Restaurant Eemlust in Wijk 01 Baarn-Noord, Eemdal en Eemland

Yesterday at Eemlust again, always a success. Bisque in a very large bowl, nicely filled though, good flavor, though could use a little less whipped cream. Tuna steak perfect. Desserts were all freshly made, which is why crème brûlée was sold out (my second choice); pannacotta was very tasty. When the bill arrived, I pointed out to the waiter that a bottle of Pellegrino had been undercharged. That turned out to be a compensation because the main course took so long. It is true that we had to wait a veeeery long time and our party was starting to run out of wine, and then a free glass of water! We were an international group and I had to laugh about it; typical Dutch stinginess/clumsiness. Just pour another glass of wine then, I would say. Service otherwise top-notch, and a good tip was truly deserved.

We ate here on a Friday evening. (31-7-2026) Unfortunately, it was very disappointing, especially the service was poor; we were barely seen, we weren't asked if everything was to our liking, and we had to wait 50 minutes after dessert before the table was cleared and we could order coffee. Around the time we went for coffee, there were a lot of mice running around (somewhat understandable near the water, but it's far from pleasant). Regarding the food, we indicated in advance when making a reservation that we were with someone in our party who eats gluten-free. Once we had our drinks and received a bread roll, we had to ask separately for something gluten-free to go with it. You get bread with only butter, not everyone likes that. Next, a fine starter; the main course was a very small piece of meat, and once again the person with gluten was supposed to get potatoes instead of fries because this wasn't gluten-free, yet fries were served. Dessert was okay, but the Eton mess was tasteless, seemed like it was sugar-free. So after that, we had to wait 50 minutes before anyone even looked at us and came to clear the table. In the meantime, no one asked if we wanted drinks or if everything was to our liking. For the money we spent, it was worthless.

The 2 lunch dishes were very tasty, service was very good. Prompt and friendly. Highly recommended. Suggestion: give some sunscreen to people who can no longer sit in the shade in this hot weather. Don't expect anyone and it's a nice extra service that costs nothing 😉.

The lunches are fine, but I do not recommend the dinner. The starters, in small portions, are even less than an amuse-bouche. The meat dishes at dinner are very mediocre, unseasoned, with forgotten vegetables—and I mean literally forgotten: a lettuce leaf, a carrot. The cheese board is shameful in terms of variety and size. The portion of fries consists of a small bowl of tiny potato pieces of no more than 3 cm. No tasty long French fries. To end on a positive note: compliments to the young lady serving.

Beautiful location but very mediocre food.

The manager is really great! He wished me a happy birthday for the second time after his shift. But the waitstaff who gave me the wrong drink was truly rude. He rolled his eyes and the irritation was dripping off him. We also had to wait a long time for the table to be cleared after our main course. Eventually, we left the dirty table and paid without dessert. That was handled without manners too; no one looked at us and the lady who handled the bill walked away without saying a word. Shame, we won't be eating here again!

Nice spot right near the A1 exit, lovely by the water, good parking. The food is also good. Prices are reasonable, fried eggs around 9 euros.

Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience. After a delicious starter, we were served a cold main course. After pointing this out, it was warmed up, but it was tough. Because we did not have a dedicated waiter, no one took the trouble to resolve the issue. Very unfortunate.

3 stars, the place is okay. But you aren't allowed to smoke anywhere there. Strange that alcohol is served in a restaurant where children are walking around. People often get into cars at restaurants after having a drink. If you want to position yourself against smokers like that, you should also start thinking about the problems society faces because of the alcohol served here. Then you are really doing a great job.

What a fantastic place Eemlust is! From the moment you walk in, you immediately feel welcome. The hospitality is genuine, friendly, and personal. The staff goes to great lengths to ensure you have a wonderful afternoon or evening. The food is truly incredibly delicious. Everything is fresh, prepared with flavor, and beautifully presented. You can tell that attention and love went into the dishes. Every bite was a delight! The atmosphere completes the picture. Located by the beautiful River Eem, with a view over the water, you can truly relax. Whether you come for an extensive lunch, a cozy dinner, or just a drink on the terrace, it is truly a place you will want to return to.

We have been coming here several times and have never been disappointed. Now, once again, a beautiful summer evening, fine attentive service, tasty culinary dishes, and a stunning location by the water. Highly recommended for everyone. Team Eemlust, hats off to you.

Restaurant with a consistently tasty lunch, wonderfully situated by the water. However, in my opinion, the menu could use a bit more variety. Most of the dishes have been around for years.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Restaurant Eemlust in Baarn! From the moment we entered, we were greeted warmly, and everyone immediately felt welcome. The beautiful location by the water creates a relaxed and atmospheric setting, making it a true night out. The food was excellent. The dishes were flavorful, beautifully presented, and clearly prepared with care. There was plenty of choice for both adults and children, and everything served was of high quality. What made our evening extra special was the attention given to the children. As a surprise, they were allowed to make their own dessert in the kitchen. They thought that was fantastic! They set to work with great enthusiasm and returned proudly with their own creation. It was wonderful to see how much fun they were having, and it made the experience truly unique for us as a family. You don't see this kind of personal attention everywhere, and it is greatly appreciated. The service also deserves a big compliment. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful. Despite the busyness, they took the time for a chat and ensured that everyone had a wonderful evening. We highly recommend Restaurant Eemlust. Delicious food, a beautiful location, excellent service, and an unforgettable experience for the children. We will definitely come back here again!

Excellent kitchen and staff. They ad-hoc perform amazing dishes, for instance if you require diet or allergic specific food choices. Also great for meetings.

Too few menus. Had to wait until other guests had made their choice. Not enough meat purchased. At 6:00 PM we were told that we could no longer make a choice from that. Lots of fish dishes though, a bit of a shame. The chosen menu was delicious.

Beautiful summer evening, ordered a beer and a glass of wine... We had also ordered a portion of bitterballen, but that was served simultaneously with the main course. Let's just say... very odd! As for the 2 menus, it was edible, but that is about all there is to say... it was lukewarm/cold... I mentioned this to the wait staff as well... they wanted to reheat it or bring warm mushrooms, but that’s the end of it for me/us; I don't feel like having your plate taken away again... it isn't that difficult to serve hot food. The drinks and bitterballen were taken off the bill, but the feeling of a pleasant meal was gone instantly.

Beautiful location on the Eem. Friendly service. The cappuccino was good, however, the apple pie tasted like it came straight from the freezer. Still very cold, resulting in a loss of flavor. The meringue (albeit very large) was also less flavorful. You would expect better at this location.

Had a delicious meal! Really good. The bread beforehand was a bit meager (1 piece per person). You only find out you're allowed to have some more when you pick up your order. The coffee afterwards held a pleasant surprise! In short; highly recommended!

We arrived on Saturday without a reservation; despite the crowds, we were received incredibly warmly and were even given a table for two! We were helped tremendously by the hostess for the evening, and had a delicious meal. The dishes are well-balanced in terms of taste and texture, the atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed, and the side dishes, such as the bread rolls beforehand and the dessert platter afterwards, are also truly delicious. It is quite a drive, but we will certainly come back here again!

The service was bad, servers were ignoring.

We dined here on Christmas Day. A varied menu required us to specify in advance whether we wanted meat, fish, or vegetarian, as well as our dessert preference. It was a set menu. After a pleasant welcome, we were first asked to confirm our choices. This was helpful, as the dessert selection hadn't been properly communicated. All courses were beautifully presented. The portions weren't large, but by the end of the meal, our bellies were pleasantly full. Overall, every course was delicious, some a little less so (the duck beetle tarte tatin could have been less sweet for me), some a little more so (the potato truffle velouté and the tournedos), but that depends on personal taste. The preparation was excellent. The interior had a Christmassy feel without being overdone. What we didn't like was that a rather noisy group of people at the next table, clearly acquaintances of the staff, were sitting there. There was loud conversation, which the staff contributed to. We would have preferred less of this, as it meant we could barely hear each other at times.

My partner and I dined at Eemlust on a Saturday evening. We've been here before with family, and the atmosphere is lovely! The service was polite and friendly. The portions were generous, and the time between courses was perfectly timed! Definitely recommended, and a great location in the heart of the country :)

We were disappointed by Eemlust. We'd heard good things from friends, but unfortunately, our experience was different. We love oysters and therefore ordered four oysters in advance, two of which were bizarrely small (the size of a 10-cent coin). The waitress asked if the oysters were good. I then pointed out that two of the four oysters were tiny. She agreed, and she noticed it when serving them. She went to mention it to the kitchen, but didn't mention it again. The starters were delicious. My partner's main course was disappointing; the portion was too small for a main course and not very flavorful (beef cheek). The mussels were fine. Dessert was also fine. We asked for the bill, but it never arrived. So we had to go to the cash register ourselves. When paying, I again mentioned that we were getting two mini oysters, and those two were subsequently removed from the bill. However, it later turned out that the oysters had been overpriced, €6 each instead of €4.50, as stated on the menu. All in all, we didn't have a good feeling about it. No more Eemlust for us in the future.

Eemlust is still one of the best restaurants here in Baarn! I come here regularly, and every time I eat, I leave satisfied. They also handle large groups well; this time we had 14 people, and everything arrived promptly, at the same time, and was hot. One thing to keep in mind is that the menu is adapted for large groups, with fewer options. The location is fantastic along the Eem River, and the restaurant is very popular.

Delicious food, the tents outside can be a bit uninviting when it's raining heavily. Luckily, we finished our food just in time! It was delicious!

The food is incredibly good, compliments. We ate there last Saturday; the atmosphere is great, it's right on the water, and the view is beautiful. The service is also excellent; they're there for you immediately and always in sight. Compliments!!

Little food for a lot of money, We don't do that anymore!!

Beautiful spot right on the water with a charming atmosphere. The staff is a bit disinterested. Serving a Caesar salad with young leaves and frisée lettuce instead of romaine is an absolute no-go. And so little dressing that it becomes a dry mess. You clearly don't understand what a restaurant is about. The couscous salad is fine, but also very dry. This could really be much better!

We thoroughly enjoyed a delicious lunch. Both the 12-hour meal and the tuna sandwich were excellent. We'll definitely be back.

I love eating here because it's great, the staff is professional and very friendly, and it's within walking distance for us. But it would be nice if the portions were a bit larger, and the enormous bonbon tower with the coffee afterward returned. I understand that everything is getting more expensive. But this is why I eat out, and why I come to you. I'm happy to pay more for it.

It is the great average…. A sticky steak tartare with little taste and a lot of mayonnaise in it….looks like a rabbit that was hit by a car along the highway. A lamb steak (just barely any taste) with an onion tarte tatin…. Maybe go to France sometime to see what such a tarte looks like… The service seems like a job for hire, it all goes so fast…. And then still very adult prices…. In short, it will not be my restaurant

This time the food wasn't great, the service was slow, yes it was busy but could really be much better and other times it was also better. And unfortunately: I understand you eat in a kind of in a tent but there are a lot of mice running around at the end of the evening, just can't. Service acted as if it was very normal.

At Eemlust you are guaranteed to enjoy yourself. It is not without reason that getting a table for lunch at the last minute is not self-evident - it is often full, so if you do manage to get one, it is doubly enjoyable. A good menu, sufficient variation. A nice wine list. Friendly service. A nice place on the Eem, where we will definitely moor this summer (Eemlust has a jetty on the terrace for the sailors among us) for a bit of pampering

Very nicely situated on the Eems. Delicious food. On Ascension Day there was just a spot for us.

Update: after a year we went to eat at Eemlust again. The floor manager has everything under control. But it's still not quite right. The portions are very small, the food was not warm. They don't let you taste the wine. The aperitif glasses were only half full. We were compensated with a free bottle of wine. We had a nice evening, but there is still a lot of room for improvement. Staff is great and friendly, the ambiance inside is cozy. We were a bit unlucky with the oysters (got food poisoning from it) but the onion soup was delicious. The deer steak was a bit tough and the sushimi not very tasty. We had a nice evening but the food could have been better. Too bad

With my sister a bit later around 19.30 we ate here. What a super cool atmosphere. Fantastic food and great attentive and cheerful service. And a super nice location on the water. I would like to come here again. Highly recommended.

Wow, discovered another beautiful place. If you also sit by the window you can look out over the water. A really beautiful place with a luxurious appearance and friendly staff who think along. What I like so much about Eemlust is that within the employees everyone is and is allowed to be completely themselves. The authenticity of the employees is palpable. The team works together in a casual, relaxed but respectful way and the interaction with the guests is casual but respectful. There is an eye for detail and personal attention. Unique. Furthermore, the food is of excellent quality and personal wishes and preferences are taken into account in a natural way. Highly recommended.

Super friendly service and they had an eye on everything ✅ empty glasses quickly full again, cup of coffee and address to stop again easy to quickly get up and out of the car driveway and in summer it's super fun to sit by the water 🍀👉 but then a reservation will be a must I guess 🤩
