 were very good, but after this evening I will never come here again, which is a shame.

Ambiance is nice, although the mostly cozy feeling can edge towards crowdedness for some. Food is of a good quality, I particularly enjoyed the vegetarian burger and the steak. Overall, a nice place to visit once in a while.

H41 is a super cozy and delicious restaurant. I've been there several times now and it's been a fun, tasty experience every time. I highly recommend the steak. I've never had a bad steak there.

What a nice surprise! Ended up here by chance but haven't regretted it for a second. H41 (Herenstraat 41) has the appearance of a brown café and has just as much atmosphere. The service is very friendly and helpful and also fast. The menu is varied and the food was excellently prepared, with our own 'H41 sauce' highly recommended. The local 'Wageningen Blondje' is also recommended for wheat beer lovers. The price was, in our opinion, not too bad. Recommended!
