Lovely place with delicious food and good staff. Definitely worth a return visit.

Beautiful, stylish establishment, very friendly and service-oriented staff, and the rijsttafel is incredibly tasty and more than sufficient… On the recommendation of the waiter, we enjoyed a delicious Indonesian cocktail “Pisang Ambon” with orange juice!! We found the price a bit on the low side for what we received, so we left an extra tip!! Highly recommended!!

The food is tasty but nothing special. You don't get much; small mini bowls of soup, 4 spoonfuls and it's gone. I think 40 euros per person is really a lot. You're better off going to a Chinese restaurant or ordering an Indian rijsttafel. For 2 people you can feed 4, and the quality is almost the same, but half the price.

Saw a delivery driver for this tent on the road. Acts strangely on the road. Tailgating. Then overtakes, pulls in front of us, and slams on the brakes. This happened multiple times. An aggressive type behind the wheel.

The food was really substandard, especially the pork satay and braised beef—I believe the Rendang too; the chunks of fat were flying from one corner of our mouths to the other. Very disappointing; given the previous reviews, I had expected more. Unfortunately, another disappointment.

We actually always order our rijsttafels here, and we did so again today, but this time we were disappointed with the quantity in relation to the price.. it was also lukewarm/cold and we ordered sate babi, which is included in the rijsttafel, only these were made with chicken instead of pork..

This afternoon around 4 p.m., we called for a table for two, and luckily someone had canceled, so there was just one spot left for us. We received a very friendly welcome; they took our coats. We had the rijsttafel (rice table) for 36 people. The food was so delicious, it was just too much to finish. Delicious Bintang beers were included. The price-quality ratio is perfect. The atmosphere inside is very cozy and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. And when we left, they grabbed our coats and held it up for us, which was perfect. Excellent food and certainly not too little!

We ate here for the first time with a large group (10 people). We were warmly welcomed by the host/chef and made a selection from the menu together. Nothing was forced upon us; it was very relaxed and friendly. The various dishes (extensive rijsttafel) were each delicious! (And we're quite picky, being of Indonesian descent!). Tables were well separated; there was no feeling of being a food shack or trying to squeeze as much money as possible. The sofa and chairs were also comfortable for extended seating (we were there for four hours). You weren't looked away or reminded to please leave.

I can't comment on the restaurant's atmosphere, but I'd still like to give it all 5 stars. Last night we ordered for 6:30-6:45 PM, and the food was delivered perfectly on time by a friendly delivery driver and was still warm. Then there's the food: truly fantastic. We had nasi goreng Indonesia twice, and the portions were truly enormous. Everything was delicious, from the satay to the rendang and pickled cucumbers. We'll definitely be back to try other dishes!

Delicious food, too bad the service was absent

We had a delicious meal, but it was a shame that we had to wait 1.5 hours for our order, even though it was our 50th wedding anniversary that day.

Picked up two rijsttafels on a weeknight. The food was delicious, everything tasted fantastic! Easy to order, ready on time, great service, and a reasonable price. Fantastic!

I've been ordering takeout from here for years, but the last three times, the food was delivered cold. When I mentioned this on my last visit, the owner reacted visibly annoyed. He explained that they couldn't deliver the food any warmer than they did, and pointed to factors like the weather and possibly the distance from my house (I live five minutes away, by the way). What disappointed me most was that they didn't even offer an apology. At the very least, an apology would have been appropriate. Especially for an order worth €71. In short: a cold dish and an even colder reaction. For me, this is a reason not to order from here again.

Upon entering, my coat was taken, and I was quickly seated with my colleagues. We decided to have a rijsttafel (rice table), and we weren't disappointed: delicious! Delicately seasoned, some dishes slightly spicy, tender meat, and delicious vegetables. All in all: a very pleasant experience. The staff is friendly, the restrooms are clean, and the food is truly delicious. If I may offer one criticism, it's that I was sitting in the middle of the restaurant, looking out at the front. Bright headlights regularly shone directly into my eyes through the window. A curtain or Venetian blind would be a welcome addition.

€90 asking price for two containers each of nasi goreng, bami, and vegetables. Includes 20 satay sticks. A real disgrace for food that wasn't freshly prepared. Disgusting. The bag I received was leaking all over the place, probably the sauce from the vegetables.

After ordering for the third time, I can confidently say that the food at Indonesia Son is at least as good, if not better, than the first time. Always delivered on time, the staff are friendly and cheerful, and the flavors are truly fantastic. Even here in Veldhoven, I taste the warmth and authenticity as if I were sitting at a table in an Indonesian kitchen. Terima kasih banyak, makanannya enak sekali! I want to file an official complaint against the Indonesian delivery service in a new Dacia. A rather elderly woman overtook me on the right and then cut me off sharply a little further on. When I stopped and complained, she made clumsy and insulting gestures. My advice: I would immediately revoke this elderly woman's driver's license. She's a serious danger to everyone on the road, and to the delicious food as well!

Every time I come to Eindhoven I order from Restaurant Indonesia Son and it is consistently delicious! I order a few Rijsttafles to split with friends. The spice, portion, and variety are nice. They are my favorite in town. I highly recommend them.

I'll be honest. The food I ordered was lukewarm. I had to heat it up in the hot air oven. This can't be what Indonesia wants.

Het eten was zeer goed, heel lekker, de bediening was heel vriendelijk en de sfeer was ook prettig. minpuntje was de grootte van de porties, zeer kleine porties, wat wij dachten wat voor 1 persoon was, bleek voor ons beiden te zijn. Gingen dus niet met een voldaan gevoel de deur uit.

The food is a ten! The case, interior and seats are also a ten. I think the music could have been reminiscent of Indonesia, if necessary something else Asian, but preferably not South American. The wait staff looks like robots. Efficient but absolutely unable to connect with the customer.

We ordered a rice table. The food was good, but as an Indo I missed the typical taste differences between and with the dishes. But good surroundings, very friendly service and delicious food were worth the bill.

Received raw chicken delivered to my home after ordering online, sick of it. Called the restaurant the next day, but they did not listen to my report. Promise of compensation through home delivery for the raw chicken. This was also not fulfilled. This is very unfortunate! Not recommended!

At Christmas we ordered the Indonesian rice table for 2 people with noodles and coconut rice as extra. Unfortunately, both dishes turned out not to be present. Then the food itself. This rice table has nothing to do with Indonesian food. Atjar with a lump of unmelted white sugar, lots of frozen vegetables, boiled satay, tasteless peanut butter as satay sauce, chicken that was salty as broom, sajoer of frozen vegetables without coconut and really not a single dish stood out with a typical Indonesian taste for the simple reason that there was no Indonesian spices were used in the preparation. A disgrace and insult to taste, of which any Indonesian chef would be ashamed. As if the dishwashing helper has been assigned to the stove in the absence of the cook. Definitely not recommended and not a nice start to Christmas!

Had dinner for the first time with my wife and uncle. With Indian roots, I was curious about what awaited me. Pleasantly surprised by the attractive interior that immediately makes you feel at home. Staff very customer friendly. The Indian rice tables with various options, including vegetarian options, are highly recommended. The various dishes and good taste as I am used to at home. We have been to Indonesia several times to eat or take away. This time was ridiculous. We went to celebrate my mother's birthday, but on the day itself someone else joined us. There were actually 5 of us sitting at a table for 6 people. When asked if a chair could be added, the answer was NO... The chairs were gone. There was no other option… We could either eat with 5 or leave. We probably decided to leave, when we left the gentleman responded happily... he had seats available again... What a service

Delicious food, spicy as indicated on the menu. Excellent service. Tastefully decorated. Lighting at our table could be better. In my opinion, too much salt, as is often the case with Indonesian food.

Lekker Indonesisch eten. We parkeerden bijna voor de deur. We werden vriendelijk welkom geheten. We kozen voor de rijsttafels. De inrichting en het personeel waren o.k. De rechauds waren iets te hoog waardoor je niet kon zien wat je at. En je moet elke keer aan je medegasten vragen of ze iets aan willen geven wat je wilt eten. De uitleg mag wel iets beter en daardoor duidelijker. Maar alles smaakte goed en dat is het belangrijkste.

Behind us a family comes in who called in the afternoon to make a reservation. So hearing that, it will probably be fine. Because then there was room when I emailed. The people on the telephone were given a place and we, with parents in our 80s, could go again. No creative solution or an apology, how annoying... So that's why the service is very poor. So don't email... And yes, this is out of frustration!

Yesterday we had dinner at Indonesia restaurant in Son. The service was very friendly, but the timing of serving left much to be desired. After a long wait, we finally asked ourselves where our food was. To our surprise, it turned out that all the food had already been served, but had been eaten by our friends sitting next to us. So we were left with an empty stomach. The Swinkels beer was very tasty.

Meneer kwam heel agressief over. Nadat we 5 minuten te laat na de reservering kwamen. Perongeluk, in de file. Daarnaast was het eten. Niet te eten en koud. Ik heb pinda allergie. En meneer deed er gewoon pinda in. Ik ga hier noooit meer heen.

De bestelling was keurig op tijd en we hebben zelden zulk lekker eten op. Goed verwarmd en alles vooral heel smakelijk. De verschillende smaken en soorten vlees waren bijzonder mals. We hebben ervan genoten. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!
