Year after year, one of our favorite places to visit in Bergen.

Always good and tasty food and drinks. The sandwiches are delicious and inexpensive. Free parking is available across the street from Duinvermaak. There are many hiking trails nearby. In summer, there's a pleasant terrace.

If you don't come to eat, but only to have a drink, you'll have to squeeze for a seat.

Fantastic place for pancakes, pizza, or small dishes. Located on the edge of the forest and dunes, with beautiful hiking trails.

We enjoyed delicious pancakes, enjoyed a beautiful location, and had a lovely playground next door. There are always coloring pages for the kids.

Ate pizza for the same price as at Happy Holiday but at Duinvermaak it was 10 times better.

The food is quite good for a very reasonable price. The portions aren't huge, but they offer excellent value for money. Always a pleasant atmosphere and never deserted. It can get a bit lively when there are lots of children running around.

After a lovely walk through the woods, we stopped here for something to eat and drink. We had the pancake with stewed pears and stewed pear ice cream, and a pancake with banana and Nutella. Unfortunately, the stewed pears came in a bowl placed on the pancake, and the scoop of ice cream was in a glass placed on the pancake. I personally find this unhygienic, as it's often placed on a countertop. It was also a shame that you have to cut the stewed pears yourself, and the amount was quite small for a whole pancake. The banana was also a bit small, while there was a lot of Nutella. The pancake was fine, but unfortunately, it could have been better.

My sister was celebrating her birthday, and we wanted to have a nice lunch with the four of us at Duinvermaak. All in all, we had a bad experience. During lunchtime, they had to drill holes in a stone wall, which made a terrible racket. It was impossible to talk to each other. This lasted at least 15 minutes. Even getting an apology from the staff was somewhat acceptable, but they acted like it was the most normal thing in the world. I saw several customers complaining to the staff. This should have been done during closing time. The food was otherwise fine, but the service left a lot to be desired. I ordered a white wine that should always be served cold, but it didn't come out of the refrigerator. Later, I ordered coffee that should have been served hot, but after waiting on the bar for 5 minutes and after we pointed it out when we saw it, it was finally served, although it had gotten cold. I think we'll look for a restaurant with a bit more service from now on.

We had a family reunion with 15 people and had a fantastic day! The staff were fantastic, everything was taken care of, and the food was delicious. We used to come here with Grandma, and we'll continue to enjoy coming here with the new generation(s).

Very tasty. Really good lasagna, highly recommended. The pizza is also good. Friendly service, great atmosphere in this historic old building. We highly recommend it. Dogs are also very welcome.

We had a very disappointing experience, which was due to the restaurant being so crowded. The kitchen and staff couldn't handle it. When we arrived, no one greeted us. We had to try and squeeze in somewhere. I approached a few people myself, and they made room for us. Drinks were served quickly after addressing a waitress. We then wanted to order cake, but everything was gone, including the waffles. Finally, there were only poffertjes left to stay in a sweet snack. So we ordered those for our children. After waiting for almost an hour, we finally decided to leave because there was no indication of when we would be able to receive a total of twenty poffertjes. The children and we were disappointed. During that entire time, no one even came to say if it would take a little longer or anything. I noticed there was very little communication between the staff, except for one man, the man making the poffertjes. He tried his best but couldn't handle the demand. But that wasn't surprising, since this is starting to happen, with other products already being refused by the afternoon. Then the pressure on other dishes increases. In short, a bad experience. I don't understand why the management anticipated so poorly on a beautiful Sunday afternoon when you can expect it to be busy. Hopefully, next time will be better.

Everyone is super friendly and welcoming, the food is delicious, and the spot in the sun in the afternoon is beautiful!

I waited two and a half hours in the rain for the Noot Regiotaxi, which didn't show up, and this isn't the first time this has happened! Thanks to the very attentive and helpful owner of Duinvermaak, I got home in a regular taxi (74 euros!). Thanks again!

The food was delicious and served by very friendly staff. The restaurant is nicely decorated, but the large space can make it a bit hectic.

Duinvermaak is a lovely place for lunch. The prices are reasonable. The location is good. You can walk straight from Duinvermaak into the Bergse Bos forest and then towards the service coast. That's about an hour's walk.

Had a delicious pancake, nice place, friendly staff

We went three times last year and had bad experiences. We ordered apple pie twice, which was served still frozen. Tried again yesterday. We sat outside. We sat on the bench for 30 minutes, but the staff didn't take orders, even though they were taking them at other tables. Then a group of six people showed up and wanted our place, so we moved two tables over. They were served, and after waiting 15 minutes, we left in anger. Yes, we were really trying to get attention to order. We were simply ignored. And no, we didn't look "strange." After that, we had a wonderful time at a pizzeria in the city center, with fast service and excellent service.

I love to come here to eat a traditional pannenkoek, the position is really nice close to the Dutch dunes. The stuff is really kind and despite it might get a bit long before you get the meal (if it's completely full), you can enjoy the building or nature if you are sitting outside. I recommend this place!

Very popular and accordingly busy during peak season, but still good and fast service, everything very informal and relaxed. We found it a nice break from our bike tour.

I've been coming here since I was young. It used to be more pleasant, but now it's mostly very busy and hectic. But it remains a top location in a beautiful setting.

The interest from the staff is more than usual. They are relaxed, natural, speak several languages. You feel right at home. The cuisine is more Italian than the menu.

Last week I cycled to Bergen, originally just for ice cream. But we ended up at Duinvermaak. The service was very friendly and helpful, and the pancakes were delicious. It's basic but super good!

Sehr schade ! Nahezu 35 Jahre fahren wir nach Bergen und besuchen dieses Restaurant zum Abschluss des Tages. Bereits im letzten Jahr und besonders gestern haben wir einen dtl. Qualitätsverlust der Speisen registriert. Bei den Pfannekuchen schmeckt der Teig fade und am Belag ist eine starke Einsparung zu beobachten. Auch ist dieses Restaurant nicht als ruhig zu bezeichnen, hier herrschte schon immer reges Treiben. Die Bedienung ist immer sehr freundlich und der Service sehr flott. Mit unseren Kindern sind wir früher immer sehr gerne dort eingekehrt.

Great location, super friendly service. Unfortunately, reservations aren't possible. Long waits (around 6 p.m.) and busy. Next time around 7:30 p.m.

Super delicious pancakes and pretty fast service. We've been cycling past for years, and this year we've been there four times, which speaks volumes about the quality. The food prices are also quite reasonable, though the drinks are a bit more expensive, as always. ...

The pancakes are super delicious! Sweet and savory. For us, it's the best pancake house in the world! Every year on vacation, we go from Makkum to Bergen to eat pancakes. It's always worth it.

The weather might have been nice outside, but inside all the doors were open, so there was a terrible draft and it wasn't comfortable. I've been coming here for years, an average of three or four times a year, but what used to be a cozy place has unfortunately changed quite a bit. We were given German menus instead of Dutch ones, and at one point I switched them myself because the staff wasn't paying attention. I had to actually wave to get the staff's attention. They were mostly busy with each other. It wasn't busy inside. What I really found disappointing was that the pancakes (bacon and cheese and one with onions and mushrooms, etc.) weren't cooked through. My son liked his pizza, but the pizza crust is a kind of hard, crispy pastry; you can't really call that pizza. The salads used to be good, but now they're very cold and have little flavor. We also had to pay a fortune for mediocre food and poor service. I pointed out to the chef that filled pancakes take longer to cook, but he was clearly irritated by my comment, but whatever. I personally think it's helpful for them to get some feedback, because then you can pay attention. They've lost our family as customers, at least. Do better.

Delicious pancakes and a nice playground for the kids

You can have great pancakes there, and the lasagna was delicious too! If it's not busy, you can sit and eat in peace. However, we were there at a busy time. We got a table right away, but people after us had to wait a while for a table to become available. They'd then stand by the door, lingering and waiting, and for me, that's a bit of a mood killer. A really nice outdoor playground, but I couldn't find any indoor play areas.

I don't like pancakes but this place really makes the best spek kaas pannenkoek.

Today was wonderful on the terrace at Duinvermaak in Bergen. What a great place! Pancakes, pizzas, sandwiches, and an antipasti platter again today. Excellent! Simply value for money and reasonably priced. The drinks, too, not over the top, like almost everywhere in the hospitality industry these days.

We had pizza and pancakes. Both were delicious. Even though the place was busy, we received prompt and friendly service and didn't have to wait long for our food. The prices were perfectly reasonable. Highly recommended!

The location is beautiful, right next to the dunes and a parking lot. They also have a fairly large terrace. We sat there for 20 minutes, but no one came to take our order. They preferred to have small talk with each other. So we left after 20 minutes. What great service!

Super tasty affordable food, the atmosphere inside is really great and the servers are always nice. I have been there several times and hope to go again soon. Free parking is always a plus, they also have a playground outside for kids.

Die Bedienung war freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir haben uns für einen süßen und einen herzhaften Pfannkuchen entschieden. Beide waren ausgezeichnet. Ich hatte mich für ein lokales Bier, frisch gezapft entschieden. Die Kellnerin kam daraufhin mit einer Probe und bat mich es vorher zu kosten. Tolle Geste. Es hat geschmeckt und ich blieb dabei. Alles in Allem hat sich der Besuch gelohnt. Preis-Leistung stimmen hier.

We found this restaurant via Google on our way back from Alkmaar. The restaurant's location is romantic, nestled in the forest. We found a cozy table outside. The service was friendly and attentive. We chose a sweet and a savory pancake. Both were excellent. I opted for a local beer, freshly tapped. The waitress then brought me a sample and asked me to try it first. A great gesture. It was delicious, and I stayed. All in all, the visit was worthwhile. The value for money is right here.

My husband and I wanted to eat something tasty. We ordered pizza. I can say delicious. I had fish and that was also abundantly on it and therefore also anchovies. The weather was nice and we sat on the terrace. You can understand that you wanted to order more drinks because of the anchovies. Well, I had to walk inside myself because the staff did not come to our terrace anymore. I saw more people walking inside for it. After eating, an ice cream is always nice. Well, how were we going to do that. Well, we got the menu cards ourselves. They were in the hallway. Then they suddenly came our way. The ice cream was fine. But for the amount we ate, I thought the service was below par and one of the female staff members was not very friendly either. And no, it was not busy. Whether I will go back 🤔 let me think about it. After all, the pizza was great

Charming country restaurant in an old Dutch villa, serving delicious homemade pizzas, lasagna and pancakes (sweet and savory), with big playground on the side of the building. They also have a large parking lot just across the street. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The kid's menu is a bit limited, so we ended up getting a pizza Margherita for my daughter. The other, bigger problem, was that because it was weekend and dinner time, a lot of older kids (12-15 years old) were running unattended and playing with a football ball, which made us very nervous for our toddler's safety. Nothing happened, but it would be nice if they wouldn't allow teenagers on the playground, or at least not with balls.

We had a pancake with ice cream. The glasses that the ice cream was in had first been on the counter where everyone is hanging on. Then they were put right in the middle of the pancake. Nice and fresh this. We also had a Turkish pizza which only had one flavour which was tomato sauce. Pizza did not look like a Turkish pizza so unfortunately not that good.

Reservation was quite strange. We were told that we had to pay 1.50 p.p. for the reservation. Service was quite slow and incompetent. The food on the other hand was good. and the children were able to play for a while in the playground that belongs to it.

Great price quality. Delicious pizzas. Nice place. We were on our way south from Den Helder and this was nicely on the route. No regrets. Too bad this restaurant is not near us 😉. The room was just a bit noisy (especially for our half-deaf wife and I.)

Great place to either start or end your schoorl mountain biking outing. The pancakes are really good and so is the atmosphere. There is a good parking spot just opposite the restaurant (a good place to leave your ride)

Mooi gelegen aan een bosweg en met een leuke inrichting. Het eten was redelijk, maar weinig keuze. Geen reservering nodig. Zeer druk. De bediening was door de drukte niet al te snel.
