Nice concept, very good service, the only downside is the small tables.

We've been wanting to go to Jackie's for a while. We had a wonderful evening. Even though the room where we were sitting is not very large, we were comfortably seated in a corner. We were welcomed and given a house cocktail, 2 bottles of water (because I wanted flat and my husband wanted sparkling) and bread with caramel sea salt butter. The 3 course menu was delicious! The surprise platter in advance was very tasty with 5 different starters. I had the stew as a main course and it was very good! My husband had the duck breast, also delicious. The table was always cleaned between courses and our water glasses were always refilled by our hosts Stijn and Thijs. Our desserts (tiramisu and crème brulee) were also very tasty. When we got the bill there was a handwritten note thanking us for coming, really nice. Our coats were collected and we were helped nicely. In short, a great evening with delicious food and very friendly staff!

Enjoyed the Christmas package on Christmas Eve. We were kindly guided to our table, after which we were welcomed by our hostess and host for the evening. We had a delicious meal and were provided with a drink every time. At the end of the evening, our coats were handed over and we were kindly led outside.

What a party it is when you come and eat here. The personal service in combination with perfect dishes makes eating here a special experience. I celebrated my birthday here in style. A big 10.

Had a delicious meal here with a large group in the attractively decorated basement of an old building in the pleasant city center of Deventer. Excellent menu with surprising dishes. The starter with five small bites was delicious, as was the venison steak. Atmospheric restaurant with friendly service.

We ended up at Jackies, upon recommendation from a relative, and it was fantastic! The personal service was great, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was super cozy! 🥰 Truly enjoyed the complimentary welcoming cava cocktail and appreciated the bottles of water during dinner, which is generally not a custom in Holland... We highly recommend trying this restaurant and will definitely be back the next time we're visiting Holland!

Jackies in Deventer is a very nice address. We took the December 3-course menu. We thought it would be a surprise menu, but you could simply choose from a number of dishes. Don't expect culinary delights, but the sushi, shrimp croquettes and tuna steak were excellently prepared and nicely presented. Including an aperitif and "wine arrangement", which means that you can try unlimited house wine, something we have never seen before. Unlimited in moderation of course :-) An extra mention for the great service, Rosanne and Annette. Many restaurants, including more luxurious ones, can take an example from Jackies on that point. It's also nice that the restaurant opens early, so you don't have to walk around for a few hours after an afternoon of shopping in Deventer. In short, a great experience!

Very tasty meal here. All five mixed starters were delicious, as was the duck breast. My table companions enjoyed the ceviche, the scallops and the vegetarian curry. And our hostess Loes took care of the rest. Absolutely recommended!

We drove from Loosdrecht and Amersfoort because the food, service and atmosphere are very good. Upon arrival, a delicious drink and a sandwich with spreads The menu is top, the dishes very tasty and our waitress was wonderfully relaxed, pleasant and could give us good advice. Toen we in de file kwamen op de A1, ivm ongeluk, probeerde we steeds het restaurant te bellen. Na tientallen pogingen eindelijk iemand aan de lijn. Verteld dat we later zouden arriveren en men zou de tafel proberen vrij te houden. Een uur later, met enorme trek natuurlijk, kwamen we aan en zeiden ze dat we nog een half uur moesten wachten. We vinden dit een slechte service en zijn weggegaan. Tevens laten ze honden in hun restaurant, waar dit restaurant niet voor geschikt is, veel te klein.

Very nice restaurant! I had passed my propaedeutic certificate and my parents had let the restaurant know. All the staff congratulated me and I received a welcome gift and a special dessert, super thoughtful! I've never really experienced that before. Together with the delicious food and the cozy atmosphere, I really had a nice evening. Thank you Jackies!

Jackies is - especially after our last visit - by far our most favorite restaurant. Too bad we live so far away.

Ate here with my family last Saturday. We had to leave again at 8:15 PM and that went very well. We came in with table water and a welcome drink, both with and without alcohol. We immediately received the card and everything went smoothly. Delicious sandwich with caramel sea salt butter! And the table was always cleaned nicely in between! The service was friendly and super fast, immediately set up and taken out. Drinks were refilled immediately and we never had to wait. We were also allowed to taste the house rose! It was really very tasty!!! The food was also super tasty, the lady steak is really small but the taste was really good! The crème brule also had a nice fire, which made it a nice spectacular dessert. It was also my sister's birthday and they handled it very quickly and nicely. All in all, nice service!! Super tasty food! And a very nice atmosphere! Thanks again for the nice evening!

What an experience, the door was held open, we were taken to our table, the waitress and waiter introduced themselves nicely and wished us a pleasant evening, drink with bubbles on the house, water was also continuously served. The food was also very tasty and when we finished we received a handwritten bill with a personal touch. Our coats were collected and we were escorted outside again and wished us a nice evening. These young people deserve a big compliment!!! Really very polite and it really feels like a nice evening out.

We zitten boven met een laag plafond. Leuke ervaring hier. Bezoek ook de wijnwinkel aan de overkant. Superleuke winkel en een leuke verkoper.

Very good staff. Experiences like this are unique. You are treated as you would wish in a restaurant, where you feel like a respected guest. The menu is very diverse with creative dishes. It was difficult to choose from so many different creations, not to mention the taste. The food is incredibly good in terms of preparation and quality, both meat, fish and vegetables. We would make a detour for Jackies and I can recommend that to everyone!

The staff of this top restaurant is extremely hospitable and kind. I haven't had such a good meal at Jackies in a long time. We spent an hour in the car, but this evening was an experience we will not forget. That's different in our area. Until next time.

We had a very nice evening. Had a nice table by the window. Besides, you'll be fine everywhere, because it looks very good and attractive everywhere. The service was fantastic and personal. And the food was great too. Highly recommended.

Heard many positive stories in advance, but the price quality is not right. Starter took too long and main course was not hot enough. With the dessert (creme brulee) the spirit (light dessert) was too noticeable. Ordering extra vegetables on a 3-course menu of €55 is not very customer-friendly. Wine list very expensive and drinks are served quickly. So overall not a good experience and therefore not recommended.

Very large restaurant in Deventer. The concept with the given menus plus extras is interesting, but also makes sense given the size and number of guests. Nevertheless, the taste was not convincing. The tuna was okay but overcooked. The meat of the duck is very firm and stringy. Inside, the ambience seems very appealing; outside it is pragmatic but not uncomfortable. The service was initially attentive, but then it slowed down. It was very busy at times and had the feel of a canteen due to its size. The wine selection is ok. For a nice evening for two, I would look for something different. The prices are a bit too high for the overall experience.

Very good food & fast service (really un-Dutch good!). Well: due to the speed, the service takes a lot and listens/asks (too) little, which is very New York :-), but in terms of experience it is slightly less fun. Wow wow wow. Dit was de 4e keer eten bij onze Deventerse vrienden van Jackies. Geen echte vrienden zijn het, maar zo laten ze het ons altijd wel voelen. Zeer betrokken, ontzettend gastvrij en op de juiste wijze amicaal om je echt thuis te voelen en je het gevoel te geven dat ze het echt leuk vinden dat je bij hen komt eten. Op een nazomerse avond buiten zitten in de straat bij dit restaurant voelt alsof je even een paar uur op vakantie bent in een warm land. De lichtjes, de opgedekte tafel, alles klopt. Daar waar we ook 2x binnen hebben gegeten, was dit de 2e keer buiten en eigenlijk is dat nog meer een beleving dan binnen bij Jackies. Over het eten kan je niets anders zeggen dat fan-tas-tisch! Hun Pata Negra en Carpaccio kun je niet vergelijken met andere restaurants! Die moet je echt proeven als je bij hen op bezoek gaat! De hoofdgerechten zijn allemaal lekker en uit eerdere bezoeken kan ik zeggen dat hun steaks werkelijk subliem zijn. Ik had deze avond een heerlijke kreeft en die was verrukkelijk. Lekker ordinair kreeft eten ala Robertjan van B&B Vol Liefde maar dan zonder hamers en hakbijlen ;) Als dessert had ik een glasje port met een 5 sterren kaasplankje. Vooral hun blauwe kaas was echt de lekkerste die ik ooit heb gekregen. Zijn er dan helemaal geen minpunten? Jawel. 1 hele dikke. De avond vliegt veel te snel voorbij! Tot de volgende keer,vrienden!

Superleuke sfeer en zeer vriendelijk personeel. Was een verjaardagscadeau voor mijn vriendin en had haar geen beter kado kunnen geven dankzij Jackies concept. Gerechten waren mooi opgemaakt en de chocobol maakte het echt af. We hebben een superleuke avond gehad.

Very nice neat restaurant in Deventer. We were helped by a permanent employee so we didn't always have someone else at the table. The food tasted good and the portions were sufficient for us. The employees looked neat and tidy and were all friendly.

The food was excellent, special flavors really surprised us (positively) we took the menus for two people where you get something of everything. We had dinner here with 2 people on the terrace. Service is friendly and the restaurant has a nice concept. You can choose from 2 or 3 courses and then choose something from the menu for a fixed price. Depending on the dish, an additional charge may apply. So you cannot order just a main course separately. But you do get extras such as a welcome drink, sandwich and a bottle of water which is included. We thought this was a nice experience, slightly different than most restaurants.

Eten was ontzettend goed en personeel heel erg vriendelijk. Wij hadden om 17:30 een tafel gereserveerd en dan mag je maar 2 uur gebruik maken van de tafel zodat er nog een nieuwe shift na kan komen. We waren met 4 volwassenen en 2 kinderen. Je hebt de keus uit een 2 of 3 gangen diner. Er is een kinderkaart en deze bestaat uit een 3 gangen diner. Wat betreft het eten hadden we gevraagd of er een kindergerecht kon komen met patat ipv rijst was goed maar kwam toch met rijst. Ketchup ipv mayonaise tot 2 keer gevraagd kwam niet. Onze zoon kreeg een verkeerd gerecht gereserveerd, kan gebeuren natuurlijk en kreeg uiteindelijk het goede gerecht geserveerd maar zorgt wel voor vertraging. Wat ik wel heel slecht vond is dat we nog met het hoofdgerecht bezig waren er al gesommeerd werd dat we moesten afronden omdat de tijd er op zat. De kinderen zouden nog een nagerecht krijgen maar gezien de tijd mocht dat niet meer. Je betaalt behoorlijk wat geld voor de gerechten en dan vind ik het persoonlijk ook fijn om hier rustig van te kunnen genieten. Daarnaast vind ik het niet aan de gasten om de planning van het eten in de gaten te houden. Er had rekening gehouden kunnen worden met 3 gangen menu van de kids. Dus al met al: eten ontzettend goed. Personeel is vriendelijk maar gezien de manier van werken zou ik hier niet meer naar toe gaan omdat ik het heel belangrijk vind dat je relax kan kan eten zonder dat je op de klok moet kijken.

Een ontzettend gezellige avond gehad bij Jackies met heerlijk eten en prima bediening. Bij dit restaurant word je echt als gast behandeld en is het eten en de bediening (Kai!) uitstekend. Gelijk bij ontvangst krijg je een lekker welkomstdrankje en is het water bij de prijs inbegrepen. De kaart is gevarieerd en uitgebreid. Wij hadden het 3 gangen menu en hebben van elke gang genoten. Ook de wijnen waren prima. Omdat het prachtig weer was hebben we lekker buiten kunnen eten en konden we ook na het eten zonder problemen nog een tijdje blijven zitten. Kortom, een hele leuke avond en een aanrader voor iedereen!

Had dinner and drinks here with a group of friends. I have rarely had such a good experience in a restaurant. Service is of paramount importance and the flavors of the cocktails and dishes are incredibly tasty and unique. All dishes have special but very likeable compositions. the cocktails too, good proportions and some surprisingly tasty new ones too! Service was excellent!

Um dieses Restaurant in der Altstadt reiht sich eine imponierende Story. "New York in Deventer!" Gleich zwei weitere Bistros plus dem nebenan liegenden "Nr11" werden unter gleicher Regie in Deventer angeboten. Das Ambiente ist chic und trendy; das Publikum jung.; das schmucke Gebäude aus der Jahrhundertwende hat eine lange Tradition. Kurzum: alles ist mondän und zugleich zeitgemäß. "Unsere Leidenschaft ist es, unseren Gästen ein unvergessliches Erlebnis zu bieten!" ist der vollmundige Wahlspruch des Hauses bzw. der Betreiber. (Wissenswert ist, dass Jackies nicht zu den bestbewertesten 500 Restaurants der Niederlande zählt: vgl. Lekker 2024). Der Service ist flott, freundlich und aufwendig. Das Essen ist eine feine Bistro Küche zu moderaten Preisen. Wir ... haben den zarten "Fehler" gemacht, als Zweitgericht gg. Aufpreis die empfohlene Fischplatte für zwei Personen zu bestellen, die kulinarisch wenig überzeugte: matschiger Kabeljau, trockene Lachsportion, nicht durchgegarter Hummer ( der jedoch problemlos und spontan ersetzt wurde. ) Fazit: Zum Gourmet Restaurant mit Intension zum Detail ist der Weg wohl noch offen.
