Friendly staff and delicious food, a good start for a nice walk through the Schoorlse dunes.

Sometimes there's a bit of a noise disturbance from children, and the acoustics leave a bit to be desired. But usually, it's a nice place to rest after a walk.

Wij aten als lunch een overheerlijke aspergesoep. De soep was ruim voorzien van lekkere stukjes asperge. Een bakje met ham stond naast de soep dus facultatief te gebruiken wel/geen vlees.

Prachtige plek, redelijk goede lunchgerechten aardige medewerker die de gerechten brengt, maar het personeel en"manager" aan de counter zijn uiterst bot en klantonvriendelijk.. Klacht ingediend en snel een reactie gekregen dat het niet zo zou moeten, maar het is niet onze eerste ervaring en gezien de reviews zijn we niet de enige die moeite hebben met het botte gedrag van het counterpersoneel..!

Checked out the menu on the website and drove here especially for a few vegan specials. When we got there, it turned out that those specials had been removed from the menu. According to an employee, there is a new menu. That is the old menu minus the two vegan dishes. No alternative dishes have been replaced. A waste of our trip to this otherwise uninviting restaurant.

Nice location but prices are high. Paid €16.40 for 4x Sourcy Vitaminwater. You may have to queue first for this because they do not serve.

Terribly expensive prices, unpleasant boomer staff and self-service of a McDonald's. Of course I don't know what employment opportunities are like in Schoorl, but I don't know whether these ladies have chosen the right career. A simple dollop of whipped cream from a supermarket can will cost you almost a euro, on top of your apple pie that I can get better at the Jumbo further down the road. You can add the cinnamon and cocoa to your cappuccino yourself, of course, because if the employees did it it would look like service. Furthermore, it has the ambience of a work canteen in the funeral industry. Otherwise a nice building.

After standing in line for almost 15 minutes with two hungry children, I was only told at the cash register after I had placed my order that they were no longer taking orders. And the kitchen was closed for the time being. That was around 1:15 PM on a Saturday. Very bad. It had been known all week that the weather would be beautiful this Saturday. Here you can have a great meal before or after your walk. There are vegan options there. The prices were good too. You can sit inside and outside. You order inside and the food is then brought to you. The dishes all looked great.

Wonderful place to relax after a dune walk

Nice restaurant and in a very nice location, as they share the building with the Forestry Commission. The combination of the exhibited objects from the Staatsbosbeheer together with the IJgenweis restaurant makes it a top location for the whole family. The menu is not difficult, but tasty. Something for everyone, and very good price quality! The price is not very high, but it is clearly noticeable that attention has been paid to the dishes. Because of the open location, it is not a restaurant where you can eat quietly at a high level, but really a family restaurant.

We staan lang in de rij te wachten. Wanneer we eindelijk aan de beurt zijn wordt er gezegd dat de rij aan de andere kant moet worden gemaakt. Wanneer we daar zijn aangekomen heeft zich een rij voor ons gevormd, waardoor we weer opnieuw achteraan de rij moeten staan. Voornamelijk omdat mijn vriend Engels spreekt wordt hij afgewimpeld. Vervolgens willen wij bestellen en wordt er gezegd dat de keuken dicht is. Dus we alleen van de snack kaart kunnen bestellen. We vragen om een kroket, maar dat kan niet. Alhoewel bitterballen wel nog geserveerd kunnen worden. Terug bij de tafel gekomen zien we dat de keuken open zou zijn tot 16.30 uur terwijl het nog maar 16.00 uur is. Gelukkig smaakt het eten wel.

Very busy, but ok… you cannot call mushroom soup and “forest mushroom soup”. Big dissappointment! But bread by soup was great!

Ruim opgezet self-service restaurant. Dus geen “wachten op bediening”, gewoon in eigen tempo. De drankjes waren aan prijzige kant, de aspergesoep vind ik aanrader. Duurde wel even voordat soep gebracht werdt, terwijl het niet deuk oogde. Was volop (ruime) plek. De peper en zout vaatjes waren niet bepaald “verzorgd”, vies aan de de draaiknop, nagenoeg leeg, en versleten ogend geheel. De ligging onderaan de hoogste duin van nederland en duin/water-speeltuin voor kleinere kinderen maken het een aantrekkelijk geheel.

Kaboutertocht gedaan (verkrijgbaar bij kassa) superleuk voor de kleintjes!

Ik heb meestal geen hoge dunk van selfservice restaurants maar dit is toch een uitzondering. Het eten is veelal lokaal en biologisch. De gerechten zijn vers bereid, heerlijk van smaak en prima porties. Gezien het selfservice is moet je zelf de tafel leegmaken en op drukke momenten is er onvoldoende personeel om de tafels schoon te maken dus het zal er minder schoon kunnen zijn dan elders maar dat was nu gelukkig geen enkel probleem. Een aanrader ook gezien het een onderdeel van het buitencentrum is en daar alle wandelroutes starten.

De tafels, de vloer én de kinderstoel waren niet schoon. Toen ik om een doekje vroeg, kreeg ik een vies doekje om de kinderstoel mee schoon te maken. Ik vind eigenlijk dat gasten niet zelf iets schoon hoeven te maken voordat ze kunnen zitten. Eten is simpel en door het zelfbedieningingsconcept laagdrempelig.

Na een flinke wandeling van 15 km hier aangelegd voor een lunch. Vooraf een heerlijke prei lente ui soep en daarna een heerlijke vega salade met burrata. De ligging van dit restaurant is bijzonder. Aan de rand van het prachtige duingebied Schoorl en ideaal vertrekpunt voor wandelaars en fietsers. Een aanrader!

Ja ganz auf der ökologischen Welle. Aber von Herzen. Ich habe IJgenweis vor und während Corona besucht und kann es nur empfehlen.

Mooie start/eind plek voor een wandeling door de duinen. Personeel hier is echter niet het klant vriendelijkst; drukker met onderling overleg dan met het helpen van de klant.

Even de koffie genuttigd met een brownie( wat erg duur was) een heel klein stukje voor € 3.00 Koffie was lekker . Locatie was perfect. Je kunt er mooie wandelingen maken

Fijne plek om iets te drinken en eten. Daarnaast is het bezoekerscentrum met leuke "natuurlijke" artikelen te koop. En ook heel prettig als je alleen maar naar het toilet wil (donatie € 0,30).

Heerlijke plek om even op te steken,prachtig uitzicht.

De locatie zou ik 4 sterren willen geven- het ligt aan de duinrand met mooi uitzicht op duinen en een hoog klimduin met trap. De lunch -broodje oude kaas, met heel veel ringen rode ui bovenop en een onduidelijk zalmkleurig smeersel onderop, vond ik qua smaak niet het einde- De koffie en appeltaart waren wel echt lekker. Wat tegenviel was dat we erg lang moesten wachten op onze broodjes, en dat ons tafeltje en de grond echt vies waren van vorige gasten en dat daar niet op gelet werd. Personeel is wel vriendelijk, en als je iets vraagt wordt het gedaan/opgelost.

Heerlijke broccolisoep met broodje. Prima locatie. Jammer dat t zelfbediening is. Vriendelijk personeel.

Mooie plek om te lunchen. Broodje Carpaccio besteld met veels te veel sla. Daarbij had de sla een dressing wat totaal niet past bij een carpaccio met truffelmayonaise. Ook een te klein bord waardoor alles snel van het bord af viel.

Heerlijke glutenvrije chocoladetaart gegeten!

Bij binnenkomst zagen we al heerlijke gerechten bij de gasten op tafel staan. Carpaccio mega... Zelf alle2 Mezzaluna met pikante kip besteld. Die smaakt heerlijk!! Salade @the side We hebben genoten!! Lekkerrrrrrr Complimenten aan de kok gegeven!!

Jammer dat het zelfbediening is, vriendelijk personeel, goede koffie en gebak.

Wel even wennen aan het nieuwe concept, zelf service. Eten is goed, personeel is erg vriendelijk, sfeer is perfect. Groot nadeel is dat wanneer je allergieën hebt er weinig op de kaart staat wat je kan bestellen... (Alles bevat koemelk)

Der Ziegenkäse auf Brötchen mit Chutney war ein echtes Highlight! Ganz unerwartet für so ein Café in einem Besucherzentrum.

Nice place for a drink or a light meal, especially after a hike thru forest or dunes. They offer a few good things for lunch like a tosti with ham and salami for reasonable prices. Not very mucht choice, though. When driving there, just trust your navigation and park the car (paid parking!) even when you don't see the restaurant.

Met 18 man + 2 kleine kinderen lunch gereserveerd. Prima eten, mooie ruimte en uitstekende bediening. Prijs viel reuze mee. Een aanrader!
