Restaurant La Diva in Binnenstad-Zuid

I ate here as a pregnant vegetarian, and it was incredibly well-organized (reservations are required and must be made in advance!). I had delicious dishes that were barely distinguishable from those of my table companions. The non-alcoholic pairings were also fantastic. My table companions secretly even enjoyed one or two mocktails more than their wine! The service was also very friendly. The only caveat was that it was a bit long: we were there for four hours, but in return, we ate six courses and an amuse-bouche.

Restaurant La Diva in Leiden is an absolute must for lovers of fine dining. The food is not only beautifully presented but above all, of exceptionally high quality. The chef consistently surprises with original, flavorful combinations and beautiful presentation. Each dish demonstrates creativity and craftsmanship, and everything is meticulously prepared.

we were welcomed there so warmly. i have asked for a table next to the window because we were celebrating a birthday and wanted some more privacy, and we got it immediately. the food was so delicious as well, every meal was inventive and extremely tasty. we also receive the explanations for each meal and wine. it was an amazing fine-dining experience, and we would love to go back there again

They simply have excellent food! The combo menus are highly recommended; you get a bit of everything: stewed meat, curry, vegetables, and the signature "pancakes" you eat with. That's right, just with a spoon and your hands, and that works perfectly! The waitress was pleasant and friendly, the coconut beer is highly recommended, and the decor is delightfully typical.

A nice restaurant if you want to be surprised with delicious dishes and a 4-5-6 course menu with wine arrangement. Very attentive service. No classic menu, but you eat what the chef chooses and prepares.

We hebben enorm genoten! In elk gerecht waren het hele mooie en smakelijke combinaties en met heerlijk passende wijnen. We vonden het zooo lekker dat we het als Michelin-ster waardig hebben benoemd. Delicious food and good service

On the second day of Christmas we were able to eat the delicious Christmas menu here. First of all, super good service and the food is excellent! Secondly, the menu was specially adapted to my pregnancy. With 36 weeks pregnant, I had a wonderful evening here. Many restaurants make it difficult to adjust the menu due to pregnancy, but at La Diva it was no problem at all. And the alternative dishes were just as good as the original dishes. Finally, a lot of personal attention is given to you and you feel welcome and appreciated as a guest from the first moment.

Hospitable, beautiful setting, delicious dishes.

We have been coming to la Diva for years and we are surprised every time. The food is fantastic; There is no menu, but a changing menu where you can indicate whether there are any allergies, for example. Last night we were blown away again by ravioli with mushrooms, wild duck, and a dessert with pear, caramel and chocolate. In my opinion the best restaurant in Leiden.

Delicious food, good service, nice people. Also take diets and allergies such as celiac disease into account, and ask if they are unsure about something. Thank you!! In terms of price: €135 pp paid for drink, amuse, 5 courses, cheese board, wine arrangement and coffee with treats. 👍

Delicious and unique food with very friendly staff.

Enjoyed the 5-course dinner with the addition of the cheese board. The food is delicious and the service friendly and hospitable. The matching wines are surprising and very tasty. The place for a wonderful evening!

In the pre-pandemic age I was a very frequent and appreciative diner at La Diva. The pandemic intervened, and only yesterday I returned for dinner. I was given the welcome applicable to the Prodigal's Return - they even still recalled my allergy restriction. The restaurant had undergone a facelift and now looked much more elegant, and more importantly the acoustics had been greatly improved. The food was as good as always and exceptionally pleasant: sea bass with "wild garlic" and a perfect beurre blanc sauce, and large raviolo filled with duxelles of morrels and a sauce in which the morrels returned, were the high-spots of the meal. The well-chose winse in the accompanying selection were very good indeed; the dry sherry before was from a house I did not know - driest I ever had, whereas my favourite digestif - Marc de Bourgogne - was still present on their list. For two persons four courses, with their accompanying wines, aperitif and digestif, but no coffee, came to € 181:-, which is excellent value for money.

Had dinner with the children and supporters yesterday. Let yourself be surprised by both the menu and the matching wine arrangement. Enjoyed!!!!!! Nice and quiet seat and the right attention all evening. We will definitely come back….

Een klein gezellig restaurant, waar je naar toe gaat voor kwalitatief goed eten, fijne ambiance en erg vriendelijke bediening. Het menu is verrassend, in positieve zin. Bijvoorbeeld: Bitterbal met erwtensoep of ijs van gluhwein. De wijnen zijn goed afgestemd op het eten. Wij hebben een topavond gehad.

Hier wordt met passie gekookt en begrijpt men gastheerschap. Heerlijk 5 gangen menu, prima timing tussen de gangen, wijnen op tijd en uitstekende toelichting. Dat alles tegen een hele nette prijs. Ben je in Leiden dan is La Diva een aanrader.

What a wonderful discovery from my wife. We had dinner here with friends yesterday and with every course we were pleasantly surprised with the special flavors of the dishes. Our dietary requirements have all been perfectly incorporated into the menu. The service is very attentive and relaxed. We really had a great evening and will definitely come back. Absolutely recommended!

The perfect flavours... The spot on wine pairings... The true knowledge on how to enlighten your tastebuds. All is found here at La Diva. We came here at 6.15pm and left at 10.30pm. An incredible night of food and intimacy with the chef directly in our sights as he worked his magic. The stand out dishes were the yellow tailed kingfish and the hare. Go for the 5 courses if you want to be fulfilled in life. In the top three fine dining restaurants in Leiden for what we have experienced. Good job!

The surprise of the year! I went to La Diva a few weeks ago, and I enjoyed it so much that I went back last week! La Diva is a small and cozy restaurante with a very good vibe. You will taste a seasonal menu made with fresh products of very good quality paired with excellent wines. The staff is very nice and helpful and with attention to details. A very fine place to come back to every season.

Kleinschalig restaurant met oog voor de gasten, nette en vriendelijk bediening. Het eten is heel erg lekker en met zorg samengesteld. De wijnen passen uitstekend bij de gerechten. De chef kwam ook persoonlijk nog even vragen of alles naar wens was, ook dat is een pluspunt. Aanrader!

Een fantastische avond gehad bij La Diva. Een heerlijk 6-gangen diner gegeten met een wijn arrangement en een ook een mooi acholvrij drank arrangement. Mooie smaak combinaties en prachtige wijnen en drankjes erbij geserveerd! Vriendelijke en kundige bedieding. En de kok is een kunstenaar. Zeker een aanrader.

Heerlijk gegeten! Er is maar 1 menu, 4 of 5 gangen en je kunt zeggen wat je niet lust of allergisch voor bent. En dan krijg je echt heerlijke gerechten voorgeschoteld

Culinair genieten, dit kleine restaurant heeft geen keuze menu, maar presenteert een menu waaruit je het aantal gangen kan bepalen. Uitstekend eten vriendelijke, maar wat onzekere bediening. Goede huiswijnen. Uitstekende avond gehad.

Wat een parel! Heerlijk gegeten, geweldige wijnen. Maar vooral gepassioneerde mensen. Het is serieus geprijsd, maar overtreffende trap qua prijs kwaliteitsverhouding. Wat een feest om daar te eten

Dit is echt een top restaurant. Iedere gang is een streling voor de tong. Het wijn arrangement is echt een aanrader. Goede service; die mensen doen alles om jou een onvergetelijke avond te bezorgen.

Genoten van een heerlijk 5-gangen menu. Vanwege mijn zwangerschap mag ik niet alles eten, maar hiervoor waren perfecte vervangers bedacht. Er word zeer goed mee-gedacht over de keuzes en goede uitleg gegeven over de gerechten. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Wij hebben heerlijk genoten van het 5 gangenmenu. Een top chef die heerlijke gerechtjes maakte en daarbij rekening hield met de uiteenlopende dieetwensen tussen mijn partner en mij. Gezellige sfeer en zeer gastvrije en vriendelijke bediening.

Hier gegeten tijdens Kerst. Mijn hemel, wat was het lekker. Alle gerechten perfect gebalanceerd. Soms met weinig ingredienten (zwezerik met biet en hazelnoot) andere behoorlijk complex zoals het voorgerechtje met Kingfish. De smaak van de verse ravioli met kreeft kan ik me zo weer voor de geest halen. Voor 1 van ons was er een non-alcoholisch drank-arrangement mooi passend bij de gerechten. Goed verzorgd allemaal. Echt super. De zaak is redelijk klein met weinig tafels, maar ziet er mooi uit. Goede akoestiek ook! Echt een aanrader voor als je in de buurt van Leiden bent.

Dinner here was AMAZING as was the service. The twists on 🇳🇱 classics (bitterballen, cabbage, an orange and speculaas Christmas themed dessert) convinced me and my Italian friend that maybe Dutch food isn’t too bad after all 😜

Fantastische ervaring gehad. Gastheer en gastvrouw zeer attent, warm en enthousiast. De gerechten waren heel mooi in balans. Zowel individueel als in verhouding tot elkaar. Veel gelaagdheid in de gerechten zelf, de porties vullen elkaar goed aan en de opbouw maakt voor een zeer passend wijnarrangement. Als dessert een kaasplankje met eindelijk eens wat bijzondere kazen, niet je standaard gorgonzola, frisse geitenkaas of oude brokkelkaas. Ook het zoete dessert erna was een feestje, beide met passende dessertwijn. Na afloop werden we nog opgezocht door de chef die belangstelling toonde in zijn gasten en wilde weten hoe de avond bevallen was. Top tent: gezellige sfeer, mooie gerechten, fijne mensen, heerlijke wijnen en vooral voor herhaling vatbaar!
