Everything was great: the service, the atmosphere, the food. We ordered entrecote steak with mushroom sauce, fish and chips, carpaccio with truffle, and onion soup.

Enjoyed a delicious lunch deal via SD. Beautifully presented plate with soup, a croquette sandwich with tasty mustard, and an egg sandwich with vegetables. Very friendly staff. Very pleasant terrace.

It was a pleasant experience that you could also sometimes hear the beeping. The staff were very friendly and pleasant when we arrived and were served. The food was certainly good and we all enjoyed it. Excellent food and drink too.

We were on holiday in Limburg and wanted coffee with vlaai!! We ordered coffee at 11 o'clock in the morning and asked which vlaai they had. She had to take a quick look inside and came back with the news that they didn't have any vlaai!! That in Limburg!! I think that is really bad!!!!!!

This is the 3rd time I have been here. Many places in Roermond stop serving before 6:00 PM, for reasons I don't know. Fortunately, you can still just get a table here. I ordered a 0.5 liter Brand beer and a beef salad. Both were fine and worth a repeat visit.

Had a super delicious meal with friends! Starters: carpaccio, beetroot & goat cheese, asparagus soup, etc. Tournedos with peppercorn sauce is highly recommended! Delicious food, super friendly service (I only missed some music on the terrace)

New dish created: beef hamburger without a bun! Got extra fries and served by a waiter with a great sense of humor😂 Delicious, and the same goes for the hamburger!

The steak strips were cooked with soy sauce , a very rich flavor and full of vegetables , so delicious! And the pork chop is tender , with two different sauces ( pepper and mashroom) ，a big portion ! The restaurant is just located on the beautiful square , a good choice to eat after the shopping in the outlet!

I know this place since 2005 and many times visited them. Food is very good and atmosphere is nice because of the great location. Service is absolutely not in line with hospitality business definition. I do not know if we were served by the owner himself or an employee (mature person was busy serving). He served us with lots on non necessary comments, presence, questions and etc… unfortunately he is a full grown up person to be trained… I have a friendly advice: if we were served by the owner himself (dude pay some money to young generation to serve people with a simple smile on their face or if It was an employee ( better to stop working with him immediately). Service destroyed the whole experience this time and created a bad memory and therefore, never ever will visit this place again.

We just enjoyed a truly delicious daily special with 13 ladies, all very satisfied with everything! We were out and about in Roermond's city center last night. We had dinner just a few meters from the outlet center, overlooking the market square. The food was delicious, and the service was very friendly and attentive. We'll be happy to stop by again next time we're in Roermond.

After a day of shopping at the designer outlet, we ate here. Starter: Carpaccio Partner, beet salad with goat cheese, both served with herb butter and bread. Main course: Entrecote and Mussels, generous portions. Served with salad and fries. For dessert: Creme Brulee and Dame Blanche. Everything was beautifully prepared and of good quality. The service was friendly and professional. We will definitely be back.

Anyone with an intolerance will know: in a restaurant that doesn't specifically cater to it, coordinating with your gluten-free diet is often a hassle, and you feel like you're a "difficult guest." It's completely different here! The waiters were very friendly and helpful, and everything was double-checked in the kitchen just to be on the safe side. We felt very comfortable and treated with kindness. The food was also delicious; there were many gluten-free options and even gluten-free bread! Thank you for this wonderful evening!

Lovely terrace in the most beautiful part of Roermond. I ordered a beetroot salad, and it was not only very special but also quite plentiful. My wife's farmer's omelet was also excellent. Good beer in clean glasses, always a plus.

We were here on a Monday evening; the food was delicious. The service was excellent, and the gentlemen were very friendly. You sit on the market square with a view of the surrounding area.

On August 15th, I sat with a former colleague on the open terrace for a drink. We received friendly and pleasant service from a kind and humorous employee. They have a good selection, and I'd heard their food is also very good, but we couldn't confirm that, as we only had a drink. Markt Roermond, near the cathedral.

Vriendelijk personeel en lekker eten. Ik heb een lactose intolerantie maar wou graag een hamburger. Ze zeiden meteen dat het broodje een melkbroodje was. Ze stelden voor om het broodje te vervangen door schijven lactose en glutenvrij brood! Super toch?! Eten super lekker en desserts ook! Gewoon een echte aanrader!

In de L' Union al enige keren gegeten, steeds goed, lekker ! Dus vrijdag besloten om daar weer te gaan eten. Hadden beide een Salade vis besteld. De salade viel erg tegen, totaal geen smaak, geen dressing ! Er lagen ook wat cherrytomaten en reepjes komkommer op Weinig garnalen, in het midden een bolletje tonijnsalade en wat slierten gerookte zalm. Degene die het klaargemaakt had, had ook nog mayonaise erover heen gestrooid, zag uit als een vlechtmatje. Die maakte ik ook vroeger op de kleuterschool. Iemand van het personeel kwam de kom ophalen, hij vroeg heeft het gesmaakt, was het niet te pittig ! Hij kreeg te horen van ons, dat het niet smaakte , geen dressing ! Hij heeft het aangehoord, of hij het doorgegeven heeft weet ik niet. Hij is in elk geval niet meer teruggekomen. Ik zou in zo'n geval de klant toch een cappuccino of iets anders aanbieden. Ontevreden klanten komen niet meer terug. ! De prijs voor die Salade vis was € 21,50 ! DUUR BETAALD, droge sla, weinig groeten en weinig vis !

The service staff is very friendly, but the food is unfortunately not good at all. I had pasta with pesto and chicken, and my husband had pesto Bolognese. My husband liked it so-so, but I didn't like it at all. It's a shame, really.

Expérience désastreuse. On te méprise quand tu demandes pour avoir une carte en français et quand tu demandes pour changer de place car tu es en face d’une cuisine où il y’a plein de passage. Le serveur ne fais aucun effort pour parler un minimum français ou anglais. Nous sommes partis après avoir vu la cartes et son choix restreint. Restaurant à éviter et il cherche juste à faire un bénéfice avec l’outlet qui est pas loin. L’italien plus loin étais bien mieux !

We were supposed to eat here. Pictures on the internet and reviews looked good, but when we arrived they were closed. It turned out that they had had a fire and had therefore been closed for a while. Then put that on your site so that people don't drive there for nothing.

Toen mijn moeder nog leefde ging ik vaak met haar garnalenkroketjes eten op de Markt in Roermond. Nu ik weer terug was in Roermond wilde ik die traditie in mijn eentje herhalen. Bij L'Union had men deze op de kaart staan dus streek ik daar neer. De kroketjes waren prima van smaak. Jammer dat men geen verse jus d'orange serveert.

The worst pasta gorgonzola i have ever tried! No salt, no taste, no gorgonzola… just overcooked pasta and cream sauce. Disgusting! Waiter didnt even ask or care about untouched food. It used to be such a good place, but now never ever again i am coming back to this restaurant.

We waren de maandag na kerst naar Roermond gegaan... we moesten even de weg vinden door de nieuwe uitbreiding, maae gelukkig kwam dat goed! Wat een fijne afronding na bezoek aan de kathedraal, winkelen en hier eten! De keuken is dormidabel, het personeel super en alles is vlot, wat fijn is als je metnde trein bent! Laten we samen dot goede adres eren voor een fijne dag in Roermond. Se sauzen bij de gerechten doen de Franse keuken eer aan, dat moet voor Noord-Neserlanders extra speciaal zijn en door de hartelijke zorgvuldige bediening voelen Zuid-Nederlanders zich THUIS. On December 25th Stopped there spontaneously and actually got a table! Very friendly and attentive staff! The food was delicious and reasonably priced! The restaurant is absolutely recommended! It is very centrally located at Roermond town hall!

Wir waren gegen Mittag auf ein paar Getränke dort und waren sehr zufrieden. Netter Service und saubere EInrichtung. Besonders hat uns der einladende Wintergarten direkt am Rathausplatz gefallen.

While the soup wasn't bad, my spare ribs were very bad. The dish was pre-cooked and just warmed up and steamed after ordering. It wasn't grilled at all. The taste is just like frozen hot wings from the oven at Aldi and Lidl. When I paid, I told an employee that I wasn't happy with the spare ribs. He just answered me with a smile, “yes, but you ate it” YES! Because I was hungry!! After this answer I decided that I would immediately complain to every restaurant without eating any more. So I don't know how the other food in this restaurant tastes, but this place is not recommended for spare ribs. These were the worst spare ribs in my life. Service: 4/5 Friendliness: 4/5 Mussel Pot: 5/5 Spare ribs: 0/5 I went to this restaurant with my girlfriend because she really wanted to have a mussel soup. Located in the center of town with nice open-air seating, I stopped in for a quick bite. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. I ordered fish and chips, but the fish was fried with the skin on and so tough it was difficult to cut with a knife. On the plus side, the service was quick.

You can enjoy good cuisine here on Roermond's market square with a view of the old town hall. The beef carpaccio was fresh and variedly garnished, the salmon was crispy on the skin and juicy. The service was friendly. The wine prices were, as unfortunately usual, high.

Beautifully centrally located on the square between two large, impressive churches. You can sit outside in a relaxed atmosphere in the middle of the hustle and bustle or inside or in the winter garden at the beautifully set and decorated table. The service is very friendly and attentive. The dishes are well prepared for tourists such as fried fish or schnitzel, but they also like to cook good and fresh food (menu or catch of the day). We had fresh cod and steamed vegetables.

We ate at l'Union for twelve hours. It was very complete and tasted very delicious!! Despite the beautiful terrace weather, we sat inside. Since you can sit behind a very large window, you still have a terrace experience and you can look out over the lively market square. The side wall of the restaurant was open, so it was still nice to pass through.

Sitting here in the shade on the terrace today. There was plenty to see from the terrace because of the Saturday market. Had a few drinks here with my daughter. These were nice and cold with ice cubes. A carpaccio for my daughter and a chicken patty for me. The carpaccio looked delicious, the patty could have been a little bigger in my opinion, but in terms of taste it was tip top. The service was smooth and friendly

I think we found the best place to eat well in Roermond after seven in the evening! A beautiful and comfortable terrace with a magnificent view of the central square. The food was delicious, the prices reasonable and our server was just wonderful. Friendly with an excellent sense of humor. We left the restaurant very satisfied, with smiles on our faces!

On a cold day during Christmas, I went in without thinking and left after enjoying a delicious mussel dish and a bottle of wine. I went shopping at the Roermont Outlet and went in for a meal while taking a walk around the area. This is a restaurant I am thankful for that warmed my frozen body because the FLIX bus did not arrive. The food was overall delicious and there was a lovely waitress.

We were warmly welcomed and this created a very nice atmosphere. There was nothing wrong with the service in general, German, English and of course Dutch were spoken fluently. We were served quickly and very carefully, so nothing was missing. The location was also very inviting. Everything was clean and beautifully decorated. The food was also delicious. Would recomment!

We had a super nice spot behind the glass. The food was really delicious! Had spare ribs and the pork schnitzel, which were great! The satay was a bit on the dry side. We also got a lot of fries.

Op terras oerbrood carpaccio en oerbrood gerookte zalm besteld. Smaak was zeer goed. De bediening was ook zeer attent en aardig. . Daarna nog toetjes en koffie besteld. De overall indruk was top. Een minpuntje, de witte wijn was wat aan de zoete kant. Ze hadden 3 soorten, het was dan ook meer onze fout. Daarvoor toch 5 sterren

Wij dachten even lekker leuk op een terrasje te gaan zitten, bevrijdingsdag, druk in Roermond dus de eerste beste tafel gaan zitten. Al snel kwam de gastheer vragen wat we wilde drinken, 2 drankjes en een borrelplankje. Daar ging het al fout helaas, de twee drankjes kwamen niet zoals besteld, afin.. jammer dan heb dorst dus dronk het op zonder er wat van te zeggen. De gastheer had er duidelijk wat minder zin in vandaag. Enkel wat ons op viel bij 30 min terassen is dat er 3 tafels bezet zijn midden op het terras tot grote ergenis van de voorbij lopende gasten en mensen die er gingen zitten en op een onvriendelijke manier direct verzocht werder te vertrekken. Ik begrijp niet dat die tafels überhaupt gereserveerd worden, maar dat is mijn zorg niet. Echter ervaarde wij het als onplezierig en onvriendelijk dat er steeds gasten weg liepen. En wij waren duidelijk niet de enige die het op viel, iedereen sprak er over. Het is mijn zaak niet, maar ik adviseer toch om eens te overwegen hoe het net even iets anders zou kunnen.

Sat here on the terrace on Good Friday, finally sun again! After a morning in the too busy outlet, it was a relief here. Friendly staff, but very young and they can still learn something, for example never to walk back empty-handed or something like that. Lunch was very good, we had beef croquettes and a traditional bread with various fillings. Very tasty and more than enough! Location is good and the atmosphere on the square was relaxed and pleasant!

Hospitality is hard to find here. Upon arrival you are asked to stay downstairs... there was no 4-person table available there... so we had to sit outside... ridiculous.

Delicious and good food with a social deal (3-course dinner)! Nowadays they have purchased the neighbor's building and L'Union is now located here. The 'old' building will soon become a pancake restaurant. The atmosphere was good, nice host and owner had a chat at the table.
