What a charming café! The interior was modern yet warm. The barista made my coffee with care, and you could taste it. The cappuccino was creamy and full of flavor. I also had a slice of homemade cake, which was delicious. The service was fast and friendly. There was a pleasant bustle, but it remained comfortable. The windows offered a lovely view of the street. The chairs were comfortable, and the tables were clean. Everything was just perfect here. An absolute must for coffee lovers.

Lovely restaurant on the Toolenburgse Plas lake. Always delicious food. The large windows make it sometimes warm inside, but the terrace is also great. Often full for dinner. Also great for a cup of coffee in between.

Since the Lieveling changed owners, it has become considerably more expensive. Dinner, in particular, and the selection is limited. A shame. The fact remains that it's a beautiful location and has a great terrace overlooking the lake. The service is also impeccable.

We had lunch at De Lieveling last week. The service was smooth, fast, and friendly. The fried chicken thighs were excellent and served on two crispy brown bread slices. Everything looked beautifully presented. We thought it was a great restaurant. Beautifully situated on the Toolenburgerplas lake. The acoustics inside are a bit less pleasant, but when it's busy, it echoes.

It was wonderful to have a drink on a Thursday evening; you weren't pressured into having a drink or a meal. The service was friendly and unobtrusive. A great experience, highly recommended.

Mijn verjaardagsfeest met ruim 50 gasten bij Lieveling op 8/8 was onvergetelijk! Dankzij de geweldige organisatie van Daphne Hoogland, het supervriendelijke en attente personeel en de leuke muziek van DJ Edwin was alles perfect. Het diner was heerlijk en ook de dieetwensen van enkele gasten zijn uitstekend verzorgd. De serre en het terras gaven een geweldige sfeer. Kortom een toplocatie en top geregeld! Absoluut een aanrader

We were able to sit down with a bit of wind, adequate service and the food is really good value for money. If you are a little early, the menu with good sandwiches and salads is available from 11:30 am. You don't have to wait long for your food. Thanks for the delicious food!

Beautiful restaurant, friendly service Beautiful location

Today, on a very hot day, I tried to have a drink on the terrace. It was practically empty. There were two large parasols, but they still managed to only have two tables in the shade, which were, of course, occupied. With a small baby, I don't want to sit in the sun, so I moved one table into the shade. A young waitress came over to tell me we couldn't move any more tables because she wouldn't be able to get past them. That was nonsense, because there was plenty of room to move around the table; nothing was blocking it. Furthermore, there were two tables on an otherwise empty terrace. My mother started an argument, but it became clear to me: if you're not hospitable, you're not getting my money. As I was leaving, someone shouted something along the lines of: "Well, then, no way." Poor service, and this isn't the first time. I've had young waitresses before, and they don't understand hospitality and service.

Lovely terrace, beautifully situated on Toolenburger Plas. The food is a bit pricey, and it's a shame there aren't any fries or something similar. I ordered a bowl of soggy, limp fries for €6. €5.25 for a glass of homemade lemonade, which I think is a good deal. Next time, I'll go somewhere else.

Located in a recreational area by a lake, the restaurant offers a great lunch and beer menu. Beautifully decorated and with a spacious terrace. The service is impeccable.

The food was delicious and well-priced. A long-awaited meal was served for someone. It looked very pleasant and inviting. The service certainly did its best, but our eardrums nearly exploded when the music started. There was a bit of a hassle with drinks, which went wrong a few times, but otherwise we had a very good and enjoyable evening.

Went here for dinner for the first time, and what a lovely place. Nice decor inside, and a large terrace outside by the water. Playground and parking right outside. The menu looked great, and the food (lunch) was more than worth the price. A delicious meal indeed. My only downside was that I had made a reservation because we (family and I) were coming from my grandmother's funeral (I'd also called ahead), and when we arrived, we promptly checked in, and nothing had been arranged. There wasn't enough cutlery, glasses were on the table, and we had to move the tables ourselves to accommodate an extra chair. We were supposed to have a table in the conservatory; but when we arrived, they said...just find a spot. Also, neither by phone nor upon entering the restaurant, we received any condolences or anything. It's not very welcoming! Especially not when you've just had a sad day and want to end it with a light lunch.

What a breath of fresh air this terrace, and especially the service! We had gluten once, and they were very accommodating and kind and understanding. Friendly staff who also knew what they were doing. And the food was delicious. What a contrast to other restaurants in the area (where it's absolutely terrible). Nice place to spend the evening.

Our friends had our wedding here. The day and evening were excellently taken care of. The staff was friendly and helpful. The dinner was exceptionally good, which you don't experience very often. We are easy eaters so it was nice that they thought along with us. Under the guise of, it can always be better... there were no fans in the conservatory where we were sitting. It was boiling hot that day and given the changing climate there will certainly be more hot days to come. The number of toilets is also limited. Two for women and 1 closed toilet for men. That is actually not enough when there are many people present. Furthermore, we had a great day and kudos to the staff who had to work in this boiling heat.

The food was really great, but for a lunch way too much. I couldn't finish it, and the plates with another menu looked too much for me too.

My boyfriend ended up with severe food poisoning after eating at this restaurant, he got better in a few days with prescribed antibiotics. I called the restaurant and talked with a supervisor, who told me that she would look into what could have happened and that she would call me back. I never got the call, hence the 1 star.

I was here with some colleagues, one of whom was retiring. I have had a gastric bypass and can eat very little. This was taken into account very well. Good service, pleasant atmosphere and delicious food. The vase paid no prices, but they had an amuse in advance, a starter, main course and dessert, then coffee and/or tea afterwards. I thought that €55.00 per person could be spent.

1 star is even too much for this restaurant. When I entered I did not feel welcome. Eventually I was allowed to sit on the terrace. When I asked for a drinks menu, the waitress indicated that this was not available. This while I got the drinks menu a week ago. According to the waitress I could choose from "just coffee and the usual things." I know one thing for sure. I will not come back here again.

Ik kwam aan met mijn vader om te lunchen. Wij kwamen binnen er werden gelijk geholpen. We zaten lekker buiten in de zon; we werden snel geholpen en het eten was top. Bediening kwam vaak langs en vroeg regelmatig of alles nog naar wens was! Super, ik en mijn vader ging vervolgens blij naar huis.

Vorige week een mooi verjaardagsfeest gevierd in de serre (exclusief voor ons gezelschap) bij Restaurant Lieveling in Hoofddorp. De locatie is van zichzelf al ontzettend mooi, gelegen aan het water (Toolenburgse plas), maar door de mooie, warme inrichting is veel versiering niet noodzakelijk. De serre was zo ingericht dat het niet te klein, maar zeker ook niet te vol was voor 53 personen  Wij kozen voor een 7-gangen diner, bestaande uit mooie gerechten, die bij iedereen enorm in de smaak vielen. Het personeel heeft alles tot in de puntjes goed geregeld op de avond zelf. Slechts 1x aan hoeven geven wie welke allergieën en/of dieetwensen had en de gerechten werden gelijktijdig en vlot uit geserveerd. Daarnaast werd er volop gedanst onder leiding van DJ Edwin Verhoef, die echt een feestje heeft gemaakt van de avond, goed afgestemd op de aanwezige gasten. Tenslotte hebben wij een photobooth (polaroid foto's) en grote, witte lichtletters (naam en leeftijd jarige) gehuurd bij Klick memories (klickmemories.nl), wat ook een groot succes was; mooie apparatuur, flexibele en zeer goede service (ook op de zondagmiddag). Kortom een echte aanrader voor een goed feest: Restaurant Lieveling, Edwin en Klick memories, bedankt voor de goede service en het mooie feest!

We hebben van te voren 3x een socialdeal geboekt. We hebben hier bijna 100 euro voor betaald. Het eten was fantastisch maar de rekening achteraf was ronduit schokkend. 75 euro bijbetalen! De meerprijzen voor de tournedos was 10 tot 12 euro. Kijk, dat je bijbetaald prima maar deze bedragen zijn schandalig. Geweldig restaurant maar echt schandalig duur, voel me een beetje in de maling genomen! Geen social deal meer voor dit restaurant voor mij!

Yesterday I went to Lieveling's on spec to have something to eat with four adults and a child. Food is good, children's menu is limited. Service (from the staff) and child friendliness could be better. The restaurant was minimally occupied, but we still had to wait more than half an hour for the food.

We had made a reservation in advance and indicated that we did not want to sit in the middle of the store, unfortunately we were referred to a table in the middle of the store, but in the end we were given a table on the side. Too bad the staff found that difficult, it costs something to eat out there, and I think the customer is king. Delicious food, and the service was very friendly.

Back in the animal-unfriendly 90s for lunch at the “Lieveling”, nothing vegan, and the vegetarian option is goat cheese or mozzarella. Just emerged from the 80s when all you could get was a cheese soufflé and a disapproving look if you didn't want to cause animal suffering.

Heerlijk gegeten en het restaurant heeft een warme uitstraling. Alle gerechten waren goed. Wij hebben o.a. carpaccio, pittige kippendij en zalm op toast op. Als hoofd was de tournedos met garlic geliefd en een spicy burger. De nagerechten waren enorm en lekker. De brownie, cheesecake en dame blanche lonkten erg. Kortom echt genoten!

Restaurant has been completely renovated. New interior and extensively renovated and much larger. Atmosphere is super cozy. Service smooth and super friendly. Had a tuna sandwich and an egg roll. Food also ready quickly. Just a nice tent nearby

Nicely located restaurant, good service and delicious food. But €50 makes a lunch for two people ridiculously expensive.

Today we had a 3-course choice menu lunch with amuse-bouche, for a large group. Everything arranged in advance. The performance of both the kitchen staff and the service was very good. What a beautiful restaurant it has become after the new design and renovation. Definitely a place worth visiting.

Celebrated my birthday on Sunday September 8 at Restaurant Lieveling with a walking lunch for 64 people and it was, in a word, fantastic! The location is great, the staff very nice/attentive/professional and the food is delicious. The food intolerances of some guests have also been taken into account. In my opinion, highly recommended!

Hamburger is too salty for me. Price is relatively high. One burger is 20 euros 😂 Atmosphere is good. Place near the lack.

Great restaurants. From bread to starter to main course, all was great. Where i give exceptional rating to restaurants is when they serve additional requested things well before time. I requested mustard and tabasco to go with my steak. The girl serving us got those before serving the course hence i didnt have to wait and let it go cold. This is where good restaurants struggle to get to exceptional service.

Had a great time on the terrace. Beer, wine, bitterballen. Nice, neat, modern place. Too bad the hand dryer is breathing very high. Advantage I could also blow dry. The disadvantage is that the water is blown from your hands over your chest.

Gezellig restaurant met een erg leuke ligging. Personeel is vriendelijk en vlot in de bediening. Heerijk geluncht en goede kwaliteit. Een aanrader en zeker herhaling vatbaar!

Well organized and fun party for our daughter who turned 50.

The location is nice because it is near the lake / water. Food was average, and the price was a bit higher than expected. The service was bad. The waiter was not careful while bringing the order and forgot to bring one of our orders as well, so we have to remind them about it.
