In the afternoon, we inquired about making a reservation, partly due to gluten-free requirements. We were told it wasn't necessary. Dietary requests could always be accommodated. When we arrived in the evening with my mother, who is nearly 100, there was no room, and we were told to stand across the street and wait. The extremely grumpy owner would then call out our names if there was space. When I mentioned that I had called specifically in the afternoon to make a reservation, he now said that they didn't do that. There was absolutely no understanding for my elderly mother. He also couldn't estimate a waiting time. After waiting for over fifteen minutes, we eventually left without eating there.

The staff takes your order quickly, but then it takes a very long time before you receive anything. In our case, it was just coffee. This has happened several times at this location.

Meh, not really good food.. had a lasagna with blue cheese on top. It was lukewarm on the inside and not really anything special. A friend of mine had a pizza too, that wasn't really good.

A truly lovely restaurant in a prime location right on the edge of the forest and dunes – perfect for a break after a walk or bike ride. Food: Generous pancakes and hearty stone-baked pizzas at fair prices. For families: The large playground right next to the restaurant is ideal for children. Service & Location: The terrace is perfect for sitting in the sun, and the staff is quick and friendly even when it's busy. Overall, a down-to-earth, cozy place for a relaxing stop.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We visited Duinvermaak in Bergen Binnen as a family with children and can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant! We were particularly impressed by the exceptionally family-friendly atmosphere. While we enjoyed our meal in a relaxed atmosphere, the children had a blast on the large, varied playground right next to the restaurant. This made dining out a truly enjoyable experience for both parents and children. The food was also outstanding: The Bergen Binnen pizza was perfectly topped, crispy, and absolutely delicious. The bacon pancakes were another real highlight – wonderfully moist, generously filled, and typically Dutch and delicious. The service was friendly, attentive, and very welcoming despite the restaurant being busy. Overall, the whole package is just right: delicious food, fair prices, a relaxed atmosphere, and a playground that brought a sparkle to our children's eyes. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back. A definite recommendation for families!

Fantastic location, fantastic staff, and the pancakes are big and delicious; you won't leave here hungry! It was our daughter's birthday, we had mentioned this, and she was subsequently surprised by the loudly singing staff; a fantastic experience, even though she found it a bit scary haha!

We wanted to go to Duinvermaak and order a pizza, but when we arrived the pizza oven was broken, so we had to take a pancake instead, but they are not satisfied with the gluten-free options.

Friendly staff, but the manager is verbally very angry with customers. Someone spoke to him about it, and then he got even angrier. A small dog was said to have bitten staff, but this was not true. So people stood up for the dog. The manager didn't like that, so he ordered those people to leave and never come back. The dog became agitated by a beep on the waiter's ordering device and accidentally scratched a female employee because of it. I would never go there again, and certainly not with a dog. The food is okay, though.

A hidden gem in the middle of nature! 🌿🍕 You can enjoy one of the best anchovies pizzas while listening to birds singing around you. Peaceful atmosphere, delicious food, and a perfect place to relax.

Respect for how the entire team (including the supervisor / boss?) handled things this afternoon. Partly due to the rain, the restaurant filled up with guests, but everything remained under control. In addition, the food is always good, including the generously filled salads. Service is polite, etc.

It is wonderful that this remains in its authentic state.

Even as a small child, I was a frequent and happy guest at this restaurant with my parents. Now, with my family (four children), I'm absolutely thrilled with the quality of the food and the friendly service. A definite recommendation for anyone who wants to eat well, enjoys pizza or especially pancakes, and appreciates a relaxed atmosphere. Just like 50 years ago, it remains a top spot in Bergen.

We were looking for a good pancake house and were pleasantly surprised as soon as we arrived. The building is a real eye-catcher and exudes a special charm. The interior is cozy and rustic, inviting you to linger. You immediately feel at ease. We would especially like to highlight the friendliness of the staff. The entire team was exceptionally warm, attentive, and helpful. The pancakes also impressed us, and the value for money is absolutely top-notch. The whole package of atmosphere, service, and quality is simply perfect. We will gladly return and can wholeheartedly recommend the Pancake House Duinvermaak.

It was very busy, but we were still able to spontaneously get a seat for dinner. We waited a bit on the terrace with a drink and then enjoyed a delicious pizza inside.

Cozy spot with a nice terrace. Their apple pie is very tasty and highly recommended! Good, firm whipped cream. But I especially want to compliment the staff, and Do in particular! There were three of us there for coffee and cake; we didn't want anything else and were actually about to leave, but we stayed a bit longer to chat (it was nice that they didn't make a fuss about it). And then Do came over to bring us a glass of water. Of her own accord! What service, what a host! Top-notch. Thank you. We would love to come back again.

Pancakes used to be better, with lots of vegetables and a thick, well-baked batter. Today we had pancakes similar to crêpes on our plates, without much flavor... What a shame.

We were very disappointed. We drove there specifically for the poffertjes and arrived just before 5 pm. We even looked at the menu to see what we wanted to drink. When the waitress came to take our order, it was three minutes past 5 pm and they hadn't made us any poffertjes. They just left them unattended when we asked if they could still make them. Such unfriendly service! Then they offered Chocomel in a bottle, but it arrived in a cup.

The food is delicious, and there is parking and a forest for a walk after eating.

A very nice restaurant, excellent pancakes and pizzas, very friendly service, highly recommended. In addition, there's a lovely playground in the outdoor area, besides the comfortable seating under a permanent pavilion.

No reservations are possible, but that is precisely what makes it great. The waiting time estimate is exactly right, and it is possible to take a walk into the beautiful forest nearby to while away the time. The service is friendly and helpful. Despite being extremely busy, food and drinks were served quickly.

It is and remains, in essence, a pancake and pizza restaurant. Naturally, the culinary aspect remains limited as a result. But what they make is truly of very high quality. And what makes the customer experience complete is the cozy, relaxed atmosphere, along with very friendly service. Absolutely recommended for young and old.

What a beautiful spot this child-friendly restaurant is situated in! A lovely building in a prime location with free parking. For the children, there is a fun playground and coloring pages with pencils. The staff is efficient and friendly, and the food is exactly what you would expect from this place. Highly recommended if you have spent a day in the woods or are on vacation in Bergen or the surrounding area.

Always good and tasty food and drinks. The sandwiches are delicious and inexpensive. Free parking is available across the street from Duinvermaak. There are many hiking trails nearby. In summer, there's a pleasant terrace.

If you don't come to eat, but only to have a drink, you'll have to squeeze for a seat.

The food is quite good for a very reasonable price. The portions aren't huge, but they offer excellent value for money. Always a pleasant atmosphere and never deserted. It can get a bit lively when there are lots of children running around.

After a lovely walk through the woods, we stopped here for something to eat and drink. We had the pancake with stewed pears and stewed pear ice cream, and a pancake with banana and Nutella. Unfortunately, the stewed pears came in a bowl placed on the pancake, and the scoop of ice cream was in a glass placed on the pancake. I personally find this unhygienic, as it's often placed on a countertop. It was also a shame that you have to cut the stewed pears yourself, and the amount was quite small for a whole pancake. The banana was also a bit small, while there was a lot of Nutella. The pancake was fine, but unfortunately, it could have been better.

My sister was celebrating her birthday, and we wanted to have a nice lunch with the four of us at Duinvermaak. All in all, we had a bad experience. During lunchtime, they had to drill holes in a stone wall, which made a terrible racket. It was impossible to talk to each other. This lasted at least 15 minutes. Even getting an apology from the staff was somewhat acceptable, but they acted like it was the most normal thing in the world. I saw several customers complaining to the staff. This should have been done during closing time. The food was otherwise fine, but the service left a lot to be desired. I ordered a white wine that should always be served cold, but it didn't come out of the refrigerator. Later, I ordered coffee that should have been served hot, but after waiting on the bar for 5 minutes and after we pointed it out when we saw it, it was finally served, although it had gotten cold. I think we'll look for a restaurant with a bit more service from now on.

We had a family reunion with 15 people and had a fantastic day! The staff were fantastic, everything was taken care of, and the food was delicious. We used to come here with Grandma, and we'll continue to enjoy coming here with the new generation(s).

We had a very disappointing experience, which was due to the restaurant being so crowded. The kitchen and staff couldn't handle it. When we arrived, no one greeted us. We had to try and squeeze in somewhere. I approached a few people myself, and they made room for us. Drinks were served quickly after addressing a waitress. We then wanted to order cake, but everything was gone, including the waffles. Finally, there were only poffertjes left to stay in a sweet snack. So we ordered those for our children. After waiting for almost an hour, we finally decided to leave because there was no indication of when we would be able to receive a total of twenty poffertjes. The children and we were disappointed. During that entire time, no one even came to say if it would take a little longer or anything. I noticed there was very little communication between the staff, except for one man, the man making the poffertjes. He tried his best but couldn't handle the demand. But that wasn't surprising, since this is starting to happen, with other products already being refused by the afternoon. Then the pressure on other dishes increases. In short, a bad experience. I don't understand why the management anticipated so poorly on a beautiful Sunday afternoon when you can expect it to be busy. Hopefully, next time will be better.

Everyone is super friendly and welcoming, the food is delicious, and the spot in the sun in the afternoon is beautiful!

I waited two and a half hours in the rain for the Noot Regiotaxi, which didn't show up, and this isn't the first time this has happened! Thanks to the very attentive and helpful owner of Duinvermaak, I got home in a regular taxi (74 euros!). Thanks again!
