The food was delicious, but the waiter made it even more special. A very young guy with fantastic wine knowledge. Not from training, but from genuine interest. Very special.

Great place, good food, reasonably priced. They even have a half-price wine package. Good wine, but overpriced, 15% more than the full package. After complaining, the expert sommelier replied that pouring half glasses was too complicated. A bit of a weak answer for a cover price of 120 euros… 👍

It was our first time, but definitely not our last! The service was fast, friendly, and helpful. The food was delicious with surprising flavor combinations. Definitely recommended.

In an idyllic setting, nestled in the heart of Buren, lies this gem of a restaurant. Open kitchen, talented service, and a fine wine list. Ideal for a business (or private) evening of enjoyment. Extensive menu and wine list to match.

What a lovely place, a relaxed yet luxurious dining experience with beautiful dishes. Lovely, lively background music. Delicious wine pairings. 7 courses with well-measured portions. But...I have to eat gluten-free due to celiac disease, and it went well twice. Unfortunately, not the last time. I already had to send one dish back and ended up getting very sick at home, and yet another dish wasn't properly checked! I didn't want to post this at first, but recently heard that someone else had to send back dishes that require lactose-free food. They don't take people's health seriously. You'd expect a restaurant like this to be reliable in this area. And even though I clearly told the lady that I'm very sensitive, she didn't come across as very friendly. It's already difficult to have to explain this, and her manner didn't make it any easier.

We eat here once a year during our trip to the Betuwe region. It was always great, but this time it was a bit disappointing. The prices are getting out of control, and the quality isn't what it used to be.

Leuk restaurant maar qua eten deze keer een, fikse, tegenvaller. We hebben hier in het verleden beter gegeten. Tussen gerecht van ratatoulli was smaakloos en kersen nagerecht nietszeggend en minimalistisch. Kom op jongens, dit kan/moet beter.

We vonden het een tegenvaller. De service is standaard met weinig enthousiasme en passie. Het 6 gangenmenu is standaard. Het haalt bij lange na niet het niveau van een gemiddeld sterrenrestaurant. De wijnen zijn zeer standaard en voor die prijzen onder de maat, weinig wijn kennis.

In the picturesque Buren lies this atmospheric restaurant with enthusiastic service and chef. We had the 5-course dinner with wine menu. Delicious food with surprising flavors and original wines. This restaurant deserves more visits. We were with 4 people on Tuesday. Recommended.

My wife and I go out for dining a lot, and our expectations were rather high based on what we have heard, the reviews on Google Maps and the fine dining approach. However, our expectations are not met. Want went well: - Staff is friendly, proactive, and supportive - Table/chair are rather comfortable - I liked my red wine (Bordeaux) / good wine menu - Atmosphere is nice, not too loud or too quiet - Open kitchen (more on this later) - visual presentation was good What should be improved: - In our view the courses lack balance. Too sweet or too salty, and the main course (cauliflower) was fried & that’s it. In addition, there was a strong smell of fried products around is due to the kitchen, which is not pleasant. To be fair, the restaurant provided 1 glass of wine from the house to compensate for this, which we appreciated, but still we are left with the feeling that the composition of the courses should be improved and balanced more carefully. - There was an open kitchen, which is good on itself, however we could see they use semi-finished products (such as Knorr Roux). At this price level, we expect fully fresh products and what we have seen is not acceptable. Also, the menu states that they use ‘honest products’, but the use of foie gras is not part of that in our view. A pity. - Our table was too close to other tables and seats, resulting in people moving around being annoying, as people have to come too close to your table/chair. - We ordered a bread, but had to ask a second time for this, which means that they forgot about it. - On the bill, coffee services were included separately, while this was part of the menu we have selected. After mentioning this, this was corrected, but this should not happen. - Service/time between courses was rather slow (potentially on purpose, this is personal), but also getting the bill took a while. We would have liked this to be more quickly / more efficiently. As mentioned, sorry to say that we are not happy with the overall experience, as too many things should be improved. Price/quality ratio is not good at all, and should be improved. 3/5 star. Happy to give it another try after the above is improved, otherwise we would not come back.

Enjoy a delicious dinner in lovely Buren! We often do this at La Grange. Heart of the Betuwe, the Netherlands at its best! The consistent quality and service is a reason for us to return time and time again. With delicious and good matching wines per course a party!

Just had a quick drink at 9:15 pm, but were shown the door without any chance.

Cozy sitting outside. Excellent service. We immediately get an amuse of eel and a gaspacho. Then a chardonnay with eel. Very refined and delicious!

The young kitchen brigrade conjures up tasty surprises on the table. The service is attentive and also has time for the guests.

We had dinner there together on Valentine's Day. The dishes were fine until the main course, but the poulet jaune was far below par. Tasteless and lukewarm, not what you would expect anywhere, and certainly not in a restaurant where you pay top prices. The wines were fine, but poured very sparingly and explained impersonally. For €250 you can really expect more

Had a delicious meal at Restaurant Lagrange. The 5 course menu was plenty of food and it's nice that you can swap dessert for a savory course. Delicious wine is also served with the meal. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. Price-quality ratio is good. I discovered the restaurant in the Michelin guide and I'm surprised they don't have a Bib Gourmand yet.

Delicious 6 course menu with matching wines. In one dish the sweetbreads were replaced by undercooked celeriac, the sauce etc. was the same as for meat lovers. Not very creative.

Zeer onder de indruk van dit restaurant. In ongedwongen sfeer genieten van gerechten van hoge kwaliteit en verrassende wijnen. De smaakcombinaties zijn soms gedurfd, maar toch perfect in balans. De lat werd bij de eerste gang gelijk hoog gelegd en dit is in stand gebleven. Stuk voor stuk smeuïge gerechten waar je je vingers bij af wil likken.

Fantastic experience 6 course dinner with friends. If you really want to be spoiled and pampered for an evening! Definitely eat and drink here. Young team but certainly at the highest level in everything. We will 100% definitely come back. To enjoy the hospitality and the super tasty food ❤️

Wat een ontdekking…in het prachtige Buren. We werden vriendelijk ontvangen en kregen een mooie tafel toebedeeld. Na het alcoholvrije aperitief, met heerlijke amuses, kozen we voor 5 gangen van het menu, met bijpassende wijnen. De gerechten werden mooi opgediend en waren stuk voor stuk smakelijk en goed in balans. De gekozen wijnen erbij pasten er heel goed bij: de smaken versterkten elkaar. De medewerkers waren vriendelijk en attent. De sfeer was relaxt. Prijs/kwaliteit klopt.

Soms heb je een restaurant waarvan je een wauw gevoel oploopt. Dat is namelijk hier. We nemen een viergangen menu. Kraakverse producten, heerlijke gerechten, prachtig opgemaakt en begeleidt met fantastische wijnen. Favoriet sud-Tirol. Ik zou zeggen, ga hier eens heen. Krijg je geen spijt van.

2 triple beers, a cognac vs frapin, bottle of water and a main course €81.50 Food was good but not that I thought wow.... just ok, for the price I had to pay I must have thought it was delicious and would definitely want to go again. Once again a fantastic meal. Very nice atmosphere with top service.

Quality is fine, but portions are no longer in proportion to the price. We were also unpleasantly surprised with an extra €30 on the bill for 2 mini, mini scoops of caviar, which was also not reported to us. In the end we had to pay €220 for 2x4 course dinner (offer at Loes van Heerlijk €55) 1x wine arrangement, 2 glasses of cava, coffee. Very hefty price!!!

Price/quality not in proportion I asked to replace asparagus with other vegetables but still received asparagus We were asked if we wanted a scoop of caviar with a starter from a menu. This was then added to the invoice. It would have been nice if it had been stated that this would incur additional costs. When we said something about it at checkout, it was taken as notice and there was hardly any response. The restaurant seems very pretentious. Something they can't make happen.

Great meal. Management is well coordinated. Occasionally the acoustics inside were poor, which we found slightly disturbing.

Had an excellent meal in this restaurant in Buren. View the map on the internet in advance. That seemed a bit pretentious. But that turned out not to be so bad. Devoured the Chef's Menu together with a good friend. Every course was a pleasant and tasteful surprise. The hamachi sashimi in particular was incredibly well prepared. In short, a nice ambiance, fine cuisine and very pleasant service make this restaurant a nice place to be. Make sure there is sufficient balance in your account.

Gezellig mooi gastronomisch restaurant en vriendelijke bediening. We kregen een tafel vlak aan de keuken en hadden zo zicht op hun kokerellen ............

Beautiful location where we were very spoiled.

Met mijn vriendin geweest afgelopen weekend. Gekozen voor 6-gangen met bijpassende wijnen. Geweldig gegeten, stuk voor stuk top gerechten en de wijnen waren voortreffelijk. Daarbij is Lucas super attent als gastheer. Iedereen bij La Grange bedankt, wij komen zeker terug! En degene die deze review leest, gewoon reserveren bij La Grange, en niet verder zoeken.

Gisteren met een gezelschap van 11 man genoten bij Lagrange. Heerlijk gegeten en zeer goede bediening. We zaten alleen met ons gezelschap op zolder aan een mooi aangeklede tafel. Een aanrader dus.

Vriendelijk ontvangst, goede sfeer en heerlijk eten. Verfijnde smaken, mooi opgemaakte gerechten en voor ons ook goede porties. Aangegeven dat ik zwanger ben en daar hebben ze ook rekening mee gehouden. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!

For a person with sea food intolerance it was a true disappointment to be offered 4 fish courses and there was no chance to replace those. The service is very good. The wine options are abundant but the sommelier has no knowledge of the wines just reciting the things learned by heart in advance. The food is in small portions and a bit expensive. The cappuccino had almost no foam and the coffee was unpleasant. Atmosphere is great and personnel very hospitable.

Top eten in het prachtige Buren

Heerlijke avond gehad bij Lagrange met meerdere, niet al te grote, gangen. Als het ware smaakbommetjes in je mond. Voor de liefhebber een fraai bijpasend wijnarrangement, maar ook alcoholvrij was geen probleem.

Niet te groot, gemoedelijk, lekker. Gewoon een leuk adres om je met lekker eten te laten verwennen.

Wat een positieve verrassing. In Buren, de parel van de Betuwe kun je echt heel goed eten.

Zeer sfeervol restaurant met fantastisch goed diner. Duidelijke uitleg, vriendelijke kundige bediening en goed wijnadvies. Het 4 gangen diner was van amuse tot nagerecht voortreffelijk

Prachtige ambiance waar we hebben genoten van verrassende culinaire hoogstandjes. De gastvrouw heeft ons op een prettige manier begeleid tijdens het genieten van de verschillende gerechten van ons vier gangen diner. Een echte aanrader om van een bijzonder diner te genieten. Het wachten is op de erkenning dmv een ster. Dat verdienen ze echt.

Buiten het maandmenu om gegeten. Bijzondere gerechten, mooi opgemaakt, goede en vriendelijke bediening. Prijzig.

Heerlijke culinaire ervaring bij Gastrobar Maximaal in Buren. Mooie details en fantastische smaken verzorgd door een ontzettend lief en kundig team 👌

Vanavond heerlijk gegeten bij een voor ons tot nu toe onbekend restaurant : Gastrobar Maximaal in Buren. Alle gerechten waren van een zeer hoog niveau, qua opmaak en qua smaken. De chef heeft eerder op hoog niveau gewerkt en is dat duidelijk niet verleerd. Mijn vrouw koos voor vis, te beginnen met twee bereidingen van langoustines. Beide waren overheerlijk, maar de warme bereiding met biet was onovertroffen. Zelf had ik de steak tartaar, die ook heerlijk op smaak was. Onze beide hoofdgerechten (heilbot en dry aged rund) waren ook heerlijk. Het dessert was een kunstwerk, o.a. een huisgemaakte Betuwse kers met een vulling van dragon. Wij hebben van begin tot eind genoten, het eten was heerlijk en wij voelden ons zeer welkom bij de ontspannen en prettige bediening. Wij zijn meer dan aangenaam verrast en komen zeker terug bij deze culinaire parel!

Cosy place with a beautiful bar and a lot of art on its walls. Limited menu (great choice) with classic bistro-like dishes. Many pairing wine options (also by the glass). Dishes are very or extremely well prepared.

Wow, wat een heerlijke avond hebben wij beleefd. Het ene mooie gerecht na het andere gerecht kregen wij geserveerd met bovenal fantastische en verrassende smaken. De avond werd gestart met een krokantje van zuurdesembrood met een dip met gepofte Quinoa. Daarna 2 smaakvolle amuses, gevolgd met 5 fantastische gerechten. De hoofdbestanddelen van de gerechten werden op een geweldige manier ondersteunt. Je ziet zo vaak, ook een sterrenzaken, dat het gerecht waar het eigenlijk om draait helemaal onder gesneeuwd wordt door een overvloed aan gelletjes, krokantjes, mousjes, etc. maar niet bij deze chef-kok. Echt klasse gedaan!! Wij eten regelmatig op hoog nivo en vragen ons soms oprecht af waarom sommige sterrenzaken ooit een ster hebben gekregen. Bij Gastrobar Maximaal vragen wij ons echt af waarom zij geen ster hebben. Het menu wat wij geserveerd kregen was echt van uitzonderlijk hoog nivo. Ook het team met de gastvrouw, bediening en sommelier werkte als een geoliede machine. Niets dat complimenten dus. Normaal gesproken hebben wij nog wel een tip, maar in dit geval zouden wij er echt geen weten. Toch maar eens gevraagd wie hier de chef-kok was. Falco Lens is de chef-kok en Lionel is zijn sous-chef. 2 jonge, maar zéér talentvolle koks, waar wij in de toekomst zeker nog van gaan horen. Dat staat wel vast. Nu nog hopen dat zij dit nivo vast kunnen houden. Kortom: een echte aanrader. Bovendien is Buren een prachtig monumentaal stadje en sowieso al de moeite waard om eens te bezoeken.

Hele mooie gezellige restaurant, perfecte bediening. Uitleg over het menu is Super, de wijn keuze top. Al met al zeer zekers aan te bevelen.

Goed verzorgd,voor herhaling vatbaar

Deze score heeft toelichting nodig. De locatie, de bediening en het eten waren dik in orde. Echter was ik die dag flink actief geweest en was de hoeveelheid erg beperkt. Belangrijkste is echter dat het water aqua panna geen onderdeel is van het best prijzige wijnarrangement. De afrekening van totaal 12,50 voor twee flesjes van 0,75 liter zorgde voor een soort van kater. Best jammer

Vriendelijke en behulpzaame eigenaar en personeel. Heerlijke koffie.
