Very cozy, good food, and very friendly service!

We walked around with a group, visiting the animals, and then enjoyed a delicious meal. They had a variety of pancakes. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Wheelchair accessible.

The food was fine, and there is also a super nice playground outside. However, the meal took a very long time, well over 50 minutes. Even though it wasn't very busy anymore when we arrived and was almost empty. We found this to be very long. Also, the waitresses could walk around a bit more often to take drink orders. When you wave, the staff are busy talking to each other instead of looking around or walking around. A point for improvement.

Just had a nice lunch. I was completely alone at first, but later more and more people trickled in. Ordered lunch and it tasted good. The seasonal soup was a courgette soup this time, with some pieces of smoked salmon added. Very tasty!

Cozy restaurant, also with children

It was very busy due to the beautiful weather. The waitresses did their very best, but having an extra girl would have been nice for them. Our compliments to the service during the rush.

We had lunch here this afternoon. The children had a pancake and we had a sandwich. The prices were fine and the taste was good too. We had ordered one large pancake to share for the children. We were subsequently served two small pancakes. We thought they might have baked two small pancakes instead of one large one after all. However, when settling the bill, it turned out that two children's pancakes had been charged, which were more expensive. Since the children had already eaten them, we had to pay for them anyway. To be honest, we didn't find that very customer-friendly or service-oriented. It is quite noisy inside. Outside, there is a very nice playground for children with a great terrace. You have to pay €4 per person for the animal park. All in all, we had a fine lunch, but we wouldn't be coming back here anytime soon.

I have every understanding and patience for busyness, but what a nightmare. Waiting twenty minutes for a drink after asking three times, while tables were being cleared to make room for new guests. Food is served separately. I had already finished my meal when I had to ask where the children's were; surely they should have come first in a restaurant like this. Just put out some pitchers of water when it's hot, or give people a sandwich in advance. I ended up ordering a pitcher of lemonade and a sandwich myself just to entertain them. Not worth repeating.

We had a delicious meal during the African Summer event. The service was very friendly. It is a cozy terrace with a nice playground where you can visit the small animal park. Definitely worth repeating!

We thought it was good but quite expensive; a pancake or salad for €20 per portion, and of course you can easily eat several before you've had enough. It would be nice if the portions were a bit larger for such high prices.

There were 4 adults and 2 little ones. Plenty of choice for everyone and the food tasted good. Beautiful restaurant and we took a nice walk past the animals :)

Nice restaurant, tasty food, but the portions were small (especially considering the cost) and some people got much less on their plates than others.... The park with the animals is poorly maintained, €4 p.p. for about fifteen minutes of looking around, you can't read the signs and the weeds are so high that the kids can't see the animals. Everything was a lot better 3 years ago.

Great for small children. The playground is clearly visible from the terrace, so the kids can have a great time while you can keep an eye on them from the terrace. The pancakes are excellent, and the service is friendly. The small animal park (somewhere between a petting zoo and a small zoo) is beautifully landscaped.

Tasty pancakes, a nice and neat restaurant with a beautiful large playground and friendly service. I do find the price really on the high side, especially for a pancake, and it is not always proportionate (a pancake with 3 slices of brie is comparable in price to a well-filled pancake with (stewed) meat.

The food was just so dry, it was unbelievable. I pointed this out, but unfortunately received no compensation or anything. You expect to get good food for the prices you pay... then they say it will be better next time, but if you treat your customers like this, there won't be a next time for me. You have to do something about it right then and there to satisfy the customer and ensure they return. The way you handle it, a customer won't come back.

Had Happen en Trappen soup here, choice of tomato or asparagus soup. Tasted good.

Very nice service, friendly and sweet to our children. This makes it very enjoyable. The decor is a bit plain. The pancake was tasty.

I ate here with my family and we were seated in a corner in the full sun. It took at least fifteen minutes before someone came to us, and after that we had to wait almost half an hour for our drinks. When we finally got our food, it was very tasty. We sat at the table for another twenty minutes after that, and when no one came to ask how we were, we just went to pay. It really wasn't busy either. The service was really VERY BAD.

It took a long time before we were served. There was also a significant delay between ordering and serving. Drinks only arrived after we had finished the main course. A shame, because the food tasted great.

The food was delicious, but what disappointed us was the service; it took a very long time for the staff to come to the table. And we ordered drinks, but they weren't brought to the table until fifteen minutes later. We had to ask for them ourselves.

Back in the Netherlands after a year, and we thought we could enjoy ourselves at our favorite Giraffe. Not so; all the tables inside had a "reserved" sign. A gentleman told us that was to keep track... But we were allowed to sit somewhere. We found it very odd. After fifteen minutes with no one at our table and having seen the prices on the menu, we left. The gentleman in question even made a remark along the lines of "then not..." All in all, never again. Why are there 3 staff members sitting outside doing nothing while you just let your customers leave? Why so unfriendly? Where has the hospitality gone... Had some tasty pancakes, just fine, nice and quiet and cozy. Used Social Deal again, had another delicious meal.

I thought it was very expensive for a few pancakes and only 1 drink. There were 4 of us and two children, and we had to pay €200.

We had a nice meal for the four of us, the service was nice and spontaneous, but when we wanted to walk over to Afrika after dinner, we came to a gate where we had to pay 4 euros per person.....so we're not going to do that. I thought that if you had a bite to eat at Klein Afrika you could also walk over to see the animals......unfortunately not.

We ate delicious pancakes (and other things). The braised beef is also highly recommended! It was quite busy, but the service remained quick and friendly. Our son enjoyed the large (well-organized) playground. I think the price-quality ratio is right!

Visited this location for a "Happen en Trappen" (Eating and Cycling) event. Friendly staff and good service in a nicely decorated location.

Personally, I don't find ordering and paying at the table very customer-friendly, and it is on the expensive side.

I had a delicious asparagus soup as a starter, and a delicious Cape Town pancake as a main course. Also delicious chocolates that I thoroughly enjoyed at home.

We ate here tonight with a group of 6. Unfortunately, this was not a success. The food was lukewarm, dry, and tasteless (all 6 dishes). The service wasn't very friendly; we were immediately told that the kitchen had only been open for another 1.5 hours, and there wasn't a smile to be seen. When paying, I mentioned that the food wasn't good and that we only ate because everyone was hungry. It didn't seem to make an impression. The only thing that was somewhat nice was that the children could play outside. Otherwise, it is a waste of money; I won't be coming back here.

It is lovely to come here yourself and sit on the terrace while the children play, but it is also certainly great for parties! We celebrated a child's birthday here with a lunch package. Soup and an incredible number of delicious sandwiches while the kids got to choose something from the menu. Everything was perfectly arranged and definitely worth repeating!

We really enjoyed the coffee and drinks and the lunch, and the children enjoyed the playground.

A restaurant operates best when the different sections communicate well with each other and aren't fighting in the kitchen. The customer depends on how the staff handles the order. The waitress bears the brunt of everyone's criticism, whereas a complaint should reach the right person.

A half-cooked pancake twice. A bit annoying to have to eat only when everyone at the table had already finished their plates as a result. The worst part was that the second attempt was slammed on the table without any further explanation or apology. Oh well... the children enjoyed the nice playground.

Now, I am very sensitive to atmosphere, so this is going to be a tricky one. Children really need to be old enough to zip-line and climb independently. For the little ones, it is all very miniature. You would be better off at a petting zoo. The vibe was mediocre. The service on the terrace kept slipping past us without asking anything. I just went to get it myself. Some little male hormone bomb was very busy and wild with his little sister (or was it already his girlfriend?). Not a fun place for a two-and-a-half-year-old. What the restaurant and terrace have to do with Africa is a mystery to me. You have to pay separately for the zoo, and the card machine doesn't work. So you have to pay with coins, if you even have any with you. Eventually, after complaining, the hospitality staff redeemed themselves via two young ladies who ultimately bravely tried to pull themselves together, which didn't quite work out. We ordered the pancakes anyway, and it must be said that after the coffee and a glass of wine, this was certainly acceptable. We paid well over 70 euros in total. For the time being, I'd better not go near this little one anymore.

The food was good, and the service was very friendly. Unfortunately, the restaurant was very noisy; it was almost impossible to have a conversation.

The food and service were disappointing this time. The lettuce was dried out and there were so many bay leaves in the stew that they really should have been removed before serving. We ordered coffee and ice cream for dessert. The ice cream sat on the bar for so long that my son went to get it himself. We had already finished the coffee. They couldn't even manage an apology. A shame. We won't be coming back.

We had a spot outside, and we really waited 30 minutes before I even saw a waitress. I also really had to signal that I wanted to order. I don't know if this is normal there, but I think that if you see a table without drinks, you at least walk over to ask if they want something to drink.

A bit of a shame that the kids' menu couldn't be without fries. So just chicken nuggets. I have to pay the full price even though my daughter doesn't want/eat fries. Otherwise, the food is fine.

We went out for dinner with the family and grandma, where our kids had a wonderful time playing inside and outside. Very hospitable service, delicious pancakes, and an unexpected gift for our two children on Boxing Day. Highly recommended!

Had a wonderfully delicious meal

We held a Christmas party here for our community garden volunteers. Everything was perfectly organized: coffee and cake, a delicious snack platter with a few extras, and special requests were taken into account. It was a lovely afternoon.

Everything was really great! I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich a few months ago, but I wouldn't order it again. It was incredibly thick bread on a skewer, and the cheese was so dry. Our grandchild didn't like it either, which was a real shame.

Great staff, and the pancakes are also excellent. We were just hoping for a bit more entertainment for the grandchildren; they only discovered the coloring page themselves when we left. But otherwise, it was great!

Nice restaurant. The pancakes are delicious and filling. The other dishes are also excellent. Highly recommended. Just make sure you're not allergic to children whose parents can't handle them. It also takes a long time to get your starter: 55 minutes seems like a long wait, especially when you see that people who came in later got theirs much sooner...

It's a great place to have lunch or dinner with kids. The playground is diverse, the food is good, and the animals are fun!

We booked a social deal for five people. The onion soup contained one or two onion skins. This was a gel-like broth. The potjiekos stew was tasteless and very greasy. We couldn't find any vegetables. The fries were fine. The grand dessert was passable. All in all, it was just bad!

When it's busy, the staff isn't quite ready for it. Perhaps some people were sick at the time. Otherwise, it's a nice restaurant, and combined with the zoo, it's a fun outing for kids.

There were several animals to see, such as porcupines, capybaras, an ostrich, and emus. And even kangaroos! Afterwards, we warmed up inside and decorated a pancake, while the lovely waitresses treated our grandson to a few slices of watermelon! Thank you so much for the lovely afternoon.

We had a delicious meal at Klein Afrika. We were easily able to make a last-minute reservation online. My boyfriend wanted a combination of two pancakes. We had to ask, but they agreed, and he loved it! I had a schnitzel, and it was also very tasty. The staff were friendly and sociable. We had a great meal while vacationing nearby!

The food was delicious, there were a few minor issues with our drink order, but nothing that would spoil the atmosphere. We saw a really fat tortoise, meerkats, and even a capybara. Little Africa is better than Big Africa.
