Waitress came to bring the order. I politely say we will get a special fries. Well that big mouth that came out. Not normal. Other people on the terrace also reacted indignantly with not normal what she said. The fries were also very bad today. They won't see us here anymore.

Nice place, just a bit more than the average 'chip shop'. We go here regularly. I once had a somewhat bad order, received a nice email in response and a voucher, they show that they want to keep their customers. Staff are very friendly. Recommended.

Once again a delicious meal, large portions, good quality

We have been getting fries from De Smickel for years and are very satisfied: easy to order by telephone or online, friendly service, lots of choice and although we rarely do that, you can also enjoy a nice meal there. A terrace in the summer is also nice, but choose the side terrace, the front is located on a fairly busy road.

It was good, no more and no less.

With a name like De Smickel, expectations are of course very high. As a lover of good food, enjoying food is serious business. Upon entering we were greeted kindly and we were allowed to choose a seat. It was comfortable and the table was large enough to nicely display all the goodies. A wide range and affordable. Our order was quickly taken and served promptly. De Smickel has lived up to expectations. Since I was in Germany last week and ate Schnitzel there, I quickly chose that dish. Similar to the Schnitzel I ate last week. Enough fries to go home with a well-filled belly. Great business!

We came here very often, the last few times we were unfortunately disappointed, the fries were only half full, not much sauce, the milkshake was very hard. Too bad, it used to be better here.

You can enjoy delicious food there and they have a large menu. It is certainly not your standard snack bar.

Had a pulled pork schnitsel menu. This was very tasty and good quantity. The waitress is very friendly and does a good job. Yes, you can sit comfortably there, a good chip shop. The soft ice cream was a bit small compared to the price.

Not the cheapest snack bar in the region, but one of the better ones in terms of quality. Good service and nice staff. In addition, an excellent menu with tasty burgers! Recommended! Tip: make the terrace smoke-free. I have experienced several times now that a couple is smoking heavily on a full terrace where people were eating. There were quite a few complaints among the various visitors because the smoke lingers quite a bit under the parasols. But the staff even brought an ashtray. Good service for the smoker, of course, but the majority of visitors did not like it very much.

Wednesday evening, it's spare ribs time. All you can eat for approx €20,- or so. I enjoyed the spare ribs, which comes with some salad and fries with mayonnaise. The meat falls from the bone and is quite hot too when served. The service is not that quick and it takes quite a while to prepare new portions. I got three portions of spare ribs and in total I visited the place for an hour. It's not a quick meal. When the weather is fine, they have an outdoor terrace.

Nice eatery with a very extensive menu with many homemade products of high quality and not too expensive. Smooth operation. Enjoy if you want good food but not too fancy.

Ate for the 2nd time in a short time. Service is poor, it takes a long time before you are helped and have something on the table. Was on a Monday evening and Friday evening.

We were on our way home from vacation and wanted to grab something to eat quickly. We came across this via Google maps. Slightly more luxurious appearance than a chip shop, but not a real restaurant, because we didn't have the time or desire to dine for a long time. The food was fine. The service was a bit poor, it took quite a while for someone to come and take the food, while there were about 6 staff walking around and it was not very busy. I also had to ask twice for a cloth for the table that was dirty. Both times the answer was yes, but it didn't happen. I didn't feel like asking a 3rd time, besides I don't think this should be asked. It is nicely decorated for a chip shop. There is a wide choice of different soft ice cream desserts. Legend: 1) Terrible! I don't recommend it, I will never come back! 2) Too bad, below my expectations, I won't come again. 3) Ok, nothing wrong with that, but nothing special, nice for once. 4) Fine, worth coming back. 5) Excellent! I recommend, I will definitely come back!

Went for dinner with 8 people, we were satisfied with the main course, even though we had to find out who had the Belgian mayonnaise because she had forgotten it. When we ordered another dessert, we had to indicate three times that what she read was incorrect. Finally, we ordered FRESH STRAWBERRY coupe three times. When it came to the table there was no fresh strawberry to be seen. After immediately making a comment about this, we were allowed to choose another dessert. In our eyes, a novice employee who has been thrown in at the deep end with no experience.

Very friendly and pleasant service! Atmospheric tent! Tasty and extensive menu for a nice price! Large snitzel with good champion cream sauce, fries well done and the meat of the spare ribs slid off the bone. Delicious!

Kwaliteit normaal maar de service matig, dit wel op drukke zondagavond. 50 min wachten voor het eten kwam terwijl er verschillende tafels die duidelijker later binnenkwamen eerder eten hadden. Tevens gevraagd iets van het bestelde gerecht weg te laten en dit zat er dus gewoon op ! Matig dus allemaal.

Saté schotel gegeten, was heerlijk 🤩 Wel een beetje drukke weg langs het terras.

In het verleden hier vaak geweest was altijd top, mede daardoor was het wen grote teleurstelling. Ongeïnteresseerde personeel maken veel meters voor niks, lege glazen/ flesjes werden niet meegenomen van tafel. Champignonsaus was niet te eten zat een hele aparte smaak aan (leek wel bedorven). Kreeg wel een nieuwe schnitzel maar deze keer zonder friet.

Goed eten,kan je fijn binnen of eventueel buiten zitten,dus genieten,top.

Een leuke plaats om een frietje en/of snack te komen eten. De snacks zijn lekker, de frietjes zijn oké (klein beetje te droog). De service is relatief snel en de serveerders zijn vriendelijk.

Ik heb hier heerlijk gegeten. Alleen 1 dikke minpunt!! Deze zaak sluit om 21 uur. Wij waren er om 20 uur en ze waren al aan het ruimen,deuren alvast aan het sluiten dweilen enz. Kwamen mensen om 20.15 die eten wilde bestellen met garnalen en dat hadden ze niet...alleen omdat ze al aan t ruimen waren en het liefst nog alles kon bestellen wat makkelijk was. Vond dit op dat moment zeer klant onvriendelijk.

Goed eten voor een betaalbare prijs. Vlotte en leuke bediening. Als je een keer geen zin of tijd hebt om te koken, dan is dit een heel goede oplossing.

Het is gewoon een wat luxer cafetaria waar je voldoende ruimte hebt om aan een tafeltje te eten. Het eten wordt netjes op borden geserveerd en de keuzes die je kunt maken meer dan voldoende. Ook de prijzen zijn alleszins redelijk. De opmaak van de borden en de smakelijkheid is ruim voldoende.

Ongekend leuk Restaria in een redelijk stille wijk van Rosmalen. Lekker gegeten leuke zitjes ook buiten terras mogelijk. Lekkere spareribs

Lekkere broodjes en verzorgde borden met wat salade erbij. De prijzen vind ik net wat te hoog om er meer te komen.

Restaria de smickel is een van de best veredelde frietzaaken in de buurt top kwalteit en bediening

Kleine fietstocht vanuit Eindhoven, maar het was de moeite waard. Goed krokant gebakken friet met heerlijk stoofvlees. Het aanwezige personeel was vriendelijk en vragen werden vlot beantwoord. De zaak is groot: zeer ruim terras, de voorste ruimte bevat veel tafels en stoelen maar achter in de zaak is nog een zitgedeelte. Verder waren de toiletten schoon (en makkelijk te vinden). 1 opmerking: noem het geen mayo als het frietsaus is. 😉

Altijd lekker eten. De softijsjes zijn erg lekker en goed gevuld. Personeel is ook erg vriendelijk.

Altijd lekkere friet en snacks van De Smickel, ook hier de spareribs en onlangs een burger gegeten, erg lekker. Daarnaast is hier de service erg goed, je wordt altijd snel en vriendelijk geholpen. Zeker een aanrader.

Er is geen betere friettent in de omgeving, top

Aankomst 17.00 u na 10 min. Komt juffr.wat we wilde drinken. Bij brengen van drankjes konden we eten bestellen we bestelde sate met friet en hete kip met brood toen zei de juffr dat hebben we niet We lieten zien dat het in folder stond.inmddels was het 17.10 daarna kwan de juffr. Om 17.40 vertellen dat onze bestelling zoek geraakt was en of nog wilde wachten Laat maar komen om 17.55 uur was het dan zover mijn vrouw kip met brood maar zonder bestek en ik sate met friet de sate zo zwart als de kachel Ik zei dat ik het niet wilde Ben toen boos weggegaan want ik had maar de baas gevraagt die had geen tijd. Dit was onze erva ervarng.
