Restaurant Flicka in Wijk 00 Kerkdriel

Op een zondag tafelen bij "Flicka" is geen straf !! Restaurant eigenlijk doorlopend geopend vanaf 12.30 uur tot in de avond. Hier wordt op zeer hoog niveau gekookt en Thomas van Santfoort behoort tot de beste chefs van ons land. Deze keer geen uitvoerige beschrijving van de gangen (hoewel: rode biet met lavas was een giller als amuse !!!) maar een traan is bij mij en mijn eega nauwelijks te onderdrukken want per 01-01-2026 sluit dit etablissement. Thomas is (en laten we hopen: niet was) een uitzonderlijk talent maar ook de zwarte brigade functioneert uitstekend onder leiding van de charmante Merlijn. Echt een topadres, prachtig gelegen aan de Maas met mooi uitzicht.

Vriendelijke ontvangst. Eerst een alcoholvrij aperitief, was niet heel spectaculair maar wel lekker. We kozen voor 4 gangen menu. De amuses waren geweldig, zowel qua presentatie als qua smaak en samenstelling. De gerechten waren eveneens heel smakelijk. Het hoofdgerecht, zwezerik, vonden we wat droog en niet bijzonder van smaak. De bijpassende wijnen waren goed gekozen. De medewerkers waren professioneel vriendelijk. Prijs/kwaliteit niet helemaal in balans wat ons betreft. Jammer dat er niemand meer te bekennen was toen we weggingen . Ondanks ons meerdere keren roepen richting de keuken.

Proper, timely reply without any chasing.

In one word fantastic, regret not having visited earlier as they are closing this year. Tastes differ but the current menu is completely to our taste, distinct flavours that are wonderfully balanced. In the sun on the terrace beautiful view. It got a bit chilly but we were able to move to a table inside. Small drawbacks which for us just missed 2 stars - with the oyster in my case the ice shavings were too cold/too much and in an otherwise delicious type of spoom part of the ice shavings had even clumped into a lump of ice. - table outside wobbled a bit - on a Sunday evening we expected a few more people, which for someone else might have been a plus. Not that it was empty but a few more people would have had a bit more atmosphere. Atmosphere, friendliness of the service was excellent and another bonus + mention for the sommelier who poured delicious accompanying wines and an attentive friendly/cheerful interaction.

We enjoyed it so much 06-06-2025 it was truly top. Very friendly staff, very good advice for the wines but on 1 the kitchen brigade. Amazing what they know how to create, explosion of flavors, smells and great presentation of the dishes. This is without a doubt a recommendation of the top shelf.

What a wonderful evening! At Flicka you enter a world where not only your taste buds are stimulated, but where the eye, the ear and your curiosity are also fully catered for. The dishes? Sublime. Every plate is a party, with flavours that seek each other out and challenge each other. What makes it really special is the attention to everything around it: the tableware, the atmosphere, the sincere interest. Even the sauce bowl came with a surprisingly nice story. Chef Thomas really took the time, not only to serve top dishes himself, but also to frame them with personal anecdotes. His enthusiasm is infectious, and the way he weaves his family into the story makes it extra personal. As if you are part of his world and his kitchen for a while. Flicka is not an average evening out. It is an experience that lingers. Highly recommended!

Great food! Lots of fish dishes combined with delicious wines. Nice chef who shows himself a lot and talks about the dishes with passion.

What a wonderful weekend we had here! On Saturday Merlijn had arranged bicycles for us and we cycled to Thomas's sister who owns Bommels Buiten. A delicious lunch was served here by Thomas. The rooms were clean, practically furnished and the beds were wonderful! Dinner was surprising, a lot of fish, but delicious. Breakfast also extensive and delicious. Thank you Thomas & Merlijn for thinking along and arranging it. You have a beautiful restaurant and the overnight stay completes it!

As always a friendly welcome. It was our friends' first time in this restaurant and they were very enthusiastic. We had a very tasty meal and enjoyed a good glass of wine. You can get very nice wines by the glass. We will definitely come back.

What a wonderful evening we had. Quality at the highest level at this address, great creations on the plate and your taste buds will be amazed: sea bass, cod, ray wing, pheasant, roe and an extensive fresh dessert, it was overwhelming and incomparably tasty. Great food and service! One of the best Michelin one-star we’ve tried. We loved nearly all courses. The only improvement area I see is that that menu for pescatarian is a bit too “monotonous”, all courses are a piece of fish with something on top, maybe could mix with some shellfish or other vegetables?

No success, price-quality completely out of balance. Menu monotonous, mainly fish with sauce. Wine arrangement no surprising wines. Atmosphere very mediocre. Huge table for 2 people. Not very atmospheric. In short, definitely not recommended for the money.

Without a doubt an optimal experience in terms of dishes and friendly, expert service. Dishes are tasty, beautifully prepared and/or composed. Compliments for the chef 👍🏻

How nice to be the Bob. The Mocktails have a beautiful and exciting taste and are just as good as a good glass of wine. Even the combination with the great dishes was more than fine. Delicious flavor combinations and presented as works of art. I never really want to go back because there is so much to try, but Flicka remains on the list. PS was very happy that my table companion chose matching wines, because the sommelier's explanation of each wine was a joy to listen to.

Restaurant Flicka overtrof al onze verwachtingen! Het restaurant is prachtig ingericht; warm, ruim opgezet en gezellig. Het eten was simpelweg subliem, met verfijnde smaken die ware smaakexplosies creëerden bij elke hap. De heerlijkheden bleven arriveren, vergezeld van uitstekende wijnen die perfect bij elk gerecht pasten. De gastheer en gastvrouwen waren perfect. Ze zagen alles en schakelden moeiteloos van het ene naar het andere tafeltje, en zorgden zo voor een onvergetelijke avond. Een absolute aanrader voor iedereen die op zoek is naar een culinaire topervaring.

We ate and slept here as a surprise for my wife's 40th birthday. It is not a very large restaurant, but tastefully decorated inside. The outside area still deserves a facelift to better match the delicious food and good service. Every course and appetizer was delicious and, above all, surprising. Special flavor combinations and beautifully presented. The wine pairing also matched the dishes well. The food came at a nice pace. In our opinion, the only point of attention would be that the wine is not reserved too long before the meal. Sometimes we were already sitting with an empty or warm glass of wine when the accompanying food arrived. But the food and especially the sauces were so delicious that it made up for a lot. The room we stayed in was neat and spacious. We still enjoyed the wonderful evening there. Price-quality was all in all fine! Thanks!

Last Sunday we went to Flicka. Since the weather was nice, we were pampered on the terrace. Everything is great there; of course the fantastic dishes but also the extremely friendly and correct service. This time we did not go for the "accompanying wines", but selected a few nice bottles with the sommelier. He recommended a Spanish, white, Bierzo that we drank with the first 3 fish dishes; three surprising but delicious wine-food combinations! Many thanks to "team Flicka", we enjoyed it!

I waited weeks to write this review because I know that one slightly negative review can have a big impact on a company. However, you have always been used to honest reviews from me and I will now give them, but please know that my experience is only a snapshot and do not let it influence you too much when making the decision whether you will eat here or not. We had a deluxe package, sleeping in the luxury suite, dinner for 2 and breakfast. Please read the review to the end, that is important. I divide the review into several headings: - To eat - Overnight stay - Breakfast - Service To eat: The first and second dish tasted great to us. But the food was not exciting, innovative or surprising, but after the 2nd dish also not star-worthy in my opinion. I tasted no inspiration in the dishes. This did not apply to the sauces, which were amazing, I still think about them sometimes. Really very good in fact, you just don't come for some sauce unfortunately so it was certainly not enough to compensate for the dishes. In addition to our menu, we ordered an extra dessert, which unfortunately, like the other dishes, was substandard in terms of taste and experience (it also cost €25 separately, which is really on the high side). The wines were excellently paired, and you saw more courage in the choices. Overnight stay: I'll be quite brief about this, this did not give a luxury suite vibe. We entered a very outdated but unfortunately not clean room. TV did not work, ice cold room upon entering, mold in the hot tub, toiletries almost empty, shower drain full of junk and other people's hair so we could only rinse very briefly because the shower tray soon almost overflowed and the hair started to float. Breakfast: Fortunately, the breakfast was really tasty and fresh. We lacked nothing and it was varied and sufficient. Service: The staff was understaffed due to illness, but they did everything they could to ensure that you as a customer did not notice this. They were very friendly, very correct, knowledgeable and really worked hard. We did not have the chef himself at our table and when checking out I had to ask something and he was busy on his phone. Did I indicate what our experience was, I hear you ask, yes we certainly did that with regard to the room, the food is a matter of taste. At checkout I showed photos of our room and the response was "oh we'll definitely take a look at that". I obviously found this a very disappointing response, strange too, I had to pay for everything. Via Instagram, following a post, the owner asked why I would not recommend it. I said that I was happy with the question and took the time to explain everything and substantiate it with photos. She was very shocked and consulted with her team, apparently similar complaints had already been received, but never passed on to her. That is, regardless of what you may think of it, really annoying, but as a customer it is of course not of much use to you. She was very friendly and very affected and I honestly found it really annoying that she had to find out that her room looked like this and that there was so much overdue maintenance. She said she wanted to close the rooms immediately, but they were fully booked so that wasn't possible. Customers would pay a reduced rate from now on. She would still think about how she wanted to accommodate us, a dinner for 2 was very sweetly offered, but given our experience there that was a less appropriate solution. We were also allowed to think about a solution ourselves, as a customer I personally believe that the solution should not come from the customer. I think it would have been most appropriate if she had immediately refunded us the costs of the overnight stay after the whole story. There are many with a very positive experience, so don't be guided by mine alone and know that I wrote this with a big heart for the catering industry. I'm not going to post all the photos of the condition as we found it, that doesn't add anything.

Culinary enjoyment at Filcka on the Dijk In the picturesque rural setting, along the rippling dike, there is a true gem: “Filcka”. This elegant, yet casual restaurant conquered our taste buds for the 2nd time. Filcka effortlessly balances between chic and informal. Filcka's menu is just as balanced. Each dish is a masterpiece in itself. Take the Bloody Mary for example, a classic that comes to life here. Simple, but a true sensation for your taste buds. And then those sauces! They left the kitchen in abundance and returned empty. A sign that the chef knows his trade. The balance between flavors is sublime. We arrived at half past two and were taken on a culinary journey that lasted until 5 o'clock. Fortunately we were not looked out the door. On the contrary, the hospitality was what you can expect at this level. In summary: Filcka offers a great taste experience without too much fuss. Here it's all about love for food, creativity and hospitality. A place with simply very good dishes.

Delicious food, although the portions are small. Good explanation about the wine by the sommelier. The restaurant/toilet and rooms are not accessible for wheelchairs. Steep stairs with handrail on one side. The rooms could use some color. The beds are fine.

We hebben weer n ongelofelijk lekkere belevenis gehad op n zondag middag. Wat n verrassend gerechten met heerlijke wijntjes. Altijd n feestje om bij Flicka te mogen lunchen of dineren. We willen wel n tip meegeven .. Merlijn en Thomas.... grotere parasols.. 30 gr buiten en te kleine parasols om allemaal uit de zon te kunnen zitten. Dat was wat jammer, verder TOP

We kwamen hier via Heerlijkl dineren. Het was een warme, zonnige dag, dus alle tafels werden buiten op het terras bediend. We begonnen de avond met 3 amuse hapjes. Deze waren prima. Daarna volgde de Flicka 'bloody Mary', een frisse amuse van tomaat en bleekselderij. De eerste gang was de Noordzeekrab met thaise salade. Hierin miste ik wel wat frisheid en de Thaise smaken mochten wel wat sterker naar voren komen. De textuur was ook wat weeïg en er mocht wat mij betreft een stuk meer krab in. De heilbot met pompoen die volgde was wel lekker en mooi op smaak. De tussengang met de 63° ei en witte asperge was lekker, maar ik weet niet of de bereiding van het ei er daadwerkelijk iets aan toevoegt. De textuur van het eigeel plakt aan je tanden. Een gepocheerd ei was er denk ik lekkerder bij geweest. Het hoofd met het kalfsvlees was heerlijk. Mals vlees en een mooie jus. Garnituur voegde niet veel toe. Ikzelf sloot af met wat kazen in plaats van het zoete dessert. Hierin kon ik aangeven welk voor soort kazen ik wilde, heel fijn! En nog fijner is dat er verschillende broden en chutneys bij kwamen. Voor mij was dit een goede afsluiter van het geheel. De bijpassende wijnen waren prima. Niet flamboyant, maar gingen prima bij de gerechten. Toch geef ik Flicka maar 3 sterren. Het terras is kil en ongezellig. En de bediening is vriendelijk, maar maakt weinig écht contact. De grechten zijn ok tot prima, maar niet heel spannend. En miste soms een element in smaak en waren ook wat veilig. Vergeleken met andere sterrenzaken valt deze toch een beetje tegen.

Fenomenale smaak-ervaring. Je betaalt wat, maar dan heb je ook wat. Elk gerecht is een verrassing van smaak en verfijning. Als je jezelf wil verwennen dan moet je gewoon een keer gaan eten bij Flicka. Enige opmerking ten negatieve? Zaten wat scheurtjes en vlekjes op het behang, her en der. Dat kan (en voor dat geld: moet) beter. Wat je moet kiezen? Gewoon wat de kok wil serveren. Hij heeft er niet voor niets een Michelin ster mee verworven ... Doe er ook een wijnarrangement bij en bestel een taxi om weer thuis te komen! :)

⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ WoW! Wat een smaken explosie is dit. Wat een mooie zaak en wat een prachtig personeel. Service tot in de puntjes. Niet zomaar wijnen maar net even wat anders maar zo goed passend bij de gerechten. Filcka betekent meisje En dus als de 3de dochter van de eigenaars. Echt een super tent en ga zeker snel terug. Het eten is zo mooi en zo goed samengesteld en de smaken zijn ongelooflijk. Als ik meer sterren kon geven had ik dat gedaan! Dit is echt een aanrader. Mooi terras en leuk uitzicht over de velden. Mooie ruime parkeergelegenheid Ontvangst is fijn Super veel amuses en allemaal heerlijk. Perfecte wijnen echt zo leuk om eens andere wijnen te krijgen. Gerechten zijn super en mooie borden. Binnen ziet er fantastisch uit De wc’s zijn goed verzorgd. De service is echt een 10

Geweldig lekker gegeten, in een superfijne sfeer

Wir waren keine 24 Stunden an dem wunderbaren Örtchen, haben uns aber wie in eine andere Welt entführt gefühlt! Nicht nur die Gerichte sind eine Geschmacksexplosion, auch das ganze Etablissement ist eine Augenweide. Neben dem Überraschungsmenü, das seines gleichen sucht, haben wir in Zimmer 1 übernachten dürfen. Der fast 360 Grad Blick über die Landschaft, die freistehende Badewanne und das King size Bett haben uns einen Gänsehaut Moment beim Betreten des Zimmers verschafft. Wer sich verwöhnen lassen will, ist im Flicka genau richtig.

Het is zeker geen maandelijks tafereeltje maar heb nu wel een leuk aantal fine dining experiences bezocht. Dit is tot nu toe het aller BESTE restaurant waar ik ooit heb gegeten. Het personeel is exceptioneel. Van de timing, de attentheid tot de grapjes. Zeer goed aangepast aan de gast. Subliem. Het eten is ongelofelijk. De combinaties met zuur zijn ongekend. Echt een trade mark van de chef en is in ieder gang terug te vinden in diverse levels. Iedere keer verbluft. Tot aan de friandises aan toe. De wijn combinaties waren spot on.

Fantastisch lekker gegeten. Zonder fratsen. Ons 6-gangen-menu, prachtig opgebouwd, met lekkere bijpassende wijnen. Vriendelijke bediening. Echt een reis waard! Familie Seesink

Voor de tweede keer hier fantastisch gegeten. Prachtige, spannende smaakcombinaties en en een lust voor het oog. Gastronomie in de notendop. Wij komen op korte termijn zeker terug. Jammer dat we nog nooit kennis hebben gemaakt met de chefkok, dat verwacht je toch wel in een sterrenrestaurant.

Heel erg lekker gegeten bij dit intieme en gezellige restaurant. De bediening is geweldig en chefkok Thomas weet van alle gerechten een smaak bommetje te maken. Een regelrechte aanrader.

Een van de beste restaurants waar ik ooit gegeten hebt! Alles klopt! Bediening uitmuntend, uitermate vriendelijk en deskundig. En de keuken is echt elke euro meer dan waard. De chef verdient een standbeeld!

Wij hebben 6 gangen gegeten, met bijpassende wijnen en we zijn blijven slapen in de luxe suite. Heerlijk eten, lekkere wijnen, en een heel fijn bed. Het ontbijt de volgende dag was uitgebreid en erg lekker. Enige minpuntje: we vonden de bediening en sfeer wat stijfjes/formeel.

Dinner on Saturday night, restaurant booked out, good menu (5&6 course options) excellent food, my partner applaud the oysters which is rare so well done. Food was excellent, service & team were on the ball, good value for money for this class of restaurant.( highly recommended,also open for lunch)

Wat een belevenis! Goede sommelier met een uitstekende uitleg over wijnen, keuze van glazen etcetera. Fijne bediening met een oog voor detail. En dan hebben we het nog niet eens gehad over de gerechten! Mijn echtgenote is allergisch voor schaal en schelp dieren maar daar wordt op een hele mooie manier omheen gewerkt. Aangepaste gerechten maar zeker niet minder. Er staan reviews online die praten over een tegoed bon in ruil voor een goede recensie. Persoonlijk vindt ik het erg onwaarschijnlijk. Als je gastronomie bedrijft op dit niveau heb je dit ECHT niet nodig. We hebben er tevens overnacht waar ik erg blij mee was want na het wijn arrangement was rijden een probleem geweest ;) Mooie kamer met een heerlijke jaccuzi. Met s'morgens nog een top ontbijt. We zijn nu al aan het sparen voor het volgende bezoek! Team Flicka bedankt!

Een zaterdag middag in juli, zomaar even het plan opgevat om ons uitgebreid te laten bedienen. En wat een feestje was het bij Flicka: een top 5 gangen menu, met heerlijke wijnen en een zeer attente bediening. Ja, het kost wat, maar dan heb je ook wat. We komen zeker terug!

Wat een geweldig restaurant. Gastvrij en vriendelijk, fijne sfeer en bovenal fantastisch gegeten. Beslist (een keer) doen!

Fantastisch gegeten met perfect opgemaakte gerechten en gecombineerde smaken, goede en vriendelijke bediening en wijnen.

Zonder twijfel kan ik dit restaurant aanbevelen. Het klopt gewoon, gerechten, wijn, sfeer, interieur, zelfs omgeving. Jij kan jou auto dichtbij parkeren. In de zomer heb je een mooie terras om buiten te zitten. Mijn favorieten: Heerlijk carpaccio van rauwe langoustine met wortel, gember en wat magie van de chef ;) Gemarineerde coquille Griet met truffel en artisjok Zeebaars met kalfswang Alles afgewerkt met bijzondere sausen diep en rijk of juist licht en subtiel, afhankelijk van het gerecht. Natuurlijk is alles prachtig geserveerd, niks ontbreekt. Positief verrast door Flicka van Kerkdriel. En nog iets belangrijks - sommelier is echt goed, als je in wijnen geïnteresseerd bent! Heerlijk gegeten!! Wat een kookkunstenaar! Thomas weet hoe je vis en vlees in wonderlijke zeer smaakvolle gerechten kunt maken. Een van ons is vegetarisch, nou ook die gerechten zijn een rit naar Kerkdriel waard! Zeer prettige bediening met gastvrouw Merlijn die wat ons betreft gastvrouw van het jaar mag worden. Dus resulterend, een fantastische culinaire beleving.

Lekker eten, warme ontvangst en een fijne sfeer

Het was heerlijk!! 5 hele mooie gerechten gekregen en de amuse met tonijn was echt een fantastische beleving qua smaak! Wij komen zeker nog eens terug.

Wauw! Wat hebben wij héérlijk gegeten!! Sterrenrestaurant waardig! De smaken waren zo goed in balans. Geen rariteiten waarvan je niet goed weet wat je nu moet proeven, maar wel smaaksensaties. Elk gerecht verraste ons, qua smaak én schoonheid! De champagne en de wijnen waren fantastisch!! Het personeel zorgde verder voor een relaxte sfeer met hun charmante uitleg.
