Walked in for early dinner to La Salsa Latina. The restaurant is above the ice cream place. Could not find at first. Nice place, bit loud music. They have south american beers. Great food. Fantastic arepas. Location - 7/10 Ambience - 8/10 Staff - 10/10 Food 10/10 Value - 10/10 Recommend - yes Return - yes

What a wonderfully nice restaurant in our Geldrop. Super tasty and authentic dishes. The service by Carlos and Karina was extremely warm, friendly and full of passion. Ambiance exactly as you would expect in a restaurant in Peru and Colombia. Wonderful South American music. Since I hate choosing from a menu, I immediately offered to have a varied surprise menu put together by the owner and the chef. Delicious food and really enjoyed it. The skewer with cow's heart, extremely tasty black beans with white cheese and a variety of dishes were surprising. We each received some typical and authentic dishes from Peru and Venezuela. All dishes were equally tasty. Nice wine and a nice spacious table complete the experience. The price-quality ratio is also good. With coffee we were offered a typical house drink. Definitely recommended We will definitely come back regularly.

An IDEAL place to dine in Geldrop. The food was very very good and the service unbeatable. You can tell that they make the food with love and that they use quality products. The truth is that I want to return. 100% recommended :)

Voor de 2de keer dit restaurant bezocht. Hele fijne ongedwongen sfeer. Ruim restaurant op bovenverdieping. Let op, geen lift! We wilden iets anders proberen dan bij ons vorig bezoek. De vriendelijke eigenaresse (denk ik) legde precies uit waar de verschillende gerechten uit bestonden en vroeg daarbij ook wat we echt lekker vinden. Ik bestelde Polo Salteado. Kip in sojasaus met groenten, friet en rijst. Het was een flinke hoeveelheid blokjes of beter gezegd blokken kip, heerlijk mals en boterzacht. (ik denk dat het ruim 300gr kip was) De groenten waren gesmoord in de sojasaus. Het was om je vingers bij af te likken. Mijn partner nam Seco de Carne con Frijoles. Heerlijk stuk (ook weer boterzacht) rundvlees. De Frijoles werden geserveerd in een apart schaaltje in een soort bouillon. Als dessert bestelden we ijs met fruit en gecondenseerde melk. Ik heb zelden zo'n lekker ijs gegeten. Wat is het fijn om gast te mogen zijn bij deze vriendelijke en goedlachse mensen. Alleen daarom zou ik er wel iedere week willen gaan eten (helaas is de afstand wat te groot, maar anders....) De keuken is deels te zien, als je aan de tafels zit die voor de bar/balie staan. Ook de kok en zijn hulp zijn erg vriendelijk. Fijne ervaring, geweldig lekker eten en zeer zeker aan te raden. De ingang naar het restaurant is dus beneden en is niet echt uitnodigend. De trap kan wel een opknapbeurt gebruiken en dan zou het al een stuk aanlokkelijker zijn om binnen te stappen. Restaurant heeft veel zitplaatsen. Verwacht niet een moderne uitstraling.

Very sweet and friendly employees! Restaurant is on the 2nd floor. We walked past it first. The front door is next to the ice cream parlor. We had a delicious meal. And to make the atmosphere even more pleasant, a kind of karaoke was set up; it was a party! Definitely recommended!

Ik heb heerlijk gegeten van de arepa met Pulled meat. Over heerlijk. Ga hier zeker terug komen. Het mais brood is goed van smaak.

You know you’re in good hands when you can speak to the staff in Spanish. I’ve been a fan of the food trucks that frequent Eindhoven, and once asking it they carried Postobon Manzana or Malta, they advised me to go to their restaurant! I made a reservation via Google and took ourselves to Geldrop. Up a couple of stairs, after a brisk 15 minute walk from Geldrop Station. I have to admit had the location been in Eindhoven it would be packed. Enjoyed some arepas that taste like home, and the quesillo really took the cake home!! Bathrooms are small and clean, plus points for using quality toilet paper! Music is Latin American pan flute that had me craving some Carlos Vives at the end there. We sat next to the window and enjoyed our hot meal while watching the snow cover the roads.

Heerlijk Latijns-Amerikaans gegeten, met de smaken van o.a. Peru, Venezuela en Colombia. Een uitgebreide kaart met smakelijke gerechten en een gezellige muzikale sfeer en service / bediening. Prettige grote tafels, met veel ruimte.

We wilden eens Zuid-Amerikaans proberen en op internet dit restaurant gevonden. Redelijk eenvoudig interieur maar zeer sfeervolle ambiance. Eten wordt vers bereid in de open keuken. Zeer vriendelijke bediening en bijzonder lekker gegeten in goede porties. Je kunt er ook potjes sausen kopen om proberen zelf thuis de smaken te imiteren 😇 De zaak bevindt zich op de eerste etage en je loopt er dus helaas gemakkelijk aan voorbij. We gaan hier zeker nog eens terugkomen.

We hadden een social deal 3 gangen menu bij La Salsa Latina, maar vonden de prijs kwaliteit niet echt zoals we hadden gehoopt van een social deal. Je krijgt een beperkte keuze, omdat je via social deal hebt geboekt. Dit betreft de simpelere gerechten voor ons gevoel. Niet alles proefde alsof het vers werd bereid. Het vlees bij het hoofdgerecht was niet echt naar onze smaak (wat droog). De kip was wel oke. Het was niet heel slecht, maar we zouden de deal om deze reden ook niet aanraden (ondanks dat de deal vrij goedkoop was €21,50,-). Het bedienend personeel is vriendelijk, maar nog wel jong en niet echt enthousiast/passievol. De tafels en de stoelen zou ik persoonlijk vervangen. Ondanks dat, zie je dat ze wel wat van het restaurant proberen te maken. Er stond sfeervolle Spaanse muziek op en er waren veel Zuid-Amerikaanse versieringen in de ruimte aanwezig.

Sfeer is top 💯. Mooie aankleding en gezellige muziek. Het eten is apart, authentiek en lekker. Enig minpuntje was de te dure fles water, 1 fles Chaudfontaine voor €10. Nergens zo duur gezien als hier. En de lauwe rode wijn. Deze had een paar graden kouder moeten zijn.

Service is great. Food is decent. I had chicken, which turned out to be not fully cooked. They replaced the meal very quickly with something else. The music is quite loud and there is a Peruvian game which makes a lot of noise.

Het eten was lekkerrrrr en zeer vers gemaakt en kregen op een plankje en kreeg uitleg wat wat was in de bakjes en we komen zeker terug. Bedankt voor de cadeau voor Vrouw Lief.

This is a nice restaurant recommended by my Colombian colleague. The atmosphere is great as it is very chill and relaxing. The waiter is very friendly and the food is quickly served. I had Lomo Saltado which is the combination of rice, fries and a kind of beef stew. I really like this menu and the meat tastes very nice. I really recommend checking this out.

El ambiente del lugar es como transportarse de vuelta a tu propio pais, rodeada de tu musica y bebidas favoritas... Y la comida tan pero tan rica y sabrosa que uno empieza a rezarle a pedirle a Dios que bendiga el local, las manos y los ingredientes que han usado y por la dueña que le prospere en todo lo que haga!

Wat een leuk verrassend restaurant. Authentieke gerechten die je zo in Zuid-Amerika zou kunnen tegenkomen. Gelukkig niet teveel aangepast aan de nederlandse smaakvoorkeuren.

Lekker eten. Een goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding en heel vriendelijke bediening. We komen zeker terug.
