Restaurant Eemlust in Wijk 01 Baarn-Noord, Eemdal en Eemland

We dined here on Christmas Day. A varied menu required us to specify in advance whether we wanted meat, fish, or vegetarian, as well as our dessert preference. It was a set menu. After a pleasant welcome, we were first asked to confirm our choices. This was helpful, as the dessert selection hadn't been properly communicated. All courses were beautifully presented. The portions weren't large, but by the end of the meal, our bellies were pleasantly full. Overall, every course was delicious, some a little less so (the duck beetle tarte tatin could have been less sweet for me), some a little more so (the potato truffle velouté and the tournedos), but that depends on personal taste. The preparation was excellent. The interior had a Christmassy feel without being overdone. What we didn't like was that a rather noisy group of people at the next table, clearly acquaintances of the staff, were sitting there. There was loud conversation, which the staff contributed to. We would have preferred less of this, as it meant we could barely hear each other at times.

My partner and I dined at Eemlust on a Saturday evening. We've been here before with family, and the atmosphere is lovely! The service was polite and friendly. The portions were generous, and the time between courses was perfectly timed! Definitely recommended, and a great location in the heart of the country :)

We were disappointed by Eemlust. We'd heard good things from friends, but unfortunately, our experience was different. We love oysters and therefore ordered four oysters in advance, two of which were bizarrely small (the size of a 10-cent coin). The waitress asked if the oysters were good. I then pointed out that two of the four oysters were tiny. She agreed, and she noticed it when serving them. She went to mention it to the kitchen, but didn't mention it again. The starters were delicious. My partner's main course was disappointing; the portion was too small for a main course and not very flavorful (beef cheek). The mussels were fine. Dessert was also fine. We asked for the bill, but it never arrived. So we had to go to the cash register ourselves. When paying, I again mentioned that we were getting two mini oysters, and those two were subsequently removed from the bill. However, it later turned out that the oysters had been overpriced, €6 each instead of €4.50, as stated on the menu. All in all, we didn't have a good feeling about it. No more Eemlust for us in the future.

Eemlust is still one of the best restaurants here in Baarn! I come here regularly, and every time I eat, I leave satisfied. They also handle large groups well; this time we had 14 people, and everything arrived promptly, at the same time, and was hot. One thing to keep in mind is that the menu is adapted for large groups, with fewer options. The location is fantastic along the Eem River, and the restaurant is very popular.

Delicious food, the tents outside can be a bit uninviting when it's raining heavily. Luckily, we finished our food just in time! It was delicious!

The food is incredibly good, compliments. We ate there last Saturday; the atmosphere is great, it's right on the water, and the view is beautiful. The service is also excellent; they're there for you immediately and always in sight. Compliments!!

Lovely waterfront location. Easily accessible. Friendly staff who are happy to help (we didn't have a reservation, just popped in for coffee; a nice table for two was quickly made available. Fantastic!)

Little food for a lot of money, We don't do that anymore!!

Beautiful spot right on the water with a charming atmosphere. The staff is a bit disinterested. Serving a Caesar salad with young leaves and frisée lettuce instead of romaine is an absolute no-go. And so little dressing that it becomes a dry mess. You clearly don't understand what a restaurant is about. The couscous salad is fine, but also very dry. This could really be much better!

We thoroughly enjoyed a delicious lunch. Both the 12-hour meal and the tuna sandwich were excellent. We'll definitely be back.

I love eating here because it's great, the staff is professional and very friendly, and it's within walking distance for us. But it would be nice if the portions were a bit larger, and the enormous bonbon tower with the coffee afterward returned. I understand that everything is getting more expensive. But this is why I eat out, and why I come to you. I'm happy to pay more for it.

It is the great average…. A sticky steak tartare with little taste and a lot of mayonnaise in it….looks like a rabbit that was hit by a car along the highway. A lamb steak (just barely any taste) with an onion tarte tatin…. Maybe go to France sometime to see what such a tarte looks like… The service seems like a job for hire, it all goes so fast…. And then still very adult prices…. In short, it will not be my restaurant

This time the food wasn't great, the service was slow, yes it was busy but could really be much better and other times it was also better. And unfortunately: I understand you eat in a kind of in a tent but there are a lot of mice running around at the end of the evening, just can't. Service acted as if it was very normal.

At Eemlust you are guaranteed to enjoy yourself. It is not without reason that getting a table for lunch at the last minute is not self-evident - it is often full, so if you do manage to get one, it is doubly enjoyable. A good menu, sufficient variation. A nice wine list. Friendly service. A nice place on the Eem, where we will definitely moor this summer (Eemlust has a jetty on the terrace for the sailors among us) for a bit of pampering

Very nicely situated on the Eems. Delicious food. On Ascension Day there was just a spot for us.

Update: after a year we went to eat at Eemlust again. The floor manager has everything under control. But it's still not quite right. The portions are very small, the food was not warm. They don't let you taste the wine. The aperitif glasses were only half full. We were compensated with a free bottle of wine. We had a nice evening, but there is still a lot of room for improvement. Staff is great and friendly, the ambiance inside is cozy. We were a bit unlucky with the oysters (got food poisoning from it) but the onion soup was delicious. The deer steak was a bit tough and the sushimi not very tasty. We had a nice evening but the food could have been better. Too bad

With my sister a bit later around 19.30 we ate here. What a super cool atmosphere. Fantastic food and great attentive and cheerful service. And a super nice location on the water. I would like to come here again. Highly recommended.

Nice place on the water. We sat on the terrace, very tasty snacks and a very nice wine list! (Champagne by the glass, and nice unusual options such as a nice Arnais).

What I like so much about Eemlust is that within the employees everyone is and is allowed to be completely themselves. The authenticity of the employees is palpable. The team works together in a casual, relaxed but respectful way and the interaction with the guests is casual but respectful. There is an eye for detail and personal attention. Unique. Furthermore, the food is of excellent quality and personal wishes and preferences are taken into account in a natural way. Highly recommended.

Had a delicious lunch and an excellent salad with the addition of 🐔 chicken. Super friendly service and they had an eye on everything ✅ empty glasses quickly full again, cup of coffee and address to stop again easy to quickly get up and out of the car driveway and in summer it's super fun to sit by the water 🍀👉 but then a reservation will be a must I guess 🤩

Great place, good food. Not cheap, but worth it.

To be honest, the '12 hours' was a bit disappointing. Not a piece of bread with the soup and a scant slice of cheese on bread. Maybe our expectations were too high.

I came by with my father (86, with great difficulty entering with a walker) for a cup of coffee on Sunday at 3.45 pm (!). We were told that this was not possible because it was busy and they would start setting up for dinner at 4pm. This boy probably had his instructions, but in this case it would have been nice to consult with the manager. 20 minutes for a cup of coffee probably could have been... But we really had to turn around. Very inhospitable unfortunately!

Delicious and atmospheric food.

I had a delicious starter here, I went for the beef tataki which was very tasty, nice combination with the pieces of mango. Main course was salmon that was well cooked, beetroot also very tasty. I also got to taste a piece of the steak that was cooked medium as desired and it turned out well. The sweet potato fries were also a hit. We skipped dessert but had a Pornstar Martini instead. That wasn't a bad choice.

Drove by on the pof last night....what a cozy atmosphere and delicious food. If we are in the area again we will definitely come again.....but make a reservation first I think. Now without a reservation, a lucky break for the two of us. Thank you folks.

Saturday evening October 19 had dinner with our family. There was a large group in the side room. Congratulations on how the service and the kitchen managed to provide our table with 5 beautiful different starters and main courses. After delicious desserts we went home very satisfied 🫶🏼🥂👍

This afternoon I had lunch here with my brothers, sisters, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Everything was in perfect order. Friendly staff, delicious food and excellent value for money! Everyone was very satisfied! We will definitely come back!

A beautiful place on the water where we wanted to have a drink after a long motorcycle ride to complete our day. Unfortunately a full terrace which can happen with this nice weather. But the rather arrogant attitude of the host at the door left a bad taste in our mouths. Was it because we didn't fit in with the well-dressed guests in our motorcycle clothing? We don't know, but that was the feeling we got. Shame

Delicious food on the water, friendly service

Celebrated a birthday on board a ship from the appetite shipping company... the ship looked great... service from the ladies was excellent. I personally liked the food less. The hussar salad was good but unfortunately the hot dishes were not warm. I didn't like the chicken satay itself and it was in fact large pieces of fried chicken fillet with satay sauce on top. Sukade was tasty but unfortunately cold. The pieces with salmon did not look tasty to me and I ignored them... on the other hand, the carpaccio was tasty. Sufficient choice of drinks and still the same service with a smile and a chat. Everything else was well organised.

The salad we ordered was substandard. Lots of lettuce and very little filling. Not worth €24.00.

Nice restaurant to eat. The location is beautiful on the Eem. Not too noisy and busy, you can hear each other well. Service is good and smooth. Waited a relatively short time for the dishes. Food is very tasty, although the portions can sometimes be a bit smaller, depending on the dish chosen. The coffee with all kinds of chocolates, fudge and cookies served with it is delicious to end. Definitely recommended for a delicious meal!

It remains a perfect place, when the weather is nice on the terrace with a view over the Eem and the polder. If the service is smooth, friendly and efficient and the food tastes good, then you just want to go there again tomorrow…
