We've been coming to Juffrouw Tok for years and have always thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Unfortunately, our last visit was quite disappointing, leading us to conclude that this was probably our last. While the service remained friendly and attentive—actually the only positive aspect of the evening—the cuisine left much to be desired. The herb butter was gone, which was a disappointing start. The carpaccio was served with a dressing that didn't complement the dish at all, causing the flavors to clash rather than complement each other. The biggest disappointment was the stew, which contained literally only one small piece of chicken. That's not what you expect, especially not from a dish that's normally supposed to be generously filled. We're sad to say, but Juffrouw Tok is simply not as good as it once was. The quality has clearly declined, which is a shame for a restaurant we've enjoyed visiting for years.

The food was fine, nothing special. The dessert was delicious. But quite pricey for what you get. The service could be much better.

The tastiest chicken (piri piri) I've ever eaten. It's delicious, and no one bats an eye. The service is good, friendly, and fast. The decor is nice; it was a bit chilly inside, but that was forgotten once the food arrived.

Testoran is a restaurant I always visit when I'm in the Netherlands, but this time I was very unhappy. The chicken was dry, the service was terrible, and the ilhinalaka was zero.

The chicken was inedible... It tasted like old chicken and old oil grease. We've been to the one in Ede before, and you really can't compare it to this. My wife got sick and had to throw up everything. We're never going back!

We weren’t really sure what to expect because the reviews were very mixed. Some were amazing, others not so much. But honestly… we were so pleasantly surprised! The chicken, which is their signature dish, was super tasty. Well seasoned, juicy, just really good. And the tomato and onion salad? It immediately took me back to Brazil. So simple, yet so full of flavor and feeling. I had read a lot of complaints about the service, but that wasn’t our experience at all. The staff was really friendly and welcoming, especially with our little one. Very child-friendly, which made a big difference. The place is simple, cozy, and has a very relaxed, down-to-earth vibe. Honestly, it reminded me of home in the best way. Great food, great prices, lovely people. We’re definitely coming back… and next time, maybe I’ll try something other than the chicken. Or maybe not 😄

Ridiculously delicious chicken piri piri 🐔 and everything else was great too! 👍🏼 Once you come here you will definitely be addicted to the spicy poultry so be warned…

After a long time I went to eat here again. It gets three stars because our waiter was very friendly and my husband really liked piri piri chicken. But we liked the main courses, the shrimp in filo pastry, the shrimp salad (if I would have smelled it like that at home, I wouldn't have eaten it, unfortunately). The Steak thought it was small but pricey and we missed some vegetables. We all liked the fries. And the desserts were also very tasty. That's why 3 stars. But in terms of coziness and atmosphere, it is a bit outdated, but the staff was friendly. We won't be there again. We also thought it was too pricey for what and how much we got... but that could of course be good for others.

Good place to have a portuguese style chiken. Frango da guia style. The closest to portuguese style grilled chicken I could find in The Netherlands

We had the piri piri chicken and it was tasty. The restaurant was attractive, but in our opinion it could use more lighting.

We (and our offspring) have been coming here for almost a quarter of a century. Always a warm welcome, always perfect Piri-piri; tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. We will soon treat our grandson to a Juffrouw Tok experience and perhaps he can write a similar review later. Tok-junior must follow his father in the kitchen!

We have enjoyed the piri piri very spicy. It was really tasty. I like it also because the portions are quite big, so the relation between price, quantity and quality is really good. We will come back.

The steak was very tasty it didn't taste like plastic but they don't ask how the steak should be cooked but the chicken was delicious and the service was very fast and friendly

I think it was the first and last time we went. The chicken was still reasonable, but the rest was really mediocre. The corn on the cob was tough, the fries limp, the soup forgotten, drinks mixed up. The interior is also mediocre in terms of furnishings. Perhaps fine for a quick bite, but it is just too pricey for that.

Very small portions, paying for more fries €3.10, paying for mayonnaise, paying extra for a drop more piri and cup of tea €3.45 is disproportionate for what you receive.

Delicious food! Me and my friend have been here for less than half an hour and everything was already gone. it was not busy, we were seated immediately. waitress was very fast and sweet. We ordered food and less than 5 minutes later it was already there, so we didn't have high expectations, but it was absurdly delicious. Both ordered without sauce and that was completely correct. the schnitzel and piri piri chicken are delicious, as are the fries and applesauce. everything was still hot, we enjoyed it. the food is delicious and the price is also great. we will definitely come back. It's just a shame that they don't really have outdoor areas and that it is so incredibly dark inside. the entire tent could use some freshening up.

Mijn dochter heeft mij uitgenodigd om hier te eten. Maar dat viel tegen, een menu besteld maar de soep liet wel heel lang op zich wachten. Na 2 keer dat aangegeven te hebben en 20 min verder kwamen ze met de soep. Bestelde kip zonder piri piri was wel met piri piri. Frisdrank besteld, maar je krijgt een flesje met een rietje. Daarom een glas met ijs besteld, waarbij ze mij raar aankeken. Bediening was ook niet echt alert vaak de hand op moeten steken maar dat werd niet gezien. Al met al geen prettige ervaring ondanks deze wel eens anders is geweest.

What was once a good chicken restaurant is now an outdated mess with poor service. Now we have decided that this is the last time we will be there. my daughter got very sick from the food! The chicken is dry and not at all like the Piri-Piri was. Fries are okay, but 1 euro for half a cup of mayo. Not normal. The play area is a filthy mess with black walls covered in grease. The waitress lady couldn't help but smile. Never again...

Had a nice dinner with family, 6 adults and 5 children. Booked in advance. Friendly service. It's not without reason that we keep coming back 👌🏼

This appears on Google as a child-friendly restaurant in Eindhoven. Partly because of the playroom. We walked in and immediately thought it was very dated. The playroom is very sad. It's really a small cage with some dirty old toys. Definitely not what Miss Tok's site predicts. The food was better than expected. The service okay. But the whole restaurant, the toilet, the tables and chairs all look old. Big cobwebs in the toilet... No, not a second time for us.

A staple in Eindhoven. But this is just eating a lot for mostly dry or oily chicken in some vague spices for little money. Service was absolutely slow.

Geweldig lekkere kip piri piri .by far de lekkerste van Nederland

De carpaccio was anders dan ik gewend ben .. geen kaas geen pijnboompitjes maar croutons die overigens doordrenkt waren , de dressing geen idee .die bestel ik iig niet weer , de kip Piri Piri was redelijk ,helaas veel kleine bot stukjes in het vlees en sommige stukjes waren droog en aangebrand waar andere stukjes weer sappig mals en perfect bereid, de sfeer vond ik wat karig 2 soorten stoelen , houten met riet en lederen , nou die houten mogen xe vervangen. Bediening was goed . Dus overal 4****

Op doordeweekse avond weer heerlijk genoten van de kip piri piri. De nieuwe stoelen zitten top. Tot snel weer

Het eten was heerlijk. Lekker met je handen kluiven mag. De kip piri piri. Was zo geweldig. Lekker vers. En de personeel was zeer gastvrij.

We komen met een paar vrienden hier al jaren regelmatig. Eten altijd de smakelijke kip piri piri xxl met friet. Elke keer leuk uitje. Altijd goede en vriendelijke service. Zullen ook komende 40 jaar indien mogelijk hier regelmatig terugkomen.

Was ontzettend leuk. Intiem. Prima om bij te kletsen met iemand die je maanden niet hebt gezien. Eten was er sneller dan we dachten

Sfeer is prima voor wat je ervan kunt verwachten, het eten is onder de maat! Frietjes lijken wel 2x gefrituurd te zijn met heel veel kleine stukjes. De kip piri piri was goed op smaak maar zag er niet smakelijk uit. Het vel was niet mals maar droog en hard, alsof deze al een paar uren onder de warmte lamp had gelegen. Voor een échte kip tent, kan dit helemaal niet door de beugel. De kippentent op de Gerardusmarkt is beter en malser! Toetjes waren lekker, de bediening verder vriendelijk gewoon. Maar wij komen er niet meer terug in ieder geval :-(

Leuk concept. Ik eet hier altijd kip piri piri, patat, maiskolf en rauwkostsalade. Vers eten, goed op smaak, aardig personeel. Snel.

Amazing food just great chicken piripiri made on charcoal bbq just amazing, also shrimp piripiri is a must try if you enjoy shrimp and some spice. Great atmosphere very spacious, kid friendly they even have a game room with some toys for the kids. Great service very, friendly staff. Definitely coming back

Kip eten is zo ongeveer onze grootste hobby, en dat is heerlijk en goed te doen bij Juffrouw Tok! Lekker pittig, goed porties en vriendelijk personeel zorgen ervoor dat we toch weer terug zullen komen!😉😋

Eet je kip, wip hierbinnen!! De heerlijkste kip 🐔 piripiri 🌶️ met heerlijke huisgemaakte frietjes🍟erbij. Al ruim 28 jaar een restaurant waarbij de basis van de menukaart onveranderd (!!) is en prima de naam dekt van naam van het restaurant "Juffrouw Tok" 😊😊 ...

Heerlijk gegeten in een gemoedelijke sfeer en zeer kind vriendelijk!

Komen hier al jaren. Helaas minder goede kwaliteit kip dan vroeger. Ook de bereiding lijkt net anders te zijn. Frietjes zijn nog steeds top! Kleine update qua interieur zou ook niet verkeerd zijn.

Heerlijk als je van kip houd bereid op zijn Portugees met of zonder piri piri

Gewoon de meest lekkere gegrilde kip aller tijden en vergis je niet: dat vergt enige skills want zo goed grillen kan niet iedereen. Altijd zeer vriendelijk naar de gasten en kinderen toe. De sfeer is er altijd gezellig en aangenaam. Het team doet zijn uiterste best voor zowel de bereiding van de kip als de vriendelijkheid naar de gasten toe, zelfs als het erg druk is voel je je toch nog gezien als gast en dit is al zolang ik hier kom (de eerste keer was 18jr geleden). Koffie is ook erg goed en ze hebben een professionele machine staan. Toppers!!! Dankjewel Juffrouw Tok Eindhoven voor het lekkere eten en gezellige gastvrije sfeer!! 👍

Het was onze eerste keer en laatste keer. Budget Kip restaurant dat kind vriendelijk zou zijn als je googled naar kind-vriendelijke restaurants Eindhoven. Het eten was OK en personeel vriendelijk. Verwacht niks te fancy, jammer genoeg weinig lekkere sauzen en de "hot" saus was vooral olie met wat chili flakes. Presentie was matig. Je krijgt bijvoorbeeld een Hoegaarden biertje in een Leffe glas. En de kinderhoek was verschrikkelijk. De muren zijn zwart van de vieze kinderhandjes, net zoals al het speelgoed. Al het speelgoed kapot en versleten met op de voorgrond een engeltalige kinderfilm op met schel hard geluid.

Speciaal voor de kinderen dit restaurant uitgekozen. Echter bij binnenkomst bleek de speelkamer een achteraf hokje waar het vies was en ze alleen een Engelse film konden kijken. Verder niets om mee te spelen. Teleurstelling alom als de kinderen verwachten hier leuk te kunnen spelen. Denk dat menig wachtkamer van de huisarts aantrekkelijker is voor kinderen om zich te vermaken. Tevens grenst deze speelkamer aan de voorraadopslag die gewoon toegankelijk is voor de kleintjes. Wij zoeken even verder naar iets anders!

Het eten was er érg snel! Verder heerlijk

Mijn moeder van in de tachtig had nog een etentje tegoed en ze vindt Juffrouw Tok leuk. En terecht. Onze kleinzoon ook meegenomen, dan vindt ze het nóg leuker. Het is gezellig, de menukaart niet te uitgebreid, iets dat ik een pré vind. Je komt er natuurlijk voor de kip pirri pirri maar in ieder geval iets met kip. Mijn moeder en ik een pirri pirri large, de kleinzoon een kleine portie pirri pirri zonder pirri pirri, zodat de kip niet te pittig is. De dessertkaart is eenvoudig en doeltreffend, met wat ijs waaronder Dame Blanche en nog wat meer klassieke coups. Allemaal prima. De voorgerechten overigens, vond ik wat mijn smaak betreft wat minder. Leuk om af en toe eens binnen te wippen en lekker te kluiven maar verwacht geen haute cuisine, gewoon lekker buffelen. Minpuntje: ik miste iets in de friet, die was vroeger anders gekruid en lekkerder daardoor. Afsluiten met een pluim voor de bediening, altijd even vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
