The basket of baguette with herb butter was tasty. The sea bass had little flavor, potatoes were undercooked. Tasting platter of cod, salmon, and shrimp; only the shrimp were delicious, and the potatoes were also undercooked; the rest had little flavor.

We were with a large group, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; everything was perfectly arranged. Thank you for allowing us to create beautiful memories again.

The previous table guests' belongings were not cleared away, while the staff were standing there chatting amongst themselves. When we left after 40 minutes, it was still there. Waiters accidentally dropped a glass because of a running child, but glassware on the floor was not properly cleaned up. Strange when you are sitting next to a climbing dune and there are so many children walking around barefoot. A shame, because it is a beautiful location.

The location is great, especially for parents with children.

The apple pancake was very tasty, and the first apple pancake where the apple didn't fall out, and I liked that the apple was thinly sliced. The bavette was also deliciously well cooked the way I wanted (raw). Highly recommended!

6 years ago, my review was still very positive. But since this restaurant has new owners, I have had to lower it completely to a negative level. Shame on them, this once-fantastic restaurant has really slid into the abyss!!!???? Waiting longer than an hour for something that looks like reheated food to come out of the kitchen and be plunked onto the table. We had two bavette steaks that had perhaps been on the griddle (or in the microwave) for 20 seconds and were simply completely raw on the inside. For convenience, they had included a blunt knife to help cut these tough bavette steaks. Pffff, what they could have done wrong here with just one dish is too bizarre for words. A seafood salad that was dry, disgustingly dry, and bland. My youngest daughter had a pancake; even baking a simple pancake well is far too difficult for the people at this once-fantastic restaurant these days. Unfortunately, we also had a negative experience here a year ago. We were the only ones sitting on the terrace (the four of us) and spent 45 minutes waving and gesturing at the staff to get someone's attention to order a drink. We had planned to have a nice meal there as well. But none of that happened. At one point, more people entered the restaurant and were assigned a table. And every new visitor could place an order, and we were still being ignored. Please save your money and your time and just walk past this restaurant and choose any other place instead; you won't find anything worse than this place anywhere. We have been coming to Schoorl for 8 years now; we eat at Honky Tonk at least once a year. I almost always order steak/tournedos/tenderloin here. I don't find them as tasty anywhere else. As far as I'm concerned, the beer menu could be a bit more extensive, although I thought the tasting platter was a nice addition. Keep up the good work, and we will definitely be back for a bite to eat this week.

Super nice spot at the foot of the climbing dune. Prices are a bit on the high side. The service wasn't always alert to orders/empty glasses etc., but they were very friendly. The food is super good, fresh, and beautifully presented. Good portions and choice.

First off let me say that this place has been around for multiple decades. It's authentic and so are the people that work here. From the waitresses to the kitchen staff everyone has a positive attitude and works hard to give the guests the best service and food. I was lucky enough to experience this restaurant from 2 Two sides. First as a musician and second as a diner guest. The cooperation for the live music was professional but relaxed and very helpful in finding the best location for the performance. As a diner guest I was very impressed by the dishes. Tender Bavette and beautiful home made quiches. The lavacake desert was perfect but a day special. I'd add it to the menu.

Honky Tonk is amazing in one word. Apple pie, cheesecake, carrot cake. Super fresh, homemade, delicious. Good coffee. The tea is a treat. Decent wine selection, great menu. The interior and exterior decor is nice. A pizza chef on Sundays. And the biggest plus is the friendly and welcoming staff.

Very friendly staff. It was super busy but they remained friendly and helpful. The employer should count themselves lucky with these ladies. Went for drinks for two evenings and enjoyed ourselves both times.

We arrived on a sunny day and it was quite busy, but we spotted a spot in the corner of the terrace (which was very sunny). We asked the waitress if we could sit there, but asked if the parasol could be put up. The waitress said that there were other people sitting there, and that was why she didn't want to. However, those people said they were going inside to pay anyway and would leave, so it would be possible. Then another group of people stood up next to us, who were already sitting under a parasol spot. The waitress then said that we could sit there, because those people were leaving anyway. So we stood up and walked over, only those people said they were going to stay for another fifteen minutes. Then we went to find the waitress again and asked once more if we couldn't sit in the original corner, with the parasol up, since we were the only people there anyway. The waitress said that she wanted to keep this corner as a sunny spot and therefore didn't want to put up the parasol. Afterwards, we went to sit across the street at De Zilte Zoen, nice and in the shade, and had a delicious meal. When we sat down and turned around, we saw that the parasol at Honky Tonk had been put up, and that another group of people was now sitting there (within 5 minutes of our departure).

The satay was stuck-together meat and tasteless. The vegetarian curry with chickpeas was also tasteless. The coffee was weak.

We were on a weekend trip to Schoorl. We spent the first evening at Honky Tonk. Great food, great atmosphere, and top-notch service from Siona. Very courteous, attentive, and with a great sense of humor. We were also able to order everything in German without any problems. We were back the next day. Just as good and attentive. The same goes for all the other guests. We give it 5 stars and are already looking forward to our next visit.

Very friendly staff. Good food. We had to wait a long time for dessert. Something had gone wrong. The desserts were removed from the bill. It certainly wasn't necessary, but it was thoughtful. Nice spot too. Highly recommended!

Quite a nice place to sit. I've been there before, this time it was just my child and a friend of his. I spent quite a while there in the afternoon, the service was excellent and friendly, with normal wait times. After that, I didn't see anyone again. I waited from 3 to 5 because I wanted a drink after getting up and asking a staff member. I finally got tea, but it was frustrating, of course, because we also wanted dinner for the kids, but getting the menu from a staff member wasn't an option, so we had to wait hours for that too. Luckily, we were helped quickly and the service was excellent, but the empty dishes on the table kept getting left behind, even after they'd already been empty-handed several times. The focus was on drinks, which was very strange because I spent quite a bit of money here, having to spend an entire afternoon searching for a drink and then having to ask for it myself. And then I had to eat continuously with a full table and dishes. There were people eating next to us who forgot the cheese on their spaghetti or something, and they got a free cup of tea, a free scoop of ice cream, etc. Meanwhile, I didn't receive any compensation. All in all, it's a nice place to sit, and if the service is good, it's really enjoyable. Unfortunately, this day was more frustrating for me.

The staff is inattentive and inattentive. I waited about 10 minutes for a menu I'd requested. I also tried to order drinks several times, but I had to actually walk up to the staff to order. Bad service everywhere!

The fire pit made it very comfortable to sit outside in January. We were two minutes late for lunch and therefore too early for the dinner menu. For three hungry men, we were forced to rely on the appetizers. These were quite manageable. We did have to order sauces separately for the fries, which were a bit dry.

We were there today after the Santa Claus Run. Beautiful place! Ordering and receiving food and drinks was unfortunately quite chaotic. The food and drinks were just average. The tap in the women's restroom was almost empty. But otherwise, the staff were friendly, and the restaurant looks very nice and cozy, both inside and out.

We had a delicious meal today at Honky Tonk restaurant, where we received excellent service in a location with a very warm and homey atmosphere. If you're looking for a cozy venue with good food and drinks at an affordable price, you've come to the right place. We enjoyed a three-course meal with two drinks for €40-50 per person, and it tasted great too! Definitely recommended.

Extreme long food waiting time. Even with just a few tables occupied. Defo not coming back here!!

First, we waited 30 minutes for service on the outdoor terrace, only to be told that the staff were understaffed and we could only dine inside. We took the benefit of the doubt and sat down. We waited 60 minutes to order. Then, after presenting the menu, it turned out the waiter had forgotten about us. We grabbed our things and left. Not to be repeated!

I give it 5 stars for a lovely evening at Honky Tonk. We had excellent service... Silona... or something like that. She tried to translate everything into German for us. Great. The food was delicious and served quickly. We'll definitely be back.

We had a drink with a group of four adults and two children. The service was very pleasant and efficient.

It takes an exceptionally long time, and no one comes by to ask if you need anything else or if you're enjoying yourself. It probably has something to do with the boss hiring far too few staff, so you can't really blame the girls for that. The food was fine, though. But I would never go back there again.

The snack I ordered didn't arrive. When I asked, she didn't apologize, but simply said the kitchen was understaffed. She went after it. No response, another long wait. So, I left.

The menu is very varied and very child-friendly. We stayed there for about two hours after a walk on the beach, and we were very thirsty. However, it took a very long time before we finally got our drinks, and then we had to wait a long time for our food again. They completely forgot about other drinks we ordered. At one point, the table was covered in dirty plates. When we asked for someone to take them away, the waitress seemed uneasy, but she did return later to do so. The staff wasn't always very friendly. Perhaps it was because it was very busy and there were few staff members present, I don't know. In the end, I had to go inside to pay, and even then, it took another ten minutes before anyone helped me. I don't think I'll be back.

The owners are very attentive and take great pleasure in making their guests feel welcome. Despite the young, sometimes somewhat inexperienced staff, we had a perfect evening with our family at the place my mother loved to go. Nothing is too much trouble. Very child-friendly. I had a delicious vegetarian salad, so tasty. Come back soon, dear people!

We had a wonderful meal with six people. We were given the six-person table we'd requested a day in advance. Despite it being busy, we received prompt and excellent service. Highly recommended!

Very disappointing! Made a reservation here to celebrate someone's birthday. The service was friendly, but they were at the wrong table with drinks every time we ordered. We were shoved at a table in a corner. The food was absolutely terrible; the spare ribs tasted like cardboard... Absolutely no flavor and incredibly tough. When we pointed this out, they said, "Well, that's a taste issue." The satay came with only one small skewer, and the truffle mayo with the sweet potato fries was forgotten. After a fifteen-minute wait, we received the sauce, but the fries were cold. We did get new fries, but that also took another fifteen minutes. Many tables were full of empty glasses, and the toilet was filthy. Drinks on the bill that we hadn't received were added. We spent a lot of money, but it was just an annoyance. It was a real shame; it put a huge damper on our birthday outing. We won't be coming back.

The staff wants everyone to have a good time and goes above and beyond. The food is always good quality. Children can play happily while their parents relax on the patio. They also offer many gluten-free options, and they're very accommodating to celiac disease patients.

Honky Tonk in Schoorl was incredibly wonderful! I've been coming here since I was little, and I have so many wonderful memories. This year, we had two fun parties there with a large group. Anything goes! They're very helpful, and bunting is no problem. The service is top-notch. Friendly staff, and of course, a fantastic location! And don't forget the bitterballen! They're delicious!

What a delightful experience today at Honky Tonk. From the moment we walked in, we were embraced by the cozy atmosphere and the friendliness that permeated the place. Everything went smoothly. The wine list is surprisingly well-chosen. Our chosen wine paired perfectly with the food, and the service provided an excellent recommendation. Honky Tonk is a place where everything is just right. Highly recommended.

We hebben een tijdje moeten wachten voordat de bediening onze bestelling kwam opnemen. Er stonden nog glazen en borden op de tafel. Dat werd pas opgeruimd toen we het drinken kregen. De gastvrijheid was ver te zoeken.

It was quite busy, but what else do you expect in peak season with 29 degrees Celsius at the climbing dune? Everything was very well organized, and I ended up taking home an item for my collection. We had a delicious meal under the canopy, in a cozy atmosphere with the rain tapping on the roof. I had the noodles with tenderloin pieces, definitely recommended! And a delicious mint tea with tasty chocolates for dessert. The homemade lemonade could be a bit more extensive; it would be nice if it had a bit more fruit/mint instead of half an orange slice.

We ate there yesterday with our two children. The location, directly next to the "giant sand hill," practically invites you to a "really" relaxed dinner with children. Unfortunately, that was the only positive thing about the entire evening, as the service was abysmal. At the beginning, a waitress spilled a beer on my pants (that can happen anytime and is only human), but the way the situation was handled was more than questionable. There was no "sorry," and even when I asked for a towel to dry them a bit, the answer was a brusque, "I only have two hands." While I was sitting there with wet pants, the first thing they did was diligently wipe the table dry instead of bringing me a towel (which would have been the minimum level of courtesy). On top of that, two children's dishes were charged €18 each. We had only ordered pasta without sauce. We only realized this on the way back, though, because we wondered why the evening had been so expensive. We then had to go back and point out that we had ordered a children's meal from the menu, which was only half the price. Overall, it was all very annoying!

Had to wait a long time. More tempura than fish and strangely seasoned. A Honky burger costs €21 and isn't fresh, way too compact, so it came from the freezer. It's also very hard to eat; everything falls apart. McDonald's is a better choice.

We waited over an hour for our food, even though it was already 7:45 when we sat down. After asking if it would be much longer, they said it would be another 25-30 minutes! We were with a small baby and said it really couldn't take that long. I told them that this really wouldn't work for us (meaning we wanted to get our food faster). Without batting an eyelid, the food was canceled, so we had no food at 8:00 PM! We had to order home delivery. We'll never go there again.

The food tasted good. I had the smoked salmon wrap, but there was a moderate amount of salmon in it. Furthermore, for 13 euros, I found the amount of food I received very mediocre. The staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was good.

het eten was heerlijk. maar we wilden het dessert bestellen totdat er een vrouw aan de tafel kwam met de opmerking dat de volgende groep er al klaar stond, op een bevelige toon, terwijl er nog een andere tafel klaar stond die gebruikt kon worden. die werd uiteindelijk ook gebruikt maar we hebben het desert maar laten schieten.

How can a store be so noisy and disorganized? The order was taken late. The food took almost an hour to arrive. It tasted okay. We dropped a drink and it was ignored for 20 minutes. The waitresses chose to step over the puddle rather than bring us a rag. Empty drinks were simply taken from the table without asking if you wanted anything else. Then the wrong ones/too many were brought. The whole thing was expensive too. There is an extremely loud clattering of cutlery when putting things away. Never again.

The service yesterday was really bad, a long wait until you could order food and then an ultra-long wait until we got the food, it wasn't overcrowded and there were three of us...my husband had to ask several times...the food itself was ok, the burger was great, spaghetti Bolognese was good, fries with truffle mayo were very manageable for the price...we won't be back

Gisteravond ons feest bij Honky Tonk gevierd. We hadden een eigen ruimte tot onze beschikking ( serre + bruin café). Met eigen ingang en toilet. De voorbereidende gesprekken met Marjon verliepen al zeer prettig. Het feest was helemaal naar zin. We hebben heerlijk gegeten en voelden ons in de watten gelegd. Alle gerechten waren even smakelijk. Heeft onze verwachtingen overtroffen ! Ik zou het iedereen aanraden hier een feest te vieren. Marjon en team: heel erg bedankt. We hebben enorm genoten ! Lieve groet, Walter en Irene

Very nice restaurant next to the climbing dune. They have very tasty food here and the food is reasonably priced. Staff is nice and dr service is good.

Not great at all. Staff is disinterested (while there are plenty of them around), doesn't explain anything, food is basic and doesn't even bother to look at you. During our visit two other tables had doubts about the quality of the food.

We hebben hier heel goed en gezellig gegeten. Vooraf was ik gebeld dat het die avond niet zo druk zou worden en dat er daarom een beperkte kaart was. Daar hebben we helemaal geen last van gehad, heerlijk gegeten op een fijne plek aan het raam in de serre. Ook de bediening was professioneel en vriendelijk. Een aanrader!
