Restaurant De Kerkbrink B.V. in Wijk 00 Baarn

Nice place and had a delicious lunch. Friendly staff, but it was busy so it took a long time before we could eat.

Don't eat the food here, it's very bad.

It was a bit busy so the service was a bit slow, but the lady clearly wasn't in the mood for work at the start of the week; she came across as grumpy, paid no attention, and was just stared at. Only the manager was nice. The food was fine, a bit basic though, but it wasn't brought until an hour after ordering, while we also didn't get the menu until 15/20 minutes later. People around us who had ordered later got their food much earlier. We had expected an apology, but nothing came of it; it was placed down as if nothing was wrong and quickly turned away. All in all, a bad experience, unfortunately.

I am sure this is a lovely place but I saw a post by the chef Micheal Vanderheiden who said he worked at Grandcafe De Kerkbrink on Instagram calling someone a freak because she had keloids on her ears? Just seems kind of odd for someone to post on there personal account about, especially when working at such a high quality place. So not sure if that was intentional but I wouldn't want to eat somewhere where the chef is a bully online because my assumption is if you are rude online you are likely rude in person. However, change is always in human nature so maybe this doesn't reflect the current Mr.Vanderheidens perspective.

From the moment we stepped inside, we felt incredibly welcome. The hospitality is truly radiant, and the service is incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring you can dine at your leisure. We started with a delicious bread board as an appetizer. For the main course, we had the spareribs — incredibly tender and well-seasoned — and salmon, which was prepared fantastically. We finished with the chef's dessert, a delicious crème brûlée with a perfectly crispy sugar layer. As the icing on the cake, our dog was also allowed to come inside with us, making it a complete and carefree evening out for us.

Had a delicious meal for a good price. Friendly service.

After over a week camping with scouts after all the kids left 10 of us leaders went for a meal here and we couldn't of wished for a better evening on our last night. The food was fantastic and the waitress was amazing! A great laugh and great food!

Delicious food, nice atmosphere

We had to. Waited a bit long, but everything else was excellent.

Super tasty and not too expensive.

Just had a drink on the terrace. Pleasant service.

Wonderful place to eat. Great for people watch on the town square and great food.

Had a delicious lunch on a lovely terrace.

Coffee with a delicious spicy toastie, good lunch

No-nonsense café-restaurant with table service. Changing weekly specials. Tasty. Still affordable value for money. Sunny terrace with a view of the village square.

Delicious food and drinks for the average budget.

Top-notch atmosphere! What else would you expect on the sun-drenched terrace on April 25, 2026 🤗😅🤣

Very original lunch menu. Friendly service; the waitress didn't know all the sandwiches, but was service-oriented. Highly recommended: Anthony Bourdain's signature sandwich is available here. Very unique flavors and a sensation for the taste buds. ⭐Official Google Local Guide from Baarn ⭐Google Master reviewer ⭐You can find more about my background and experience with local businesses in my profile. ⭐I share honest experiences to make local entrepreneurs more visible on Google. ⭐I am part of a network of over 1,200 Google Local Guides in the Netherlands. ⭐We share honest experiences to make local businesses more visible on Google. ⭐Would you also like a review? We had made a reservation by phone, but upon arrival, it turned out the reservation was not in the book. We were briefly worried that we wouldn't be able to get a table, but fortunately, there was still one available. We had a delicious meal and generous portions. Worth repeating!

Always a great atmosphere, prompt service, and the food is delicious! Good value for money. 10/10

This is a lovely restaurant. Just a relaxed atmosphere. We had the oxtail tips (rated 9) and the steak (rated 7). The Merlot and Prosecco were delicious, and when we asked if we could have a carafe of (tap) water, we got it in a nice bottle. Well done! (Unlike some restaurants where they more or less force you to take an expensive bottle of branded water.) The fried vegetables were delicious. The staff were friendly. Both restrooms were also clean. The lighting in the bar area could be a bit brighter, because you enjoy food with your eyes as well as your tongue. All in all, a big thumbs-up :-) Thank you. Well, what more could you ask for? :-) * If you find this comment helpful, leave a 🙏 or a ❤️.

Great place for lunch, in our case. Affordable and good menu. Keep it up!

Yesterday we went to Kerkbrink for dinner again. This place is truly fantastic! Delicious food, a wide selection, great prices, and fast service with a smile! It remains the best restaurant on Kerkbrink! Tip: large salad with tenderloin pieces

Cozy restaurant in the center of Baarn. The lunch was tasty and well-prepared. The service is friendly and the decor is cozy.

No frills, cozy atmosphere, good service. What they offer is excellent!

Excellent value for money, almost full on a typical Wednesday evening. Just plain and simple.

The lunch was good. Well-stocked and served quickly. Friendly staff. However, the interior could use some work; it looks like it hasn't been renovated since the 80s. A bit outdated, and maintenance is overdue.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch on the terrace.

Nice sunny terrace. Smooth service, tenderloin tips well prepared with excellent and ample fries. Nice to drop by on a sunny day.

Grand Café De Kerkbrink is more than just a restaurant — it’s the true heart of Baarn, nestled in the picturesque and historic Brink Square. Since its founding in 2000, the café has become an essential part of the town’s culinary scene, beloved by both locals and travelers in search of genuine hospitality and great food. The vision for the café was brought to life by entrepreneur Vincent van der Wardt, who, together with his wife Nicole and a dedicated team, has poured heart and soul into this place from the very beginning. Among the founding members who helped shape its success are Sabine Baum-Block and Head Chef Michael van der Heijden, who have both been part of the team since day one. In 2020, the café celebrated its 20th anniversary, and in 2025 it looks forward to proudly marking 25 years of hospitality. Housed in a building rich with history, Grand Café De Kerkbrink seamlessly blends the charm of heritage architecture with a warm and contemporary interior. It offers a welcoming atmosphere perfect for enjoying freshly brewed coffee with homemade pastries, a relaxing lunch, or a delicious dinner. Families are warmly welcomed, with a special kids’ menu complete with surprises for the little ones. One of the café’s standout features is its spacious, sun-drenched terrace, offering a lovely view of Brink Square. It’s the ideal spot to unwind outdoors in the heart of Baarn — whether with a glass of wine, a cup of coffee, or one of the café’s special craft beers. If you're looking for a place where history, warmth, and quality cuisine come together, Grand Café De Kerkbrink is that cozy corner of Baarn you’ll want to return to again and again.

Food is really delicious! And very fair prices! But a double espresso for €6.00 I have never paid anywhere! 1 minus point :)

Very large delicious veggie burger, even more delicious cheesecake, and then a bill from 10 years ago ❤️

Delicious lunch. Nice service. Top tent.

Had a lovely meal in the conservatory. Ordered a salad with tenderloin and gluten-free bread. The atmosphere was relaxed and warm and the service was great. Compliments to the ladies. I would advise the ladies to give the menu first and then order a drink. Price for quality really 👌 For 2 drinks and lunch we each paid €22.5. Definitely recommended.

Cozy restaurant in the center of Baarn. Excellent lunch menu. Good service!

Always good here. Food is fantastic. The staff here is also very friendly

Good food, excellent beer and friendly service in a cozy atmosphere

Definitely a good meal, good relaxed atmosphere, cheerful and polite service, had a great evening

Good eatery, Delicious dinner tonight, reasonable price, very friendly staff

Been for the first time and certainly not the last time. Very pleasant service, freshly prepared, generous portions, good price quality and a nice atmosphere!

Delicious food!! Also the chef's variation...great! We would love to go back there again!!

Good atmosphere, friendly service, tasty food but not special in choice, small bowl of fries and a thimbleful of mayo for the two of us.

Cozy restaurant and delicious lunch!

It's good, the food is reasonable, the service is okay, the atmosphere is good.

Zijn in uiterlijk wat vernieuwd. Vorige maand buiten gegeten. Prima prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Volgende keer even nadenken voordat ik hier spontaan ga zitten.

Had a very tasty meal here with friends... A pleasant wine and extremely friendly staff... highly recommended... :o)

Great terrace, a bit too busy for service, order sometimes had to wait a little longer or was incorrect. Quite friendly and nice place to sit on the terrace if the weather permits.

Simple and effective. Decent quality and sufficient food. Friendly service that is a bit slow. We ordered apple pie for desert that never came. Did not ruin our experience too much though.

Grab some food and a beer. Relax and try to find the horse

Enjoyed a lovely lunch on the terrace

It is now called the thirst house. Menu changing every week. Really original dishes. No sauces from packets or from wholesale. For example, when wild garlic grew in the forest, a sauce with wild garlic. A different fish every week. And always a cookie for our dog

Had a lovely drink on the terrace!

Ate here on Mother's Day was really great. Nice and friendly staff. Prices are also reasonable. Highly recommended for a pleasant evening out for dinner or drinks.

Tasty food, friendly service, good atmosphere

excellent price-quality ratio, had a nice evening meal

A cozy, lively terrace in the heart of Baarn.

Too bad the pork tenderloin was undercooked and the fries could have been a little longer, they were just on the verge of being done. We heard the kitchen staff say that they hoped it wouldn't be too busy so they could go home on time. Maybe give a little more time to the dish instead of the clock. Otherwise a great store

Highly recommended! Tasty food for a fair price

Well filling generous portions of food. Friendly and quick service, you won't find better anywhere. A homely atmosphere.

Restaurant near the village center of Baarn. Simple menu. Unfriendly service with a sales trick of first taking the drink and then giving the card. You can do that, but it's not what we asked for. Menu is simple and so is the food. The restaurant looks cozy and has a terrace.

Delicious food and good atmosphere and service.

a nice place for good food. the food was tasty and good and in accordance with the price of the dishes. the music was a bit louder than I liked. nothing else to comment on. I will definitely go here again.

Excellent food. Good price-quality ratio. Friendly service. To come back again.

Delicious coffee, pleasant service!

Delicious toasted sandwich. Friendly service.

Always tasty for great prices. Nice (heated) terrace. Friendly service.

We have had several excellent meals in Kerkbrink. Some of the staff have been there for years and it is always a pleasure to see them again. They do have new staff and they are learning the skills but nothing is too much trouble. We recommend this place

Eten is niks mis mee.

Heerlijk koffie gedronken. Leuke bediening.

Heerlijk koffie gedronken met een stuk turcotaart

Terras vol, serre vol, binnen vol!

goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding

Prima

Goede restaurant.

Heerlijk, old fashioned eten en leuke bediening.

Heerlijk kleinschalig restaurant betaalbaar en knus

Eigenlijk weinig op aan te merken. Was lekker eten.

Lekker gelunched op het terras. Voldoende plekken met schaduw.

Lekker eten best behoorlijke keus wij komen er graag vriendelijk personeel

Wat kan je hier heerlijk lunchen. Vriendelijke bediening.
