Friendly and efficient service. Nice terrace by the small harbor. Delicious toasted sandwich and pastry. Cappuccino was decent (very hot, slightly bitter). Reasonably priced. The toilet is very small, but it was clean.

Wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, and the staff is always friendly. A fun and, above all, delicious menu. Highly recommended!

Theoretically, it's an elegant place, as it's a yacht club. In reality, it's just an ordinary pub tucked away on a canal overgrown with green sludge. The food is average. The prices are high. The service is friendly.

We had a lovely lunch today at the Sonse Jachthaven. We “docked” here after a bike ride, and what a lovely spot it was. We sat comfortably in the shade under a parasol, with a beautiful view of the boats. The service was friendly and responsive, which made the experience even more pleasant. The food was fine: no culinary masterpieces, but tasty, fresh, and just good. Just right for a relaxed lunch. A small tip would be to make the terrace a bit more inviting, as the tables and chairs are mostly on asphalt, which looks a bit less atmospheric. At the same time, it is practical. All in all, the service in particular was truly top-notch: very pleasant staff! See you soon!

Lovely spot by the canal. I had the carpaccio omelette and a cappuccino, and they were both excellent! The staff is very friendly. Nice big terrace, great for watching the boats. They also have a playground with a trampoline and even showers and laundry facilities.

The food is fine and the waitresses are nice, but the manager is perhaps the rudest I have ever met. Seriously, Fawlty Towers level, without being funny. First, we ordered one gluten-free dish for our celiac daughter, he brought the food to us and when we asked “which one is the gluten-free dish?” he grunted “none of these is gluten-free!!”, as if our question were insulting. The other waitresses pointed out the gluten free dish and we ate (of course there was not a slightest hint of apology for the misunderstanding). When we were done eating we asked if we could take the empty water bottle with us, because our son had forgotten his own at home and we were about to go to an outdoors activity and stay in the hot sun for a few hours. The waitress replied that it was ok, but soon after came the manager who angrily said that we could not take the bottle away. I explained the situation and thought that his reason was some sort of safety rule about carrying glass bottles out of the restaurant, but then I found out that his reason was just to collect the statiegeld! So we spend like 7 euros for that bottle, 81 for the whole lunch, but he gets angry about losing a few cents!?! That’s next level pettiness!!

Lovely place, friendly service, lots of choice.

Very peculiar. Last Friday, I went out for dinner at the marina with my wife and daughter. My wife had ordered chicken satay, which was probably placed on the grill frozen. The outside was burnt and the inside was literally raw. After mentioning this, hardly anything was done about it; new food was offered. But that was politely declined, because your hunger disappears instantly when you sink your teeth into raw chicken.

We dined there yesterday with a group of 6 friends. We reserved a table inside just to be safe (Mother's Day). A cozy round table. Except for 3 people, everyone chose a different main course; the rest chose the asparagus, which were truly delicious... mouthwatering. The steak tips, spareribs, and fresh salmon were also very well received. The strawberry truffle dessert was the 'cherry on the cake'. Service was friendly and quick. Everything was truly delicious, top-notch!

The food is delicious, but I would recommend making a reservation in advance because it is always very busy.

Had a delicious meal, lots of fresh vegetables and fruit with the meal and dessert, friendly service, beautiful location at the Sonse marina with a large terrace, but inside there is also a lovely, atmospheric spot to eat quietly. Plenty of (free) parking available and it is easily accessible for people who depend on a wheelchair or walker, just be careful of the small steps on the terrace. Highly recommended!

A lovely landing spot during our leg of the Ons Kloosterpad (Our Monastery Trail). Spacious terrace with a view of several yachts. The food was delicious; my wife had the De Haven salad (generously filled!), and I had the Black Angus hamburger.

Really nice place next to the canal. Relaxing atmosphere. Food portions are generous. Food is relatively simple but yummy and effective. Most importantly, this restaurant has one of the fastest services I have seen in town. This place is ideal for lunch on a sunny day, as it has a large terrace.

Door de positieve recensies hier gereserveerd om te gaan eten. We werden vlug geholpen, de medewerksters waren vriendelijk. We bestelden kabeljauw, deze was oké, maar niet heel bijzonder van smaak (flauw). De frieten die we erbij gereserveerd kregen deden de deur dicht, waren super vet en hard gebakken, duidelijk was dat deze nog eens teruggegooid waren in het frituurvet. We hebben er iets van gezegd, maar kregen als antwoord van een jonge knul als bediende, “oh dat is dan jammer”. Er was geen enkele coulance. Ons zullen ze hier in ieder geval nooit meer zien.

Just like about 6 years ago, we're extremely satisfied with the harbormaster and the accompanying service. A simple, charming marina with a great restaurant, friendly staff, and good service. We enjoy coming here again and again.

What a peaceful place with delicious dishes and beautiful surroundings.

A lovely find while traveling, alongside the river in a well kept Marina. Indoor and outdoor dining with excellent food attentive staff who spoke excellent English. There is parking on site.

We arrived at 9:30 for breakfast. Stepped in, no one in sight. After a while someone arrived and quickly cleaned up. Not a friendly welcome at all. Which immediately made us want to have breakfast there. In any case, we won't be coming here again.
