Delicious food. Atmosphere was good, good service and service. Recommended

Eaten here often, normally it's always good. Ate here today, the steak was tough. The carpaccio was not good. The service was not good, had to wait a very long time. Normally it's always good, today it was really bad.

We had delicious hamburgers that were solid all around. Fast, friendly service – overall, a good place to eat.

Enjoyed this unforgettable spot in ❤️je Deventer !!! Menu card has something for everyone and not too big. Delicious food 😋 The service was a 10+, at Jackies you get a lot of personal attention from the service staff and that with a full terrace 🫶 Even when we were packing the bikes, we were approached by the kitchen staff, who were replenishing stock at the back door, if we had had a nice evening. We will definitely go back on a next visit to Deventer.

Enjoy with a capital E. Delicious oysters, then the side dish with shrimp skewer and then the main course, super tender duck including scallops and the side dish with duck liver that melts away on the tongue. To finish, the cheese "board" with again 4 delicious cheeses of increasing spiciness from cow, goat and sheep. All that with a Brand Zwaar Blond on tap, which is your best tap beer so far. Service is always top notch! That also applies to the beautiful (newly paved) terrace. Lovely between the old buildings of this beautiful city.

Tonight we had a fantastic evening at Jackies! Ellis really pampered us and all the other employees at Jackies exude hospitality. They knew my boyfriend's name right away when we arrived, everyone knew what we were celebrating and mentioned it several times during the evening. This gave us a very nice and welcome feeling. The food was incredibly good and a lot of choice for all kinds of diets. With the icing on the cake a very sweet note (handwritten!) with the bill. We will be back very soon! 10 out of 10!

Very pleasantly surprised by the personal and hospitable service. You don't often experience that on a busy Friday night in the city centre of larger places in the Netherlands. The sheltered terrace doesn't feel too big, which gives you privacy and cosiness in the right proportions. We had a delicious meal there. Recommended! William and Kees

It is then that I cannot give 6 stars for the service.. But here they really invented service! From the telephone reservation ('nice that you are coming'), to the reception and the service. Great! The food was also incredibly tasty, lots of choices and a nice concept. Really highly recommended!

It was my first time there, but definitely not the last. The service was excellent, the food was amazing and absolutely delicious. Everything was prepared with great care. You truly felt like part of a royal family. At the end of the evening, we received the bill in an incredibly warm and personal way – with a handwritten card! It was such a thoughtful and kind gesture that made our evening feel truly special. What wonderful service!

Yesterday for the 3rd time we went to eat at Jackies. And every time everything is perfect. Very friendly and hospitable service. Delicious food and nice wines! We would love to come back again!

Unfortunately I cannot recommend the restaurant. It is MUCH TOO EXPENSIVE for the mediocre and few eaters. I chose salmon as the main course and only received a very small piece of salmon with some watery spinach. After 3 minutes I was finished eating and still hungry. My partner's steak was fried welldone instead of medium-rare as he requested. We were given the feeling that a correction was not wanted. The food is absolutely nothing special either. the service is good!

We had a really delicious meal. We went for the 3-course menu. The brioche with marinated shrimp melted on your tongue. Really delicious. The tuna burger as a main course. A feast for the eyes as it was presented. Almost a shame to eat it. Deliciously tender and prepared just right. With a perfect ending in the form of the chocolate fudge.

You are treated here as a guest, and with care, very tasty food and drinks. Super atmosphere and very friendly staff. Highly recommended. We sat outside, great spot, opposite the entrance, the whole evening in the sun. Wonderful. Would love to come back again.

Yesterday evening, the two of us went to Jackies for dinner 'spontaneously'. For us, the first time there. We were welcomed very friendly, got a nice table, after which Loes introduced herself as our regular waitress. And Loes did a great job! The food was really incredibly well prepared. We enjoyed it. You can bet we'll be back soon.

We had a delicious meal again and good service from Stefan and Vera. The carpacio and Tuna Seaviche were a good choice as a starter. Then enjoyed the steaks. The oysters were also a success ;)

Had a really great experience, beyond expectations. Not cheap but totally commensurate with the food and service!

Immediately received a warm welcome upon arrival. Welcome drink, basket of fresh warm bread with delicious creamy spread! Very extensive menu with amusing descriptions of really delicious dishes! However, the behavior of the staff made it complete. Thanks to the attention they gave us, we really felt like princes and princesses! So thoroughly enjoyed it!

Very friendly staff and delicious food. You pay a fixed price for a 2- or 3-course dinner. That may seem like a lot at first, but a welcome drink, bottle of water and bread with spread is included. We enjoyed the food and will definitely return when we are in Deventer again.

We had dinner here in small company in honor of our wedding. The communication beforehand was very friendly and helpful. We were given a table in a partially separate room, which was perfect for this occasion. The food and drinks were good, and the service was great - with a lot of attention and coordination to us. Eeen bijzondere plezierige eetgelegenheid in het prachtige Deventer. Het is aan te raden om vooraf te reserveren! We werden zeer gastvrij ontvangen met een drankje vooraf. Er is een keuze tussen een twee of driegangenmenu met veel opties om aan te vullen. Kortom een gevarieerde keuze mogelijk.

Had a fantastic evening, partly because of Brian, Stijn and Niels. Super food, super service, fantastic atmosphere. Not a single point for improvement, it was great! My mother is ill and everything was arranged for her too. We therefore had a very comfortable and relaxed evening. Thanks again!

We came here because of the good reviews. The restaurant was well attended, luckily we had reserved. We sat down in the basement, romantic atmosphere. We had a mixed starter plate and the sushi was particularly good. The main courses, on the other hand, were very disappointing. My steak was super tough, the fries were only lukewarm. My partner's main course wasn't anything special either. That's why we both didn't eat some things. We expected more for the high price. The service was very friendly, but the restaurant is not worth recommending for me.

Had dinner here on Sunday evening with just the two of us, the first time for me and I am completely convinced. The food is incredibly tasty, hot, the steak cooked well as requested. The interior is very nice and creates a good atmosphere. We sat downstairs with Stijn & Vera, what nice and pleasant people. One of the best meal we had in Deventer. Very good service here. Food were excellent and beautiful. Bread, bottle of water and welcome drink are included with the price. You can choose 2 or 3 courses with fixed price. Above that you can order drink or appetizer in the menu. We chose 3 courses menu, all excellent 👌 Especially scallops, so delicious 😋

The fun started the day before we got there. We walked in to make a reservation and were warmly welcomed by Brian. Enjoyed dinner yesterday. A top restaurant in every respect. The staff are so friendly; it feels like you have a group of friends.

The three of us had a fantastic meal. The service was really nice and the quality of the dishes was also great. This is an absolute must!

Starter was very good. Kind of spare ribs but without bone. Main course was ridiculous. The request was for the Lady Steak "medium / well done" but without blood. But this was "Shoe sole please". I am admittedly picky when it comes to meat, but fortunately I know enough restaurants that know how to present an excellent piece of meat when I ask for "well done / medium but no blood". You can also ask for my insight if you pay the current high price in the catering industry. The price-quality ratio here is not good.

Leuke sfeer. Wij zaten in de kelder ( dus bij reserveren aangeven of je dat wel/niet wil) Eten was lekker. Bediening wel aanwezig. Te vond ik. Zonder dat erom gevraagd wordt schenken ze je water steeds bij. Jacky experience: Men vraagt van te voren of je deze met of zonder alcohol wil! Creme Brûlée echt een aanrader, erg lekker en de manier van opdienen was sensationeel. Kortom gewoon daar gaan eten.

Excellent food. Loes was a great server! If you sit upstairs, the toilets are too far away, namely in the basement with steep stairs. They made a nice surprise for my daughter's birthday.

Jackies is attractively decorated. The welcome was very professional and friendly. They took our theater visit into account. Through the earphones, all employees appeared to be aware of it. Explanation of the dishes and suggestions were great. We ended with a coffee outside where the blankets were ready. In short, a great experience in all areas. Here you as a guest are 100% the center of attention in an attractive environment with refined dishes.

Eten was Ok, zeker niet de prijs waard, bij binnenkomst word er al een soort van (huis) drankje opgedrongen waardoor je direct al aan de 2 gangen prijs vast zit. Vlees was perfect gegaard ( medium/rear) echter werd gesneden opgediend en dus koud voordat het op was en we aten echt niet heel traag.. De kaart is prijstechnisch zeer verwarrend waardoor je denk een best eerlijke prijs te betalen voor hetgene je opgediend kreeg, echter bij de eindafrekening kregen we een beetje de nasmaak er soort van ingeluisd te zijn... nadat ze de kaart erbij pakten om eea uit te leggen klopt het wel met wat er (na uitleg) op de kaart staat maar zoals al gezegd erg verwarrend opgesteld en achteraf dus zeker niet the bang for your buck die verwacht had mogen worden, al met al krappe 3 ster, niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

We hebben hier prima gegeten. Het 2- of 3-gangen keuzemenu lijkt niet goedkoop, maar het is inclusief een welkomstcocktail, brood en tafelwater, en dan valt de eindafrekening best mee. Smakelijke en smaakvol opgediende gerechten. Ik had een prima steak van knolselderij, aanrader. Als je bakje frites of mayo leeg is, kan je gewoon bijvragen, netjes. De “geroosterde ananas” had wat mij betreft wel wat beter geroosterd mogen worden, leken nu gewoon stukjes verse ananas. Trendy inrichting en attente bediening. Het was deze woensdagavond helemaal vol, op drie etages, reserveren is dus aanbevolen. In het weekend zijn er 2 start-rondes, doordeweeks kun je op elk tijdstip beginnen.

We had something to celebrate. I ended up at Jackies purely by chance. I've heard something about it, but it's still half an hour's drive for us. What a huge surprise. Highly recommended on all counts. Perhaps most special: how do you get such a large team of employees to be so involved, so personal, so hospitable. Truly an experience... not just food. The fact that both the food and the wine were exceptionally good is the reason for us to write this review (we rarely do that). Thanks for this fantastic evening. For Job: what a great wine choice.

Wow! What a nice restaurant and what a relief, that service! Really taken care of down to the last detail and super attentive. The food is super tasty too. A nice detail is the welcome drink mixed at the table and the accompanying sandwich with salted caramel butter. And afterwards the personal message from those who helped us was a warm surprise. The photo shows the tuna steak. Definitely recommended! Start with a very beautiful and tasty dragon sushi roll. You should also try it.

Spent a night in Deventer with my boyfriend, and had a delicious meal here together in the evening. Very good service, good atmosphere, good food. The portions were not too big nor too small, and it was quite an experience. Definitely planning to come back when we are in Deventer again.

Nice and excellent service, but the pata negra, aged for 36 months, was just from the Jumbo, as the Spanish daughter of a restaurant owner I know very well what it should be like. Furthermore, the food was fine but not very hot.

I've never been to such a cool place before. They take your jackets at the door and they gave us free elderflower mimosas. What a start to a great dinner! I recommend the dragon roll sushi, it was divine. The staff was very nice. There are free tampons in the bathrooms which was greatly appreciated. Overall, a perfect spot for a special night!

During one night we had an excellent evening at Jackies. After we were offered another table we enjoyed the food and service. We were particularly struck by the friendliness of the staff. Unfortunately, there is not enough such good hospitality in the west of the country. We will definitely come back here again.

We've been wanting to go to Jackie's for a while. We had a wonderful evening. Even though the room where we were sitting is not very large, we were comfortably seated in a corner. We were welcomed and given a house cocktail, 2 bottles of water (because I wanted flat and my husband wanted sparkling) and bread with caramel sea salt butter. The 3 course menu was delicious! The surprise platter in advance was very tasty with 5 different starters. I had the stew as a main course and it was very good! My husband had the duck breast, also delicious. The table was always cleaned between courses and our water glasses were always refilled by our hosts Stijn and Thijs. Our desserts (tiramisu and crème brulee) were also very tasty. When we got the bill there was a handwritten note thanking us for coming, really nice. Our coats were collected and we were helped nicely. In short, a great evening with delicious food and very friendly staff!

Mooi restaurant. Eten viel echt tegen. Twee keer het hoofdgerecht retour (droog en smakeloos). Opvallend veel 'sauzen' bij voor gerecht (proeverij) en hoofdgerecht vis. Miste hierdoor de pure smaak van het eten. Rib Eye was aan 1 kant medium rare en ander deel bijna doorbakken. Dit i.c.m. met alleen patat bij de hoofdgerechten vonden we het allemaal wat erg mager en daarmee duur voor wat je krijgt. Bediening stond open voor feedback. Deel van hoofdgerecht is gecorrigeerd op de rekening. Maar uit eten gaan waarbij 1 persoon pas later eet terwijl de rest nagenoeg klaar is blijft jammer. Had er meer van verwacht. In deze ben je bij een gemiddeld eetcafé beter af. Niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

It was delicious, nice atmosphere!

Wederom een superervaring hier gehad. Je voelt je hier echt gast en dat komt door het personeel wat hier werkt. De gerechten waren allemaal even goed. Heerlijke oesters vooraf, dan coquilles en ceviche en als hoofd kabeljauw en wildstoof. Er wordt met passie vertelt over de bijpassende wijnen en niet flauw doen met drupjes wijn voor degene die moet rijden. Vooraf verrast door onze dochter met een glas champagne. Superleuk allemaal.
