Het Dorsthuys in Wijk 00 Baarn

We had lunch at the Dorsthuys in Baarn. Unfortunately, unlike the previous times we ate there, it was very disappointing. We had an omelette and yes, sorry, the ones I make at home taste much better. Old bread, burnt eggs, not a hint of sour or salad. That was a real disappointment. My wife's tuna salad was also a real disappointment, too wet and old bread. Too bad because we had eaten there earlier in the evening and it tasted good, why such a disappointment now? Was the chef not in good shape or is it a case of a trainee chef who is throwing his hat to it a bit! He/she should know from his training that good quality attracts and retains customers. We may come back for a second chance, but not for the time being, sorry.

We have eaten well here before. Despite not having made a reservation, a table was still available for our group of 4 on Saturday evening. The service was very friendly and the food was also very tasty and of good quality.

Had a nice drink this time, cozy place, nice terrace.

Here in between we had a quick meal, not too big menu, nice service. Because we were in a hurry we took a satay, nicely seasoned and tenderly baked, with it were nicely baked fries bjj served, the mayonnaise was slightly made with curry, good combination.

The owner is very involved in the running of the business, the passion for food is dripping off. Highly recommended!

Cozy terrace, delicious aperitif!

It was busy on the terrace, but nevertheless the service was ok. Unfortunately the food was of inferior quality! Tuna starter was not really defrosted yet and the main course cod fillet had no taste at all. OK for the location and a drink, but not recommended for food🤔🤫

Had a lovely lunch on the cozy terrace with my niece. The service was very good and fun as always.

Tonight we had dinner at the Dorsthuys for the first time with our family. All four of us ordered a different main course and everything was equally delicious. I personally had the risotto which I loved; very refined in taste and beautiful with the different textures. The atmosphere was quiet and felt homely. 5 stars for the service are well deserved because an employee came running behind us in the rain with my wallet that had fallen out of my pocket. Super attentive! We are fans and will definitely come and eat again.

We hebben als vanouds heel goed geten. De bediening is vriendelijk en snel. We komen graag terug. Zowel lunch als diner is het eten zeer goed En wat vooral.aanspreekt is dat de kaart wisselt. Dat zien we niet vaak.

Vriendelijke bediening. Ik had de kalfssucade en die was om je vingers bij af te likken. Lekker mals en goed van smaak. Mijn man had de rumpsteak...ook super.

Fantastic restaurant, delicious food and friendly service. When the wait took a little longer, my son and daughter got the ice cream for free. Tip: some more starters for children on the menu.

Het terras is een mooi plekje. Weinig spannende kaart met geringe keuze. De prijzen zijn relatief hoog voor wat je krijgt: de sate was goed maar het kwakje satesaus was hetzij meegebakken hetzij oud. Donkerbruin en ingedroogd. Klein beetje koolsla uit een potje erbij. Klein bakje halfwarme friet. Nagerecht "Eiskaffee". Niet slecht maar zuinigjes. Bediening amateuristisch: voortdurend aandacht moeten vragen. Wel vriendelijk.

Mediocre dishes with bad service!! On first attempt to have lunch there we wanted to sit in the shade and suggested to move an empty and unreserved table a bit in the shade. Owner of the place told us in very unfriendly tone it wasn’t possible and asked us to leave. Second attempt we took a table inside. Lunch was simple and effective, the service remained hautain, distant and a bit disrespectful. I do not recommend to go here.

Wat een heerlijk ‘ouderwets gezellig’ restaurant is Demmers geworden sinds de nieuwe eigenaar het over heeft genomen.

It's the first time in years that I got real tuna with Nicoise salad. Very tasty.

Not special, but very friendly service.

Gekozen voor een frittata, diamanthaas en een dorade. Lekker op smaak. Goed genoeg om het niveau van eetcafe te ontstijgen, zoals het ernaast gelegen “ de Kerkbrink”. Keus op de kaart is beperkt. Is op zich prima, maar vond bv de frittata voor 18,50 redelijk aan de prijs voor 2 stukjes. Maar goed, zoals gezegd , wel lekker, maar de lat mag iets hoger. Bediening is overigens prima en vriendelijk.

Opted for a frittata, diamond tenderloin and sea bream. Tasty. Good enough to rise above the level of an eatery, such as the adjacent “de Kerkbrink”. Choice on the menu is limited. That's fine in itself, but I thought the frittata, for example, was a reasonable price for 18.50 for 2 pieces. Anyway, as said, it's tasty, but the bar could be a little higher. The service is also excellent and friendly.

Had dinner with my son yesterday. Delicious dishes and a nice ambiance. Careful consideration was given to special dietary requirements and possible alternatives. The friendly staff makes you feel seen and at home. They still understand that catering is a profession that can be done with passion. Cheers! We will definitely come again!

Toevallig hier beland voor de lunch, en daar kun je hier prima voor terecht, net als het diner! Wij namen na een earl grey thee en latte machiato de sateh en de salade eendenborst. En dat was smikkelen ouderwets goed van smaak en kwaliteit. Het was er gezellig druk en je moet er wel reserveren want zodra de zon verschijnt komen de klanten hierop af als vliegen op de stroop. Het eten is er immer heel goed, de locatie prima wat wil je nog meer. Kortom genieten. De prijzen redelijk en de bediening is top en attent. We komen vast snel weer terug!

Had a "bite" there and it was really tasty. Never had this dish before, so it was a surprise. Service was friendly and helpful. A cozy "tent" to sit (and eat). There are plenty of parking spaces in Baarn, also opposite the Dorsthuys. Next week again!!

24-2 ate here with the two of us. Reception was warm, it was pleasantly half full. Service explained the dishes and it quickly became clear that we were going for the "menu". All dishes were delicious, the wine was tasty, the service was friendly. Had a wonderful evening.

Only discovered for the second time now. I am totally in love with this place. Simple, cozy and delicious food. Service was really nice... I am really coming back again. Bye Patricia and Deng

Excellent Pea Soup with rye bread and bacon. One flanked with a beautiful Sauvignon Blanc. Great combination.! View of the atmospheric center of Baarn.

Niet veel keus voor vegetariërs en erg lawaaiig. Kaart is niet heel origineel.

Fantastisch gegeten. Uitstekende service en erg aardig.

Prima diner genoten, ivm met avondwerk in de buurt hier uitgekomen. Fijne gastheer, en gastvrouw, die snappen dat als je aan het werk bent, eten niet lang kan wachten. Mooie gerechten in een fijne ambience. Kom zeker privé nog eens terug!

heerlijk gegeten, alles was overduidelijk vers! Echt heerlijk! Ook de bediening was goed, netjes en vriendelijk. Paar puntjes van kritiek: of je nu alleen was, met 2 of met 3, je kreeg allemaal dezelfde portie friet. En ik miste iets van groente bij de steak. De 3 blaadjes rucola die daar op zaten waren erg karig.

Excellent place for locals and visitors for a drink and some well made food. The service was far above average and is the reason i would come back. 7.5/10

Super bediening!! Na ons glaasje wijn en bij het opdienen van het hoofdgerecht werd ik gebeld vanwege ernstige situatie met mijn moeder. Alle begrip vanuit de eigenaar en hij loste dat zo mooi op. Ik kan alleen nogmaals zeggen; super afgehandeld. En ga vooral genieten van gastvrijheid en lekker eten (want dat weet ik nog van een vorige keer).

Heerlijk gegeten op het gezellige terras. Supervriendelijke bediening, prima wijn, uitstekende prijs-kwaliteitverhouding. Ons nieuwe favoriete restaurant!

Een fijne en gezellige plek om te lunchen of gewoon een kopje cappucino te drinken met een eigen gebakken appeltaart. De eingenaar en zijn team zijn super vriendelijk en behulpzaam . De menu kaart wordt goed uigelegd. Een echte aanrader!!

Gezellige plek. Lekkere biertjes maar nergens staat wat ze hebben. De tuna melt is een aanrader.

Wat een fijne ontvangst van de eigenaar en zijn team. We hebben heerlijk gezeten. De kaart werd uitgebreid uitgelegd aan tafel waardoor het maken van een keuze niet moeilijk was. Vooraf de huisgemaakte knoflooksoep en Zeeuws spek. Super lekker. Als hoofd hadden we lam en de steak tartaar. Alles was goed op smaak en de borden zagen er mooi uit. De wijntjes....heerlijk! Na nog een kaasplankje! Veel persoonlijke aandacht voor de gasten in een volle zaak en dat in een tijd waar horecapersoneel moeilijk te vinden is. Al met al een hele fijne avond gehad bij het Dorsthuys.

Heerlijk gegeten en ontzettend vriendelijk personeel die de gerechten uitgebreid uitleggen. Het wordt mooi gepresenteerd en de ambiance is goed.

wat opvalt bij binnenkomst de ruime opstelling en de vriendelijk ontvangst. We hebben er met vier personen gegeten. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam , geeft goede uitleg over het menu. Goede keuze in bieren en eten, we hebben allemaal wat anders gegeten ,het eten was echt zeer goed. Kortom gezellig en goed eten en je als gast gewaardeerd voelen ? ga dan hier eten
